As they rode the elevator to deck one, Ashley asked, "What is going on?"

Shepard, who was at full alert now, said, "I don't know. But, I'm going to find out. Things aren't going how they're supposed to."

"What do you mean?"

"The reapers were supposed to arrive later than this. Kenson, despite her madness, was still good with her math. Her estimate on the time of their arrival was good. And, that is still two weeks out." Shepard said, looking at her terminal. Looking at it, she said, "Miri, get a tech specialist up here."

"We don't have one on the ship yet. We haven't recruited Tali yet." Miranda replied.

"Get someone up here!" Sarah growled, "Because this thing seems to think that we have her on board, and have helped her with her father. Not to mention gone through the Omega 4 with you dying."

"That can't be accurate." Miranda said, "We haven't done any of that."

"I know. So, get a tech expert up here. We need to figure out what the hell is going on here."

Then, Shepard felt herself being shook, and she saw herself back in the Normandy's medical. She looked at Miranda, and asked, "How long did I last?"

"We made it to the door out of this room before you passed out again. You were thrashing in your sleep. There was a temporary burst of activity, then it died down again. What is going on?"

"I don't know. But, I plan to find out." Sarah replied, stepping towards the door. As she approached it, she saw a man dressed in pure black. She glared at him, and said, "You. You're the one doing this to me. What is your problem with me?"

He laughed, and threw her into the wall. "I am not here for you, Shepard. I am here for Lawson."

Shepard groaned, as she pushed off the wall. Leaving an indentation in the wall. She glared at the man, and said, "If you think you can lay a single finger on her, you're a damn fool."

Miranda looked at him, and said, "What do you want?"

"Your assistance with a little project of mine."

"Why don't you explain yourself?" Sarah asked, stumbling so that she was standing between him and Miranda.

"Commander, it is nothing that you would understand. This is advanced technology we'll be working on."

"Try me." she replied, reaching for the pistol on Miranda's hip. As she pulled it off, he simply laughed, and sent Shepard flying again. This time into the window directly to her right.

"Do not force me to terminate you, Shepard. I merely come for Lawson, not you."

"Then why try and force me back to where things were before?"

"Those were my orders." he replied reaching for Miranda, but the Operative rolled away from him, and attempted to throw him into the air with her biotics, but the dark energy simply faded away as it touched him.

Sarah weakly stepped forward, and said, "Who do you work for?"

"That is a secret." he replied, reaching for Miranda.

Shepard grabbed his arm, and tried to break it, but instead of his arm breaking, she felt her own snap in two places.

"You really should learn your place." he said, looking down at her.

Ignoring the pain, she said, "And you should learn that if you think I'll let you hurt Miri, you're a complete idiot."

"Did I say anything about hurting her, Shepard? I merely said I wanted her assistance with a project."

"What is this project?" Miranda asked.

"It will bring about eternal peace. There will be no more conflict. No more war, no more conflict. Pure understanding of all other life in the universe."

"You're working for the Catalyst." Sarah said. "And, you want to have Miranda help you achieve synthesis."

He laughed, and said, "You are smarter than you let on, Shepard. I was sure you would not be able to pick up on that."

"What is synthesis?" Miranda asked.

"Raping the entire galaxy's DNA. Forcing all life in the galaxy to become a mixture of organic and synthetic life." Sarah said, glaring at the man.

"It is the way to peace, Shepard. There is no greater calling than to sacrifice yourself for the greatest good. What if in the Christian Bible had Jesus been as selfish as yourself? Refusing to make the necessary sacrifice to bring about peace? Millenia of religion would have never come into being, if the author had made that one different choice for the character."

Shepard glared at him, and said, "There's a difference between me and him."

"Oh, and what would that be? The Alliance certainly built you up as the messianic figure."

"I'm just a woman who does what she can to beat overwhelming odds without sacrificing her morals. Or fucking nature."

"What an odd thing for a lesbian to say." he replied, laughing softly, "Don't you 'fuck nature' with that decision?"

"You really don't want to go down that road." she replied.

He laughed, "Oh, why is that? Should I be afraid of someone who breaks their own arm when trying to break mine?"

She pointed her good arm at him, and said, "Ok, I don't know how you did that. But, I'm going to find out, and I'm going to kill you for it."

He laughed again, and said, "No you won't. You cannot defeat me."

Chakwas re-entered medical, and saw Shepard still sleeping on her bed, and Miranda had fallen asleep, and landed on top of the Commander. She shook her head, and shook Miranda saying, "Alright, Miranda, time to go get some rest. Shepard will be fine for a few hours."

When Miranda didn't respond, the Doctor pulled the raven haired woman up so she was sitting, and forced an eyelid open. Shining a light in it got no reaction, so she placed her on another bed. She said, "EDI, prepare a neurological scan for Ms. Lawson on bed two."

"Understood, Doctor." the AI replied, as Chakwas put Miranda on the bed.

-=0=-

Chakwas walked in, and asked, "What happened to your arm, Shepard?" as the Commander was clutching it.

"Bastard broke it." she said, pointing at the man.

"Who?" Chakwas asked, as she looked right past him.

Shepard looked at him, and said, "So, this is just another one? You know, you really should work on your tactics. They're starting to get predictable."

He looked at her, and said, "It would appear that this simulation has failed in its purpose." and disappeared.

Miranda looked at her and asked, "Simulation? What's he talking about?"

"Beats me. But, it looks like he dragged you into this one as well. Probably in an attempt to make this more believable."

Miranda was quiet, then asked, "How do we get out?"

"I'm not quite sure. Usually some exposition fairy shows up, and tells me what to do."

"Wait, a fairy?" Miranda asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, not a fairy exactly. Just someone who pops up and tells me what to do."

"Why?"

"Hell if I know." Sarah replied, looking around.

"Who was that guy anyway? And how's your arm?"

Shepard looked at it, and said, "It should be fine."

"We should focus on finding a way out of this simulation."

"My thoughts exactly." the Commander replied, heading to the door. "Maybe through here."

"I seriously doubt it." Miranda said, "If this is supposed to be a functioning simulation with a fake crew to make it more believable, then why would it limit the area of the ship that can be gone to."

"You have a point." Sarah replied, looking thoughtfully at the door. "What if we destroy the simulation? Set the whole damn thing to blow. I mean, we know this isn't real, so if it goes, we might be released from it."

Miranda looked at Shepard, and asked, "How would you do that?"

"We could destroy the drive core while in FTL travel. If this simulation insists on following the rules of reality, that will destroy the simulation."

"Or just part of it, leaving us stranded in space, until we die in here."

"If we die in here, it isn't like we die in reality." Shepard replied, "It's just kinda like a shared dream or something."

Miranda sighed, and said, "I suppose you're right."

-=0=-

Chakwas looked at the data of the scan, and said, "Just like with Shepard."

EDI said, "Doctor, I have noticed something strange in the frontal lobe of both Commander Shepard and Operative Lawson." highlighting a spot on both Shepard and Miranda's brain scans.

"That is just indicative that they're dreaming." Chakwas said, looking at it.

"Allow me to expand it, Doctor. There appears to be something surrounding the points in question, that is leading to something similar to the symptoms that would be expected when one is dreaming."

Chakwas looked at the expanded image, and said, "I have no idea what that is. It's tiny, but definitely there. Call Doctor Solus down here."

"Done." the AI replied.

"Good." The doctor replied. "I want consistent scans to show any shift in the behavior of whatever that is."

"Understood." EDI replied.

-=0=-

Sarah and Miranda stepped into the drive core room, and Sarah said, "Everyone out. That is a direct order!"

"What's this for, Ma'am?" Ken asked?

She looked him in the eye, and said, "I gave you an order, and as your superior officer, I expect you to follow it." before turning to the drive core.

"Understood, Ma'am." he replied, stepping out of the room with Gabby.

Sarah pulled out the explosives they'd picked up in the armory, and said, "Alright. Once I detonate this, the Normandy will instantly exit FTL. It should be torn apart by the massive deceleration. If our theory of destroying the simulation at its source is accurate, that should get us out of this."

"I am afraid I cannot let you do that, Commander." EDI replied. "I cannot allow you to harm this ship, or her crew."

Shepard looked at the small panel, and said, "This is just a simulation of the Normandy, not the actual ship. The regular ship will be fine. So, don't worry about it so much , EDI."

"Commander, I am afraid that you are not in good mental health. Ms. Lawson, please remind the Commander that this is reality, not a simulation."

"I'm afraid I am in agreement with Shepard, EDI." Miranda replied, helping the Commander put the explosive on the drive core.

Sarah looked at it, and said, "If we don't want to get hit by the explosion directly, we'll want to..."

-=0=-

"... get at least to your office on deck three." Sarah said, as her eyes opened on the bed in medical.

Miranda groaned from a bed beside her, and asked, "Where are we now? Another simulation?"

Chakwas, who was examining data, said, "The anomaly has disappeared. What do you think, Professor Solus?"

Mordin replied, "Shepard and Lawson have woken."

Chakwas turned around, and said, "Thank goodness you're alright. I found Miranda unconscious on top of you. Though we finally found out what was causing your strange behavior, Shepard. It appears that something is causing an anomalous energy source to affect your frontal lobe. When it does that, it puts you into something similar to a dream, but you will feel more alert and conscious than if it was just that. We haven't been able to determine anything other than that."

"Also," Mordin said, "believe we may be able to develop counter-measure to protect you from energy source."

Sarah said, "Whatever resources you need for this are available."

"Appreciate it, Commander." the salarian said.

She nodded, and walked towards the exit with Miranda. As they opened the door, she saw Jacob, Ashley, and Garrus standing outside. Garrus asked, "How are you doing, Shepard?"

"I'm fine." she replied.

"Bullshit." Ashley replied. "You just randomly passed out! What did Cerberus do to you during the reconstruction."

Miranda said, "I was in command of the reconstruction. Our orders were clear, bring Sarah back exactly how she was before. And that's what we did."

"Then how come she's passing out all over the place?" Ashley asked, glaring at Miranda.

Shepard said, "That isn't Miranda's fault. It's due to something far more complicated than my resurrection."

"What?" Garrus asked.

"You remember what I told you on Virmire, Garrus?" she asked, looking him in the eye.

"Yeah." he replied. "And I thought you were totally nuts, but everything's going how you said it would."

"Well, I think it is related to that."

"Then how come it didn't happen until recently?" he asked.

"I am not sure. I just, I feel like there's something regarding what happened back there that I don't remember. Something that's at the tip of my mind, but I just can't remember it."

"Do you have any idea what it might be?" Miranda softly inquired.

"I don't have any actual facts about it that I can remember." she replied, "Just a gut feeling that I forgot something. Maybe I'm just going crazy." Shepard said, slightly shaking her head.

"I can say for sure that you aren't going crazy, Sarah." Miranda replied, placing a hand on her shoulder.

Garrus then said, "Well, if everything is okay here, I'm going to go back to the main battery."

"Have fun calibrating the gun, Garrus." Shepard said, as he walked away. He turned around and said,

"Of course. After all, I am your giant, badass gun calibrating turian."

"Wouldn't want anyone else to do the job." she replied.

"Not sure if I should feel complimented or hurt by that comment." he replied, walking into the main battery.

Ashley said, "Jacob and I need to get back to the armory. We have a lot of work to do up there."

"Right." Shepard replied, "I think I'm going to get something to eat."

"Gardner's sleeping at the moment." Jacob said , "So you'll have to cook it yourself."

"You say it like that's some great challenge, Jacob." Shepard replied, walking over to the small kitchen.

He laughed, and said, "I've heard some things about your previous forays into cooking. Something about putting a race cooker over a fire."

"That didn't happen." Shepard replied, as Ashley said to Jacob,

"We've got work to do."

Meanwhile, Miranda walked up to the kitchen behind Sarah, and asked, "What are you going to make?"

"Waffles!" she replied, with a huge grin on her face.

"Do we even have a waffle iron?" Miranda asked.

"Of Course! Do you really think that the great, waffle-loving, Commander Shepard would work on a ship that didn't have one?"
"I never knew you were so fond of them."

She chuckled, and said, "Well, the Alliance never found it necessary to bring it up, as I always kept myself fit." as she pulled out a couple of bowls.

"Is there any way I can help?"

"Sure, Babe," Sarah said, quickly kissing Miranda. "I'll need some milk and eggs. Also, if there's vanilla extract that'll be helpful."

Miranda nodded, and walked over to the fridge. Sarah opened a cabinet, and pulled out some all-purpose flour. She also grabbed the cinnamon on the shelf directly below it. She looked through the cabinet, and said, "Dammit, where's all the baking powder?"

A crewman who always seemed to be in the mess hall when Shepard was down there, said, "The cabinet to your right, Ma'am."

"Thanks." she replied as she pulled it out. She then turned around to the kitchen's island, and started pouring flour into the larger of the two bowls.
Miranda then said, "AHA! There it is." before walking over and putting down everything Sarah had requested.

"Thanks, Miri." Sarah said, grabbing the eggs container from her and cracking open a couple of them into the smaller bowl.

Miranda then asked, "Did you measure out the flour?"

"No need." Sarah replied, "I've made this recipe so many times I could do it with my eyes closed."

"Want to beat, Commander?" Miranda asked, with a mischievous glint in her eye.

"What would the bet be, Ms. Lawson?" Shepard asked.

"I was thinking, if you can make your waffle batter without sight, it might make so that I had fully gotten my bearings." she replied.

Sarah laughed, and said, "And if not?"

"Well, I guess I'll still be a bit disorientated."

"You're on, Miri." Sarah said, chuckling, "But, one limitation. You let me make sure that I have all the ingredients I need, and don't try any kind of sabotage. You wouldn't want me to get hurt, now would you?"

"Of course not. What else do you need?"

"Just some sugar. Oh, do I have to cook the batter, or just put it together with my eyes closed?"

"That wouldn't be safe. And would probably make a massive mess." Miranda said, laughing.

Sarah laughed, and said, "Took me years to figure out the exact right amount of batter to put in so that you have a good sized waffle without making a mess."

"If that's the case you certainly are a woman of hidden talents." Miranda replied. "I remember my father's professional cooks couldn't do that."

Sarah looked at Miranda, and asked, "Have you ever had to cook for yourself?"

"A few times." Miranda said. "I was never very good."

"We'll have to remedy that, Ms. Lawson." Sarah said, as she closed her eyes. "Are we going to do a blindfold?"

"I don't think we have one on the ship."

Then, the same crewman who had told Sarah where the baking powder was, asked, "Did someone say they needed a blindfold? I've got one."

Shepard opened her eyes, and said, "I'm afraid to ask, but why do you have a blindfold on you?"

"Picked one up on the Citadel last time we were there. For bets if people would have the guts to eat something prepared in the kitchen without being able to see it first."

"Thanks, I guess." Sarah said, as she took it, and tied it around her eyes. Returning to working on the batter.

As she expertly maneuvered her way around the kitchen, moving the ingredients and tools about confidently as she put together her batter. After a while she tasted it, and started adding some more vanilla, saying, "Too bland, needs more vanilla. And a touch more sugar."

After adding said ingredients, she tasted it, and said, "Perfect." taking the blindfold off.

Miranda looked at the batter, and asked, "Why is it red?"

Shepard looked at it, and said, "Can I see that vanilla you gave me?"

"Of course." Miranda said, handing the bottle to her.

The Commander looked at it, opened the bottle, and peered in, before saying, "This is red vanilla."

"Red vanilla? I've never heard of it. What's so special about it?"

"It's been modified to work as a flavored food-coloring agent."

"How much did you put in that it's red, not pink?" Miranda asked, looking slightly fearfully at the batter.

"The right amount." Sarah said, "Taste it, you'll see."

Miranda sighed, and said, "Alright." Nervously using the spoon Shepard had stirred the batter with to put some on her hand.

After tasting it, she said, "It's good. But, why is it so red if you didn't put in way too much?"

"Must be an extra potent coloring agent." Sarah said, as she pulled out the waffle iron.

As it slowly heated, Miranda asked, "Shouldn't we have done that before hand?"

"Nope. This gives the ingredients a bit more time to let the flavors get more potent. That way, it'll be closer to what you previously tasted after cooking. They lose a bit of their flavor after cooking, for some reason."

"You mean to say you don't know?" Miranda asked, "From what you had said, I thought that you were some kind of waffle guru."
"The only thing I'm a guru of is kicking ass." she replied.

"And getting shot in the process." Miranda teased.

"Usually my shields catch all the damage I would have." she replied, as Chakwas walked out, and asked, "Are you making waffles, Sarah?"
"Yeah." she replied.

"I hope you remembered to make enough batter." she said, sitting down at a table near them.

"Of course I remembered, Doc." Sarah replied. "I still have nightmares about what happened last time I didn't make enough batter."
"What happened last time you didn't make enough batter?"

"She spiked my drink, and I ended up getting into a bar fight with four M3's. At the time I was an N1. Got one hell of a black eye."

"And quite the scar on your left side." Chakwas added.

"That bastard cheated." she muttered, "He brought a knife to a fist fight."

"Maybe you should have been more careful in who you flirt with while you're drunk.." Chakwas said, laughing.

"How was I supposed to know that he was married to her?"

"The rings on their fingers?" Chakwas asked. "And, he did politely ask you to leave his wife alone. I seem to recall you slurring out your status as an N1, and his as an M3."

"I wouldn't know. All I remember is getting cut, and hitting on someone who it turned out was married."

Miranda chuckled, and said, "You can be quite mean, Doctor."

Chakwas returned the laugh, and said, "We're just joking, Miranda. That did happen, but it was just that Sarah got drunk without outside influence."

Miranda just nodded, used to the strange sense of humor that Shepard and Chakwas had. A moment later, The commander put down a plate with four waffles on it.

After putting more batter in the iron, she sat down beside the others, and took a waffle for herself. They sat there in the mess hall quietly, just enjoying their food. The only interruption being Sarah standing up to go grab the next batch and pour more batter in. After a while, she said, "Well, this is the last batch."

After the last waffles were gone, Chakwas said, "Thanks for the waffles, Sarah. Always know just how to make them."

"No problem, Doc." Sarah replied, as she took the dishes to the kitchen.

"So," Miranda said, "Where did you learn this recipe?"

"The base recipe I was taught by my mother." She replied, "But I experimented with it and over the years found a modification that I liked."

"How many variants did you go through?"

"Only a couple dozen."

"I never would have pegged you as the kind of person who would like waffles that much."
Sarah looked at Miranda, and said, "Are you sure you researched into me to the point where you essentially knew everything there is to know about me?"

"I did what I was able to get access to. Your fondness of waffles was never mentioned in any report or other officially recorded matter."

"I see." Sarah said, "In case you're wondering why the badass savior of the galaxy has such a fondness for waffles, feel free to ask."

Miranda laughed, and said. "Alright. Why are you so fond of them?"

"When I was a kid, mom would always wake me up early on Saturdays and we'd make waffles together. Enough for the whole family. And, while we may not have been that huge a family, me, dad, Jessica and Cynthia ate a lot of waffles. Mom didn't eat quite as much."

Miranda nodded, and said, "Thanks for telling me, Sarah." as she wrapped an arm around the Commander's shoulder.

Sarah replied, "You can ask me anything and I'd tell you the answer, Miri."

"I know." Miranda replied.

-=0=-

Jack was looking at the plan that had been made for the assault on the Collector Base, making sure that there weren't any problems with it. After a while, she sighed, and said, "Can't find anything wrong with it."

-=0=-

Sarah said, "EDI, do we currently have a destination set?"

"We are currently headed towards Illium to recruit the Justicar." the AI replied.

"Good." she replied. "Let me know when we get there."

"Will do, Commander." The AI replied.

"Thanks." she replied, as she and Miranda rode the elevator to the loft. Inside, the Commander said, "You know, I don't think I'm in the mood."

Miranda laughed, and asked, "Are you serious?"

"Do generic villains want to take over the galaxy for no good reason? Are the reapers controlled by an idiotic star child AI who may or may not have been raped as a subroutine? Was Peter Cullen the true voice of Optimus Prime?"

"I don't get that last one." Miranda replied. "Who's Optimus Prime? Who was Peter Cullen?"

Sarah laughed, and said, "You know, I think I'm going to have to educate you about the old Transformers tv shows, and the movies which were basically boobs, giant robots beating the shit out of each, blowing each other up, shooting each other in the face, and generally just taking badass action to a different level."

Miranda laughed, and said, "You certainly do have some strange fascinations."

"What can I say, I may send out the impression of being a tough, badass soldier, but I'm just a big, nerdy kid."

Miranda laughed, and said, "I wouldn't call you a nerd." running a hand along the Commander's chest. "You certainly don't spend that much time on such things. It's just a quirk of your personality."

Sarah smiled, and as she wrapped her arms around Miranda, and said, "Where would I be without a girlfriend like you. One who accepts me, even with all of the strange things that I love for no good reason."

"Well, I happen to love you," Miranda said, kissing Sarah's neck. "Despite the fact that being close to you did lead to my death."

"I did turn back time over two years to bring you back, didn't I?" Sarah said.

Miranda laughed, and said, "Even when I fell and died, I wasn't angry about dying. I just, I wished that I would have had more time to be with you."

"So, you remember what was going on as you died now?" Sarah asked, running a hand along the back of Miranda's hair, feeling the silky black hair beneath her fingers.

"Yeah." Miranda replied. "Happened a couple of days ago."
Sarah kissed Miranda, and said, "So, how does it feel, remembering your death?"

"Let's just say I have a better understanding for what you went through."

"It's traumatic, huh." Sarah said.

"If anyone else said that," Miranda replied, slipping out of Sarah's arms, and walking over to the bed. "I would say that they had no idea."

"But I've been through it too?" Sarah said.

Miranda turned around, slipping the top of her outfit of her shoulders, revealing her elegant black bra. "Of course. Though I do hope that your bed is more comfortable than the engine room floor."

"I think you'll find that it is." Sarah said, "What were you thinking when you chose there?"

"The Illusive Man wouldn't have been able to watch." Miranda replied.

Shepard said, "You make a very valid argument, Ms. Lawson." With a grin, "So, why not concerned now?"

"I had Mordin clear my office and the loft, since he did such an efficient job in the lab."

Sarah grinned, and kissed Miranda. The Operative wrapped her arms around the N7, and pulled her down onto the bed. As they kissed, gently, Miranda began to pull up on Sarah's shirt. The N7 pulled away for a moment, to help Miranda pull it off, and then recaptured the Operative's lips.

As they continue to kiss, Sarah feels Miranda's tongue on her lips. The Commander instantly grants the access the woman beneath her seeks, and counters each blow the tongue makes with one of her one. Neither is trying to be the dominant partner, but rather are both submitting equally to the other. As their bodies meshed tightly together, both women began to quicken the pace of their kiss. What had started slow, almost tentative, had quickly changed into a deep and passionate kiss.

As Sarah's hands slowly roved along Miranda's sides, the Operative's slipped lower, and firmly grasped her ass. A small moan escaped the Commander's lips, as they shortly broke their kiss for air. She then smiled at Miranda, and said, "Don't you think that's a bit... forward, Ms. Lawson?"

Miranda continued to need the flesh through the fabric of the standard Alliance pants, eliciting another moan from the Commander.
She then said, "Do you really mind, Commander? Because, you seem to be enjoying yourself."

"Never said I wasn't, Ms. Lawson." she replied, kissing Miranda's neck. As she sucked gently on the flesh, Miranda groaned with pleasure.

The Commander continued to do that for a while, before trailing kisses down Miranda's neck, and to the spot between her breasts which drove her wild. As Miranda felt Shepard's tongue between her breasts, she moved her hands from the Commander, to take off her own bra, but felt Sarah's arm stop her. The Commander raised her head, and said, "I think you've forgotten something, Babe."

"What would that be, Honey?" Miranda asked.

Sarah begin to pull on the lower half of Miranda's catsuit, and said, "You still have some of this on." Once she got it off, she stepped away from the bed, and said, "I need to use the bathroom. Be back in a couple of minutes." Miranda looked at her, and asked,

"You're joking, right?" looking her in the eye.

"I haven't used the restroom in over ten hours, Miri. It'll just be a minute." Sarah replied, taking a quick picture of Miranda lying on the bed in just her underwear.

As the Commander slipped into the bathroom, and it closed behind her, Miranda muttered, "Bloody tease." After a couple of minutes passed, and Sarah was still in the bathroom, Miranda got impatient, and walked into the room. Standing at the sink, washing her hands, was Sarah, her pants lying on the floor. When she turned around and saw Miranda, she smiled, and pressed her against the wall, her left hand on Miranda's abdomen, the right on her back, while Miranda put a hand on the side of her head. As Shepard leaned in to kiss her, Miranda said, "EDI, activate my omni tool and use it to take a picture of this." as she closed her eyes.

EDI said, "Done." a second later.

"Thank you." Miranda replied, as Sarah captured her lips in a passionate kiss. Their tongues dancing in each other's mouths. Then, a moment later, she felt the Commander's right hand unclasp her bra, and toss it aside. As she felt the hand on her side move up and gently cup one of her breasts, Miranda let out a soft moan, and once again began to kneed the flesh of Sarah's ass.

As the two women kissed, moaning as they felt the other touch them, Sarah once again guided them to the bed. As Miranda felt the mattress hit the back of her knees, she pulled away from Sarah, and slowly fell onto the bed. She winked at the Commander, and curled her finger, telling the Commander to come further.

Sarah smiled, and quickly was again on top of her love. As she kissed her way down Miranda's neck, then the upper chest, and finally reached her destination, the raven haired woman groaned and began to gyrate her hips against the air, though not for long, as soon Sarah's knee was put where she could grind against it.

At the same time, Sarah kissed circles around Miranda's breasts, slowly going higher, until she wrapped her mouth around the Australian's hardened nipple. As she switched between gently flicking it with her tongue and sucking softly on it, the Operative's grinding against her knee grew faster, and her moans of pleasure louder. When Sarah gently bit down on the nipple and pulled the other with her right hand, Miranda arched her back in pleasure, pushing more of her nipple into Sarah's mouth.

As she ravished Miranda's breast, and felt the moistness in Miranda's panties as the woman grinded against her knee, she felt heat rush to her core. As she continued to caress one breast with her hand, and the other with her mouth, and Miranda's moans grew louder and the moist spot on her underwear grew larger, so did the one on the N7's.

Sarah shortly thereafter released the nipple, and caught the other one in her mouth, her hand beginning to gently caress the flesh of the other. She continued to ravish Miranda's breasts that way for a few minutes, until releasing the nipple with a slight pop, and removing her knee from between Miranda's legs.

Miranda let out a disappointed sigh, but it soon changed to another moan, as Sarah pulled her soaked panties off. The Commander kissed Miranda again, the Operative wrapping an arm around the Spectre's neck to keep her there, while she ran her hand up and down her leg with excruciating slowness. With each repetition her hands grew closer to Miranda's core, until finally, she ran a single finger along the slit, earning a loud moan from the woman. She continued to slowly rub the slit, until finally slipping a single finger inside of her.

Instantly, Miranda's hips began to move, trying to get the finger deeper. As Sarah slowly pushed it in, and out of Miranda, she added a second finger, earning even louder moans from the Operative. A moment later, she broke the kiss, and when Miranda reached to pull her back down, she said, "Don't worry, Miri. You'll prefer this." as she moved down.

As she slowly kissed her way down the Operative's body, the marine soon found her face hovering directly above the core of the perfect woman beneath her. She then slowly licked the outer slit, while still pushing her fingers in and out of Miranda's core, as the woman's hips moved in a synchronous rhythm with the fingers.

As Sarah's tongue ran along Miranda's soaking wet core, she savored the moans of the woman above her, and the flavor of her juices. As she curled her tongue around Miranda's clit- squeezing it- the Operative groaned, as her body was flooded with the sensations of her climax..

As Miranda's juices flooded out of her into Sarah's mouth, the Operative had her eyes sealed tightly shut, riding out the sensations of her orgasm, as Sarah prolonged it for as long as possible. When she had finally come down, she said, "God. That was amazing." as Sarah pulled up next to her, quickly removing her own bra and panties.

"Did you really expect anything else?" as she ran a finger along Miranda's side.

"No." Miranda said, as she turned to look at Sarah. As she examined the nude commander, she said, "After all, what other kind of love would a beautiful woman like yourself make?"

Sarah laughed, and said, "You're going to make me blush. Everyone knows you're the beautiful one in this relationship."

"What says that only one of us can be beautiful?" Miranda asked, gently kissing Sarah.

"I suppose you have a point." she replied, returning the kiss.

"And," Miranda whispered, "In a moment I'll repay you."

"Looking forward to it." Shepard said, gently squeezing Miranda's right breast.

A/N: Here's the next chapter. Hope you enjoyed it. 'specially the smut. I worked hard on it. Anyways, thanks for reading, and please drop a review, as well as check out my other fanfics, and my profile. It has my thoughts on some stuff. Including a comparison between the endings of the Transformers Prime series (pre Predacons Rising) and that of the Mass Effect trilogy. It will make more sense after reading it, I promise. Oh, also, keep an eye out for the next chapter, as it'll start off just a couple of minutes after this one. :-) Then, no more smut for quite a while. Just, needed to get this out of my system.
