Riza caressed the alchemy marks etched into the flesh of Roy's back. A soft whisper of touch. She listened to his even breaths in the dark, a light smile playing across her lips. She lied naked at his back, mere centimeters separating them from being skin to skin, her long blonde tresses trailing over them both, her feet entwined with his own.
I'll never leave your side, my love, Riza kissed him gentle and tender against the back of his neck, and Roy sighed in his sleep, unconsciously moving closer to her warmth.
Riza closed her eyes to join him in peaceful slumber.
They had seen hell. Had endured it. But it had been together. Always together. Then, now, and forever.
