Hey Everyone, I'm sorry for not posting last week, I was away for the weekend... I hope you enjoy chapter eighteen anyways...
Chapter Eighteen, Arrival.
The first years streamed off the bus in a excited buzz. The six boys were pushed around the crowd while they helped Murasakibara find Himuro.
'Muro-chin? Muro-chin...?! Muro-chin, I'm hungry!' Murasakibara called as he picked out Himuro from the crowd.
Himuro saw Murasakibara (it wasn't very hard) and waved. 'Atsushi, I have your food!'
Murasakibara shoved the other students out of the way and hugged the other boy, he kissed him on the head and took the bag. 'Thanks, Muro-chin.'
'Okay, one problem solved, now let's go listen to our "guide" tell us the "rules" so we can leave.' Aomine said, wandering away.
They all followed him back into the sea of students. Their guide who was one of their teachers, explained the rules, Kuroko's eye wandered trough the crowd, he glanced at Mibuchi, he seemed to be scanning the crowd as if he was looking for something. His eyes fell on Kuroko, he smiled, put a finger to his temple and then pointed at the teacher, as if to say pay attention.
Kuroko turned his head back towards the teacher slightly confused. 'I wonder what he was looking for...' He mumbled. Looking around he noticed the other representatives looking around as well. Now he was confused. Was something going on?
As if reading his thoughts Akashi glanced around, ''Hm... something seems to be going on, the representatives seem... on edge. I wonder if they think something is going to happen.' He put a finger to his chin. 'I wonder...'
Kuroko jumped in surprise, he turned to Akashi, 'Can you read minds?'
Akashi laughed, 'Oh, probably, but I noticed you looking around, so I was curious. I didn't read your mind, at least not this time.'
'Well, maybe I'll ask...' Kuroko wandered away from Akashi, making his way towards Himuro.
'Himuro-senpai?'
The black-haired boy jumped. 'Yes?'
'I was wondering why all the representatives were looking around, it looks pretty suspicious.'
Himuro ran a hand through his hair, 'What do you mean? We aren't... being suspicious...'
'Senpai... don't lie to me, is it about Akashi-kun?' Kuroko asked blankly.
'You're kind of blunt, aren't you?'
'I've been told that before.' The smaller boy answered.
Sighing, Himuro ran his hand through his hair again. 'What makes you think it's because of Akashi?'
'Just a guess, you clarified it.' Kuroko stared blanky at the taller boy, ''Akashi-kun told me a few days ago that weird things have been going on with him recently.' He sighed. 'But he won't tell me what, everytime I ask him about it he changes the subject.'
'Well, I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but... it seems that someone has been, "bulling" Akashi recently.'
'Bulling?'
Himuro sighed again. 'It's just... well, a while ago Atsushi and I found some sort of writing on his locker in the gym's locker room. We couldn't read what it said, it was obviously cleaned off. And... I've been hearing a lot of weird things about him over the last few days... so, I was just keeping an eye on him, I'm sure that's what Nijimura is doing as well.'
Kuroko examined the taller boy quietly. 'Akashi-kun being bullied? I find that hard to believe.' He said after several minutes.
'Well, believe what you want, but that's what I heard.'
'Okay, thank you, senpai.' Kuroko turned and made his way back through the crowd.
Himuro watched him leave shaking his head, he mumbled. 'I really shouldn't have told him anything.'
'Tetsuya? Where did you go?' Akashi asked when he noticed Kuroko return.
'I told you, I was going to ask what was going on.' He answered.
Akashi raised an eyebrow. 'Did you anything find out?'
Kuroko shook his head, 'Not really, according to Himuro-senpai, told me they were just keeping an eye out to make sure no one sneaks off.' He told Akashi, he didn't like to lie to the other boy, but he didn't want to tell Akashi what Himuro told him.
'Really?' Akashi could see that the other boy was lying, but he didn't say anything, it wasn't really his business anyway. But he kept an eye on him for the rest of the teacher's lecture.
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
When the teacher finished explaining the rules, the students followed their representatives into the hotel, searching for their rooms.
The rooms had two double beds, so to keep the costs low they had four students in each room, most people were sharing with their roommates, after pulling some strings, Kise, Aomine, Kuroko and Akashi were all in a room together.
'How come you're staying with us and not the other two?' Akashi asked as he put his stuff down.
'Well, I asked Midorima-chii if we could stay with them, but he told me he would rather not. Besides, I think he's sharing with Takao, and some other first year who shares a room with someone in a higher year.' Said Kise.
Kuroko looked up, 'I find it very strange that no matter what happens, Takao-san is always sharing with Midorima-kun.'
Kise shrugged. 'He's really the only one who can stand Midorima-chii, I'm sure the council knows that too.'
'I guess that's true, and he shares with Kasamatsu-senpai, right?' Kuroko asked.
'Mm-hm. And since Kasamatsu-senpai is in third year, Takao has no one to share with.' Kise explained.
'Oh, so you're here instead...?' Akashi asked, glancing at Aomine and frowning.
'Of course!' The blonde exclaimed. 'I wanted to share with my friends, which I casually mentioned to my mother... now I'm here!' Kise said, smiling.
Akashi nodded. 'That makes sense.'
'Okay, whatever, let's go find the others and figure out when we're leaving.' Aomine said, tossing his bag on one of the beds and exiting the room.
Kuroko looked at the two boys. 'I guess we should go as well.'
They agreed and left the room, going down the hall to where Midorima and Murasakibara were staying.
'Mine-chin... where is everyone else?' They heard Murasakibara asking as they entered the room.
'Who cares?' He replied.
The tall boy opened his mouth to answer when he saw the other three walk through the door.
'Oh, hi guys... here you go...' He handed them a piece of paper. 'It's the schedule... they want us to like... tour around museums and stuff... then we'll be going around town... and looking at the shops...'
Midorima put his hand up. 'Stop, it's painful to listen to you drawl. The point is we're expected to be in the hotel around ten.'
Aomine nodded. 'So we'll leave around ten-thirty?'
'Maybe, but perhaps we should wait untill later...? We don't want to get caught.' Kise added.
'That's true, but we also don't want to wait until nothing's open anymore.' Aomine replied.
'Hm, I wouldn't worry too much about it, we say ten but we think we'll be back just after nine.' A voice said from the doorway.
'Muro-chin? What are you doing here?' Murasakibara asked, staring at the newcomer.
Himuro crossed the room to where Murasakibara was standing, 'I just came to see how you were doing.' He pecked him on the cheek and smiled.
'I think we should give it about a half an hour after we get back and then leave. Himuro can keep the other reps busy for us.' Aomine decided.
'I don't know... it would look kinda bad if I did that...' Himuro said, rubbing the back of his neck.
'Please, Muro-chin...?' Murasakibara asked, giving Himuro his best puppy dog eyes.
He looked up at the taller boy and sighed. 'Okay, if you really want me too.'
'Thanks Muro-chin.' He kissed him on the top of his head and grinned at Aomine.
Aomine gave him a thumbs up and winked.
'Are you excited, Tetsuya?' Akashi asked, glancing down at the silent boy
Kuroko smiled. 'Yes, I'm sure it will be a lot of fun...' He told Akashi, trying to keep what Himuro told him out of his mind.
Akashi squeezed his hand. 'I'm glad. I hope we can have fun together.'
'Me too.' Kuroko said, mentally deciding to keep an eye on Akashi for the rest of the trip.
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
'Ooh, I'm so excited! Aren't you, Riko?' Momoi asked the second year representative.
'Hm? Yes, very excited, tell me, why are you in my room?' She asked, tilting her haid slightly.
'Because, my roommate is stuffy... and I missed you...' Momoi said, pouting.
Riko shook her head. 'You're lying. you get along with everybody, and I know you don't miss me.'
Momoi smiled. 'Okay, you caught me. I just wanted to know if you would help me sneak out later?'
'Satsuki...' Riko sighed. 'You know I can't do that...'
The pink-haired girl stuck out her bottom lip. 'Please...?'
'No.'
'Oh come on! You're mean...' She whined loudly.
'Stop! Oh my god, you're loud.' Riko snapped annoyed.
Momoi opened her mouth to reply when the two girls heard a sound outside the door. She put a finger to her lips and opened the door a crack.
'I'm sorry!' Sakurai was saying, in a deep bow.
They heard another person sigh, Momoi glanced at Riko who nodded and opened the door, a little more. Riko scowled when she saw Mibuchi Reo.
'Listen, I don't care what the reason, I don't want you wandering around the halls, for one thing, it's creepy, another thing, it's against the rules for you to go off on your own. Have some common sense.' Mibuchi replied, crossing his arms over his chest in distaste.
'I'm sorry! I was just looking for Aomine...' Sakurai said bowing again.
'I don't care, if I catch you out of bed again, it will be detention.'
'Yes sir!' The smaller boy straightened up and scurried back down the hall.
Mibuchi sighed and rubbed his temple. 'Idiot.' He mumbled.
'He's really weird, that Sakurai kid.' Momoi said, closing the door.
'Mm, he is. I agree.'
'But, Dai-chan's room is the other way... I wonder why he was going this way at all.'
Riko shook her head, 'I don't know...'
Momoi watched the older girl quietly. She could tell the she was hiding something from her.
'Um, is something wrong, Riko?'
'I think I will help you sneak out.' She said abruptly.
'Wait, why?'
The caramel-haired girl shot her a glare. 'Don't ask dumb questions!'
'Okay...' Momoi said, slightly curious.
'But, I want you to find the Kuroko-kun and his friends when you do.'
Momoi raised an eyebrow, 'Why?'
'I said don't ask stupid questions!'
'Okay! I'll find them!'
Riko smiled, 'Good, now it's time to go.'
'Go where?' Momoi asked as Riko steered her out of the room.
'I don't care, just out of my room.' She pushed her out and closed the door.
Momoi stared silently at the closed door. 'What was that all about?' She mumbled.
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
After everyone was settled, it was time to go, the students followed their representatives out of the hotel, they broke up into groups and set out to different locations.
'Ooh, I'm so excited...!' Kise said, visibly shaking with excitement.
Aomine glanced at him. 'Why are you so excited now? The fun doesn't start 'till later.'
'I know, I know, but it's so exciting!'
'Just be quiet. I don't want to get in trouble before we even deserve it.' Midorima said, rubbing his already sore temples.
'Sorry...' He mumbled sadly.
'It's okay, Kise-kun. We're all excited.' Kuroko told the blonde.
Akashi looked up at him. 'Besides, maybe they'll just think that you're excited about this tour we're going on.'
Kise smiled. 'Yeah! Thanks, Akashi-chii, thanks, Kuroko-chii!'
'Oh, yeah, I'm sure that the reps really believe Kise wants to see the museum, really, really bad.' Aomine said, smirking at Kise.
The blonde flushed and pushed Aomine slightly. 'You're so mean...'
'Hm...' Akashi watched the two push each other around for a minute before leaning towards his partner. 'Does Daiki realize that Ryouta has a huge crush on him?'
Kuroko looked up at Akashi, he shook his head, 'Not at all.' he answered scowling at Aomine.
'Why doesn't that surprise me?'
'Perhaps because you've met Aomine-kun...?'
'Oh, that must be it.' He smiled and squeezed Kuroko's hand.
'Dai-chan~! Tetsu-kun~!' A voice called loudly.
Aomine sighed and turned towards Momoi. 'What do you want Satsuki?'
Momoi stopped, placing her hands on her hips she glared at the taller boy. 'Excuse me? Don't talk to me like that Dai-chan, or I'll smack you!'
'Whatever.' He replied.
'Hmph! That's not very nice!'
'Sorry, Momoi-san, you'll have to ignore Aomine-kun, he's grumpy today.' Kuroko said, putting a hand on Aomine's arm.
'I'm not grumpy, she's just annoying.' The tanned teen mumbled under his breath.
Kuroko stomped on the taller boy's foot. 'Be quiet.'
Momoi giggled. 'Thanks, Tetsu-kun. Anyways... we're in the same group, so I thought it would be a great idea for us to hang out!'
'Don't you have any friends?' Aomine asked.
'Of course I do! I just thought it would be a good idea, you jerk!'
'I don't see any reason why Satsuki shouldn't be allowed to walk with us.' Akashi reasoned.
'Exactly! So shut up Dai-chan, and let me come with you!' Momoi said gleefully.
'Whatever, I don't care, just stop being so loud.' Aomine said, shooting a glare at Akashi who smirked and looked the other way.
'Are you seven listening?!' Imayoshi called through the crowd.
Said seven looked up and realized that they had a tour guide who was explaining the exibit they were walking through.
Kise, Kuroko, and Momoi bowed. 'Sorry!' They all cried, reaching up and pulling the other four boys down with them.
'Sorry...' The rest of them mumbled.
'If you're so sorry, pay more attention!' Himuro called out, shaking his head.
Akashi glanced at Kuroko and smirked. Kuroko felt his face heat up as he smiled back, he was glad Akashi was having fun.
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Eyes watched as Kuroko and Akashi joked around during the tour, anger flashed through them.
'He's so disgusting.' A voice sneered in the head of the follower. 'Don't you just wish he would disappear. Than he could stop getting in the way of everything...'
'Well... he's not really in the way...' The person replied.
'But he is, all he's doing is throwing himself all over that boy, he has no shame.'
'Well, I guess... he is kind of annoying...'
'Exactly. Just think, if he were to "disappear" than everything could could back to the way it;s supposed to be, no more of this constant talk about, "Akashi Seijuro." You'd be free.'
'That's true... it is really annoying, why is it that everyone thinks they need to talk about him...? It pisses me off!'
'It would all stop if you got rid of him... than he would only have you again...'
'Get rid of him...'
'It would be easy. Just do as I say...'
'Just do as you say?'
'Exactly.'
'Okay...'
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
'Ooh! I'm so excited! Let's go to the beach!' Kise exclaimed once they made it back to their rooms.
Akashi shook his head. 'It's dangerous to go swimming at night.'
Kise stuck out his bottom lip. 'We don't have to swim, just look! I hear it's beautiful this time of year!'
'Now, where have I heard that before?' Akashi thought to himself, 'I'm not to sure...' he said out loud.
'Oh, well if Akashi's too scared...' Aomine snickered. 'I guess we can go somewhere safe.'
Anger flashed through Akashi's eyes. 'I am not "too scared." It's just not a very good idea.'
'It's okay, Akashi-kun, we don't have to go, if you don't want to.' Kuroko said, obviously trying to make him fell better, if anything, he made him feel worse.
'No, Tetsuya. It's fine, if you guys want to go to the beach, I'll come.'
Kise smiled and threw his arms around the redheaded boy. 'Yay! I'm so excited! Let's go now!'
Akashi pushed Kise off with effort. 'Now?'
Midorima nodded. 'Now's the best time, the reps are all in their rooms and we only have so much time.'
'Well, let's stop talking about it and go.' Aomine said getting to his feet.
They all left, creeping quietly through the halls, when they finally made it outside Akashi was shocked, he honestly couldn't fathom how they weren't caught, with Kise and Murasakibara with them.
Every few minutes Kise would either trip or make some annoying noise. Meanwhile Murasakibara was busy whining under his breath the whole time.
'Okay, that could have been better. But at least we didn't get caught.' Aomine said, running his hand through his hair.
'Whatever! Let's just go.' Kise said running ahead.
Kuroko sighed. 'He's way too excited.'
Akashi nodded as he followed the other boys.
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Momoi rolled over and pulled the pillow over her face as she heard some sort of commotion outside. Grumbling she got up and peaked out the window.
She watched the dark shape of someone with blonde hair run off, followed closely by a group of five.
'Eek! I totally forgot that I was supposed to follow them! How did I fall asleep?!' She exclaimed as she quickly pulled her coat on and laced up her boots.
Leaving the room as silently as she could she cursed. 'Riko's going to kill me...' She mumbled, creeping quickly down the hall.
Just as she was about to hurry down the stairs she heard voices. Panicking now she hurried down the opposite hallway.
'Imayoshi, can we go to bed now? You can't honestly tell me you care this much.' Himuro was saying as they came up the stairs.
'I don't really. I just enjoy scaring the first years. If I have to be here I may as well have fun.' Imayoshi replied. 'Besides, I'm sure I heard some come scurrying this way just a moment ago.'
Himuro sighed. 'Oh, I'm sure you did. Just admit it, you're just an ass.' He said as they turned down the hall across from Momoi.
She sighed and raced down the stairs. 'My God, Imayoshi is such a jerk. I hope it wasn't me he heard... but I only just got here. It couldn't have been Tetsu-kun, he's with a whole bunch of people, he's not by himself. Oh well, I'm sure it was just another first year sneaking out.' She shook her head, trying to clear it.
She ran out the doors and followed the direction she hoped the boys had gone.
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
It really was beautiful, was the first thing that came to Akashi's mind as he stared at the ocean.
The other boys were running through tha sand playing some sort of "man" game that Akashi had no interest in.
'Akashi-kun...' Kuroko called as he ran over panting.
'Yes?' He replied, smiling at the tired boy.
'Are you going to play?' He asked wiping his face with his shirt.
The redhead thought for a moment before answering. 'I guess I can...' He was cut off as his phone started to ring. Pulling it out of his pocket he almost dropped when he saw the number.
He looked up at the blue-haired boy. 'Sorry, Tetsuya. I have to take this, it's my father.'
Kuroko nodded.
Akashi put the phone to his ear and wondered off. 'Hello?'
'Seijuro.' The voice was clipped and firm.
'Is there something I can help you with, father?' Akashi answered in his own clipped voice that he was trained to use when speaking to his father.
'I've been told that you seem to be having problems at your "school" They tell me someone's harassing you.' It wasn't a question, it was a statement. Akashi knew he couldn't lie.
The redhead cleared his throat. 'It's nothing that I can't deal with, father. Just foolish teenage angst.'
'If it is just "foolish teenage angst" as you put it, how come I'm getting calls about it?' He asked, his voice stern.
Akashi wiped the sweat off his forehead. 'I'm sorry, father, I didn't realize that the Headmistress called you, I assure you, I will deal with it. I haven't had any issue with anyone recently. As you know, I don't interact with people beneath me anyways. It's probably just someone from an important family that's jealous of our- your success, father.' He waited, holding his breath.
'That most likely is the case.' He said, spreading relief through Akashi body.
'Thank you-' Akashi started.
'Seijuro.' He said cutting his son off. 'I don't want to hear about this again. If I get anymore calls I'm pulling you out, I'm much too busy to deal with your foolish games.'
Akashi stared silently at the ground, he could hear his blood pounding in his ears. 'Yes, father.' He finally replied.
He heard the phone die on the other end and sighed. 'How did they know? And why did they tell him?' He mumbled, kicking the ground only to discover he was no longer standing on sand. He was standing on the dock over looking the ocean.
'Shit, I strayed quite far. I should probably head back before Tetsuya gets worried... I'll call him.' He started to dial.
As he turned to leave, he saw someone standing in front of him, before he got a good look the figure reached out and shoved him right in the water. 'You're just in the way...' He heard a familiar voice say as he fell.
He hit the water hard, his head hitting a rock on his way down, stars dancing in his eyes he tried swimming up, panic spread through his body as he felt hands push him back under.
The energy seeped out of him as he tried in vain to pull the hands off of him.
His vision started to go dark as his hands fell away from his attacker. He didn't even notice when the hands pulled away.
He stayed under the water, unmoving.
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Well, there you go, sorry for the late post, I wish I was more organized... I hope liked it all the same...
I feel bad for ending on a cliffhanger. Tell me what you think though. I'll see you next week! (Hopefully.)
