Below Absolute Zero
5. Even in this Face, She Cannot Regret

She faces death but still she can't regret
the choice she made. The path she has chosen
for herself. And for them as well. A bet
between time, laws, chances and ice frozen
over the vast, unchanging, world of theirs
so set in its beliefs. But she did not
come to divide, or play musical chairs.
Her job: that's why, to this world, she was brought.
To gain experience, and to protect
the souls she has to free, or so she thought
and friends she's made…or at least last she's checked
more than friends, because they take such a risk
to rescue her, like a princess to whisk.
