Hey guys, I'm trying to update as much as possible, summer is almost over :(. Also I know a lot of people are commenting on how I've been spelling "Albarn" and "Tsubaki" wrong, I really really am sorry and I'm confused how to correct them without messing up the process. So could anyone please please PM me the easiest way to correct these mistakes, I know this is something remedial, but please please help me, I am very sorry about this.

Also I'm typing this chapter out of sheer excitement and fear of getting my GCSE's results tomorrow/later on in the morning... Anyone else feeling like this for their GCSE's?

Hope you enjoy it, comment and like this story. xD Many thanks.

Snap Snap Snap.

"Did you hear that?" His eager ruby red eyes flickered towards the direction of the disturbance. Showing restraint, he straightened his face so he did not reveal his disappointment. Only just letting his almost emotionless face slip with a slight growl of annoyance. Gripping the edge of the table as a form of anger management, he squeezed the dead wood as if it was absorbing his anger. Glancing down at the familiar round ashy-blonde head who did not notice this disappointment. Thankfully.

"Do you think it's one of your fangirls?"Maka glared insistently in the direction. Her knees slightly bent, almost willing to go and investigate the sound. She dug her nails deeply into her palms in indignation and.. although she was reluctant to admit it... scared. Just at the thought of Soul's infamous fangirls sneaking around made Maka's blood boil, how could a large group of people be so influenced by one teenage boy? It wasn't the fact that they liked Soul that annoyed Maka, it was how persistent, forceful, selfish and vicious they were towards other girls.

"How about your fans?" He joked, he almost had the cheek to smile at her in this situation. Maka raised her eyebrows, her eyes stormy with sarcasm and anger, which made Soul retreat.

"Fucks sake, I'm gonna be slaughtered tomorrow. And it's all your fault!?" Maka jumped out of her position, surprised at how ridiculously close she was to him. Too close. She was way too comfortable and familiar in between Soul's leg than she really should have been.

"My fault? You're the one who wove herself between my legs" He gestured to the exact spot where Maka just stood, he still felt her gently warmth tickling his thighs. Soul forgot his anger as it blurred into confusion, very quickly... So quickly that it made his head spin a little.

"Me?! You keep mentioning me and Kidd! As if you're jealous of him!"

"I keep mentioning him! You always bring him up in our conversations! It's as if you are obsessed with him!"

"I AM NOT obsessed with Kidd!" Soul let his eyes glance down as he almost forgot that he enjoyed seeing Maka all riled up and her eyes sparkled up with anger... Was he masochist ?

"HA! YOU LOOKED DOWN!" Maka jumped up and down, as if she was on a pogo stick. It was almost like a manga drawing how quickly her expression changed from frothing at the mouth with anger to amused excitement and pointing at Soul.

"What do you mean HA?"

"You are in luuurve with Kidd! I knew it! Why else would you keep mentioning him? God you are so in love with him that you're jealous!"

"Jealous of Kidd?" Soul almost face planted the floor. How dense was she? "Jealous of how meticulous he is of symmetry?" He put his sarcasm and emphasis in that sentence, adding a very high eyebrow rise to give Maka the message.

"Yeah, look at you!" Maka smiled gleefully, she had finally found the answer to her pressing problem. So Soul and Kidd were like Romeo and Juliet... Destined to be together but society got in the way... And Maka would play the Monk and would bring them together... how they were destined to be. It was like Romeo and Juliet for homosexuals.

"Don't get any funny ideas, me and Kidd are just-"

"Unbound lovers?!" Maka looked up at her friend with glazed eyes, full of excitement and happiness.

"I have never ever thought of Kidd that way and probably never will. So stop trying to ship me with guys, it is NOT cute."

"Well why do you keep asking me about Kidd huh? What other possible reason is there?" Maka said, exasperated.

"Have you ever thought that maybe I-"

"OI WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

SMACK SMACK

"You dare waste your detention time by having a lover's spat."

"We were having a slight disagreement Professor." Maka retorted in a very very weak manner as she rubbed the back of her head.

"Well do it at home, because did you guys know I can see the future."

"Eh?"

"I can see that you two will serve detention all summer, or formerly known as summer school. So get back to work. Now." Frankenstein's deadpan intonation on "Now." Shot fear into both of the terrified students.

Just outside the school building:

Shit they almost caught me...

"Do you have them?"

"Yeah."

"Good work. Here. As promised."

"Where did you even get these?!"

"Don't ask if you don't want to know."

"You promise I won't get caught?"

"I can't, you're smart though, if you're smart you won't get caught. Simple"

"You promise you won't tell?"

"Then you have to keep loyal to me."

"I don't plan to make this my day job."

"Do you plan to beat Maka?"

"Yes..."

"Well how else will you beat her?"

"But-"

"But you feel threatened right?"

"Yes."

"Well grow some damn balls. Or I will ruin you and your little secret."

"If you fucking care so much why don't you just tell her?"

"Because it's none of your business. Keep my secret and I'll keep yours."

"..."

"I'll take that silence as a yes. Post those up as soon as they leave. Cover your face so they can't recognize you."

"Fine."

"Don't pout, it doesn't suit you."

A tall, almost foreboding shadow walked away from him, as he walked away he let go of his breath and pinched his glasses as he sunk down to the grass.

-Next morning-

"Eh? When did they do this?"

"Hahaha, Lucky Dawg. Why does he get all the hot girls?"

"Yeah, I know right? Leave some for us guys. Ungrateful bastard."

"Stupid skank, stealing him away from us."

"She has to be dealt with."

"You guys sound like Yakuza."

"Shush dude don't doubt them, girls are a totally different species. Did you not read the book I gave you on your birthday?"

"Look there she is!"

"Confident brat, look how she ignores us, not worried about her crime."

Maka strolled in, after an excellent night's rest she was fully restored and happy as a bunny. Nothing could ruin her day. It was gonna be a great day, fresh start.

"Maka Albarn, how dare you not apologize to us." All of a sudden she was surrounded by a swarm of angry fangirls. Fan girls that were creepily insistent on fantasizing about Soul... Shit.

"Apologize for what... For beating you in all our exams?" She was not gonna let some petty, stalker-ish fangirls ruin her fresh and bright new day.

"You seduce our Soul-Sama and then insult us. You rude bitch!" One screeched, almost setting off the rest of them.

"Seduce? Me? Please I thought you were ignorant and spoilt but not dumb. Stop wasting my time." Slamming her locker to formalize her statement.

"You are one of the-"

"Wait.. Seduce? Why do you say I'm seducing him?"

"You dumb little bookworm. You think you know it all, you thought you could get away with taking away our Soul." Another random girl spat out with disgust and detest. The rest of the airhead squad nodded towards the bulletin board.

Holy mother of- Is it possible to get away without getting into scratched to death by these bitches? 20 per cent? Slim pickings...

"That was photo-shopped" she blurted out, as she prayed to God that these damn fangirls were too hyped up on energy drinks to see her sweating nervously as she lied her ass off.

"Looks pretty real" A random voice in the airhead squad commented.

"It's the 21st century genius, anything can be photoshopped." Maka feigned her condescending, usual tone to hide her lie. The small mumble that covered the atmosphere told Maka that she had caused doubt, so hopefully they could see her being "truthful", however she guessed that they were too infatuated and pissed about..

"HEY, IS THAT BLACK-STAR MAKING OUT WITH KIDD?"

"Kya~! No way!"

"Eh~? She lied!"

"Crap we lost her."

"We'll get her back later, she'll have to get to class sooner or later."

With Maka:

Holy crow, who knew Satan's mistress's could cause me so much trouble. Should be safe from now... Crap I knew it was one of Soul's fangirls. Idiot didn't believe me. Soul why do you have to cause me more trouble than needed.

"Hey... Psst"

Great, now I'm going crazy.

"Hey bookworm!" She twirled round instantly at the usual nickname insult. There and behold was Soul Eater Evans, long time frenemy, high school king.

"You deaf? Get in here before they catch you!" Soul partially hid is figure with the janitor cupboard door, making him look a little less appealing and more creepy. However Maka figured she would have to skip some of her lessons, but only for her own safety. Who knows what those fangirls are capable of? So he reluctantly followed Soul into the Janitor closet.

"This isn't another one of your secret traps right?"

"What do you think me as?"

"Old pervert who preys on innocent girls" Maka replied, dead pan. Her face emotionless and her expression: not impressed. She was supposed to be in her history class and here she was, crammed in a tiny cupboard, with her closest friend and enemy that she had tried to kiss yesterday. Yes, she'd hate to admit but she couldn't lie to herself. She, Maka Albarn, sworn enemy of Soul Eater Evans tried to plant one on him. What had humanity come to?

"Hmm, charming Albarn." He chuckled. He actually chuckled. Even though Maka had sworn to stay out of Soul's life as much as possible she didn't mind hearing him laugh. It was slightly lilting, and musical. Which wasn't much of a surprise since he was born into music. Once Soul's musical laughter had ceased, an awkward silence started to settle, much like the dust that had collected in the corners of the Janitor's cupboard. Maka who was so used to studying at her desk, leg' crossed had lost her stamina for standing for long periods of time, felt her legs go weak and she crumpled slightly on the floor.

"Oi, you alright?"

"Mhmm." She leaned back, against the shelves of equipment, the dim light from the single energy-saving bulb barely lit her face.

"So.. Did you see them?"

"Pfft, yeah. Your fangirls basically shoved it into my face and I'm pretty sure that's not all they want to do to me." Maka laughed sarcastically, looking at the Janitor door. If she left now she could make the last half of her history class. Inhaling deeply Maka clenched and unclenched her fists, as she was restraining to punch something, or someone.

"Do you think one of our group took a picture of us to make us stop fighting?" She inquired, looking directly at Soul.

"Our group? No. They know how lethal the fangirls are, they wouldn't risk you. Also they don't have any problem in pointing out when we fight. Why would they do it behind our backs? Not even the devil queen Liz would do something like this." Soul defended quickly, looking at his nails trying not to reach her eye contact.

"Hmm. Maybe it's time Soul."

"Time for what?"

"Time to give up. Let's just call it quits. I can't deal with your fan club. It's obvious that they want to drive a wedge between us. It's been obvious since we've stepped though those doors." Maka reasoned, for some reason she sounded quite tired. "Look it's obvious, all these accidents and misunderstandings happen when we fight, argue. We're almost adults now, aren't we? Aren't you tired of making insults about me? I'm tired Soul, I'm tired of thinking of how to dodge your fangirls, no matter how hard I try to repel them, they come back stronger. And I don't think make it this time." Maka coughed, trying to swallow her tears. Trying not to drown in those hateful memories.

"Sorry 'bout that. I forgot about them." Soul rubbed the back of his head shyly. Odd.

"Forget about them? They're constantly on you, like leeches on your ass suc-" Making very suggestive hand gestures and facial expressions. She had definitely swallowed her tears now.

"Yeah, they're kind of a handful. Easier to forget them."

"Hopefully they'll cool down. It can't be worse than this right?"

"No, but it could have been."

"Huh?"

"I came in early to finish the rest of the evaluation, and they were stapled everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE. Where they couldn't staple they stuck on. I got most of them down, but then people came in so I had to run and hide from the... crowd." Soul looked away towards the barely lit, navy coloured door. "I tried to find you so I could warn you but it was a little too late."

"Thanks Soul, I owe you one." Crap, shouldn't have said that. Knowing him, he'll take the chance to... do whatever he does with his fangirls... EWWWW Papa I still wanna be a virgin!

"I'll hold you to that Albarn."

"No weird, sexual stuff Eater, We're still minors!" Maka warned, her tone heavy with threat.

"..."

"Soul?"

"Who do you think took these damn pictures of us last night?"

"Isn't it obvious?"

"Fangirls?"

"Let me take my daily pill of "DUH""

"You could just say it in simpler words, for example: Yes."

"Ahh Soul you know I have to challenge that tiny little brain of yours somehow." Maka tilted her head mockingly.

"Fucks sake Maka."

"What?" She spat out angrily.

"I try to be nice and-"

"NICE?"

"Yes nice. And you throw it back in my face. This is why we have situations like this!"

"Like this? I'm pretty sure that we've never had someone take pictures of us together-" Maka let herself trail, her finger lazily followed her brain process.

"When we fight, we always get caught"

"Yeah, like when you got me macaroons... your stupid fangirls photographed us."

"Do you always like to argue with me, do you find it fun?"

"Do you think we have a toxic friendship? It's weird that we both aggravate each other so much that we're always at each other's throat. That's not normal right. Do you think it's unhealthy? "

"I think we have a very strange one, we just fight... A lot like an old couple" Maka smiled fondly up at Soul.

"Maka"

"Soul, I think it's time we called a truce. A truce where we have to friendly with each other and say nice things."

"Say nice things? You say nice things to me?" Soul threw his head back and laughed as he imagined how ridiculous Maka was sounding.

"See, now I would get mad, but for the sake of my future health I will take the high road and let you laugh it off."

"Fine truce,"

"Wanna make it a bet?"

"Whoever breaks the truce first, like call each other a name the loser has to pay!"

"Fine, what's your wager?" Understanding how dangerous this situation could turn into.

"You have to do whatever the other person says, for 1 week. 12am Monday to 12am Sunday. Deal?" He extended his hand out to finalize the bet.

"Deal" And she took it. Both of them smiled back at each other fondly. "Soul? You know it's quite nice to not always argue with you."

"Same to you Albarn." Trying not to let his heart jump up erratically, they had stopped shaking hands but still held each other's hand tightly.

"Or maybe we should just cut our ties here? And make it easier for ourselves for the future." She suggested in a very nonchalant manner. Soul dropped his hand in shock, staring right back at Maka.

I will update soon. I know there is A LOT of dialogue, but I don't have the patience to actually write a lot of details now, I think we need a dialogue chapter, because everything is much easier when said. The vagueness about the "hidden" characters is a surprise-who wants to beat Maka so badly that they have to take pictures of her and Soul together?

And will Maka and Soul still be in a form of relationship? (Either platonic or romantic)

Still pretty nervous about GCSE's results and I probably made a load of mistakes..

Anyways: Tell me how you feel about this, what I can improve what plot to take and praise as well?

I swear it will be a lot more interesting, although I liked typing this chapter a lot. Gosh it's been so long~ Kya~

Good luck for the GCSE's students of 2014!

Love
