(REWRITTEN)

Disclaimer: No, I did not magically turn out to be Hiro Mashima's long lost daughter so no, I did not inherit Fairy Tail. Yet.

Lucy's POV-

"We're actually going back to our hometown, Magnolia, and going to school there."

I feared for my jaw as it hung so incredibly wide upon hearing that. Magnolia. I live in Magnolia. Magnolia High is the only high school in Magnolia. I go to Magnolia High.

Holy shit.

Pinching myself with no successful result, I realize that I am, in fact, awake, and that I will be going to school with possibly, the hottest guys ever. With celebrities.

I couldn't tell if I was excited or annoyed. Excited, because they're rich and famous and hot and going to my school. Annoyed, because the school will probably be really crowded and loud and people will be everywhere, and although those four douchebags are hot and talented, they are superficial, spoiled, overconfident, cocky brats.

Running my hand though my hair and sighing loudly after turning the TV off, I got up and slung my leather, light brown backpack over my shoulder before making my way out of the apartment and walking to school.

My phone shook in my hand, and I was already annoyed. My best friend, Levy McGarden, is a so called "Fairy," which, in other words, is an obsessive fan of Fairy Tail. A silly picture of her with her vibrant blue hair illuminated my phone screen as the name "LEV" popped up.

I sighed heavily before answering and holding my phone at least an inch away from my ear, not trusting her to be able to keep her voice down. And unsurprisingly, before I was even able to make a sound, she was yelling.

"FAIRY TAIL IS COMING OUR SCHOOL LU! Holy crap! What the actual fuck! Am I dreaming? Please tell me I'm not dearming."

Reminder to self, wear earplugs next time.

"Well hello to you too, dear best friend," I replied sarcastically.

"Lu this is no time for jokes! Oh my lord!"

"Who says 'Oh my lord' nowadays? What are you, 60?"

"LU!" she yelled frustratedly, causing me to chuckle quietly.

"Okay, sorry Lev. Look, I'm almost at school, so I'll see you, okay?" I offered apologetically before ending the call, not even waiting for a sound of approval, as I shoved my phone into my backpack and continued making my way to school.

And, indeed, I was at school in no more than 30 seconds.

As I neared the gates, I saw a petite blue haired figure jumping in excitement. As soon as her big, brown doe eyes landed on me, she sprinted the few feet that separated us, only to trip and fall forward, making me fall with her.

"Jesus Christ Lev! Calm your ass!" I exclaimed loudly as I brushed the imaginary dust off of my plaid school skirt after she got up.

"I'm sorry Lu, but how can I calm down?! H- they're coming to OUR school, Lu!" The blue haired junior yelled excitedly. I smirked upon hearing her almost mishap.

She's always had an eye for Gajeel, the punk rock drummer of Fairy Tail. He seemed like the rudest person you can ever meet, and I still wonder what Levy sees in him. Of course, since they're famous, her little crush on him didn't matter much and I never bugged her much about it; but now, since there's such a huge chance we'll get to meet them, I get to tease her about it.

"Hm? He?" I tease.

She pouted, turning her back to me and making her way through the school's gates without me.

"C'mon Lev! You know I'm just messing around!" I said, giggling as I hurriedly caught up to her. She huffed and crossed her arms, before our attention was brought to the entrance of the school due to loud shrieks and the sea of people gathering, and people almost trampling us and cutting in between us to get there.

"What the he-" "LU THEY'RE HERE!" Yelled my best friend before sprinting towards them. I cringed, my hand flying to my ear to comfort it, as my eyes followed her to the large crowd forming around the front gate. Feeling a pair of eyes watching me, I turned to meet them, to find that they belong to the one and only, Natsu Dragneel.

His dark, slanted eyes bore into mine for only a second before turning and smiling fakely at some fans. He wore the school uniform, which consisted of a white shirt with a dark blue pair of pants and a dark blue blazer, except he wore an orange shirt with Fairy Tail's logo in red, breaking the school's dress code. Although I doubt he'll get in trouble for it.

Something I've always been exceptionally good at is reading people. My parents always made sure to teach me to understand and read people because they believed that it was a necessary skill in someone's life, and I can't help but agree. It also helped me obtain the one emotion that apparently most kids under 10 years old don't have, empathy, at an extremely young age.

But all I can see in the bassists' eyes and posture is coldness and dullness.

Shrugging it off as an attempt to purposely look cool or mysterious, I make my way to class.

A few minutes after I make it to my seat in the back corner of the classroom, the bell rings and over a dozen of my classmates rush into class, including Levy.

"Hello class, how was your weekend?" The bright, orange-haired man-child that is our teacher states moments after he managed to get the rowdy class to quiet down. Quiet murmurs of "good," "fun," and "Fairy Tail is here oh my god," arose.

"That's good to hear. Today, we actually happen to have some new students! Which I'm sure you all know," Gildarts announced rather enthusiastically with a chuckle.

You've got to be kidding me.

The class erupted into loud cheers and squeals, already anticipating the boys' entrance. Seconds later, Gray, Gajeel and Natsu made their way in the room, causing the class to get even louder.

"Class!" After many attempts to get people to quiet down, Gildarts managed to get them to quiet down to low murmurs. Sucking in a deep breath, he turned to the three boys with a smile. "Can you please introduce yourselves?"

"Yo! I'm Gray Fullbuster! I'm really looking forward to this year, and it's nice to meet you all!" The charismatic guitarist stated, a wide grin taking over his face as he waved his hand. The class erupted in noise.

"Hey, I'm Gajeel Redfox," said the studded black-haired male. He groaned loudly as the class went through another wave of loud squeals.

All eyes were on Natsu as we waited for him to introduce himself, but all we received was silence. Shoving his hands into his pockets, he turned his head to look at Gildarts.

"Well?" His raspy voice came out, causing even more loud squeals to erupt.

"Aren't you going to introduce yourself?" The older man asked, slightly annoyed, as a vein visibly ticked on his forehead.

"They already know who I am."

"Still-"

"Where can I sit?" He cut him off rudely.

With another deep breath intake to hide his annoyance, Gildarts scanned the classroom.

"Gray, sit next to Loke. Loke please raise your hand." Loke. The popular, hot, player of the school whom I had fallen for long ago, raised his hand and Gray made his way over to him, taking the seat beside him before immediately striking up a conversation.

"Gajeel, next to Levy. She's right by the door." The said girls' pale features suddenly turned very pink, as she looked over at me in panic, making me raise my eyebrow and laugh quietly.

"And Natsu, next to Lucy. Raise your hand please." I groaned internally before raising my hand quietly.

The salmon-haired 18 year old took his seat, immediately putting his head down on the desk. I sighed, looking away from him and putting my undivided attention to Gildarts.

About 30 minutes into the lesson, I heard a low hum and the tap of pencil from my right. Although I had a good guess of who was making the noise, I still looked beside me to find that it is, unsurprisingly, Natsu.

About two hours and two teachers later, I found myself bored out of my mind and falling asleep.

"Hello?" A raspy voice snapped and woke me from my light sleep. I hurriedly sat up, looking around and finding that everyone was gone. Looking at the clock, I notice that it's time for lunch. I felt a warmth takeover my neck and face and I knew how red my face probably looked at the moment.

"Thank you," I said appreciatively as I stood up, grabbing my backpack. He looked back at me and gave me a slight nod before exiting the classroom.

Well that was embarrassing. Taking my phone out, I texted the group chat Levy, Mira, Cana, and I have together that I'll be having lunch at the roof again.

I've always loved the school's roof because of the tranquil and quiet atmosphere it provided me. I would sometimes write, sleep, or just stare at the sky. I mainly go there whenever I feel like being alone, wanting to clear my mind, or simply don't feel like keeping up with my friends' loudness and the school's noisy cafeteria. And today is most definitely going to be one of the most hectic days our school has ever experienced.

Making my way to the roof, I couldn't help but question Natsu's quietness and rude behavior. From all the interviews Levy's shown me, I noticed that he was always the loudest and most enthusiastic out of all he members. But I do know that, of course, celebrities and artists will always fake everything, including their personality for money, and Fairy Tail isn't any different.

"-need it most,

You're gone now, gone but not forgotten."

I looked through the slightly open door to find a mop of pink hair by the railing. I thought about how much of an invasion of privacy and rude this is, but I ignored the nagging in my head and pressed my ear against the door, listening to his angelic, raspy voice.

"I can't say this to your face,

But I know you hear.

You never really left,

I feel you walk beside me

'Cause I know, I'll see you again

When I'm lost, when I'm missing you like crazy

I tell myself I'm so blessed

To have had you in my life,"

Tears began welling up in my eyes. Due to both the realization that maybe, just maybe, Natsu Dragneel is a human with actual feelings, and the fact that the song hit a soft spot for me.

No matter how much I may hate celebrities, or how fake I know Fairy Tail is, I must to admit that they are talented. Because no one could ever ignore Natsu's wonderful voice. It is a perfect mix of raspy and quiet with deep and low, and anyone to ever hear it would always feel so incredibly blessed.

"Gone but not forgotten,

I feel you by my side

Don't worry, but this is not goodbye

This is not goodbye."
