I AM SO SORRY I HAVENT UPDATED IN FOREVER! school is really kicking my butt and I've been so focused on my grades and other stuff that I haven't had time to work on this story. I am so terribly sorry! Here it is. I hope it was worth the wait...

I probably had about a heartbeat of sleep before, Bearclaw, woke me up. "Get up! Your gonna be late to your lesson today!" He hissed.

"But I'm tired!" I moaned.

"Why are you tired?"

"I didn't get any sleep," I mumbled.

"And why not?" He sounded like mom.

"I couldn't sleep."

He narrowed his eyes at me before nodding and turned his back. "Go eat something then head to the courthouse."

I sat up in my nest and stretched. All my muscles ached from running last night and my eyes were dreary with sleep. I was going to be sleep-walking all day. I wobbled towards the center of camp to get a mouse or something when, Moonstar, came up to me.

"Where have you been?! Your late!"

"I couldn't sleep last night so I'm tired," I mumbled.

"Come on. Your lesson is important." She grabbed my scruff and carried me towards the courthouse.

All the lawyers were walking around or talking with other lawyers. "Moonstar!" A lawyer screeched before running towards us.

"What is it, Ivypelt?" Moonstar asked after setting me down.

"An emergency. It's important," the she cat said.

"What about? I have a kit to teach."

"The Warclan patrol caught some cats on the border. They smell of Truthclan and of other clans. They may be part of the rebellion," Ivypelt explained.

Moonstar looked down at me then at Ivypelt. "Have, Shadowcloud, start an interrogation and I'll be there soon. Let me get a lesson done with her."

Ivypelt nodded before turning and running away. "Who's Shadowcloud?" I asked; standing up to walk to Moonstar's den.

"My deputy," she sighed. We walked to her den and sat down. "Your lesson today is a review for your halfway test coming up. Now let's start off with something easy. What is Truthclan's motto?"

"Stay true to the truth."

Many many many many many many more questions later, we were finished. Moonstar said, "Alright. Tomorrow when you arrive I will have one of my lawyers test you over everything you have learned."

I nodded then left. I walked back to Bearclaw's den, completely forgetting I was hungry, so that I could get some more rest. I was about to walk in when I heard a voice coming from Bearclaw's den. "...mustn't forget your promise," a voice said.

Bearclaw's hiss sounded annoyed, "I've told you before that I keep my promises."

"Good. Don't forget. I must go." I scrambled towards the side of the den so the cat wouldn't see me. I peered around the corner and saw a gray Tom with black paws, tail, and muzzle. I just caught a glimpse of his amber eyes. He looked familiar.

I waited until he rounded the corner before walking into the den. I acted like I was extremely tired and hadn't heard anything. "Hey, Bearclaw," I mumbled.

"Hey, Copperkit. You look really tired," he was acting like nothing had happened. "Why don't you go take a nap."

"Plan on it." I curled up in my nest and closed my eyes. My heart was ramming in my chest and I didn't know why. Why in the name of Starclan did that cat come here? What was the promise Bearclaw made? More importantly why did that tom look so familiar?

Then it dawned on me. The tom was Nightowl! Speedkit's father!

I managed to get some sleep after the realization. I emphasize some. I barely got a blink of sleep before Lionspirit was prodding me awake. "Come on. Specklestar wanted to speak with you. Let's go," He whispered. I got up and followed him. I felt like I had been drenched in water and frozen over. I was numb and heavy.

"For Starclan's sake," Lionspirit hissed. He grabbed my scruff and carried me towards the camp entrance. I didn't bother fighting. I was too tired. I closed my eyes and decided on some more sleep.

Upon arriving to the gathering place I was dropped roughly onto the cold dirt floor. "Come on kit. We need to hurry." I got up and followed Lionspirit into the dark and mysterious hole.

My frame hardly filled up the tunnel but through the very little light I could see Lionspirit's gold pelt and see he was wall to wall. The tunnel tonight seemed longer and darker. I guess the new moon has this effect.

"Were here," Lionspirit alerted me. I had already known from the increasingly strong scent of more cats. The cave was more filled than when I first arrived here. The groups were clustered together even tighter and the murmur was louder. The small light coming from Silverpelt illuminated the dark space just slightly.

Lionspririt waved his tail in my face saying, "wake up. Specklestar wants to know your here."

I looked up at him and his amber eyes were glowing. He led me away from the tunnel and towards the center of the cave right under the gaping hole. Specklestar was talking to the three cats from the night before. "Is this the kit?" The cat who I remember was called, Cougarfang asked.

"Yes. This is, Copperkit," Lionspirit replied.

"Good. Copperkit we have something important to tell you," the cat named, Thunderstrike, said.

They told me everything I already knew. I sat there acting as if everything were knew. "Do you accept it, Copperkit?" Specklestar asked.

I nodded vigorously. They laughed a little. "Begin the meeting Specklestar," Shadowfur said.

Specklestar nodded and leaped onto a large rock that stood in the middle of the chamber. "Rebelclan! Silence!" No more than a heartbeat later all chatter in the chamber ceased.

"Rebelclan! I have major news that will please all of you," Specklestar began, "as many of you know the members of the council from each clan an I have been having meetings to talk about what we shall do to destroy the system. Well I'm pleased to announce that we have found a way and will begin with the rebellion!"

The cats cheered and celebrated at the news. "Rebelclan!" Specklestar yowled. This time it took longer for the noise to die down. Specklestar waited patiently for everyone to become quiet before continuing. "We are going to use something so innocent and dangerous that it could result in many deaths. As members of Rebelclan we have all taken the solemn oath to protect each other and defend our beliefs even at the cost of our lives. Well now it's time to live up to them!"

All the cats surrounding us were staring at Specklestar with awe. She really was a great leader. "I will discuss with the other leaders of the clans who fight with us about our plan but I will tell you all now.

"Before stands a kit. A brave kit might I add. She has been chosen by us to start uneasiness in the clans and begin the rebellion. Yes. I know. This is a kit and we are putting her life at stake. But this kit has accepted our offer and tonight under the new moon she will take the oath of Rebelclan in the presence of her Starclan ancestors!"

The cats roared and I felt Specklestar land beside me. This was getting intense. "Copperkit, do you promise to fight with us to bring back a world long lost? To protect with your fellow brother and sisters even at the cost of your own life?"

All eyes were on me. I felt them bore into my back. I felt my ears heat up but I stood my ground and loudly said, "I do."

"Then welcome to Rebelclan, Copperkit. You will lead us to a new destiny."

"Copperkit! Copperkit! Copperkit!" The Rebelclan members roared. I puffed out my chest and looked around. I found Woodpaw. He was looking straight at me. His eyes were humorless. I looked away. Don't let him get to you, Copperkit. He's just upset.

Once the roar died down the cats began to share tongues, chatter, or leave. I slipped past Specklestar and walked over to Woodpaw. "Hey." He nodded his head in response. "What's wrong?" His gaze turned cold and he narrowed his eyes.

"I wouldn't expect a kit to know." He tried to walk away but I ran in front of him.

"What did I do to you?" I asked. I tried to put all my annoyance and frustration in my eyes. He met my gaze steadily.

"You walked into here like it was nothing. That you would get in if it killed you. Your a spoiled kit."

That hurt. More than a thorn going into my pad. He started walking away but I stopped him again. "I wanted in here but I wasn't going to die to get in or kill to get in, and I'm not spoiled!"

He snarled, "you are! Go home to your little kit friends and go to sleep!" He shoved me aside and walked past.

"For the last time I don't have any friends! I thought maybe you were!" I shouted. He stopped. He turned his head slightly and his green eyes looked darker now.

"Well I'm not. I don't make kit friends. Especially spoiled kits," he stated before walking away. I started to cry. No Copperkit! Not in front of everyone! I walked back to Lionspirit and nudged him as if I were tired.

"Lionspirit can we go?" He looked down at me and nodded.

"Yes. Specklestar, I will take my leave."

"Be safe." She said.

Laying in my nest now felt like laying in a cloud. I had never realized how wonderfully soft my nest was. Bearclaw was snoring away in his nest; his twitching funny to watch. I closed my eyes for the eightieth time but they popped open again. The sky was beginning to turn to a milky gray.

Well I guess it's time to start another day.
