Chapter Four

"You said you visited your uncle here...I assume you are Isabella's cousin then?" Kate asked as she jumped in to start a conversation.

Kagome nodded, "Yes, our fathers were brothers." When her father had passed she didn't get to come visit as often, something she had been saddened by. She had loved coming to Forks, it was different than the busy city of Tokyo.

"Were?" Irina inquired as she glanced at the woman, she knew this slip of a person would be joining them one day, so she might as well get to know her as well.

"Yes, My father passed away when I was Ten." She gave them a small smile, she was used to being asked this question in Japan, so it didn't hurt as much when asked this question.

"I'm Sorry..." Irina said, as vampires they all knew loss, and knew a simple I'm sorry wouldn't mean much, but it is good to hear nonetheless.

"There is no apology needed you didn't know." Kagome gave her a smile, reassuring her that the question didn't bother her.

"How old are you, Kagome?" Carman, the softer spoken of the females asked, her gold eyes holding more years than they should. It reminded her of the demons she had met before...then again, all of the gold eyes here at the wedding hold the same look.

The look of being alive too long...and seeing and experiencing too much.

"I'm twenty-one."

Tanya blinked in surprise, "Really...and you already finished college..."

Kagome laughed, "I got my GED when I was sixteen and went straight go getting my degrees."

Eleazar raised an eyebrow, "What did you get a degree in?" He was curious what she studied, what one went into as a carrier could tell a lot about a person.

Kagome gave a small smile, "I have a degree in History and Ancient Artifacts." She was proud of her degrees. It has taken her awhile to fully figure out what she had wanted to get a degree in...and she as happy with her decision.

"Why did you get degree in those?" Kate inquired as she looked over the blue eyed girl. She was definitely not what she would have guessed to pair up with her sister.

"Something to do with my upbringing..." and it sorta did...her adventures had to do with her choice of career.

Tanya who had already asked similar questions spoke up, wanting to know more, "Have you decided what you are going to do with your degree?" She had learned that she had lived in Florida before...and hoped that she could find a way to get her somewhere not sunny so she could visit...or something. She hadn't gotten that far ahead yet...

Kagome gave a hum, "I would like to work in a museum...or a University. My Teacher helped me put out Resumes to Universities before I left...and I was going to put out a couple more...and some Resumes for Museums while I am out here in Forks..."

Tanya nodded, she would have to see where her Resumes were sent out too...maybe she could send one to the University in Alaska...she would have to figure it out later.

Just as Tanya was going to say more, music started and everything went quiet around them.

Talking would have to wait till after the wedding it seems. Tanya gave Kagome a smile as they waited for the first person to appear at the isle.

YUki Note: Hope you all enjoyed this chapter. It was more of a filler..ish.. chapter to get to the wedding reception. I didn't want to skip right too it...sooo hence this chapter. XD
