The next few days saw Phoenix working his coat-tails off. He was constantly going over any missed information, looking at new leads, not taking any breaks but for breakfast, showers, and dinner. He had minimal contact with the outside world, trying to sap every piece of information.

But, Phoenix did notice the small things, and one big thing: Yang. Ever since he got there, she acted much more differently. Ruby would tell him something was wrong with her, but he didn't give it any thought. Until 2 days after the phone call. Phoenix was walking back from breakfast, and opened the door without any thought. He went to his desk first, setting breakfast right beside the computer. As he was about to sit down, he heard a small crick form inside his room. He sighed, "Ruby, I thought I told you-" He stopped dead in his tracks as he saw the blonde bruiser standing next to the door. "Umm, Yang...?"

"Yes...?" She answered shake-fully.

"What are you doing in my room...?" He asked slowly, trying to comprehend the situation.

"Well.. uh... I could ask you the same thing!"

"This is kind of my room..."

"Well, uh... I could ask you why you ate Ramen Noodles with a spoon!"

"I don't think that- wait... a spoon?" (A/N)

"Yeah... yeah!" Yang added to the breakthrough, "And I'm pretty sure if the school heard about, you would never hear the end of it!"

"...Fine. I won't tell anyone."

"Good." And with that, Yang left the attorney standing there.

"Wait... Did I just get blackmailed via spoon...?"

At first, he didn't care much about it. But, as the week progressed, it became a larger curiosity. But he couldn't worry about that right now. Phoenix knew what he needed to focus on. And, everything was going better than planned. Again, better than planned.

2 nights after the "Yang incident", Ruby was in Phoenix's room, yet again, looking around his room. Ruby looked over his suitcase, and started digging into it, with Phoenix's permission, of course. Then, she found it: her new addiction. "Hey, Mr. Wright, what is this?" He turned, and saw her holding a multi-colored cube.

"Oh, that's a Rubik's cube."

"A... Rubik's cube?" She asked slowly, making sure she got the pronunciation right.

"Yup."

"What's that?"

"Well," Phoenix called for the cube with his hands, which Ruby threw to his hands, "The object is to solve it, by getting all the colors on the right side."

"Oh... but, it's already solved."

"Not for long..." Phoenix said, as his hands went to work, making a puzzle for Ruby. He tossed it back to her to play with. She immediately dug into it.

As the clicks of the Rubik's cube filled the background, Phoenix continued his search through the victims information, when he came upon a startling discovery. He almost fell back in his chair. He almost expected Ruby to ask what just happened, but she was so involved with her Rubik's cube, that she took little note. He kinda missed her little voice of curiosity.

Just after, someone knocked at his door. "Come in." He called, and turned back to his work.

"So, you haven't completely made a mess of this room, huh?" Blake teased as she walked next to the attorney.

"Hey, take a look at this." Phoenix pointed to a part of the document he was surprised about.

"Hm... Mr. Geno Cavani, 28, currently resides in the Crystal Waters hotel... yeah, what about it?"

"Now read this:" Phoenix handed her another document, replacing it with the former.

"Crystal Waters hotel... A Motorcycle's Paradise. Only for people with motorcycles. Hey, I think Yang has a sticker on her breifcase about that place."

"Yeah, she does," chimed in Ruby. Blake looked over to her, "Ruby, how long have you-"

"Since Mr. Wright gave me this cube thing..."

"Oh ok..."

"Ok, now here are the schematics to the building."

"Ok, and so?"

He pointed to one spot on the map, "Here is the window that the hose went in. It's on the second level. Now, let's look at the parking garage, the only way to get a vehicle close to the window." He pointed to the parking garage, "But this isn't any old parking garage; It's a motorcycle specific parking garage. And the way to get to the second floor is by riding your bike to the service elevator, here." He pointed to it. "And, might I add, the truck that was used in the killing wouldn't have even gotten close to fitting in there: A Contradiction."

"Hm. Good work." Blake commented. "But, I do have a favor of you to ask."

"Sure, go ahead."

"Well, remember those files I gave you?"

"Yeah, there in my bag, I can go get them-"

"No, keep them. I was just- I mean, I was wondering if- Ah! There isn't an easy way to phrase it nicely, but could you work on it after this whole trial hub-bub deal?"

"Of course! How could I forget! I'm sorry. I'll get right on it after the trial."

"Thanks." Blake then turned her attention to Ruby, "Ruby, it's time for bed."

"But the Rubik's cube-"

"No buts!"

"But we all have them..." Ruby back talked, which drew a snicker out of Phoenix. Blake glared at him to not encourage her, which then he turned serious. "Ruby, you can keep it if you get out of this room in fi-" Before he could even finish the first number, she was out of there. Blake walked out of his room at a much slower pace than Ruby, and shut the door behind her. Phoenix sat there for a few moments, and decided to go to sleep early.

Elsewhere...

"I just don't know, Apollo... I don't know how he would react if he told him..."

"He'll be fine with it, Athena... I'm sure."

"I don't know, this is pretty serious for us..."

"It's only a small change, he'll get over it."

"A small change!? This is life changing!"

"Only for him, we've seen this coming the entire time." Apollo and Athena were both sitting on the couch, a candle lit to light the room. Apollo and Athena were holding each other's hand, looking intently to the eyes... on the screen. Then, the title screen popped up, and the pilot of the new show, The Samurai of Candy, was showing.

"I think it's too sweet for him, Athena..."

"Too childish also..."

"Psh, I'll say!"

"I mean, how is this going to replace the Copper Samurai?"

"We saw this coming, after his dog dies to the plague. It was a sign only Mr. Wright missed..."

"Man, he won't be happy about this..."

"When is the old man ever happy...?" They both giggled to this, as the only hand warmer was between their hands. They didn't want to use the electricity, hence the candle. They both groaned, as the new samurai was shown for the first time. How. Revolting.

Beacon Academy- Phoenix's room.

Phoenix woke up late that day, knowing he only had 1 important thing to do:

"Yes, may I speak to a man by the last name of Carson? … Yes, that's him, thank you. … Mr. Carson? Hello, this is Phoenix Wright. I have decided to take up the trial. Tell the guards to text me the trial information. … No, this isn't a joke. Your little organization set this up. … Yes, I will see you at the trial. Until then." Phoenix hung up his phone, and looked to the pile of papers he had to return to the library. He groaned, but fortunate this trial won't be very hard.

But, looks can be deceiving... And not even Mr. Wright may not be prepared for the coming trial...

To Be Continued...

A/N: Chapter done! How, I feel good. Twice in 3 days, that's good for me! Anyways, that A/N earlier was a shoutout to the guy that I used spoon on accident. I guess it turned into a plot device. Thanks guy. You have made an impact of the story... with a spoon... Hahaha, I kid, I kid. Good catch. It was a mistake, but I won't go back and correct it.

Anyways, Sorry it was shorter this time. It's late, and I have school tomorrow in 15 degree weather here in Nashville... fun.

Also, A HUGE shoutout to Codyknight22 for ending his Child of Grimm series. If you haven't already, read it. All 87 chapters of it. It is a master piece worth all the praise it's gotten. So go check it out!

Also, next chapter might be a little slow; it all depends on if I want to do the trial all in 1, or section it like the last time. I'll write it still, but the style depends how I feel at the time.

Anyways, that's it for this A/N. Any comments, reviews, Constructive criticisms all accepted. Tah tah for now!

May God be with all of you this week
