Hey all! Sorry for the late update, I almost forgot to post it... sorry! Enjoy chapter fourteen!
Chapter Fourteen, Shock Comes in Waves.
'Wow, that sounds quite amazing.' Akashi told Kuroko after he finished talking.
'Not really, Aomine-kun did most of the work.' The blue-eyed boy said, a blush forming on his pale cheeks.
Akashi shook his head. 'While it is true that Daiki had a hand in all of it, I believe that the reason you five are such good friends is because of you, Tetsuya.'
'I don't know... do you really think that?' Kuroko asked.
The redhead nodded. 'I do. Words have a lot of power.'
The two boys sat in silence while Kuroko thought this over. The wind rustled the silent branches of the tree over their heads. Voices sounded over the hill but none of the words reached the two peaceful boys as they sat together and enjoyed each other's company.
'Maybe you're right.' Kuroko said, breaking the long silence.
Akashi put his hand on the other boy's shoulder. 'Of course I am.' He said, 'I'm always right.'
Kuroko laughed. 'Is that so?'
'Of course, don't you believe me?' Akashi asked, sliding closer to the smaller boy.
'Well, I'm sure you've been wrong once before.'
The taller boy thought for a minute before shaking his head. 'No, not at all. I'm just a picture of perfection.'
The blue-haired boy laughed, 'You are so conceited.'
'I am not! I just know my limits.' Akashi replied indignantly.
'And what are those limits, Akashi-kun?'
'Unlimited.' He replied shortly.
Kuroko stared at Akashi in wonder. 'You really are conceited, aren't you?'
The redhead laughed. 'Maybe I am, but I have reason to be.'
'Do you?'
'Yes, but if I got into all the reasons why I'd probably lose one of my only friends in all of Teiko.' He replied.
'Can I assume you were going to tell me in great detail how talented you are?' The blank-faced boy asked.
The redhead smiled a devilish smile. 'Perhaps.'
He didn't know why, but Kuroko felt his face heat up. 'Akashi-kun, you are so wierd. By the way, what do you mean I'm your only friend here. That can't be true, what about Nijimura-senpai?'
Akashi shrugged. 'I guess, but that doesn't really matter right now...'
'Yes it does, are you lonely? I'm sure if you tried, you could make friends easily...' Kuroko trailed off as Akashi leaned over and pressed his mouth against his.
Surprise flickered through Kuroko's features for a moment, but he quickly got over it as he kissed Akashi back. He felt Akashi's arm wrap lightly around his back and felt himself being pulled forward until he was almost sitting on the other boy's lap.
The words that Akashi's father would say to him if he knew what his son was doing right now floated through Akashi's head. He smiled slightly, he couldn't care less what his father said right now. He couldn't think of anything else he'd rather be doing.
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Midorima Shintaro looked up as he heard a sigh, it was the fourth time in five minutes, and he was starting to get annoyed.
'Is there something I can help you with, Kise?' The annoyed teen asked.
Kise looked up. 'Hm? Oh, sorry, was I bothering you?' He asked his bespectacled friend.
'Yes. Now, you will continue to bother me if you keep sighing. So tell me what is wrong.' Midorima said stiffly.
Kise chuckled. 'You really are such a softy Midorima-chii.'
'I am no such thing, I'm just trying to study in the library, but you're stopping me from doing just that.' The green-haired boy replied, sounding annoyed.
'Okay, sorry, I'll go.' The blonde collected his books and got ready to leave when he heard Midorima's famous tongue click.
'Is it about Aomine?'
The golden-eyed boy stared at his friend silently before nodding. 'I just wish he would... I don't know, be happier.'
'I agree. He's been very unhappy lately, hasn't he?' Midorima asked.
'Yeah, sleeping in the same room as him is becoming quite taxing.' Kise replied sadly.
Midorima nodded. 'That's unfortunate, you were very excited about sharing with him this year, correct?'
'Yeah, but in reality, it doesn't matter how much I try, as long as Kuroko-chii's here I might as well be a speck of dust.' The blonde said, twirling his hair around his finger.
'Well, I'm sure if you just stop being such a baby about it, then Aomine would be able to pull his head out of his ass.'
'You really think so?' Kise asked, walking towards the door.
The green-eyed boy collected his bag and walked after the blonde. 'Perhaps. But you have to assume that one day Aomine will realize that he has little chance left with Kuroko.'
Kise smiled weakly. 'Maybe, but it seems like for that to happen someone will grab his head and turn it towards the truth.'
'The truth?' Midorima said, sounding confused.
'That Kuroko-chii's obviously interested in someone else.' Kise replied.
'Oh yes, he does seem quite interested in Akashi, doesn't he?' Midorima said, pushing the front door open.
Kise chuckled. 'Yeah, if even you noticed, then I don't know how Aomine-chii hasn't.'
Midorima glared at the blonde boy. 'Yes well, it is quite noticeable. But I don't know what to tell you, what you said is correct. Unless we have someone prove it to him, he'll never figure it out, he's to idiotic.'
The blonde boy laughed. 'And it's not like Kuroko-chii's going to tell him, now is it?'
'No, the chance of that is slim, Kuroko has no spine. And as long as Kuroko only stays interested in Akashi, then Aomine will continue to ignore it. And Kuroko's not the type of person to admit to anyone that he has a very obvious crush on him.' Midorima said.
'Midorima-chii, I think Akashi-chii already knows.' Kise said quietly.
'What do you mean he already knows...' Midorima trailed off as he looked to where Kise was staring.
Sitting ahead of the two boys, hidden behind one of the large sakura trees was their friend Kuroko, sitting on Akashi's lap, their lips pressed together as the kissed slowly. Akashi's arm was wrapped firmly around Kuroko's back so he didn't fall off his lap, his other hand sliding slowly down the smaller boy's spine.
Midorima glanced at Kise and the two started slowly backing away, but as they started to move Akashi's eye slowly opened and landed on the retreating boys.
He pulled away from Kuroko slowly and looked up at the two, his eyes narrowing dangerously.
'Can we help you with something, boys?'
Kise shook his head rapidly. 'N-no, nothing, we were just leaving...' He smiled and grabbed Midorima's shirt. 'Right, Midorima-chii?'
Midorima cleared his throat. 'Yes, we apologize for... interrupting.. come now, Kise. We shouldn't linger.'
Akashi looked up at the boy sitting on his lap, a smile pulling at his face. 'Calm down boys, we aren't mad... Well, at least Tetsuya isn't mad...' 'He smiled a devilish smile.
Kise shuddered, he glanced down at Kuroko who gave him a small reassuring smile. 'Akashi-kun, stop being mean, they didn't do anything wrong...'
The redhead smiled and mumbled something into the smaller boy's ear, causing him to blush.
'Akashi-kun... stop...' Kuroko mumbled, smiling slightly.
Midorima glanced at Kise. 'I think we should be going, goodbye.' He said, turning towards the two smiling boys.
They both turned to leave when Kise stopped in his tracks. 'Did you hear that...?'
'Hear what...?' The green-haired boy asked skeptically.
'I think... Kuroko-chii just... giggled...' The blonde answered quietly.
Midorima smacked him on the back of the head. 'Don't lie! Kuroko doesn't giggle!'
'I'm sorry! But I swear he just did!' He yelled tearfully.
'No! If Kuroko was to giggle, then that would mean he was showing emotion to someone, and he never does that!'
Behind the two bickering boys, Akashi looked at Kuroko and smiled. 'Are they even trying to keep their voices down?' He whispered.
Kuroko shook his head. 'Kise-kun and Midorima-kun never keep their voices down.'
Akashi chuckled quietly. 'I didn't think so.' He stood up, pulling the blue-haired boy up with him. He put his finger to his lips as he crept forward.
'I'm sure that's what I heard, please stop hitting me, Midorima-chii!' The blonde yelled again.
'What is it that you think you heard, Ryouta?' Akashi hissed into the golden-eyed boy's ear.
Kise jumped. 'Eek! Akashi-chii, don't do that!' He yelled as Akashi and Kuroko both started to laugh.
'Really boys, do you could at least try to whisper when talking about someone standing right behind you?' Akashi said with a smile. He wrapped his arm around Kuroko's waist and started to pull him away.
'You two should be careful, if Aomine sees you two together he'll be very annoyed.' Midorima told them, looking directly at Kuroko.
Kuroko looked down at his feet. 'I don't care if Aomine-kun sees me, I'm allowed to...' He looked at Midoriam in the eye. 'I'm allowed to move on, even if he hasn't.'
Akashi smiled and pulled Kuroko closer. 'You know what, screw Daiki. If Tetsuya wants to be in a relationship with me, well, I'm not going to complain.' He pulled Kuroko into a kiss. 'Right?'
Kuroko nodded, looking breathless.
Kise looked at Midorima and smiled. 'I think Akashi-chii is perfect for Kuroko-chii. Don't you?'
Midorima examined Akashi for a moment, before nodding. 'Yes, I think he is.'
'Thank you, I'm glad I have your approval. But, would it bother you if I was to leave now? It's getting cold, and I have homework to do, and by the sounds of it, I have homework to help with as well.' Akashi said, smiling down at Kuroko.
Kuroko blushed and looked down. 'You don't have to...'
'Ah, but I want to, so I will. If you're going to be my first boyfriend, then you have to meet my high standards.'
'Shut up Akashi-kun.' The blue-haired boy said, smiling.
Akashi smiled and pulled Kuroko towards the door. 'Bye boys, I'll see you in class tomorrow.'
He led Kuroko through the door and out of sight.
Kise sighed. 'Well, if anyone were to stand up to Aomine-chii, I think Akashi-chii would be the best to do it.'
Midorima nodded. 'Perhaps you still have a chance with him after all.'
'Maybe...' Kise replied staring after the two boys. 'That would be nice...'
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
'Aomine? Are you coming to practice?' Sakurai Ryo asked as he peeked into the empty classroom that Aomine was hiding in.
'Eh? Why? There isn't any point, now go away.' Aomine replied, opening his eyes to look at his teammate.
Sakurai hesitated before walking in the room fully. 'What do you mean there's no point? Don't you like basketball?'
'I guess, but it's not like I can get any better, I`m already the best. I don't even know why you go to practice, as long as I'm on the team, we'll win.' He replied, closing his eyes again.
'Is something wrong? You haven't been your usual self recently.' Sakurai asked, sitting down on top of one of the desks.
'What do you mean? I'm fine. Geez, what are you, my mom?' The tanned teen sneered.
Sakurai shook his head. 'Don't start that, I know something's wrong. Is it because of Akashi Seijuro?'
Aomine's eyes opened so he could glare at the other boy. 'It has nothing to do with that brat. Don't talk to me about him.'
'So it is Akashi...' Sakurai said, before getting cut off.
'I said don't talk about him! God, what is wrong with you?! No, what is wrong with him? I don't see what makes him so special! Why is it that he's allowed to come out of nowhere and have everybody instantly love him?! What, is he some kind of God?!'
Sakurai nodded. 'I guess that would seem unfair.'
'Unfair? It just doesn't make any damn sense! How come everybody likes him so much? He fed Murasakibara and now he adores him, Midoirma became his friend after like five minutes of talking to him, and he's Midorima! He doesn't like anyone! Even Kise's calling him "Akashi-chii"! And Tetsu's all over him! I just don't get it, he's annoying, cocky and he obviously thinks he's better than all of us! It pisses off, I wish he would just...' Aomine trailed off, trying to find the right words.
'Disappear?' Sakurai suggested.
'Yeah, it would be great if he could just... disappear.' Aomine said as he calmed down. 'But that's not gonna happen...'
Sakurai stared silently at Aomine. 'Is that what you really want?'
Aomine thought about it as he stood up. 'Maybe, it would be nice if everything went back to normal.' He sighed. 'Whatever, let's go to practice.'
'So, you're coming to practice? That's great!' Sakurai stood up and followed Aomine out of the room.
'Eh, you never know, maybe something will happen and Akashi will leave.' Aomine suggested.
'Would that make you happy?' Sakurai asked, glancing up at the taller boy.
'I don't know, I just know that I don't like him.' Aomine said, a sneer pulling on his face. 'I think he really needs to learn his place.'
'Well, maybe he will.' Sakurai said quietly.
'Maybe...' Aomine replied.
As they made their way to the gym they heard laughter. Looking over they saw the very boy they were just talking about, he was walking down the hallway, hand in hand with Kuroko. Akashi whispered something to Kuroko who started to laugh harder, falling against the other boy.
'Akashi-kun...' Kuroko gasped. 'Don't say that, it's so mean!' He said, bumping Akashi with his hip.
'I don't even know what you're talking about.' Akashi chuckled. He pulled Kuroko by the waist and kissed him on the mouth, pushing him lightly against the wall.
Aomine grabbed Sakurai and pulled him back down the hall.
'What are you-' Sakurai said shocked.
Aomine clamped a hand over his mouth. 'Shh!' He hissed.
'Akashi-kun... what if someone sees...? Kuroko mumbled into Akashi's mouth.
'Do you want me to stop?' He mumbled back.
'No...'
Aomine shook his head in disgust. 'What the hell... whatever, let's go...'
Sakurai stared at Aomine a mixture of emotion was splayed over the taller boy's face. He pulled the smaller boy down the other hallway.
'I can't... I don't...' Aomine couldn't seem to find the right words to express his feelings.
Sakurai put his hand on the tanned boy's arm. 'Don't worry, it will be over soon. There's no way someone like Kuroko would stay with anyone like Akashi for very long.'
'I... whatever... maybe you're right... I hope you are.' Aomine said, sounding defeated.
'Now, let's go to pratice.' Sakurai said soothingly.
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Okay, that's all, tell me what you think! Sorry again for the late update.
