Sorry this has taken a little while, it would seem weddings take a bit of writing! It will probably take three chapters. Hope you enjoy. Please review to let me know your thoughts :-)

Jac and Jonny had retreated to the staff room on AAU to free up the bed Jonny didn't really need. The sat cuddled up together on a sofa as they waited for Mo and Sacha to arrive and the wedding chaos to begin.

'I can't believe in a couple of hours I will be able to call you my wife' Jonny mused as he entwined the fingers of his uninjured hand with Jac's.

'I wish we'd done it sooner now' Jac confessed.

'Did I just hear that right?' Jonny laughed.

'I thought it wouldn't change anything but your phone call this morning…'

'We do not discuss the things said in this mornings phone call for fear of emotional breakdown' Jonny interrupted Jac half-jokingly 'that's the reason why I had to say those things over the phone because there is no way I'd be able to say them coherently with your beautiful eyes on me.'

'Well I'm glad you said them because I suddenly realised how proud I will be to be able to say this man' Jac brought Jonny's hand up to her lips and kissed it 'this kind, caring, heroic man is my husband.'

'You know I save one of your patients and suddenly I'm heroic' Jonny joked but Jac could hear the emotion in his voice.

'I think you're more heroic for putting up with my moods' she joked back.

'Believe me you're worth it' Jonny kissed the top of Jac's head.

'Right I think it's time we spilt you two up before you curse this day anymore' Mo announced as she burst into the room.

'Maureen you know full well neither of us believe in any of this superstitious nonsense' Jac rolled her eyes.

'Today I do not care about your beliefs Jac Naylor, all I care about is getting both your arses into that chapel and joined in matrimony. Am I making myself clear?' Mo gave the couple a scarily fierce look.

'Bloody hell' Jac sounded impressed 'perhaps we will make a consultant out of you yet.'

'Less talking more moving' Mo glared at the couple still snuggled up together on the sofa. 'Jonny you are coming with me to get ready up on Darwin. Jac you're to stay down here, apparently Sacha has a plan.'

'I better do as she says' Jonny laughed at Jac. He lent forward to give her one last kiss.

'No kissing!' Mo exclaimed 'you can kiss her as much as you like after the vows.' She grabbed hold of Jonny's good arm and pulled him to his feet, much to Jac's annoyance. 'Phew, you need a shower' Mo wrinkled her nose as she caught a whiff of Jonny's heroic scent. 'How could you bear to cuddle up to him?' she asked Jac.

'That's love for you' Jac shrugged. 'I was breathing through my mouth.'

'Right no one panic, we've got just under three hours to get the bride and groom nuptial ready.' Sacha beamed as he entered the room leaden down with boxes, dress bags and Jac's overnight bag.

'Precisely what I've been trying to get across to these two nitwits.' Mo muttered to him as she dragged Jonny out of the room.

'She's so sexy when she's being all authoritative' Sacha mused as he watched Mo's retreating back.

'I'm sorry did you think I was someone else?' Jac asked with a disgusted look on her face.

'Sorry!' Sacha grinned guilty. 'Right Jasmine and Ava have gone with Yuliana to get the flowers from the florist and Granddad George has taken the suits up to Darwin ready for Jonny and himself. Meanwhile you are to get yourself showered and your hair and make up done.'

'Hello Mr Levy, Mr Spence said you had a special project for me' Chantelle enthusiastically appeared in the AAU staffroom.

'I did not use the word project' Sacha laughed 'but we do need your help to turn the beautiful Ms Naylor over here into a bride.'

'Really?' Chantelle beamed whilst Jac scowled.

'Yes, now I have strict instructions from the wonderful Yuliana who you will soon meet' Sacha beamed back ignoring Jac's grumpy expression. 'Now to the locker room, my red headed friend' he gestured Jac out of the door towards the shower.

'Auntie Jac!' Ava greeted her aunt with her usual level of enthusiasm as Jac walked back into the staffroom showered and wrapped firmly in a hospital dressing gown Chantelle had found for her.

'Hey pumpkin' Jac scooped the little girl up into her arms and gave the first smile Sacha had seen since he and Mo had started issuing orders. Jasmine was sat having her hair expertly curled by Chantelle and Sacha was comfortably sat drinking a cup of tea.

'Oh my darling' Yuliana greeted Jac 'even with wet hair and dressed in an ugly robe you still look more beautiful than most. Now take a seat here' Yuliana pulled out a chair for Jac 'and let myself and the wonderful Chantelle take care of everything.' Jac set Ava down on the floor and did as she was told. 'This morning must have been so very stressful for you' Yuliana continued to chatter as she combed through Jac's wet hair 'that is why I am here. I said to Sacha, you will need a woman who knows what she is doing to turn the day into the smoothest of smooth' Yuliana turned on the hair dryer. Out of the corner of her eye Jac could see Sacha and Jasmine grinning broadly both knowing Jac would be hating the fuss and attention.

'There' Yuliana smiled as she finally turned off the hair dryer and brushed through Jac's now dry hair. 'You know Chantelle? I think a few lose curls would look just lovely on Jac also'. Yuliana smiled at Jac as she took the curling wand Chantelle handed her. 'Do you know you and Jasmine are lucky you have a sweet little girl like Ava. I always wanted a little girl but instead I had four boisterous boys.'

'You have four children?' Jac sounded surprised.

'I know darling' Yuliana laughed 'my petite frame does not show it but I have four grown up boys who have so far provided me with six handsome grandsons' Yuliana smiled as she curled Jac's hair. 'I love my boys dearly but they are not ones for beautiful things and being pretty. So I indulge myself with my weddings.'

'Isn't your youngest expecting again?' Sacha spoke from his position on the sofa where he was entertaining Ava with fuzzy felts.

'Oh darling I believe the baby will also be a boy' Yuliana laughed as she positioned the tiara carefully into Jac's freshly curled hair 'I can always tell.'

'Well you can borrow Ava any time you want some girly time' Jasmine laughed.

'Oh sorry, we didn't realise this had become wedding HQ' Gemma apologised as she walked into the staff room with Mary Claire.

'Don't be silly, you can still take your break in here provided you don't mind all the hair and make-up stuff' Sacha laughed.

Gemma looked uncertainly at Jac, not sure if the consultant would appreciate her wedding preparations being shared with the whole of AAU. 'Oh sit down' Jac grumbled good naturedly 'I think every man and his aunt has been involved in the this wedding in some manor, you might as well join in whilst you eat your sandwiches.'

The two woman settled themselves at a table in the corner as Serena Campbell strode into the room. 'I can't believe Ric has let you take over AAU as wedding central' she laughed as she put on the kettle.

'It wasn't my idea' Jac spoke as Yuliana now moved onto her make up after declaring her hair as perfect.

'Should Jasmine get dressed now?' Chantelle asked Yuliana having finished pampering the bridesmaid. 'I can help her but then I best get back to the ward. Mr Spence will be wondering where I am'.

'Yes Yuliana nodded 'and Sacha should probably get into his suit now too.' Chantelle, Jasmine and Sacha left the room to do as they were told.

'Hello Ava' Serena smiled at the little girl as she took Sacha's vacated seat. 'Are you looking forward to being a flower girl today?'

'Yes' Ava nodded.

'look who I've just found wondering the halls' Ric Griffin smiled as he showed Granddad George into the room.

'Granddad!' Jac smiled 'I was wondering where you'd got to.'

'Sorry I had to help Jonny out rather more than I was expecting, he seems to have hurt himself more than he is willing to admit this morning' the old man chuckled as he took a seat opposite a now fully made over, but still very natural, Jac.

'Is he ok?' A look of concern filled Jac's face.

'He's fine' George chuckled 'I just think the adrenaline has worn off and now he's feeling every bruise. Mo is sorting him out with the pain relief he originally said he didn't need.' He smiled proudly at his granddaughter 'I have something for you' he spoke as he reached into the inside pocket of his suit jacket. He pulled out a long thin jewellery box and opened it to reveal a single pearl drop pendent on a fine gold chain. 'This belonged to your grandmother' he explained 'she would have wanted you to wear it on your wedding day so I thought it could be your something old.' He smiled at Jac's slightly shocked expression 'perhaps when Ava gets married many years from now she will wear it too.'

'I…thank you…its beautiful' Jac stuttered.

'Almost as beautiful as my Granddaughters but not quite' George laughed softly as Yuliana took the necklace out of the box and fastened it around Jac's neck.

'Oh this whole day is like watching a romantic movie' Mary Claire sniffed loudly from her position in the corner of the room as she dapped at her eyes with a tissue.

'what's your something borrowed, something new and something blue Ms Naylor?' Gemma asked covering over Mary Claire's emotional outburst.

'I don't know. I haven't really thought about it' Jac shrugged as the women in the room all gasped.

'Jac you can't get married without something old, something new, something borrowed and something new' Serena laughed, 'it would be unlucky.'

'Her dress will be the something new' Yuliana spoke quickly as she thought on her feet 'the necklace is the something old and as it belonged to a relative we can say it is borrowed also.'

'What about the something blue?' Gemma asked.

'I've got it!' Mary Claire exclaimed as she jumped up and raced out of the room to the locker room. She returned seconds later with a small vial of navy blue nail polish clutched in her hand 'we'll paint her toenails'

'I don't think so' Jac started to protest as Jasmine came bursting into the room looking resplendent in her bridesmaids dress.

'Mary Claire just told us. I can't believe we forgot about something old, something new, something borrowed and something new' Jasmine had such a concerned look on her face that Jac and Granddad couldn't help themselves as they burst into uncontrollable giggles.

'What's so funny?' Jasmine asked as she crossed her arms across her chest.

'sorry it just my day keeps getting increasingly ridiculous' Jac regained control of herself 'I can't believe my fiancé nearly gets himself killed this morning and yet your biggest concern is that I won't have something blue.'

'It's very important tradition' Jasmine looked at her sister crossly.

'Would it make you feel better if I had my toe nails painted a ghastly shade of blue?' Jac asked her. Jasmine nodded her head. 'Well sit down and conserve energy then' Jac laughed 'we'll do it your way.'

'Now darling you can turn around and look at yourself in the mirror' Yuliana smiled at Jac. It was just the two women in the locker room getting Jac dressed into her gown. Jac turned around slowly and considered her reflection.

'You like it?' Yuliana asked cautiously.

'Yes actually, I do' Jac smiled a little bit surprised that she could look like a bride and still look like herself. 'Thank you' she smiled at Yuliana.

'Oh darling it has been my pleasure' Yuliana squeezed Jac's hand.

There was a light knock on the door and Sachas voice called out 'are you decent?'

'Yes come in' Jac called out to her friend. Sacha walked in and grinned broadly at Jac's appearance.

'Wow! You look beautiful' he smiled 'come on' he offered Jac his arm 'I can't wait to see Granddad George's face when he sees you.'

Jac slipped her arm into Sacha's and then impulsively said 'I love you Sacha Levy, you are the best friend a girl could ask for.' She stood on her tiptoes and gently kissed Sacha's cheek.

'Now stop it because you'll make cry' Sacha laughed shakily as he willed himself not to break down into tears. They walked across the hall to the staffroom, still occupied by Gemma, Serena, Jasmine, Granddad and Ava.

There was a moment of stunned silence before Gemma gasped 'Oh Ms Naylor, you look lovely'.

'Will I do?' Jac asked her Grandfather who was still stood with his mouth slightly agape.

'Yes' he chuckled 'you look beautiful'

'Right bouquets' Sacha commanded as he opened the fridge to fetch the florist box. He opened the box and handed Jac a beautiful arrangement of cream and dusky pink roses.

'So this is where my F2 is taking an extended break' Ric Griffin appeared in the doorway with an un-amused look on his face.

'Don't be such a grump Ric she's been helping out getting Ava ready' Serena chuckled as Ric's face displayed surprise as he registered Jac Naylor stood in his staff room in her wedding dress.

'My goodness' he smiled 'I feel like my registrar has grown up' he could feel emotion starting to build in his throat.

'You were Mr Griffin's registrar?' Gemma asked Jac, who nodded in response.

'Come on Dr Wilde, time to get back to work' Serena smiled at Ric 'Mr Griffin and I have a wedding to get to.' She walked towards the door with Gemma following close behind her 'that's if Mr Griffin gets a grip on himself' she muttered as she shoved him out of the room.

'Shall we make our way up to the chapel?' Granddad asked Jac.

'I think its time' she smiled back at him.

'Are you nervous?' Jasmine asked.

Jac shook her head 'It feels right.' Ava slipped her hand into her aunties hand. Jac looked down at her little girl dressed in her dusky pink frock and smiled 'what about you Pumpkin? Are you ready to be a flower girl?' Ava grinned as she nodded.
