"Max, your report, please," said Mr. Electricidad.

Max stood up and went to stand in front of the class. It felt different compared a few days ago. Everyone in class didn't look the same in his eyes anymore. Linus was paying partial attention to him while also drawing a figure of his own. He even showed it to him this morning. The character's name was "Mr. Positive." A renewed dream. In the back corner was Marissa, looking more cheerful now after a conversation he held with her and her father.

"Sir, I know you care about your daughter," he remembered saying yesterday after class. "Maybe I'm too young to understand why you're so overprotective - forgive me for saying that, but I do know that Marissa loves you, too. She loves you too much to tell you how she feels."

Mr. Electricidad crossed his arms. "And what is she feeling?"

Max stepped back and landed a hand on Marissa's back. She looked at him hesitantly. He nodded. She looked down on the floor for a moment, then faced her father with a deep breath.

"You're smothering me, Dad," she told him. "There are times I feel like I'm wired to do as I'm told, like I don't have a choice or a saying in anything. I know you're afraid something will happen to me, but we shouldn't let fear keep us sheltered.

"I'm not saying I want to go out to the world and leave you behind, Dad. I just want to have some freedom. I want to go home to my friends and hang out with them. Like Max. He's a really good kid, and he's a good friend. Most importantly, he's a very good dreamer. I like hearing him tell stories about Sharkboy and Lavagirl, and about Planet Drool where he got to meet Tobor and traveling down the Land of Milk and Cookies. He's got an amazing gift, and I want to be a part of that."

Her father looked down on the ground, his expression unreadable. Max worried that he may have damaged their relationship. As the seconds ticked by, his anxiety worsened.

"I'm sorry," Mr. Electricidad finally said. He stood up and went around the table to hug his daughter. "I'm sorry. You're right. I shouldn't have held you so tight."

Marissa tightened her grip around him... "Any day now, Max." Mr. Electricidad's words snapped Max right back to the present. He glanced over at his teacher, who now had an understanding expression. The face of a teacher who was willing to learn as much as to teach.

Facing the crowd again, he started.

"The following story is true. It might have started as a dream. But when we make our dreams a reality, reality becomes a dream... Sarox and his friends, they are continuing on their journey to protect the dreams of others while working to make theirs a reality. Sharkboy lives his dream as King of the Ocean where he cares for all its creatures. He searches for his father's submarine where there is no light, except in one place where light shines almost as bright as the sun. It's where Lavagirl lives her dream as queen of the world's volcanoes that boil at the bottom of the sea. A force of life for all living things. Sharkboy and Lavagirl don't visit me anymore. But I can visit them, in my dreams. So dream a better dream... then work to make it real."

Max spent hours after school at home to work on a robot built by scrap metal and wires. Marissa and Linus occasionally brought material they thought would help. His parents watched on silently. It was nice to see them not quarreling anymore. They had somehow worked out their differences and come to love each other even more deeply. So there was only one last thing that needed working out.

After many days of hardwork, research and effort, it was finally assembled to near completion. The finishing touch was to activate it. Max carefully installed the chip to the robot's core, wires all rightfully placed. The Keyblade in his bedroom sparked and generated its magic to his fingers, giving him the final touch he needed. The robot's eyes shot open as it came to life. Just like the rest of Max's dreams.

"Yes?" said Tobor.
