It had been about two weeks since Santana had spoken to Quinn and in that time it had been insanely hard for the both of them, Santana especially. She couldn't deal with speaking to Quinn let alone awkwardly running in to her in the school corridor so she did the only thing she could think of and just avoided school all together.

"Santana Maria Lopez!" Santana did not like the sound of her mother's tone and she especially didn't like the sight of her mom storming into her room. She had a feeling she knew what this was about.

"Mom?"

"Did you think I wouldn't find out? Do you really think you could get away with this?" Her mother asked in a demanding tone.

"About what?" Santana replied, even though she knew that her mom was talking about how she was missing school.

"You've not been to school in two weeks Santana! I know that you have things going on with Quinn but it is no reason to cut class because of it" Maribel sat down on the bed next to her daughter.

Santana sighed, she knew her mother was right but she really didn't want to face Quinn, the last talk they had was hard enough.

"Don't waste your education Santana" Maribel said in a softer tone than the one she came storming in the room with as she saw how her daughter was reacting.

"I'm sorry Mami" Santana apologised, she knew that she couldn't keep skipping school forever but it was just her way of putting off an inevitable conversation with Quinn.

"Now, when are you going to fix things with Quinn?" her mom asked.

"Mom" Santana groaned, she really didn't want to talk about Quinn and much less with her mother.

"I know you don't want to talk about it but I can see how much you love that girl and I can see how much she loves you. Don't let a silly thing get in the way of something good"

"She purposely set out to break my heart mom, how could you want me to be with someone like that?"

"I know that it started that way but I saw the way she looked at you. Everyone makes mistakes Santana. Quinn made hers and now you're making yours by not forgiving her. I want to see you happy again"

Santana took in the words her mom said and she really wished that she could just forgive Quinn and pretend like none of it ever happened but she just couldn't, at least not yet.

For now she would focus on how she was going to cope with going to school and seeing Quinn there and also how she was going to cope with sitting right next to Quinn in Spanish class.

Santana hated to admit it but she was incredibly nervous, she was about to walk into Spanish class and that meant she would have to sit next to Quinn for an entire hour.

She took a deep breath and put on her confident face, she wanted people to believe that she was still the same old Santana who didn't give a shit about anything, but on the inside that was the complete opposite.

She took those final few steps until she was at the door, she pushed it open and walked in the room.

Once she walked in she was welcomed with complete silence and every set of eyes in the room was on her in that moment. However, she wasn't concerned with any of the people staring at her apart from one, once she walked in the room her eyes instantly went to the back of the room where the blonde, hazel eyed beauty was staring deeply at her.

She tore her eyes away from Quinn and started walking towards her seat next to Quinn. Once she sat down she took another deep breath, thankful that all eyes had returned to the front, all apart from one.

"Santana" hearing that voice again caused Santana to shut her eyes tightly.

Santana turned her head to look at the blonde next to her, she had to physically stop herself from leaning forward and connect her lips to Quinn's, the lips which she hadn't felt in so long.

"Hi" she said softly.

"You've not been at school for a while" Quinn stated.

"Yeah, I um just needed some time I guess" Santana replied.

"I've missed you" Quinn confessed.

"Quinn" Santana sighed, she couldn't hear Quinn say things like that because it hurt too much.

"I'm sorry I just, I've really missed you." Quinn turned her body towards Santana, "I know I made a mistake San, and I really regret that but I love you Santana, I love you so much. Please can we just forget all about it and be together again, I really…."

"Quinn, Santana, no talking" Mr schue said from the front of the class.

Quinn sighed, she had so much to say to Santana and now that Santana was actually next to her she wanted to do it now but this obviously was not the perfect place to do so.

"Are you going to the party on Friday night?" Santana whispered to her.

"I wasn't going to, why? Are you?" Quinn replied, going to a party wasn't really on her list of things to do when she felt this bad.

"Yeah, I am"

"Oh, then maybe I will. If that's alright with you?"

Santana turned her head towards the blonde and replied after a moment, "That's alright with me, we can talk there"

"Okay" a small smile found its way on Quinn's face.

This was good progress for her and that made her happy.

Friday night came around pretty fast and to say Quinn was nervous for tonight and her talk with Santana was a complete understatement.

She had chosen to dress up for tonight and wear the black dress she knew Santana absolutely loved.

She arrived to the party at around nine, knowing that Santana would most likely not be there yet, she wanted to get a little bit of liquid courage in her before Santana arrived.

She walked in the kitchen and was instantly handed a cup of… well she didn't really know what it was but she wasn't complaining, it didn't taste bad and because of that she had a few more cups after that one.

By half ten Quinn was completely wasted, whatever was in that drink was very strong and had a big effect on her. She moved to sit on the sofa because she pretty much could not stand up at this moment.

"Santana, puck" Quinn heard greetings from the front door.

She looked over and saw the brunette walk through the door, as she did so a smile instantly arrived on her face.

Quinn made a move to stand up and walk over to Santana, however that plan didn't go so well because she completely lost her footing and was just about to fall over. Luckily for her, arms instantly wrapped around her waist steadying her feet. She looked up to see who her saviour was and as she saw Santana's brown eyes she was lost, Santana moving from the door to catch up and save her from what would be a very embarrassing fall just made Quinn fall even more in love with her, if that was even possible.

Because it was Santana, Quinn couldn't stop herself from wrapping her arms around Santana's neck.

"You should probably sit down" Santana said to her, her hands still placed on Quinn's waist. Her eyes however began to trail down Quinn's body.

Curse Quinn for wearing this dress, it highlighted Quinn's body in a perfect way. Santana knew that she wouldn't be able to keep her eyes off Quinn for the entire night and she didn't know if that was a good or bad thing.

"Okay" Quinn breathed out as Santana led them both to the sofa. She placed Quinn down on the sofa and she remained standing up.

"I'm just gonna go get you some water real quick, I'll be right back alright?"

Quinn nodded at Santana, remaining eye contact with her as she spoke and when Santana walked off Quinn watched her go.

"Hey Quinn" Quinn felt the couch dip next to her, she turned her head to see who the voice came from.

She saw that it came from a guy called Jack Collins, he was on the football team.

"Hey" she replied back, looking around the room to see if Santana was coming back.

"So, now that you and Santana are no longer together I was thinking we could do something some time, you know, have some fun" he winked at her as he placed his hand on her thigh.

"I'm not interested" Quinn responded, she was drunk but she wasn't drunk enough to know what he just said and what he said Quinn had absolutely no interest in. She also removed his hand from her thigh because the only person she wanted touching her was Santana.

However, Jack quickly placed his hand back on Quinn's thigh and even higher up this time.

"Get off me" Quinn tried to remove his hand once again but unfortunately this time he stayed persistent.

"Come on Quinn, I know I can show you a good time" he leaned in closer to her.

"Please stop" she squirmed away.

Before anything else could happen Jack was suddenly lifted off the couch by the shirt by Santana. Seeing his hands on Quinn caused Santana to see red, especially when she saw Quinn trying to push him away, that was not okay.

"Don't you ever fucking touch her again. If I ever see you around her again I will personally make sure you don't live to see the next day. Now get the fuck out of here" she pushed him away causing him to fall to the floor, however he didn't stay there long. Within a few seconds he was up and out of the door, it was pretty well known around the school and lima that you don't want to piss Santana off.

Once he was gone Santana reached down and grabbed Quinn's hand to help her up and since Quinn was still a bit unsteady on her feet Santana placed her hands around Quinn's waist and Quinn placed her arms around Santana's neck.

"Are you okay?" Santana asked.

"I am now"

"Come on, I'll take you home" Santana told her.

Santana and Quinn walked out of the door, Santana still helping Quinn walk because she was still very drunk. Santana helped Quinn in her car and then walked around to get in herself.

It didn't take long for them to get back to Quinn's house but it was long enough that Quinn had fallen asleep.

Santana parked up and turned off the engine and then turned towards the sleeping blonde.

"Quinn" she gently nudged the girl next to her but got no response.

"Q" she tried again and this time Quinn stirred a bit and slowly opened her eyes. "Come on, let's get you inside"

Santana managed to get her out of the car and into the house, thankfully for Santana Quinn's parents were asleep so she didn't have to deal with them and their questions. She brought Quinn up to her room and sat her on the bed whilst she got out a t-shirt and a pair of shorts for the blonde.

"Alight Q, sit up for me" Santana unzipped Quinn's dress and got that off her first, Santana didn't miss how the blonde was not wearing a bra, she had to force herself not to look down because then she would have been a goner.

"Lift up your arms babe" the word slipped out from Santana's mouth. Instead of over thinking that she just placed the t-shirt over Quinn's head and then pushed it down her body. She then pushed the shorts up Quinn's legs and once she was finally dressed Santana moved her back so that she was lying underneath the covers.

"Alright then, goodnight Quinn" Santana started to make her move to leave but when she felt a hand grip around her wrist she stopped.

"Stay" a soft voice enveloped the room and by hearing that Santana had no power in her to say no.

She turned around to see Quinn's hazel eyes staring deeply at her. Santana literally had no power in her to resist the blonde.

"Okay" Santana agreed.

She removed her jacket and shoes and then got underneath the covers next to Quinn.

They both lay on their sides facing each other, neither of them not knowing what to do or if anyone was going to make the first move. Santana decided that since she was already in the bed that she may as well wrap her arms around Quinn, her arms went around Quinn's waist and once Quinn saw that Santana had done this her arms instantly went around Santana's.

"Thank you for helping me tonight" Quinn said. "You didn't have to do that"

"I did"

"Can we have that talk now?" Quinn asked softly.

"Quinn, you're drunk"

"Please San, plus I'm not that drunk anymore, not after what happened at the party" Quinn said referring to what happened with Jack.

"Okay, we can talk"

Quinn didn't really know where to start but what she did know was that she wanted to tell Santana how much she meant to her.

"I love you Santana, I am so in love with you and I really really regret what I did. I was new here and I didn't know what I was getting myself into, please San I'm begging you, can we please start again?" Quinn pleaded.

After a moments thought Santana was ready to reply, "We can try again, but I think we should take things slow"

A big grin arrived on Quinn's face upon hearing this, "Really?"

"Really" Santana smiled, she couldn't fight the love she had for Quinn anymore. "I love you Quinn"

"I love you too"
