Sorry, I had a whole 4 chapters written then my laptop shut down and I couldn't retrieve it because I hadn't saved it. DX And Iʼve been having... Erm... Issues with being a fan girl and had a very heated argument with a stranger because they hated my ship and I hated theirs.
So, I realise the plot seems shaky and crap, but I need to build a bit more before I start getting to the heart of the story. Anyway my dear darlings, here is the chapter I promised a while ago!
WARNING! CONTAINS RAPE! When you see the AN, the scene starts and if you don't want to read then skip it.
-Gajeel-
I scowl and touch my throat unconsciously. It started this morning, a raw ache that seared my throat every few minutes, followed by the taste of blood. My stomach also, had decided that today it was going to kill itself and convulsed and alternated with the pain in my throat. And Choc-Mint Ice cream, something I hated, I suddenly craved. Dimly I wondered if this was what it was like to have a period.
"Gajeel, the beds have arrived." Lilyʼs voice wafts through the lounge room, and I automatically get up to help. It seems strange, that in the middle of everything thatʼs happened this week, the beds we ordered still came, Rogue still cooks and I still think about Levy. Laxus and I grab the end of one and Lily and Sting lift the other. We maneuver through the house and enter the bedroom. Lucyʼs eyes follow us as we decide where each bed should go and when we do, I drop my end unceremoniously in place. The four of us traipse back to the front door, where the mattresses were waiting. Rather than picking them up, Lily and I drag them to the bedroom and make them silently. Lucyʼs eyes watch our every moment and she seems to be calculating something. Wendy sidles into the room quietly and hands Lucy a tray, weighed down with peas, carrot, corn, meat, potato, juice and cranberry sauce. Lucy murmurs a word of thanks and slowly chews her food. I sneak looks at her from the corner of my eye then I realise what's wrong with the picture.
"Where'd Natsu go?" I ask her casually. Natsu hadn't left her side the whole time she was unconscious.
She chews her food solemnly, then after a while she swallows. "He left." She picks up her juice and takes a delicate sip.
"How come?" I pick up a few stray pieces of wood that must've escaped Lilyʼs notice while he was cleaning up.
"He left after he kissed me." She says, the picture of nonchalance. I drop the pillow and a strange gargling sound comes from the back of Lilyʼs throat. "He what?"
"Kissed me." She says, enunciating each word carefully, but her voice void of emotion.
"When?"
"A few weeks ago, last week, just now."
"More than once?" The thought seems impossible to me. Salamander had made a move on his girl? She nods and looks out the window. "You donʼt care?"
She shrugs. "Theyʼre just kisses right?" I freeze. There is no way Lucy Heartfillia would classify a kiss as just a kiss. This is the girl that plays matchmaker with Mira and Levy, who squeals like a 5 year old when her OTV or whatever get together. The same girl who spent hours pouring over sappy romance novels with Levy. So why would she...
"The water takes away things that people value most about themselves. Natsu; his voice, his hair, his magic. We donʼt know about Lucy yet. We have to watch her, if we canʼt figure it out, then we might not be able to reverse it."
So then, did she lose her love for romance? I look at her, really look at her. She looks exactly the same as always but her eyes are dull. My nose twitches and I frown.
"Gajeel?" Wendyʼs voice comes from the doorway and I look over at her. "Lunch is ready." She says quietly.
"Ah, sure." I walk out of the room and close the door behind me. Before she can disappear, I catch Wendyʼs elbow. "Somethingʼs up with Lucy." I say quietly.
She nods. "I thought so." A low growling comes from inside the bedroom followed by a high pitched yelping and a loud crash. Laxus appears in the hallway and raises an eyebrow. Lily throws the door open and weʼre met with both the strangest and scariest sight.
-Acnologia-
I pace up and down the hall, my swollen belly aching. I was hours away from giving birth and I was in a bad mood. Axle, my strongest fighter had turned traitor, Shari, had become a lovesick puppy and would refuse to fight if he did. Jaxson, had also turned against me. It was troublesome, but I didnʼt have the strength to kill them. Giving birth to so many children in such a sort length of time had severely hampered my magic, if I wanted even a slight chance of winning with the disgusting creatures I had given birth to; I would have to train them myself.
At first I had been diligent, training them and feeding them. The good thing is that dragons are never really babies. Within four days, they have the same mental capacity as a human ten year old. But now... I stomach contracts and I groan, clutching my stomach. Something behind the door moves, but I ignore it. Itʼs not like I can do anything in this state. I collapse on the floor.
"SECOND!" I screech. The stone wall slides open and the second walks in. She sits on the ground beside me and stares at me with indifference.
"I told you. The more premature births you have, the more accustomed your body will be to having premature births. You body will force them out before they are even ready. This one might die."
-Second (Abigail)-
I stare at her. Filthy thing. How dare she throw away lives like that? Life is precious, not to be wasted. Not that she cares.
"This one might die." I finish.
"No!" She snarls. To an unaffected observer it might appear that she cares, but I am far from being unaffected. If this one dies, that makes four dead fetuses and less ʻchildrenʼ she has in her army. "If this one dies, you die also."
"Then who will run your training program? First? He wonʼt be back for a while."
"Ungrateful little- AH!"
I look down and repress the urge to shudder in repulsion and look away. It was important to remain expressionless and emotionless. Emotions are a liability. Her belly splits open and a little hand, coated in blood, with clawed fingernails, tears through her skin. ʻMotherʼsʼ back arches as she howls in pain. Stupid creature.
I put my hands inside the tear and pull the babe from her. Itʼs covered in blood, but is silent. I cradle itʼs naked body in my arms and stand, a blue glow from my arms travels through the childʼs body and it too begins to glow. The monster at my feet groans and I touch my bare toe to her side, her breathing is ragged and her abdomen and chest are soaked in dark red blood. Energy flows down and into her, the blood remains but the torn flesh begins to knit itself back together. The babe takes longer, after thirty seconds, there's little chance it will wake, but I am determined to allow it to live.
After a few tense moments she takes a shuddering breath and begins to cry. I almost sob with relief. ʻMotherʼ rises from her position on the floor.
"Give it to me." She demands. But I am reluctant to hand her over. This helpless child, with a shock of black hair, a little girl, was about to be turned into a monster. Mother would reach into her chest cavity and rip out her heart. A process most effective in ridding a newborn dragon of emotion. I don't want to give her to a cruel woman with an inferiority complex.
"She's too weak. If you take her heart, she will not survive. She will die for sure."
Mother snorts and turns to one of the many doors in the room. The one that contained human clothing. Few of us could turn human. Only myself, Shari, Axle, Jaxson, Kyou, Alicia, him and one more whose name escape me now. We were the most valuable. We could infiltrate human society, it was rare for her to kill one of us.
"Take care of her yourself then. I have no use for a child whose heart is corrupted with filthy emotions.." She opens the door and pulls out a robe. The child squirms in my arms and I glance down at her.
"LEAVE!" I flinch and sprint out of the room, the child now wailing as though she were in pain.
I take her to the ʻhumanʼ room. Alicia is lounging on a chair, gnawing on a bone and Shari sits in the corner shaking. Neither of them look up when I enter.
"Itʼs a girl." I announce weakly. Alicia walks over and stares at the naked child. "It sure is. Does she have a name?"
"Not yet."
"Another human-born. Thatʼs a bit strange."
I nod. Regardless of which form ʻmotherʼ was in the children always emerged as dragons and used their teeth to open the womb from the inside and from there, ate away part of ʻmothersʼ flesh, which is where I come in. I tear the newborn away and throw it into a corner, heal ʻmotherʼ and leave. But, like me, Alicia and Shari and the others who could turn human, were born as human children. I was born naturally like a human child, but by the time Alicia (who was tenth to be born) was born, the fetusʼs were tearing their way through ʻmotherʼsʼ flesh like the dragons.
Either way, human-borns are much more delicate than dragon-born therefore couldn't be thrown in a corner. So I was charged with raising them, which is why the human-born's have gentler souls that the dragon-borns. But Alicia doesn't have a heart, neither does Shari.
"She stinks. Letʼs take her to the bath-house."
I glance over at Shari.
"She wonʼt come. Sheʼs dying on the inside. Weʼll fix her later."
A part of me wanted to comfort Shari, but the rest of me wanted to bathe and clothe the girl in my arms, and cleanse myself of the blood. The rest of me wins out and we leave Shari to herself.
Being a human-born was not without itʼs perks. We generally got better food, because we could pick-pocket and purchase human food. We had caves indoors and we had a bath house to keep ourselves relatively clean. The bath house was really just a series of hot springs. I wade into the water, fully clothed and use the sleeve of my shirt to wash the baby. Her struggles quiet down and she lays in my arms contentedly.
"Sheʼll be hungry soon." Alicia tells me. I turn around and look at her. Alicia, not one to be shy, had stripped off and was naked as the day she was born. I should know, I was her ʻmid-wife.ʼ
"I donʼt want her to be like us." I say. Alicia, in the middle of scraping either mud or blood of her arm (most likely the latter), freezes.
"What?"
"I donʼt want her to be like us." I repeat
She shakes her head. "I know what you said I just didnʼt think youʼd be that stupid."
"I could tell mother that she died. Sheʼs very weak as it is."
"Youʼre going to lie? Iʼve been a bad influence on you."
"Sheʼs just a baby."
"Not for long."
"I could just teach her good things, then later-"
Alicia cuts me off. "No. Lying is fine. But lying to her? Thatʼs a great way to get yourself killed."
"She wonʼt kill me." I say, unsure of who I was trying to convince. "No-one else knows how to deliver a fetus."
"Yeah well." She resumes scraping the dried blood of her skin and I rise out of the water and pat the baby dry as I do I notice a birthmark on her stomach that resembles a double note.
"Utau." I say.
"What shit are you spouting now?" Alicia calls from the bath.
I hold the baby up.
"Her name is Utau."
"Sing?"
"She has a birthmark that looks like a double note."
"You and your bloody music."
I give a half smile and look at the child in my arms. In the time she had been taken from the throne room, sheʼd grown to the size of a six month old. Tomorrow, sheʼs be the same size as a 3 year old human and the day after sheʼd be nine. In four days, sheʼd be the same, ʻageʼ as me and mother would have already planned her role in the war.
"Sheʼs a bit cute." Kyou calls out. I wave, I hadnʼt seen him since that Lucy girl was here. "Whatʼs up."
"Not much." He sheds the top half of his clothing and shoes. "Can I have that?" I ask pointing at his torn cloak.
"What for?"
"Utau."
"Uh, sure." He takes off the rest of his clothes and Alicia growls in satisfaction. He slips into the water beside his mate and catches her in a kiss. I look away and pick up the torn article of clothing and I hear Alicia moan.
"Get a room." I call. Alicia and Kyou were very... Physical. They did it everywhere. In the bath, in the hall, where ever.
"Abigail!" Kyou calls.
"Donʼt talk to me while youʼre having sex!" I yell back I walk into the hallway, Kyouʼs voice follows me, but if it werenʼt for dragon hearing, I would definitely have missed his warning. "Heʼs here."
I freeze. He was back. Already? I wasnʼt ready to face him yet. There was no way...
Abigail.
His voice invades my head and I put up barriers around the thoughts and memories of Utau.
Come and see me. I'm in my room.
Okay.
I rush back to the human room.
"Shari." I say, voice shaking.
She moves slightly but otherwise, doesn't acknowledge my presence. I push Utau in her arms. "He's here. Look after Utau for me."
At this, her head jerks up and she stares at me with eyes that are dull and almost completely void of life if it weren't for the undercurrent of concern.
Abigail. Now.
"Please?"
Shari's arms cradle Utau to her chest, rises and leaves the room swiftly.
I walk down the hallway slowly, dreading what I would find at the end of it. At least he didn't tie me down anymore. It's not like I could run, who would save me from the first. I pull my collar around my throat tightly and as I do, my fingers brush the green scales on my neck. A mark put there forcibly by the man who could call to me in his mind. I push the stone door open and see him standing there, waiting for me. His room is considerably larger than everyone else's because he prefers to be in dragon form. In fact, he is rarely in human form, unless he has plans for us. Dragons don't feel pleasure as humans do, so this way is much more convenient for him. He doesn't turn as I walk in, his short greenish-blue hair, the colour of mold, is dirty and matted with dried blood and sweat. He's taller and bigger than I remember. I stand in the doorway, wondering if I could sneak away. But then he speaks and I know I don't have a chance.
"Close the door." I don't move for a moment, then turn and do as he says. I stay facing the door, unwilling to turn around. "Turn." I do and see he's still not looking at me. "You're being strangely obedient."
A noise somewhere between affirmation and a whimper slips out from between my lips. Finally he turns and his red eyes fix on me, or to be more accurate, my body. "Strip." He orders. My lower lip wobbles and I raise a shaky hand to remove my shirt. I lift it over my head slowly and when it drops to the floor, I see he's removed his armor and was standing only in what humans call 'boxers'
(AN: Begins)
"I told you to strip." His voice is low and gravelly. I lower my hands to unbutton my pants, but he pounces on me, we collide and go crashing to the floor, he rips off my pants and I whimper, knowing what comes next. I hated this. I was his mate, but not by choice. I hated him, he terrified me. I'd only ever told Jaxson about what this monster did to me, but when he had to leave, he'd told Kyou and Axle so they could protect me against him. But they couldn't do much. They were too young to fight against the first, even together. When Kyou mated with Alicia and Axle and Shari grew closer, they'd told them about me too. It was a bit better known there were people ready to help me, but it still hurt whenever he touched me. His lips touch my breast and I squirm under him.
"You like it don't lie."
He rakes his teeth down my stomach and I half-scream in pain. He wasn't even gentle. He treated me like a play-thing, and I guess, I was. His nails, clawed and sharp, scrap up my thighs and he plays with me. The tears come and I don't even try to stop them, without warning, he pushes into me and I cry out in pain and shock. He flips me onto my stomach and by now I'm fully sobbing.
"Don't act like you hate it you slut."
He bites down on my neck and I scream in pain, mistaking it for a cry of pleasure he grunts in satisfaction. Tears gush down my face, and he yanks my head back by pulling on my hair. Crouching between my legs, he begins the worse part. I let my body shut down, unwilling to feel, I hate the way that I'm too weak even to protest. But my body is wreaked from months of ravishing and even if I had the strength, repercussions were assured. I'm too compassionate for my own good, according to Jaxson, and that is my biggest weakness. My heart is intact, and I can't stand others being harmed in my stead. And he used that to his advantage, threatening to harm or kill my sisters or brothers if I did not comply with his every demand. I close my eyes, screaming internally, knowing any reaction at all, to him, is a sign that I enjoy it.
_ Later_
It's finally over. The humiliation and unfairness of my situation washes over me. He left after he'd had enough and so there I lay, on the ground, clothes tattered, body aching, I hadn't the strength to clothe myself yet.
A soft rap on the stone wall and Alicia walks in. She may be a lethal weapon, but she's always there when we need her. She picks me up and pulls a dress over my head gently. She then loops and arm under my shoulders and hefts my still, uncooperative body into her arms and hurries out of the room, we pass Kyou, who enters the room after us, presumably to collect the torn pieces of fabric that no longer resembled clothes.
"I don't know why he's still around. Asshole could pay people to hav sex with him and enjoy it. Or he can rape the fuck out of a girl, and as if that wasn't twisted enough, you're his sister!"
I wince. We are all related here, but apparently, when we mate with consent from both sides, it no longer matters.
-Lily-
"I don't know if I should laugh or do something." Gajeel says to me.
Rogue is sitting on the kitchen counter, butt naked and licking raw meat off a spoon. His eyes are glazed over, like he's high or something and he's swinging his legs and bopping his head to a tune I can't hear. Sting has managed to maintain a little of his dignity (though not much) and is wearing one of Lucy's thongs over his uhum… parts. He's lying lopsidedly on the couch and singing loudly in a language that I've never heared before but seems to make perfect sense to him because he reaches a part in his song and a fit of giggles overtakes him and he falls off the couch still laughing.
Beside me, Laxus bursts into rapturous laughter, but I notice he takes the time to cover Wendy's eyes.
In the center of his chaos is a boy with a shock of bright green hair that stands up on end, like he's been electrocuted, he dons a cloak several shades darker than his hair that's fastened at his throat with a black button. He's tall but lanky and he slouches to one side. Vines and swirling patterns crawl up his arm and in the epicenter of each tattoo is the word, energy. He doesn't appear to notice us and instead seems to be very interested in the adventures of Rogue the frog.
Beside him is a girl with dark brown hair that is tied in a thick braid and is carelessly thrown over her shoulder. Tiny snowflakes decorate her braid and a blue ribbon hangs loosely from the end. She's quite appears young, but her expression is old and her eyes are bright blue with dark irises. Those mesmerizing eyes lock onto each of us in turn and I swear the room drops in temperature. She tugs her companion's sleeve and he turns to us, grinning.
"Ah, hey. Your friends decided that I wasn't worth their time and tried to kick me out. So I just…"
"Immaturities aside, perhaps introductions are in order?" The girl cuts him off, her voice old-fashion and pleasant to listen to.
"I guess." The boy scratches his ear sheepishly. "I'm Chakara."
"Swirling pools of energy." Wendy says.
"Yeah. After my magic."
"That's not a proper introduction." The girl says, not looking at him.
"Yeah, well."
"I am called Yuki, written with the character for Snow. I am ten years old. This is my companion, Chakara, written with the characters for tea, skilled and deamon. We are your new comrades and allies in battle. Please take care of us." He last sentence is complete with a bow at the waist and as she straightens up she glance at Chakara.
He bows clumsily and waves. "You can call me Chuck." He says.
"Perhaps our new house mates would feel more inclined to converse with us if you released their companions?"
"Sure." He flexes his arms and both Sting and Rogue collapse and a moment later awake groggily.
"Mr. Cheney, Mr. Eucliffe? Some clothes would be appreciated."
Rouge looks down, yelps and rushes to gather his clothes. But Sting just repositions himself on the couch and points to Chuck.
"How'd you do that?"
Chuck wiggles in fingers in Sting's direction.
"Magic."
"You said you are our allies?" I ask the girl.
"Correct. We were sent here by the Magic Council in order to aid you in your endeavor to annihilate Acnologia and her children of death."
"A kid and a baby. Great, we're sure to win now." Gajeel says sarcastically.
Yuki fixes him with an icy glare. "Perhaps you have misunderstood us."
The room instantly freezes over. The ice crawls up the walls and shatters the lighting lacrima.
"Chakara and I are Dragon Slayers. Of Energy and Ice, respectively."
As she speaks, the ice in the room retracts, causing a now-dressed-Rogue to slip. The ice returns to her hand in the form of a snowflake, she curls her hand into a fist, At that point, I'm sure my mouth drops open. "What?"
"Chakara is a Energy Dragon Slayer, though a very weak one, he can only control energy that is contained in animals, thereby influencing their decisions, memories and the like."
"Weak? That's a bit harsh." I ask. How could she speak of her friend so coldly?
"It's alright mate. She says what she thinks and doesn't have a filter on what is okay to say and what's not. It's refreshing after a while."
"Uh."
"I have total control over my powers, Ice, Snow and Wind. I have recently learnt to control water that is almost at freezing point, by moving the ice particles within. I only ever lose control when I feel depressed or am furious."
What I notice about Yuki is that when she speaks, her voice is completely void of emotion. When she spoke about her own powers, she wasn't bragging, she was stating facts. She wasn't embarrassed by her companion's antics. She either had no emotions, or was very good at hiding them.
"Emotions are a weakness in her eyes. They are distractions and have no meaning." Chuck says. I look at him, startled. "Having energy as a power, I can hear the thoughts of those around me. Like your friend Cobra." He nods his head towards said Dragon Slayer. He'd been sitting in the corner watching us the whole time. Now, he stands and hands Laxus a letter.
"The kid gave this to me. It's from the Council and seems legit. I've read their minds too, and they appear to be telling the truth."
Laxus scans the letter and hands it to Gajeel, I read it over his shoulder.
Miss. Heartfillia,
This letter is to inform you that the children slayers we discussed before your departure have been located and have agreed to aid you in your quest. The eldest, Chakara, (Chuck) is sixteen years of age and his 'little sister' Yuki, (Who bares no DNA similarities) is ten years. We would appreciate it if you did not ask them questions about their background as we have wiped all distressing memories from their existence and replaced them with kinder ones. Any questions regarding their past may trigger unwanted memories and interfere with proceedings.
Kind Regards,
Doranbolt
To my surprise, Laxus hands the letter down to Wendy.
"What do you think kid?"
She reads it to herself quietly, but when she reaches the part about the erased memories, she has the sense to keep quiet.
Natsu walks in through the door and plucks the letter from her hands and reads it. He looks flustered and he's panting a little, like he's been running.
"It smells of him a little." Wendy says. "Doranbolt, I mean. But this letter is addressed to Lucy so we should get her to read it."
"I think Lucy's a few stars short of a constellation at the moment." Natsu says, setting the letter on fire. "There's no reason why they can't stay." He then waltzes over to the couch and switches on the lacrima to a show that he doesn't really watch.
"Natsu-nii? Are you-"
"I'm fine." He waves away Wendy's concern and fixes his gaze once again on the lacrima and refuses to answer when we speak to him.
"Which of you is Gajeel Redfox?" Yuki says. "We have a message for you."
"Uh… Me?"
"Gajeel Redfox, Levy McGarden requested that you contact her with a vision lacrima as soon as you have some free time. She said it was urgent and I will add, if I may, that she did not look at all well when we spoke with her."
Immediately, Gajeel's face turns white and he grabs the lacrima and locks himself in the bathroom.
-Levy-
With Mira on one side and Cana on the other, I sit up and allow them to spoon-feed me bacon soup. I'm better than I was a few days ago, my body's adjusting but it was still a strange sensation. I cough and Cana moves to grab a bucket, but I'm alright. I haven't coughed up blood in a while, only bile. I finish my soup with little difficulty and I rub my full belly happily. Someone knocks on the door. Bisca.
"Levy it's Gajeel." She hands me the lacrima and the girls bruise themselves in an attempt to leave the room. Gajeel's face is pale and his eyes are wide.
"Are you okay? Are you sick? Do you need me to come back? Wha-"
"Gajeel." My voice is quiet, but he stops and stares at me. "I'm better than I was."
"Are you sick?" His voice is warm and gentle, I grin. I'm not the only one who can tell.
"Not really." I say.
"Why are you grinning shrimp?" The tone he uses is like he can't believe my stupidity. His next words confirm my theory. "Are you mad?"
"No." I laugh a little.
"Then why-"
"Gajeel," I hesitate. "I'm pregnant."
His eyes grow wide and his mouth sags open, for a minute I'm terrified he'll crush the lacrima and refuse to have anything to do with me. He drops his head in his arms, then the vision starts shaking. I wait for a few tense moments, then…
"Really?" His head jerks up and I almost start crying with relief. His face is split into the most handsome smile that takes over his entire face, his eyes are lit up and I recognize the face he made after our first night together. He's laughing.
"Yeah." I say, a little breathless. "You're gonna be a daddy."
His laugh fills the room on his side and mine and he shakes his head.
"No way." He looks up again. "I wish I could kiss you."
"Are you mad?" I ask, though I know it's a foolish question.
"Are you kidding shrimp? I thought it'd take forever to convince you to have kids. I'm fucking thrilled!" He laughs again and stands. Through the vision I see that he's in the bathroom, he throws open the door and I see Natsu, Rogue, Sting, Yuki, Chuck, Cobra, Laxus and Wendy.
"I'm gonna be a daddy!" He screams and I laugh. Wendy reacts first and screams with delight. Everyone else is stunned by his declaration and before I see their reactions, the lacrima powers down and cuts out. Mira, Cana and Bisca tumble through the door.
"How'd he take it?" Cana asks.
I shake my head and grin.
