She was walking past the lagoon when she saw the farm girl struggling to carry two laundry baskets to camp. A sudden idea struck her.
"Here, I'll take one of those." She grabbed the larger of the baskets.
"Thanks!" Her burden lessened, Mary Ann ran ahead.
