Sorry for the super short chapter but school is keeping me busy so the chapters may get shorter. Sorry again for the wait... Anyways here chapter 7 please tell me what you think and if I should continue. ~Kat

Amaya POV-

It had been almost a month since I meant Kakashi Hatake and I feel that we had become good friends. Between missions, hanging out with Kio, and helping my mom I went to visit Kakashi and go with him to Rin's and Obito's grave. Sometimes Kakashi would disappear and I could only assume he was on missions I wish he would leave a note but whatever it's not like I'm his babysitter.

My mom is excuse of a ninja's duty when she fell ill of some sickness. The doctors don't know what it is and for my father he's back to the front lines. Some days it would look like she was getting better others I would stay up all night checking her pulse. I've been doing research on it and found a medical ninja by the name of Tsunade. There was news that she had been able to care over thousands of sickness, poisons, and other deadly things. And other good news she would be visiting the Leaf today or tomorrow, but the bad thing was only for a day.

I give my mom some water and wait until she falls asleep before I go to visit the hokage. I was going to ask for him to let Tsunade stay a bit longer to help my mom. I walk into the building hoping he would have a second to spare to hear me out. The woman tells me his on lunch break and I could find him in his office. I nod and knock on his door.

"Come in." I hear the Fourth and Third say at the same time. I take a deep breath before opening the door.

The Third was eating at his desk and the Fourth was on a coach eating as well. I close the door behind me and walk to the middle of room.

"What is it my child?" The Third asks and looks up.

"I have a request." I said after clearing my throat.

"What is it?" Minato ask after swallowing he's food.

"It's about my mom…" I start and the Third cuts me off.

"Amaya we've done the best we can all we can do is wait." He says and Minato looks confused.

"What happened to your mom?" Minato asks looking worried.

"She's really sick so I was going to ask if…" I start but get cut off again.

"She's going to ask if Tsunade can take a look at her, I'm a right?" The Third says looking at Minato then me.

"Y-yes." I said looking at the floor.

"Sorry Amaya but Tsunade isn't coming back the Leaf any time soon." The Third says and goes back to eating.

"Then let me go find her." I said looking up at him, I have to do this.

"Amaya." The Fourth says before the Third raises his hand and cuts him off.

"No." He says.

"Why?" I ask taking a step forward, "I can't wait any longer." I said.

"With time I'm sure…" The Third starts but I cut him off.

"With time I'll just be watching my mother die in front of me!" I shout and cover my mouth so I don't say anything.

"Amaya I know how you feel but if you go on your own then you'll die." The Fourth says standing up.

"Then I'll take someone with me." I said trying to persuade them.

"And risk their lives for just one." The Third says.

"They don't have to go if they don't want to I'll go alone if I have to." I said, "And this isn't just one life this is my mom you're talking about." I said trying not to yell.

"Amaya…" The Fourth says putting his hand on my shoulder.

"Please…" I said, "Please give me a chance to save my mom." I beg bowing to the hokage.

"Fine but if you're not back in a week." The third said started.

"Thank you so much." I said running out of the room to tell team Fumio. I knew they would go but I have no idea where Tsunade is or how to find her.

While thinking to myself I ran into someone and fell on my butt, "Sorry." I quickly say and look up to see Kakashi reaching to the ground picking up his book.

"Amaya?" Kakashi said confused as he dusted off his book.

"Kakashi." I said happily but then wondered if I should tell him about my mission.

"What are you doing here, aren't you suppose to look after your mom?" Kakashi asked putting away his book.

"Ya about that I um…" I said thinking about what to say, "I'm leaving for a while." I said not meeting his eye.

"Huh? Why?" Kakashi asks putting away his book away.

"I have to do something." I say and wonder where Kio will be.

"A mission?" Kakashi said and I didn't want to lie to him but…

"Ya something like that." I said walking past him and poke his shoulder, "I'll be back soon I promise." I said and began to run to the ramen shop where I would think Kio would be.

"Amaya!" Team Fumio shouts and I smile happy that my whole team was here.

"Hey guys I need to…" I start but get cut off by Fumio.

"Minato already told us and we are leaving tomorrow morning." Fumio said swallowing his food whole.

"Really!?" I said surprised but happy I didn't have to explain everything. I sit by Kio and get beef ramen with water.

I make small talk with Kio and Fumio mostly when suddenly Ky spoke out,

"I heard the war is ending soon." He said quietly but loud enough to catch are attention.

"That's great!" Kio said patting Ky on the back he jumped a little then smiled as a blush started to show but Kio would never noticed it.

"I wonder if my parents will be release." Ky said sounding a bit joy by the thought.

I frown a little, 'I hope your right, Ky.' I keep my thoughts to myself so I don't bring him down, I smile, "I'm sure they will once this is all over." I said quietly.

Ky seemed happy after saying what he had to and went back to eating. Kio tried to take Ky's food and a small friendly fight broke between them with Kio winning. I smile and glance around to see Shinju on the floor sleeping peacefully. It started to get dark out so I decide to head home, "Bye guys." I wave to them after paying for my meal.

I walk home in the dark, 'Why does my street have no lights on?' I ask my self and start to get a bad feeling about this. I run the rest of the way home to see the door open and pull a kunai out. I slowly walk towards the door walking in quietly.

I could hear voices coming from my mom's bedroom; I turn my head into the room so I could see who was in there. I see two anbu with their mask and a familiar man. 'Dad? No way can't it be.'

"Dad?" I said and the two anbu turn around pointing kunai at me.

"Amaya? What are you doing here?" he asked sounding a bit panicked. The two anbu put the kunai away and walk over to my mom's side.

"What are you doing here!?" I ask stepping forward then saw one of the anbu pull out a needle with something in it. They inject the teal liquid into my mom's arm, "What are they doing!?" I said going to stop them but my dad pinned me against the closet door.

"Now, now lets not be hasty little Tanaka." My dad hissed as he's eyes turn into snake eyes.

"You're not my dad, who are you?" I ask trying to stay clam and pull the arm that held my neck to the closet door away but he was too strong.

He tighten his hold on my neck, "The name is Orochimaru and don't forget it." He hisses and I feel a sharp pain in my arm before passing out.

I stare at the grey stone with Kakashi, from that day on Kakashi went to Rin's and Obitio's grave everyday and I went with him when I wasn't on missions. I never told anyone about the night Orochimaru took my mother away besides the Hokage and a couple of anbu. I'm going to find that man and get my mom back and find my father.

Sometimes Kakashi would disappear and wouldn't come back from missions for an every long time. As for team Fumio we continued on missions, training, and getting ready for the chuunin exams that would come in two years from now. I have two years to get ready I know I'll become a chuunin and when I do I'll show everyone that I'm not weak. No more leaving it to others to protect me all the time, no more feeling sorry for my self, it's time I act like a true ninja.
