"Welp, this is going from bad to worse," Feedback mumbled.
Frightmare and Libby approached us, sneering and glowing with sinister energy pulsating from their bodies.
"You want the first pickings?" asked Libby to Frightmare.
"Nah. Ladies first."
"Ladies first," I snarled with Flo. "I'll take Libby."
"And I'll deal with Frightmare."
"Hey! I want in on this!" shouted the Gazelle.
"Me too!" Feedback agreed.
"Fine!" I shouted. "Gazelle you're with me."
Well, needless to say, it wasn't much of a fight for Feedback. One blast from one of Frightmare's fire blasts sent him flying. It was only when Flo started using her typhoons did the battle get interesting. The shadows that erupted out of the inside of his costume grabbed her and sent her into the ground. She sank into the ground through tiny cracks.
"Where did you go?" shouted Frightmare, looking around frantically.
SLAM! A torrent of water sent him into the ceiling, he fell, but not before sending an eye laser into the water. Flo screamed as part of her body evaporated.
"Now I got you," Frightmare snarled.
Big mistake. The vapor turned into water, then poured into his face. Hot water. Scalding hot. Needless to say his face wasn't red with mad anger. With a blast of shadow magic, he blasted a hole in the floor. And the lower floors. Nobody could have survived that. Actually, Flo did.
"Buh bye."
And one push sent him falling. He was done. But for how long? Meanwhile, Libby was putting up as much a fight as Frightmare was. She morphed into a large tiger, and slashed at my legs. Thankfully I was able to stretch and leap out of her way. The Gazelle charged at her, but she changed into a bird and avoided his attacks. Too bad that's not enough to escape the clutches of a boy made of rubber! Well, a bird was. Boy did she make the mistake of trying to turn into a Komodo dragon! All I had to do was keep her held by the tail and avoid that bacteria filled mouth. Though she did hurt me with a few whacks from her tail. It took a good hard kick from the Gazelle to stop her.
"What now?" I asked the other heroes.
"We go after Mr. Fear and the Mutant," snarled Molecule Man.
I nodded. But then I looked down at Libby. "What do we do with her?"
"I got an idea," Flo said with a smile. Seconds later, Libby was stuck to the wall and coated in ice except for her head.
"Great," Molecule Man said. "Can we go now?"
(!)
"Didn't think you were into kinky stuff, Fear!" shouted Dinah.
"Don't you ever shut up?"
Mr. Fear had her strapped to an operating table, a large device, looking suspiciously like a cannon, pointed right at her. She didn't know how to get out of this one. As she looked for a way to get out, she saw the Masked Mutant shivering.
"Something wrong?" Mr. Fear asked.
"Cold for some reason."
"Grab a blanket," Mr. Fear snarled. "Our test is about to begin."
"What test?" demanded Dinah.
Mr. Fear and the Mutant smiled, showing teeth. "The Horrifyer," Mr. Fear explained. "And you are the first test subject."
