"Clean up continues after the devastating fight between two entities. Reports claim that the fight broke out in front of the Sand Shore apartment complex breaking several windows. According to eyewitnesses the Metal Man and an unknown female entity flew to downtown Amity Park where the fight escalated. An estimated 4.6 million dollar worth of damage was done to buildings and streets, but luckily there were no injuries. Experts say that during the fight the town hit an all new EMP reading. We will inform you as more information comes in. This is Harriet Chinn in downtown Amity Park Tiffiny back to yo-"
The television screen abruptly cut off, revealing a room with a large oval table that a mixture of men and women sat at. Some were sifting through papers, others were still staring at the now blank screen and a few were staring at the woman who was sitting at the head of the table holding a remote pointed at the tv.
With a shift of her eyes she signaled to the man that was currently nervously fidgeting with his tie to start his report. With one final gulp the man stood up shakily, silently damning his superior for being sick on this one day, and began to speak.
"This news recording was taken two weeks ago the day after what has been named Mission Hemlock. At sixteen-hundred and fifteen hours we received many calls regarding a fight between two entities. At sixteen-hundred and twenty-five hours the California team was sent to detain the two. Code name Metal Man and code name Regina were their targets. At sixteen-hundred and forty-seven hours they engaged the female and..at.."
At this the man began to slow down grief over taking his features as he choked out.
"Sixteen-hundred..and fifty hours..the division was...destroyed"
A moment of silence followed as the people took the time to remember those who lost their lives that day. Due to government intervention they were able to keep the massacre a secret. But it still stung both their egos and hearts to lose an entire division to a faceless being.
The moment passed and with a wave of her hand another stood, this time a woman who, by judging her outward appearance, was much calmer and better prepared than her counterpart.
"Agent Elizabeth White head of ecto population and tracking" she introduced. With a slight nod from the commander she jumped into her report.
"Over the past two weeks since code named Mission Hemlock we have noticed something rather unusual with the spiritual population. The spiritual population does fluctuate everyday with new arrivals and others simply running out of energy and fading away. However these past two weeks something has happened to cause the population to shift quite noticeably. To put it into the least amount of words, something is causing spirits to disappear at an alarming rate"
Soft murmurs overtook the room as the information was revealed. With a pointed look from the Commander the room became silent once again and the woman began the next part of her report. Behind her the screen came back to life showing what appeared to be a thermal image, with a high concentration of dark blue in one area.
"As you can see on the screen while other areas have decreased one area has begun to swell, shown here in dark blue. According to our calculations there is about two-hundred spirits converging in the southwest area of the Ghost Zone. And the most alarming thing is that this number grows daily."
At this point Elizabeth turned and addressed the Commander directly, a forlorn look overtook her as she spoke her next sentence.
"Ma'am it's a army and the Ghost Zone is at war."
At this the room exploded into panic. Speculations were made about the possibility of the ghosts attacking the living world. Some were wondering who the leader was, names were thrown around including Metal Man, regina and even inviso-bill were spoken. And others were just plane panicking.
The Commander stood and banged her hand against the desk; yelling for order, but it was too late, the room had already fallen into hysteria. That is until the television suddenly changed and uttered a blaring beep.
At that moment the room went silent as everybody in the room quickly drew their guns and pointed it at the source of the noise. A mixture of anti-ecto and regular guns were trained on the tv, all except for the Commander who had taken her seat yet again.
Clearing her throat she gained the attention of the room and motioned for them to retake their seats. Slowly everybody concealed their weapons and sat back down, confusion hanged heavily in the air as they waited for the aged woman to explain.
Keeping her head forward she spoke for the first time.
"This", she said motioning to the tv, "is our new informant"
Again everybody's eyes were drawn to the television which now displayed a white background with a intricate black V in the middle.
"Hello I am V" a voice said, obviously modified due to the strange pitches.
"And as your Commander said I am your new informant"
At that a slightly pudgy graying man stood yelling and pointing at the tv saying.
"Ma'am how can we trust him, when he won't show his face OR give us his name!"
"Agent you will sit down this instance" the Commander replied
The man looked like he wanted to argue, but chose wisely against it.
"We will trust him" the Commander went on saying, "because he has already proven himself useful by providing us with very good specimens."
"Now we will continue" she finished giving a pointed look to the overweight man.
"This creature has been on my radar for sometime now ever since she killed many unidentified men in a back alley" V said
As he spoke a video replaced the V revealing what looks to be a security camera due to its location and grainy quality. Everyone watched in fascination as each man died ending with the camera being covered in blood, blocking the view.
"As you already know and can see this creature is extremely powerful. But that is not the worst part."
A hushed silence fell over the room all wait to hear V's next sentence.
"Through questioning of some captured spirits, I learned that on the winter solstice a Ghost Zone army will attack the living world with the epicenter being Amity Park. I offer you one of my residences to act as a center of command for the upcoming war. With that what will you do Commander?"
With that the screen shut off and the room was left in complete silence. Everybody's' minds were racing a mile a minute . 'A war with the Ghost Zone, how are we going to win'.
The internal monologues were cut off with the scraping of a chair against the hardwood floor. Their eyes flew to the Commander as she stood.
"Well ladies and Gentlemen, we have a war to prepare for"
