We're at the homestretch now, time for the final three chapters.
Chapter 28: Brandyn wakes up in another windowless room, only this time he's in Nerv Headquarters. He mulls about the fact that he still has to take out Kaworu but can't do anything here. Suddenly someone he wasn't expecting to see comes into the room. Gendo walks up to him and without warning punches him in the face. Gendo then proceeds to ask what more Brandyn knows, clearly he knows something if he targeted Rei. Brandyn plays coy and gets pinned up to a wall for his troubles. It's easy to forget that Gendo has been in many a says that he can't tell Gendo everything he knows but he does say that Kaworu and possibly Shinji will be breaking into Nerv to initiate third impact any minute now. Gendo doesn't seem too surprised about Kaworu's involvement but mentioning Shinji seems to have shocked him a bit. Just then an alarm blares throughout the base. Brandyn asks what it means and Gendo says that it means that someone had infiltrated the bottom floor of the base, where Lilith is kept. Misato suddenly contacts Gendo via a radio and says that Eva Units 01 and 06 are missing and that she has already sent Asuka in Unit 02 to intercept. Gendo mulls it over before telling Brandyn that he has permission to pilot Unit 05. Brandyn obliges and starts running toward the Eva hanger, while hearing bits and peices of the battle below. By the time he gets into Unit-05 he hears Asuka yelling for Shinji to stop and shortly afterwards dead silence. After the Eva is prepped for battle Brandyn decides that he doesn't have time to take the long way down and decides to just punch the ground, breaking up the floor beneath him and allowing him to fall down to the lowest level.
There's a reason I only uploaded one chapter synopsis this time, trust me. The next update will be in a day or two, I already have it done I just want to take a bit to make any corrections and put the finishing touches on it.
