It was raining.
The rain pored down on the ground and made the earth slick with the water that had fallen from above. To put it simply,
It was raining.
There was a chill in the air but it wasn't unpleasantly cold. There was no wind that blew by. The sounds was nothing but the pitter patter of the rain that hit the ground.
The air was fresh and clear. For the first time that day, it felt clean. The day had been long and frushtraighting. It had been filled with blood and loss. Defeat and betrayal. And it was because of this that that moment meant all the more to him.
Because he was there for him.
Even now, as it happened, he still couldn't believe what was happening. He couldn't believe that what he had longed for for oh so long was finally coming true. But the feeling, the warmth, of his arms in contrast to the air told him otherwise. The feeling of his lips on his own spoke much more than he could ever have imagined.
And oh god those lips.
He couldn't help but melt against them. They were so comforting, so there.
He shivered and leaned into his touch. He wrapped his own arms around him and, when he, his other, broke the kiss, buried his face into his chest. The cloth of his suit was soaked through from the rain. He vaguely registered in his mind that they should get inside, to get warm before they caught colds and got sick. He couldn't get sick, his life style wouldn't permit it. He had paperwork to do, meetings to attend, guardians to stop from destroying everything.
But.
He didn't want to. He was afraid that if he let go now then he would never come back. He was afraid that his cloud, his cloud, would slip away again if he should let go even for a moment.
Hibari ran a hand through Tsuna's soft hair and leaned down to murmur something in Tsuna's ear, "It's alright. I'm here. I'll always be here."
Tsuna's grip around the ex-perfect tightened and he, like the child that he used to be, whispered, "Promise?"
"Promise. After all, what is a cloud without his sky? No matter how far away I may drift, I shall always find my way back here. Back Home."
Tsuna lifted his face from Hibari's chest and looked up to see if his cloud guardian was serious or not. "Home?"
"Ah. Home." Then Hibari kissed Tsuna for the second time and Tsuna couldn't help but hope that this wasn't a dream.
Oh how he hoped this wasn't a dream.
Hibari broke the second kiss and picked Tsuna up, carrying him briadal style. "Omnivore-, no. Tsunayoshi. Shall we head back inside?"
Something fluttered inside Tsuna's chest and he smiled, "Ah. Lets, Kyouya."
AN: I was up and reading fanfiction when this idea struck me and I couldn't help but type it out... This is a One-Shot by the way. I will not continue it, even if it is my favorite pairing.
