Hey guys! Just a little warning about Amaya's dream in this chapter...it's a little creeping. At least to me it was and what happens after the dream is a little creeping to. Tell me if it's too much because there's going to be more stuff like that in later chapters and I need to know if you guys are alright reading it. Anyways here's the next chapter. ~Kat
Amaya's POV-
Day One
"You're late!" Guy yelled at me and Kakashi as we both try to catch are breaths.
"Kakashi's…fault." I breathe out.
"We got…lost…" Kakashi lies.
I just nod and we wait for the teacher to show up. All three of us gathered together and watch the other students gather around too. I start get excited, 'I'm going to become chunin.' I smile to myself.
"People are going to think you're weird if you keep smiling to your self." Kakashi said.
"S-shut up." I said flicking him on the head.
Guy just laughed but everything got quite as the teacher finally showed up, 'And I thought we were late.' The teacher started to tell us the instructions and I pay attention. (Again it's the same as when Naruto takes the Chunin exams.)
"You have ten minutes to get your teams scrolls and talk with your team!" The teacher yells loud enough for all of us to hear and people start to move around.
"I'll go ahead and get the scrolls." I said walking towards the stand that had your one out of the two scrolls we needed.
"Please write down your team mates name and take the scroll that is given." A ninja behind the stand said and a line forms.
I began to write all three names, Amaya Tanaka, Kakashi Hatake, and Guy Might. After that the person behind the stand took the paper and hands me one scroll. 'We got the scroll of Earth. This means we need the scroll of heaven.'
I start to walk back over to Kakashi and Guy but stops when someone walked in front of me. He was taller than me, than again who isn't. He has brown hair and bangs that hanged in his face; he wore his hat backwards, with a plain blue T-shirt, and jeans. He's ninja head band was around his neck and ninja pouch on his waist, on his right hip.
"What are you doing here, Tanaka?" he asks saying my last name loudly; he's bright green eyes shinning.
"I'm in the exams." I said, "And I would like it better if you used my last name. It's Amaya." I said looking him right in the eyes.
"Oh is that right, Tanaka." He says smirking as he said my last name again, "What's a traitor doing in the village?" He asks.
I grind my teeth trying to hold back the harsh words, "I'm not a traitor." I say harshly.
"Is that so." He said, "Looks like I, Dai, will have to show you other wise. See you in the games, Tanaka." Dai said clicking his tongue as he said my last name.
"Who were you talking too?" A girl appears in front of Dai. She has short blond hair that goes just to her chin, and is cut evenly. She wears a big red T-shirt, white arm guards, and short jeans that went above the knees. Her head band was on her waist with her ninja pouch on her right hip.
"No one important." Dai said glancing at me, "Let's go, Moe." He said walking away.
Moe's light blue eyes laid on my amber ones but she quickly turned to follow Dai. 'What a jerk.' I sigh, frustrated as I walk over to Guy and Kakashi.
"What took you so long?" Guy asks, "Did youth get in the way?"
"No, just a jerk." I said and showed them the scroll, "We got Earth." I say more quietly.
"We only have two minutes left so let's talk quickly." Kakashi said and we huddle together to form a plain.
"What's your charka type?" Kakashi asks, "My main one is lighting but I can use others."
"I use taijutsu." Guy said.
"Water." I said wondering what Kakashi had planed.
"Time to begin." The teach said opening the gate, "You have five days." He said as everyone gathered to enter the forest, "You may enter." He said and all three of us take off heading off to the right like we planed.
I jump up on to a tree and start to make my way deeper into the forest. Kakashi is on my right and Guy is on my left. We kept going, hearing some fights going on but didn't bother to look. We finally stop by a huge tree and set up a temporary camp.
"All right, we'll wait a while for the forest claim down before we start to move again." Kakashi said and I and Guy agree.
I close my eyes and began to listen to the forest noise and anything trying to hurt us. I could hear a bird chirping and something else. It was a soft whistling almost like a…
"Water style!" I yell standing up facing the sound of the whistling that was coming in, "Water barrier!" I blow into the sign that my hands made and water poured out stopping the kunai and had paper attached. 'Wait!? A paper bomb.' Half the kunai sticks out of the water and blows up.
Before I knew it I was on the ground being shielded by Kakashi's body, who tackled me in the ground when the paper bomb went off.
"I see the traitor has friends." I heard Dai say walking towards us.
Guy ran up to us and Kakashi helped me stand. I call out my two blades and got ready to fight. Moe appeared next to Dai and there was an other boy walking next to them.
The boy has long black hair that's in a pony tail; he wears a dark blue jacket on, jeans. He's head band was on his forehead, he has amber eyes like mine, and the ninja pouch was on his left leg.
"Dai do you know who this girl is?" The new boy asks.
"Ya she's a Tanaka." Dai said pulling out a kunai.
"She i-is." Moe said before she looks at me with hateful blue eyes she pulls out a scroll.
"Is that so?" The new boy said pulling out a blade like mine but he only had one.
"Amaya, do you know them?" Guy asks as I bite my tongue.
"No." I say trying to sound claim.
The new boy looks at us, "Is that Kakashi Hatake." He gave a devilish smile, "The boy's father betrayed the Leaf." He was going to continue but I step in.
"Water style!" I said moving my hands, "Water dragon!" The water took shape of a dragon and hurl towards the three standing in front of us.
"Earth style!" The boy who made fun of Kakashi's father started to sign too, "Earth's hand!" A hand-made out of dirt raises from the ground and blocks my water dragon, "Did I strike a nerve, Tanaka?" he asks.
Moe made her move next, "Summoning scroll!" She yell biting her thumb as her scroll rolls open, she wipes some blood across it, "Tonbo!" A puff of smoke appeared and was replacing by a giant dragonfly, the light made the dragonfly shine red and green, with a bit of gold.
The dragonfly went to attack Guy and the girl followed it. They start to fight and I see the new guy go after Kakashi, who quickly moved out-of-the-way. That means I'm left with Dai.
"Looks like Moe and Iwao found their prey." Dai says and smiles.
"I'm not worried." I say and get ready for battle.
"Oh but you should be." Dai says throwing a kunai at me but I quickly block it with my blade.
I jump back as he charges in. I push my feet off the ground and Dai pulls an other kunai out. Sparks fly as our blades collides; we each block each other attacks. Sometimes are blades would hit right on other times it would be a close call.
I jump back again, trying something new, "Water style! Acid droplets!" Small water droplets form in the air and fire at Dai.
He blocks some with his blade, his eyes widen as his kunai starts to melt from the water droplets. Smoke forms in the air as the acid droplets melt what they touch. I take this chance to jump into a tree and watch, to see what Dai would do.
Dai had jumped out of the smoke and I could see him clearly. He didn't know where I was, I watch him look around. I jump into an other tree, quietly. I silently thank my dad for teaching me how move around quietly. I pull out a paper bomb, 'I wonder if he has a heaven scroll.' I put the paper bomb away. 'If he does then the paper bomb may ruin it.'
I could hear Dai mumble to him self, but couldn't hear what he was saying. 'Looks like even in the Chunin exams people still hate my family.' I keep my amber eyes glued on him waiting for a monument to attack. He's back is turned and I prepare to jump down.
I rush forward, catching Dai off guard. But he was able to turn in time to block my two blades. I hit him with enough force to send him backwards and I rush him again. Dai was barely able to block my blades, with one more swing I knocked his kunai out of his hand.
Dai let out what sounds like a growl, "Damn." He cursed.
"It's over. Now tell which of your teammates has the scroll." I said and point my blade at his neck.
"You're an assassin, aren't you?" Dai spat in my face, "Why don't you just kill me and search my body?" he said sourly.
"I'm not an assassin." I spat back, "I'm a ninja of the Leaf."
"You're joking right?" Dai said bitterly, "A Tanaka will never be a chunin! Let alone a ninja!" he yelled, "You left us during a war!" He pushed my arm away and tackles me to the ground.
I put my blades away, "What do you know!" I yell rolling over so I was on top of him, "You have no idea!" I said slamming my hands on his shoulder also having him slam into the ground.
"What's there to know?" Dai yells rolling over so he was on top, "Because of your family my dad is dead!" he punches me in the face.
I didn't move, 'Dead.' Dai hit me over and over in till the punches became so light I couldn't feel them. I look up at him, and I warm liquid hits my face.
"Why?" Dai cries as tears run down his face.
"I don't know." I said almost a whisper.
"How could you not know? You're a Tanaka!" Dai said angry again.
"Because they didn't tell me anything!" I yell rolling over so I was on top again, "Do you know what it's like it get up and leave everything! For the sake of what! My family!" I yell, "I had no say in anything!" I notice some drops of water on Dai's face.
He's eyes were wide open and I sit up, touching my tear-stained face. I felt a pair of arms wrap around me from behind, I turn my head to see the familiar white hair ninja. 'Kakashi.' I try to say something but I could find the words.
Dai stood up, "Dai!" Moe and Iwao ran to him.
Dai pulled out a scroll, "Here." He said and I stare at him.
Guy soon joined us a took the scroll, "What are you doing!?" Moe yelled at Dai.
"Its fine, we'll find an other one." Dai said wiping his tears.
"Are you crying?" Iwao asks as they walk away.
"No! I-Idiot!" Dai yells and turns back to me, "Don't think this is over, Tanaka!"
Kakashi helps me up and Guy was cheering and yelling something about youth. I rub my eyes and we all began to make are way to a cave near by. I yawn, 'Who knew crying could make you so tired.' I was glad Kakashi and Guy didn't ask why I was crying.
I sat down in the cave, "Should we try to make a fire?" I ask looking around for twigs.
"Sounds youthful!" Guy says gathering twigs, "I'll take first watch." He declares and walks out of the cave.
I crawl towards the pile of twigs and prepare it for a fire. Once it was ready I began to rub two twigs together in till they caught on fire. I poke at the sparks as the fire grew, lighting up the cave. I sit against the wall of the cave and yawn again.
"Tired?" I hear Kakashi asks as he sits by me, reading his book.
"Yes." I say my eyes half closed already.
"Sleep." Kakashi said glancing at me, "I'll wake you up when were ready to go."
I would argue and say, 'Wake me up for my turn to watch are camp.' But I was too tried to say anything left. My head fell on Kakashi's shoulder and I close my eyes.
"You did great." Kakashi whispers.
I give a tired smile and soon fall asleep.
Dream
Don't forget what I told you. I stood in a dark room; I look around trying to find the source of the echoing voice.
You can save her, Amaya Tanaka. I turn around and see a woman standing a couple of feet from me. Her long brown hair hangs in front of her face; she is wearing dark blue pajamas.
"Mom." My voice cracked and I slowly walk towards my mom.
She all of a sudden looks up, her eye are jet black. She runs at me tackling me to the ground and wraps her hands around my neck.
"Your killing them! Your killing them! You're killing them all!" She yells and I black liquid pours from her mouth and eyes.
I let out a scream that scared myself. I cover my ears and kept screaming.
End of Dream
No One's POV
Kakashi finally put his book away and rests he's head on Amaya's. He took note how small she is compared to him. Kakashi stares at the fire that was burning, he lets sleep take him away. Kakashi was half awake when he hears a scream.
He jolts up seeing Amaya screaming, "What's wrong." He asks trying to sound claim but she just kept screaming.
Guy rushes in to see what's wrong but Kakashi forces on Amaya who was screaming, a black liquid soaks the left arm of Amaya's shirt. Kakashi takes her into his lap so he can look at Amaya's left arm. She tackles Kakashi who was to shock to do anything as she begins to chock him.
"Your killing them!" Amaya yells as Guy pulls her off of Kakashi, "There all dead!" Kakashi looks at Amaya's pitch black eyes before they turn back to the normal amber ones that Kakashi is use too, "There all …de…ad." She mumbles to her self holding her left arm as she slides out of Guy's grip and on to the floor.
Kakashi quickly got up and caught Amaya. Guy has never seen Kakashi look as pale or scared as he did right there. Kakashi held Amaya, "What. The. Hell. Just. Happened?" Kakashi said staring at Amaya.
