I'm back! Sorry this chapter is short. Very. Short.
Good news and bad news:
Good News- I'm going to do a 3rd part to ATFO after this second part is over. Bad News- This is the 2nd to last chapter in the second part.
So, I recently discovered that the song this fanfic is based off of, A Tale of Six Trillion Years and An Overnight Story, is actually part of a song series of eight done by Kemu Voxx. The songs are all really amazing, but this fic doesn't fit in with the other songs. In the series there is one other song that correlates directly to A Tale of 6trill, and it's called The Earth's Final Confession. So, I will cover the contents of that song too eventually. It might be a one-shot follow up after ATFO is done... So, as clarification, This fanfic stands independently from the other songs in the series which include: Life Reset Button [Gumi], Invisible [Gumi & Rin], Life Cheating Game [Gumi], Wind-up God [Gumi], A Tale of... etc [IA], The Earth's Final Confession [Gumi], Reincarnation [Gumi & Rin], The Deafeated Boy [Gumi]. I underlined my favorites besides the song this is based off of.
Thanks for all the reviews and support!

X~61~X
The noise of the world swells into a clap and the crowd erupts with a roar and intensity unknown to her ears. Miku screams. Her voice is lost in the ocean of others with their mouths drooling at the spectacle they've waited their entire lives for.
Demons.
The burlap bag is ripped off of her head and her eyes flood with white light. After they adjust, she feels sick. Literally sick. In front of her is the underground city IA had spoken of, a metropolis buried beneath rock that had been enlightened to the clouds. In front of her, people. As far as she can see there are just… people. Swarming, cheering, everywhere.
Her hands are bound by thick chains so she's made to kneel on the wooden stage elevated high, high above the city's ground. Beside her, Len, and beside him, Rin and beside her, IA, IO and Miki. Len's head turns just the slightest and his eyes meet hers. Miku forces tears away as the crowd continues to scream, a human eruption.
And then someone steps forward. In front of the line of demon children stands a beautiful woman with short blue hair the same color as Lapis', her elegant white and gold dress flowing behind her. She raises her palms open to the sky and instantly, the chorus of crying voices silences.
"My citizens!" She cries outwards, her voice carrying with its own melody. "The saved, the graced, here today, I stand before you. The demons are with us. And, when the tree of God has rotten fruit… it is plucked."
The crowd roars again with new ferocity. Behind Miku, a blonde shouts through a gag. She turns her head as far as she can to see Yuuma and Oliver, chained and gagged. Before she can say a word, Haku steps forward, a rapier in her hand, and places the tip on the small of her back. Miku whines in anticipation of agony that does not come.
Haku runs the cold blade against the white dress on her back.
"Hush now, child." She whispers, venom seeping from her lips.
"Now," the blue haired woman cries, turning to face her captives, "The Akuma will watch our apology, our redemption to the Lord." Her incredibly cold fingers grip Miku's chin and forces her to look upwards. On the ceiling of the underground city, is a large screen. A massive monitor. And as if on a cue, the screen blinks to life, showing a small town. A beach town filled with dinky and quaint houses and a park with replanted grass. Miku shifts her eyes to see Miki tear up at the end of the line. She's smiling, and crying.
Lily steps forward from the line of three Masters behind the demons and traitors. She extends a hand with a silver button in the center. Kaiko sweeps it up and holds it centimeters from Miku's nose.
"At the touch of this… we will be redeemed." Her unbelievably cold fingers stroke the side of Miku's face. Her stomach churns. "Don't you wish to be saved?"
With a confidence and hatred unlike anything she's ever felt before, Miku growls in the most menacing and emotionless tone she can muster, "Bitch."
There's silence. Miku gaps for breath as the blade of Haku's rapier pierces straight through her stomach.
"Bite your tongue, little girl." Kaiko whispers as Haku twists the blade in Miku's stomach and blood sprays from her mouth onto the ground, into her lap.
"Hey!" Rin screams at her. "HEY! Blue haired freak! I'm talking to you!"
"Oh…" Kaiko drops Miku's chin and lets her wallow in her agony and slowly moves over to Rin. "I remember you from the reports my dear husband sent." Kaiko runs her fingers through Rin's blonde hair. She takes the opportunity to spit on her wrist. "Mm…" Kaiko looks down at her hand and wipes the spit onto Rin's cheek. "So feisty, just as Kaito said."
"Oh, Kaito? Was he your husband?" Rin hisses, smirking. "Yeah, I killed him."
The blue haired woman's smile never falters. Her bony fingers crush Rin's jaw with incredible force. "Rude little girls shouldn't speak out of turn."
"Lalala… I can't hear you." The blonde hisses, rolling her red eyes.
A bullet flies through the side of Rin's neck, grazing her. She cries out as flesh is ripped from the right side of her neck and strains to not scream. The force of the bullet caused her to bite down onto her tongue so hard blood now dribbles from her lips.
"Do you know what this button does?" Kaiko continues, strolling away, smiling all the while.
"Oh please tell me it makes you shut up." Len snaps, feeling his face heat up with rage. Kaiko chuckles, a melodic noise. "Am I right?" He gasps in fake shock. "Oh, I hope I'm right!"
"Silence it."
The blade of Haku's blood stained rapier plunges clean through Len's neck. He chokes on his own blood and dies, right there. The crowd explodes into cries of pure joy and amazement. It continues on, their voices rolling like waves until Len revives, gasping and sputtering for air. Miku's tears roll off of her cheeks.
"Hey!" IA screams at the top of her lungs. All voices silence. Kaiko slowly moves over to her, heels clacking against the wood as she comes to a stop. "You're a bad person." IA spits, as if it's the most savage insult ever spoken. Kaiko laughs.
"Yes… you'll do just fine. Little girl, what if I told you, that pressing this button would save the lives of everyone here, even you?" IA eyes her curiously. "Would you press it?"
"Never." IA huffs, scowling.
"Oh… you see, we're at an impasse here, because, I need you to press this button. Can you do that for me, or am I going to have to hurt your friend?" Kiyoteru silently moves to place the barrel of a shotgun at the back of IO's head. IA pales visibly, then, she shakes her head in a defiant no. "Hmm… what about one of them?" Kiyoteru swivels on a heel and presses the barrel of the gun against Yuuma's forehead. "What about him?" Kaiko holds the button out in front of IA's nose, so all she has to do is dip her head and press it to the silver. "Will you save him with the button?"
IA's eyes widen, as if realizing something.
So she speaks. "You're going to die."
"Oh honey," Kaiko chuckles. "Not for a very, very long time."
Something heavy drops down, down, down, and boot-clad feet smack into the wooden stage with a deafening clap. Two guns press themselves to the sides of Kaiko's neck and the world holds it breath. "Hmm, you know if I was you, I might want to re-evaluate the situation." A green haired girl chides, pressing the guns deeper. "Because, in a word, you're screwed. Now, what do you say you tell your crony to drop that mean ol' shot gun, huh?"
Told you it was short! But the next chapter is already written and will be up tomorrow, I promise~
