Hey guys! So I'm really really really sorry about not posting in like a year (It's been a year...right?) Anyway, I found my drive to keep writing and I'm gonna try again to start regularly updating this story. I really hate leaving things unfinished, and I'm really enjoying the premise i have going here. Without further adeu...

Kyouhei: HOLD UP! Wait a second. This sounds exactly like what you said in the little thingy for Chapter 1 Mr./Mrs. I'm-gonna-update-every-2-weeks.

Yancy: Yeah, I've been anxiously waiting for what happens next in this story. After all, I am the main protagonist.

Kyouhei: What do you mean "main protagonist"? If anyone is the main protagonist, it would be me.

Yancy: Okay. Sure. Tell me how that "main protagonist" thing is working out with your broken ribs and all!

Kyouhei: I thought you felt bad for me!

Yancy: Yeah, but you fired shots first.

Me: Inb4 Mewtwo!

Kyouhei: What the hell! No spoiler warning? C'mon.

Me: Oh I didn't think you were gonna hear me. My bad.

Yancy: Kyouhei...how did you not know? Anyone who's anyone that plays Smash Bros would know about the upcoming Spring 2015 DLC that will include Mewtwo as a playable character.

Kyouhei: Do you see me with an access to a computer? I still use a god damn walkman. By the way, thanks for that Mr./Mrs. Author. Seriously.

Me: Just be glad I only fractured one of your ribs. I could still do loads more.

Kyouhei: (Shivers) Fine fine. I'll let it go for now.

Yancy: Anyways...ON TO THE STORY!

Me: Hey that's my line!

Kyouhei & Yancy: SHUT UP AND WRITE MORE YOU BUM!

Chapter 4

A Starry Night Amidst Adoring Fans

The full moon illuminated the top of the clouds with a creamy off-white, a stark contrast with the bruised sky; the stars dotted the sky, their light piercing the dark blue veil. A silver dragon swam through the clouds like a divine serpent watching over the sky. On its back was its trainer, whose olive hair looked gray in the moonlight, rode the beast with a certain grace. His mind wandered back two years in the past, specifically to a trainer that helped him change his mind about the relationship between Pokémon and their masters.

From birth he believed that Pokémon were better off without trainers capturing them and forcing them into battle. However, this trainer's Pokémon didn't seem like they were being forced to do anything. In fact, they were happy to be with the trainer, something that simply didn't seem possible to him. Personally, he knew that he would never enjoy being forced to live in a capsule and to fight for the rest of his life, however he neglected the bond that formed between the Pokémon and the trainer; the bond of trust that would form between trainer and Pokémon, which strengthened over time.

Mentally, he kicked him self for thinking he could decide the fate of all Pokémon. It was the Pokémon's choice whether or not it wanted to stay with its trainer.

There's no need to beat your self up, Naturia, the silver Pokémon whispered into his mind.

"Reshiram, you know how I feel about you calling me by that name," Naturia spoke into the wind.

But it is your given name. Reshiram persisted, diving into a cloud.

"It's a name I have long since abandoned. A name given to me by a man who was blinded by the grandeur of world domination through the use of his son." Naturia's mouth curved into a piteous smile.

My apologies for bringing up such sour memories, Master N. The silver dragon let out a soft cry.

"It is quite alright, friend. You are only looking out for me, and I appreciate the thought." Naturia looked up at the cream colored orb hanging in the sky. "However, save your thoughts for the world below. I fear something terrible is beginning to ensue."

I fear you may be right. The silver Pokémon dived back into the clouds.

Kyouhei yawned, stretching his one good arm towards the ceiling as light spilled into the room through the curtains. He slowly got out of bed and took a deep breath, wincing as he did so. The pain brought back the memories of yesterday; the Darmanitan, the desert, the strange man. After awkwardly getting dressed, he checked him self out of the hospital and headed towards the Pokémon Center. Today he was going to challenge the gym again. This time, however, things were going to be different, he could feel it in his gut, or his fractured rib.

Nurse joy greeted him with a look of surprise as he walked in through the double doors of the Pokémon Center.

"Oh my, Kyouhei! What happened?" Nurse joy asked with worried look on her face.

"Nothing too serious, just a fractured rib from training too hard in the desert." Kyouhei smiled at her.

"Well as a Pokémon practitioner, I'd say you should get more rest, but I know you trainers are quite obstinate when it comes to your own health." Nurse Joy chuckled. "By the way, I'm still holding your Xtransceiver for you."

"Yes! I knew I forgot about something." Kyouhei said laughing out loud. He took the device from her and slipped it into his pocket. "And now I'm off to get my badge!" Kyouhei said with a smile as he waved to Nurse Joy.

"Good luck, Kyouhei!" Nurse Joy yelled out as he left the center.

The walk to the Pokémon Gym was filled with thoughts of the mysterious Xtransceiver and its owner. His mind wandered back to that weird call he got a couple of days ago, the same day he got beaten by Elesa. He couldn't quite make out the person who was speaking to him because of all the static, which he attributed to the thunderstorm and the fact the device had been out in the rain for a while.

How does someone even lose something that's supposed to go around his or her wrist? Kyouhei thought. No matter how he pictured it, there was no way someone could possibly lose something like this if it was securely fastened. He decided that when he did find the owner, he would definitely ask them for the story of how he or she lost the device.

Soon, Kyouhei found himself in front of the Nimbasa City Gym, a rage building up in his chest began to fill his mind and body with a flame as hot as the sun. Flashbacks of his previous fight with Elesa flashed through his head, reminding him of all his defeats by her hand. This time would be the third time he had challenged her this week. Even though he hadn't caught a ground type Pokémon yet, he figured that with all that he and his Lucario had been through the last two days, he might actually have a chance with her.

As he approached the giant double glass doors to the facility, they slid open to admit him passage inside. With a deep breath and a throbbing in his rib, he walked in.

"This is it buddy." He said as he looked down to the Pokéball that held his Lurcario

One of the more interesting things about the Nimbasa City Gym that differentiated it from the other Gyms was that it was broadcasted all over the city. No other gym did this, which made this gym special. Not only did one have to have the battling skills to defeat the gym leader, you needed to be able to keep your composure in the midst of all the flashing lights and cameras. There was also a live audience watching the fight. Also because the fights were televised, the battles had a time limit.

Right inside the front doors was a reception area where one would go to sign up for a match with Elesa. Kyouhei new the procedure all the too well by now; He walked right up to the front desk, where the receptionist was looking down, playing a game on some media device she had. The woman had blond hair pulled back in a pony tail. From what Kyouhei could tell, he was wearing a white blouse and a black skirt. The bridge of her frameless glasses sat lower than usual on her nose.

He could tell she hadn't noticed him as she was too engrossed in whatever game she was playing. From a quick glace, he could tell it was some sort of game where you had to run through a forest dodging various obstacles, like fire, spinning spikes, and rapidly flowing rivers. The lady fell victim to a firetrap, her character in the game charring up instantly.

"Shit," the receptionist muttered under her breath as she quickly tapped the screen of the device in attempt to quickly start up another round of the hellish game.

"Ahem," Kyouhei coughed loudly. The woman looked up, flustered and red faced. He could now see the scarce amount of freckles dotted about her face. Kyouhei sighed as she smoothed out her self and adjusted her glasses.

"Welcome to the Nimbasa City Gy—is that you Kyouhei?" The woman asked, giving Kyouhei a quizzical look, which was instantly returned by Kyouhei with one of his own.

"Yeah," Kyouhei fished around in his mind for any reason he should know this woman sitting here. "Why do you ask?"

"Let me guess," the woman leaned back against her swivel chair, crossing her arms with an all knowing smirk on her face. "You're here to sign up for another chance at Miss Elesa?"

"Yeah," Kyouhei answered, nodding his head a little. "But, how do you know my name?"

"Oh that's simple. I've been watching all your battles with Elesa this week." The woman replied.

"Is that so?" Kyouhei felt himself lean back a bit from the receptionist, feeling a chill run down his back. "I didn't realize I had fans."

"Well, luckily for you, no one else is scheduled for Elesa today. Come back around 4." The woman's demeanor changed to business like so quick that it startled Kyouhei a bit. She turned to the computer at her desk and started to type in something. He was glad, however, that they were finally getting down to business.

"Alright that works. Thank you." He smiled at her as he turned to walk out of the building.

"Good luck, Mr. Kyouhei. You'll need it." She shot him one more smirk that he regretfully caught before he turned towards the double doors and left the facility.

Kyouhei was feeling a little hungry so he headed back towards the commercial district of the city to find some food to fill him up for his upcoming battle.

Yancy was seated outside at quiet little café, sipping on a vanilla bean frappuchino, her off white hat keeping the sun out of her eyes as she watched the people and cars pass. Sitting with her was her manager, Shizuka who had a bagel and a packet of butter on a plate in front of her.

"So what happened last night at your rehearsal with Aldith?" Shizuka asked, glancing out to the passing cars as well.

"Nothing out of the ordinary. We just ran through the set like we usually do every rehearsal." Yancy took a sip of her drink before placing down on the table. "Why are you always so curious about my rehearsals?"

"I just always find it weird that I'm your manager, yet I'm never invited to attend any your rehearsals." Shizuka looked down at her hands in her lap.

"Don't worry about it Shizuka. Its okay, I can handle my self. Besides, you always get to sit in during the dress rehearsal and Aldith usually gives you recordings of what happened in all my rehearsal so its like you were there, even if you aren't actually there." Yancy smiled at her manager.

"Okay Miss Yancy," Shizuka gave in to Yancy's smile and gave a smile of her own. "If you're not troubled by it, then I guess I don't have to either."

"Good. Besides, they say stress isn't good for you." Yancy reassured her, returning to glancing out into the street, when someone walked right in her line of sight, blocking her view of the street. She looked up to see who it was and it was none other than Kyouhei, however, he hadn't seemed to notice her sitting there.

"Kyouhei!" She called out as she got up from her chair.

There was a hint of concern in her voice, as she remembered just two days ago, she had him admitted into the hospital for a fractured rib. Kyouhei quickly spun around to meet Yancy's stare. It was then that Yancy noticed the chestnut hue of his eyes that reminded her of a nice brewed cup of coffee. He turned around to face her, beaming at her.

"What's up, adopted sister?" He said with a smirk.

Yancy's face instantly lit up red. "It was the only way I could think of to get them to let me to ride the ambulance with you." She averted her gaze quickly to the pavement. "You looked like you were in bad shape, so I just wanted to make sure you were okay."

"Hey, hey." Kyouhei placed a hand on her shoulder, earnestly smiling at her. "Don't worry about it. I'm actually really grateful for what you did for me. I'm not sure what I would have done if you weren't there."

Yancy looked back up at him, staring into his eyes again. The two of them were silent for a moment before Kyouhei spoke up.

"I see you're here with someone?" Kyouhei said quickly as he took his hand from her shoulder and turned toward Shizuka.

"This is Shizuka my…," Yancy looked down again, not able to find a way to not blow her cover as an idol, but Shizuka was right on cue.

"Adoptive Sister. How are you, Mr. Kyouhei." Shizuka got up with a smirk on her face and held out a hand to a skeptical Kyouhei. He felt the urge to call out the blatant lie, but he let it slide.

"Nice to meet you, Shizuka. And no need to call me Mr." Kyouhei smiled at her with a childish grin.

Shizuka then looked at the two of them, chuckling to her self.

"What's so funny?" Yancy said.

"Oh, nothing. I think this is my cue to leave." Shizuka walked around her chair to grab her coat that was draped over the back of the chair. "I'll just leave you two to you own devices. I'll see you back at home, sister." She flashed Yancy a wink as she turned around and walked down the street, back the way Kyouhei came.

Soon, it was just Yancy and Kyouhei, standing there in front of the small café. After a brief silence, Yancy turned toward Kyouhei.

"Did you have something you were going to do? You seemed like you were headed somewhere." Yancy asked.

"Well, I was actually headed to get some food before my Gym battle later this evening. If you want you can come with me to get some food and then if you have time come to watch me kick some Elesa butt." Kyouhei offered, his childish grin returning to his face, all his teeth bared to the world.

"Sure. That sounds fun." Yancy smiled at him, a hint of red highlighting her cheeks.

Kyouhei felt his breath get caught in his chest. He could have sworn he saw her somewhere before, but he couldn't put his finger on it. The purple eyes, the pink hair all seemed familiar for some reason. And then it came to him.

"You know, I know you probably get his a lot but you look a lot like that Nancy idol chick that sung at the football game halftime show." Kyouhei looked at her up and down. "The resemblance is crazy."

Yancy just laughed a little. "You'd be right. Almost everyday."

"Wow, I'm sorry. It probably drives you a little crazy." Kyouhei's shoulders drooped a little as he hung his head. Yancy simply placed her hand on his check and lifted his head up so that they were eye to eye.

"It does, but I'll let it slide for today." Yancy forgave him and then dropped her hand.

Kyouhei could still feel the warmth of her hand on his check even after she removed it from his face. He quickly turned, looking down the sidewalk when he realized he didn't know any good places to eat around the vicinity. He'd been eating fast food the entire time he'd been in town. He faced her again.

"You wouldn't happen to know of a nice place to eat, would you?" He asked, feeling embarrassed he wasn't familiar enough with the area to make the decision.

"Oh, of course." Yancy make her away around Kyouhei and locked his arm with hers. "Let's go."

"Lead the way."
