18.
It had been hours since the gang had been all sprayed off and dried. They all now sat around the warm fire as the darkness of the night crept in around them. Emma, Regina and Robin sat on a blanket that was situated over a wooden plank. Oliver was curled up between Emma and his mother, Dodger at his side, while Roland was long since passed out in Robin's lap.
"So," Killian rounded the corner of the brick house. "I have booze." He smiled, lifting the cooler higher in his arms.
Regina eyed the man but decided that after all the day's activities, she too could use a drink. "In the kitchen, there is a wrack on the far wall, go get the two top most bottles." She whispered as Killian sat the cooler down, gently, behind her.
Robin shifted under his son's weight. "I'll get it, Killi. I'm going to put Roland to bed… He is drooling all over me." He chuckled softly, pulling his son into his arms before clumsily getting to his feet. Dodger wiggled around next to Oliver, causing the boy to sit up.
"Can Dodger sleep with me tonight?" the ginger boy looked at his mom.
"Oliver, I don't think Ruby would like-"
"No, go ahead." Ruby said, waving her hand. "He hasn't paid me any attention since we got here anyway."
The boy's eyes shot back up to his mom. "Please?"
"Fine." Regina mumbled, knowing that her son wasn't leaving without the cur.
Oliver and Dodger followed Robin into the house while Killian divvied out bottles of beer to Emma, Ruby and Jefferson before gabbing himself one. As he sat down on the cooler, a light from inside the house nearly blinded him.
Emma and Regina both shot around to look into the window. The kitchen light was clearly on. "Yay, power." Emma laughed, popping the cap off of her brew.
"Well, that certainly is a relief," Regina sighed.
After a few minutes, Robin came from around the side yard. He carried two bottles of wine and two glasses. Handing the open bottles off to his wife, he slid down beside her. "I figured you may want a glass."
"Pfft." Regina laughed. "I'm going to just down this straight from the bottle. After all that mud, I don't feel like I need to be too much of a lady tonight."
Emma looked sideways at the brunette, a sinister grin on her face. "uh huh."
"Before we commence in getting completely shit-faced, what are we looking at as far as sleeping arrangements go?" Killian asked.
"I figure, the love birds can have the living room and you can sleep downstairs on the couch, if you don't want to sleep up there with them… that is." Robin said, looking around at the shaggy hair man perched behind him.
"Fine by me." Killian said before taking a long gulf from his bottle.
After a while of silently staring into the fire, Robin looked back to Killian. "So, how did you and our Miss Swan become such close friends?"
"Ah." Killian smiled, looking over at Emma. "Well, when I was living in Portland, I went to this diner down there, it was an awesome place… the food was fantastic… I would go in every couple of nights on my way in from the docks. At the time, I was working as a tour guide… I drove the boats and people paid me big bucks to show them the water. Anyway, one night I stopped in to get me some grub, it was way past midnight, almost closing time. There was no one in there but me. So, I'm eating me food and I see this cute little blonde thing with hideously large, black glasses on. She wiped down all the tables but mine and then mopped the floor. I knew right off that she was far too young to be working at this joint but I wasn't going to say anything." He paused, taking another long drink. "So for about a week after that, I came back every night and finally we got to talking. I bought her dinner and she told me about how she was living in a shitty hole above the diner and she worked for a little bit of nothing so that she could live up there. After a few more nights and the green light from my lass, I invited Emma to come live on my boat with Tee, Smee and myself… I taught her to cook. She stayed with us for a good long while…. We became really close."
"So you just took in a girl off the street?" Robin asked.
"Well, yea. You have-ta put your faith somewhere, Mate. Why not in someone who needs your help?"
"I think that it was fantastic of you." Robin smiled. "So this Tee?"
"Tee is my lass, my girl friend… we are practically married… been together for years."
"Where is she?"
"She has a fancy job in the big city."
"Well, I'm sorry to hear that."
"Na. She enjoys it up there." Killian laid his empty bottle down, stood up and got himself another. "Anyone need a refill?"
Emma held up her empty bottle, swapping it for another. Jefferson too, held up his bottle.
"You should probably stop flirting with him, Robin. You don't want him to punch you." Regina laughed, nudging her husband.
"I wasn't-" Robin protested.
"Hey, it's fine." Killian chuckled. "I love being hit on by gay guys. It's such an ego boost."
Emma looked over at the man, her face; skeptical. "What?"
"I mean look at it like this; I could have any lass I wanted," he said, spreading his arms wide. "but men, that is another story, they see beauty differently that women do."
"So you just want the whole general population to be attracted to you." Emma droned.
"Indeed."
"That is probably the weirdest shit I have ever heard in my life." Ruby laughed from across the pit.
Jefferson scoffed. "Says the one who has full conversations with a dog."
The woman shot him a look that dared him to say something else.
"Just saying." Jefferson shrugged.
Regina was more than half way through her wine. A smile had permanently etched itself onto her lips. "You want to know what I find interesting?"
Everyone looked in her direction.
"A month ago, I would have never guessed that I would be sharing alcohol around a fire in my own yard with anyone… let alone, you bunch."
"Yea well, a month ago, Emma was too big of a pussy to tell you how she felt." Ruby added.
"And yet, here we are." Killian said, holding up his drink.
Jefferson held his bottle out in front of him. "With the one's we love." He smiled over at the woman by his side.
"One, big, twisted ass family." Emma called out, launching her beer into the air, a little too enthusiastically
Robin looked over at his wife. He smiled at her as he slowly brought his wine glass up to mimic the others. "To family."
"To love." Regina said, raising her giant bottle in front of her. She leaned over and kissed Emma gently on the mouth, not caring who saw.
The group broke out in calls of happiness as they clanked their drinks together. When Emma pulled out of their kiss, her eyes met the dark blue eyes of Killian. He smiled and nodded to her in approval. "To love." She whispered before kissing Regina once more.

A few hours had past and the fire had finally died, sending everyone into the house. Ruby and Jefferson cuddled up on the sofa while Robin led Killian into the basement. Regina filled the coffee pot with water and leaned, unsteadily against the counter top. "Do you have enough blankets?"
"Um, yea. I think we are fine." Ruby called back.
"Do you want coffee?"
Ruby looked over at Jefferson who was shaking his head. "I think we are just going to go to sleep. Thanks though."
"Alright then." Regina said while pulling a glass from the cabinet. "I'll just get it ready for the morning then. When do you two need to be up?"
"Aw shit." Ruby mumbled, rubbing her face. "Tomorrow is Monday."
"And I let you hoodlums peer pressure me into drinking on a school night." Regina called back, jokingly.
"Nope." Jefferson turned on the sofa, looking into the kitchen. "Classes are cancelled tomorrow… the power outage fucked up the university grid so, they still don't have power."
Emma stood at the kitchen table and stared at him sideways. "How would you know that?"
"I got the email." He said, shaking his phone at her.
"Oh. Cool. No school for me." Emma smiled, sinking into a chair.
"Well, guess who won't be setting an alarm." Regina sang, pouring water into her glass.
"Any of us." Ruby laughed, laying her head down on Jefferson's shoulder.
"In that case," she whispered, setting her glass down gently on the counter. "I think we should go to bed."
Emma lifted a brow at the tone of Regina's voice. "To bed or to sleep?"
"I guess you will just have to hurry upstairs and see." She purred, leaning back against the counter, less than gracefully.
"Oh really?" Emma laughed, pulling at the edge of the tighter-than-necessary shorts that Regina had given her to wear.
"Yes, really my dear."
"Can you two do that somewhere else, please?" Ruby whined, having heard what was going on. "I mean, I know that this is your house and all but damn."
"Miss Lucas, would you like to sleep in the backyard?" Regina growled, standing up straight. "Because that can most certainly be arranged."
"Um… no. Thanks for the offer though."
"Don't push your luck, pup. I will not always be so nice about it. You are in MY house."
Ruby turned to look the older woman in the face. "Pup?"
"Oliver dreams about you being a werewolf." Emma cut in.
"Well, that's awkward." Jefferson laughed.
"No, what is going to be awkward is when I-" Regina took a step toward the couch.
"All right, all right." Emma caught the woman by her arm and pulled her in the direction of the hallway. "Let's go, grumpy. Night guys."
"Good night." Ruby and Jefferson called back in unison as Emma drug her woman away without incident.
#
"What was all that about?" Emma asked, round on Regina, once they were safely inside their bedroom.
"I was just playing, Emma." The brunette smiled, taking a step in Emma's direction.
"Like I believe that." She said, stepping back.
Regina pushed her bottom lip forward, "but I was," she whined playfully, taking another step forward.
Emma rested her hands on her hips, taking another step back. "I just don't think I believe that," she said, holding back a smile.
"But Emma, why would I ever be mean to anyone?" She batted her lids, taking yet another step forward.
"Well I don't know, maybe because you don't like them?" Her smile broke as she took half a step back before toppling onto the bed.
The brunette cocked an eyebrow as a smirk formed on her lips. "Well now, look who has the upper hand." Her words falling like silk on Emma's ears.
"I… uh." Emma shivered, Regina's voice still dancing in her head.
The blonde pulled herself up to lean back on her elbows. She watched as her lover began slowly creeping towards the bed. There was a soft thud as Regina kicked her shoes off. Her fingers digging at the blanket at either side of the wide eyed blonde, as she began crawling onto the mattress.
Slowly, the brunette came to straddle the woman. Her knees and palms pressed firmly into the bed, pinning Emma in place. Supporting the majority of her weight on her hands, Regina lowered her face, inches from the pale lips below her. "I believe I owe you something, Miss Swan."
Emma cringed lightly at the sound of her title. She really did hate being called that, especially now. She would have complained about it, had it not been for the brunette's breath on her lips. Emma closed her eyes, she could feel her heart hammering away inside her chest as the heat from Regina's body began creeping onto her skin. Opening her mouth to speak, Emma could say nothing. She pulled in a shaking breath and tried again. "And wha-" she squeaked before opting to clear her throat. "What would that be?" she whispered, her eyes now transfixed on the faded red lips hovering over her.
"Oh," Regina smiled, running a gentle finger down the blonde's lips. "I think you know."
That little contact sent a bolt of heat right down the blonde's body. She slowly lifted her back off the mattress in an attempt to press her front against the brunettes.
The same tan finger than brushed the blonde's lips traveled down her creamy neck, her chest, and came to rest on her stomach. Regina pushed the woman's body back to the bed. "I see you are catching on."
Sliding back down the blonde's body, to kneel at her feet; Regina unlaced Emma's shoes, letting them fall to the floor. "I could have got those." Emma mumbled, her body pressed firmly into the bed as if the anticipation itself was holding her in place.
"I am quite capable."
The blonde stared at the darkened ceiling. "I mean I know that you are capable, I just-"
Regina slid the woman's bottoms off gracefully, only half losing her balance.
"could have got them." Emma laughed, as the brunette fell forward on top of her.
"Yes, well," Regina sat up on the blonde's hips and ran a hand through her own dark hair, flipping it out from in front of her face. "Then what would I do with my time?" she asked, smiling down at her lover.
"Oh, I'm sure you would think of something." Emma smiled, reaching up to gently wipe away a stray strand of hair, tucking it neatly behind the brunette's ear.
Regina caught the woman's hand as it retreated, slowly pressing the pale flesh to her lips. "I have no doubt." She said, locking eyes with the woman and letting her hand fall.
Emma ran her hands up and down the brunette's upper body. As her finger's stretched over the woman's chest, Regina took a deep breath. She pushed her shoulders back and her chest forward; wordlessly demanding more pressure. Emma groped the woman's breasts mercilessly before turning her attention to the obviously pert nipples standing under her bra. For a moment, the blonde circled her fingers over the protruding beads, pulling a sigh from the brunette. Sliding her hands down to the bottom of Regina's shirt, Emma gave one calculated tug; up and to the left. The silk blouse unbuttoned itself all the way up to Regina's collar. Smiling proudly, Emma sat up and pushed the fabric from the woman's shoulders. "I have wanted to try that-there move out forever now." Emma smiled.
"Well, I will say," Regina leaned backwards, resting her palms on the blonde's thighs. "I am quite impressed."
Satisfied, the blonde ran her fingers back to the woman's chest, running her thumbs across her now completely exposed nipples. After a moan from the brunette, Emma lowered her mouth to replace a hand. She ran her hot tongue across the area before taking the pebble between her teeth.
"Shit." Regina gasped, smashing her hand into the back of Emma's skull; pushing the blonde's face further into her bosom. A wave of heat washed over her body, pooling in her core.
Emma smiled into tan flesh. "How much did you drink?" she mumbled, mouth full of tit.
"Enough to only have feeling in one particular part of my body… but not enough to let you take control." She sighed, pushing the blonde back.
When forced away, Emma let her weight crash down on the mattress. "Oh no Professor, what are you going to do to me?" She joked in a high pitched voice.
"Ick." Regina rolled her eyes. "Can you not make this awkward? If you ruin this moment…" she warned.
"You'll what? Spank me?" Emma arched a brow.
"You would enjoy that far too much, dear."
Putting all her weight on one knee, Regina slid her leg between the blonde's thighs. "And it wouldn't be a punishment then, would it?" She hissed, shoving her thigh up to rest against Emma's heat.
"Oh," gasped the blonde, taken off guard. "I always heard you were a freak."
"Is that what you want?" she asked, kissing Emma's hip.
"What?"
"Is that what you want?" her breath was hot on light skin.
Emma shook her head, trying to focus. "Is what, what I want?"
"A freak." She growled, running her teeth lightly over Emma's skin.
"Well, I mean," she moaned, elevating her hips. "I just want you."
Regina brushed her thigh against the blonde's core while bringing her lips up to skin on the woman's ribs. "Good answer."
Emma managed to choke out a "thanks" before her breath caught in her lungs. Her fingertips wove into dark hair, slowly, in an attempt to keep calm.
The brunette moved her way up her lover's body, planting hot, wet kisses everywhere she went and leaving goose pimpled skin in her wake. Making her way to the blonde's collarbone, Regina nipped at the skin. She pulled the tiniest bit of flesh between her teeth and held it there for a moment before releasing it.
Emma, rapidly losing control, began slowly moving her hips up and then down; running her heat against a dark thigh. She could feel the moisture building on Regina's leg with every pass of her own body. The thought of her own juices coving her lover's skin made her breathing quicken.
"Are you in a hurry, darling?" Regina smiled between short kisses.
There was no answer from the blonde, she instead pushed her body down roughly against the woman's thigh. Regina's smile grew wider as she walked her fingers playfully down Emma's body.
"I'll take that as a yes," she whispered before taking Emma's lips between her own.
Emma was on fire. As their kiss deepened, the blonde bent her knees up, digging her heels into the bed. Her hands pulled at Regina's body, smashing their chests together. As a tan hand gripped at her left breast, Emma inadvertently pulled out of their kiss. "Please," she moaned, lulling her head back.
Wordlessly, the brunette ran the tip of her tongue down Emma's neck. Her free hand moving slowly down to the woman's thigh, Regina could feel the blonde pull in a choppy breath. For a minute, she considered teasing her lover, making her beg for what she needed… but the thought quickly passed as a strong hand suddenly gripped her wrist and forced her hand between the blonde's muscular legs.
"Well." Regina giggled as the blonde's hand retreated up the bed. "that is a first."
Planting the palm of her hand firmly against Emma's sex, Regina dipped a finger between the folds. A low moan rumbled in her chest as the blonde's juices found her skin. "look at you, dripping and awaiting my pleasures."
Emma pushed her shoulders against the bed, bringing her hips up further. When she felt her lover circling around her entrance, she pushed herself down, forcing Regina into her body.
Head dizzy, the brunette leaned forward, pressing her body against Emma's body. Slowly she began pushing herself deeper into the blonde. It didn't take long before long grumbling cries spewed from pale lips.
Regina slowed her pace. Under her, the blonde rocked and bucked, taking herself closer to completion. "Easy killer." Regina chuckled, slowing to almost nonexistence.
A half pained moan poured from Emma as she sat up, filling her palms with tan skin. She pulled the brunette on top of her fully and stifled the woman's protest when she smashed her mouth onto dark, full lips. The collision had Regina seeing stars. For a short moment, she was confused as to what she was even doing. The whirling in her head stopped the second she realized that there was a hasty, lust fueled tongue trespassing in her mouth.
Silently, the brunette pushed her weight onto her toes, making room for her now crazed assault on the blonde's core. Mercilessly she pumped a timeless rhythm, her arm quickly going numb in the frenzy. Pain shot through her body as Emma's teeth penetrated her lip.
Her mind blank, Regina began pulling almost completely out of her lover before thrusting back in as the blonde's walls tightened around her hand.
"Jesus." Emma hissed, releasing the brunette's lip from her teeth.
"Nope," she couldn't stop herself. "Regina will do." She laughed, plowing deep inside the woman, one final time, holding herself in place with all the half drunken strength she could muster.
The blonde's body lifted from the mattress as her body began shaking uncontrollably. "Sweet, fucking Jesus." She sighed, falling back to the bed.
Smiling, the brunette sat up and brushed the hair from her face. "Well… that didn't take long."
"Oh shut up." Emma laughed, chucking a pillow at the woman.
The plushy missile bounced off of the side of Regina's head, knocking her off balance and right off the end of the bed.
"Well shit." Emma mumbled, crawling down the mattress to peek over the edge. Her eyes landed on the crumbled heap of a woman laying in the floor. Noticing that her lover wasn't moving, Emma's heart started to race. "Hey, are you okay?"
Nothing.
"Regina?" Emma snapped, sliding into the floor. Slowly she began pushing on the woman's side, nudging her. There was still no movement from the brunette. "Son of a bitch," huffed the blonde. "Regina!" She called a little louder, her voice obviously panicked.
When there was no movement from the woman, Emma placed a shaking hand on Regina's chest. Instantly, a form of relief washed over her body. The soft thudding of the brunette's heart against her palm let her know that she had not killed the woman. Looking around, Emma could see nothing that Regina could have hit on her way down. "Regina?" She tapped a finger on the woman's forehead and stared silently for a moment.
"Great," Emma sighed, sitting back on her heels. Running a hand backwards through her hair, she stared at the unconscious woman a little longer. "I guess I'll go get Robin."
Standing up, Emma realized that she was completely naked. She grumbled a swear under her breath before searching around for her clothes, any of her clothes, but she found nothing. "Seriously?" she whined, tossing blankets around. "How do I lose a whole outfit in one room?!"
She turned her attention to the sliver of light coming from under the bathroom door. She silently made her way into the room, looking for any wayward articles of clothing. When there was none to be found, she sighed and leaned against the wall, her eyes landing on the towel rack. "Fuck it, Yolo," she whispered, tearing a deep red towel from its pole and wrapping it around her body. She looked down, checked for openings and then darted from the room leaving her topless lover sprawled out in the floor.
#
"Shit shit shit." Emma mumbled, looking around. She just realized that she didn't know how to get to Robin's part of the house. She stood in the hall, clutching her towel for dear life. "Okay," she whispered to herself. "That room is the boys, that one is the study…" she turned looking at a dark wooden door. "Of course his door would be mahogany… to keep in the sounds." She shook her head and pulled the door open.
For a second, she stared down the wooden stairs. There was obviously a light on, she could see the glow but she wasn't sure if she wanted to go down them. Sucking in a chest full of air, she took her first step. "Robin?" She called.
She took another step and paused, listening hard. There was no reply. "Killian?" she called a little louder.
Something was moving. She could hear rustling in the distance. She took another step.
Out of nowhere, Robin appeared at the bottom of the stairs. He was clad in nothing but a pair of brown and yellow plaid boxer shorts. It took Emma a second to register what she was looking at.
"Emma?" Robin asked, bring his hands to rest on his hips.
That gesture pulled Emma to reality. "You look super gay when you stand like that," she noted. "Also, I think I knocked Regina out."
Robin's eyes flicked back and forth over Emma's legs, from where he stood he could almost see the prize. At the mention of Regina, he shook his head. "You did what?"
"Well, she… I … um."
Robin started up the stairs. "I don't even want to know."
"No, no, I didn't choke her out or anything… I hit her with a pillow." Emma said quietly.
"You knocked her out with a pillow?"
"No…" Emma frowned and closed her eyes. "I hit her with a pillow and knocked her off the bed… she's in the floor."
"Good god." Robin laughed, patting Emma on the shoulder. "Let's go see how bad the damage is, I suppose."
As they made their way into the bedroom, it became very clear what they had been doing prior to the knock out pitch. Robin scanned over his wife's mostly naked body and shook his head. "I can tell you right now, she is fine."
"How do you know that? You are like a mile away from her."
"Well, I can see that she is breathing and I can smell the alcohol on her breath from here." He took a step toward the sleeping woman. "Regina hardly ever really drinks."
"Well that's nice to know." Emma rubbed her neck with one hand, fighting to keep her towel on with the other. "So, now what?"
Robin bent down and pulled his wife's limp body to his chest. Lifting her up, he stepped around to her side of the bed and gently set her down. "So, now we let her drunken ass sleep." He laughed, turning to the visibly aggravated blonde. "Why such the long face, princess? Did you not get yours before you clobbered her?"
"I got mine." She mumbled, pulling her towel a little tighter. "I think I'm ready for that coffee."
"Sobering experiences are the worst."
Emma turned to exit the room. In the doorway, Killian's sleepy face met hers. "What the bloody hell happened here?"
"Emma knocked her out." Robin smiled, pushing the blonde out the door.
"I hit her with a pillow, she fell off the bed… If you are going to blame anyone, blame the pillow maker." Emma grumbled, tiptoeing down the steps and into the long hallway.
"Well," Killian started, "your woman has a great set of…" his voice trailed off when both Emma and Robin spun around and glared at him.
"If she knew that you saw that particular set, she would have you murdered, pirate." Robin hummed. He opened his door and started down his stairs. "I'll be back with some clothes for you, Emma."
Killian looked over at the blonde, his brows contorted in confusion. "Pirate?"
"You're all about the booty? How should I know?" She laughed.
"Oliver did the same thing yesterday."
"What thing?"
"Called me a bloody pirate."
"Well, you did live on a boat…"
'Your logic, Swan, it sucks."
"I mean think about it, you lived on a boat, you wear leather like it's going out of style, your hair is a mess, you hardly ever actually shave…"
"Quite enough, Swan… I get it, thank you.
As Emma became quiet, Robin launched clothing up the steps. The fabric wrapped around Emma's head, the surprise of it all caused her to drop her towel. As she jerked the shirt off of her head, she saw that Killian had turn completely around and was glaring down the stairs. She could see that he was bulled up and ready to fight.
"Easy Killi, it's all in good fun." Emma said, pulling her towel back up.
"I figured I would see if I could do to her what she did to Regina, is all." Robin laughed awkwardly, secretly sizing the man up.
"No one fucks with Swan but me, Mate."
"Got it." Robin smiled, handing Emma a pair of ball shorts. "Apologies, m'lady."
"Shut up." Emma huffed, stepping into the shorts. "both of you. I know you were just playing," she said, pulling the fabric up to her hips and dropping the towel.
Instantly, both men averted their eyes. "And Killi, I really can take care of myself, thank you." She pulled the shirt on and crossed her arms over her chest. "You can turn around."
"How about that coffee?" Robin smiled, moving past Emma and down the hall.
"So… Is Mills hot in bed or what?" Killian whispered, nudging Emma's arm as they walked down the hall.
"Shut you face, Killian."
"Oh come on, Luv. I'm only fussing with you," he smiled, walking out into the kitchen. "holy hell, is it really five in the morning?" he glared at the clock on the coffee pot.
"Shut up, you dick," Ruby snapped from the couch. "People are trying to sleep.
"Well, well, someone didn't get their beauty sleep." Killian laughed, sitting down heavily in one of the many wooden chairs situated around the kitchen table.
"Yea, no, because some asshole started screaming as he walked into where I am trying to sleep." The young brunette sat up to look her offender in the face.
"Blame the princess; this is her fault, not mine."
Emma shot him a silencing glare from across the room. "can we not?"
"What's goin on?" Ruby asked, looking between her friends. She could read both of their faces with ease. Obviously Killian had some sticky information that Emma didn't want voiced.
As the blonde continued to stare at the man and shake her head, his smile widened; he was clearly about to break the news.
Robin handed Emma a mug of coffee before he met Ruby's curious gaze. "Emma knocked Regina out, would you like some coffee?" he smiled, holding up a glass.
Emma rolled her eyes as Killian started to laugh, Ruby staring wide eyed at the blonde. "You knocked her out? Like punched her?"
"Thanks a lot Robin. No, I threw a pillow at her and she fell off the bed. Apparently she was, or is, pretty shit-faced." Emma slid into an empty chair and quickly brought the hot cup in her palms to her lips.
"Right." Ruby chuckled. "You just stick to that story."
Glaring from over the rim of her mug, Emma remained silent, pretending to sip on the lava she was holding.
After a good while of collective silence, Robin started down the hall. "It's about time for the boys to be getting up," he called back, over his shoulder.
Lazily, Emma slid her mug down and sighed.
"What's your problem?" Killian asked with high brows.
"I'd rather not put Regina's kids on the bus, I think I'm going to go back up and lay down." She looked over at Ruby who was half hanging over the back of the sofa. "Where is Jefferson?"
"Baby Mama called like twenty minutes ago. I have no idea, he just said he would be back."
"Who is Baby Mama anyway?" Emma asked, standing up.
"No clue, he never calls her by name, it's weird really."
"I'll say." Killian snorted. "How are you going to have a child by a woman and never use her name?"
Emma stretched her arms out to each side of her body, "What does he call her than?"
"Just Grace's mom." Ruby mumbled.
"Weird, yea, we should look into that." Emma laughed, starting down the hall. "I'm going back to bed."
Emma left her friends sitting in the living room. As she climbed the stairs she could hear them chatting softly behind her. Every step felt like a mile, the adrenaline was quickly leaving her body as the anticipation of the nice warm bed ahead of her filled her mind. As the voices behind her faded to a murmur, Emma rounded the hallway and stared at the bed room door. With a smiled etched on her features, she slipped inside.
The room was pitch black. As she let her eyes adjust, the blonde teetered my the door and stared at what she assumed was her lover curled in the bed. She could hear the woman snoring slightly and it only made her smile grow. Within a few seconds, Emma could see well enough to crawl onto the cushy mattress and under the comforter. As the blonde's body began sinking into the bed, Regina started to stir at her side. The brunette turned over and buried her face in Emma's neck before letting a soft mumble of comfort. Emma threw her arm around her lover and closed her eyes.
