Chapter 156: Kingdom Hearts
Pushing through the force of the portal, the three islanders made their way to the other side of the Door to Light that Vantias had gotten Sora to open. Once they were through, they saw that they were floating mid-air as they were in the emptiness of light blue, with sparks of light everywhere. The Keyblade Master floated forward to place his hand in one of the orbs of light, watching it fly around him. "Are these hearts?" He spoke out loud.
"Then we are truly here." Riku spoke, making the other two look at him. "We're truly inside Kingdom Hearts." He said with wonder, taking his surrounds in. After a moment, they started to notice the 'hearts' shake slightly before fleeing away. "We need to find Vantias!"
Holding her chest, Kairi took a deep breath, using her pure light to sense anything that was off in this light paradise. Feeling a sharp spark in her heart, she summoned her keyblade and pointed northwest to their positions. "This way!" She commanded as she took the lead with Sora and Riku following on.
As they flew through what they had been protecting all of these years, they noticed the hearts around them were fleeing away from where they were going. When they got closer, they saw a black spot in the distance, where some hearts were being sucked into. "There he is!" Sora pointed as the sight of Vantias building up dark energy with the X-blade as he absorbed the hearts. "Stop this!" He shouted out him.
The Dark Master looked over to see the three islanders. "So you survived? You should feel honoured for history is about to be made." He laughed as he unleashed the dark energy, blasting past the heroes like a burst of wind as the darkness began to darken their surroundings, destroying the light within with a wave of darkness. The Heart of All Worlds was now a dark blue/purple atmosphere. "The worlds are mine. It's time that everyone got that." He spoke as he clicked his fingers.

With the younger Abroc assisting him, Daniel search around for the younger Colonel Devil. Stopping him will halt the attack and he will get to try and get more answers about his father's cure ability. Using his communicator, Daniel scanned the area for any large activity in the city, only for it to be scrambled. "Kyle. My map is out." He reported, only to get static back. "Kyle!" He started to mess with the communicator to talk to his brother.
"That's not part of the plan." Abroc gulped silently.
Daniel looked over to see that the Fear Endless was looking up in the sky. As he looked up, he saw the dark heart moon in the sky. "Is that what I think it is?" he gasped. This moon was properly being seen around most of the worlds at this moment.
"This was never the plan…We have made a terrible mistake!" Abroc shivered before running ahead.
"Hey!" With haste, Daniel followed him down the streets before coming to an opening where they saw the Colonel struggle to protect himself against the Unbirth.
The Colonel's own Unbirth were attacking him.
Daniel looked up at the dark heart moon once more. Are they winning? Were they losing? He couldn't tell. The sight of the moon was even a good sign or a bad one. "Thunder!" He raised his keyblade to strike the Unbirth attacking the younger Colonel Devil, allowing Abroc to run up to him.
As Daniel walked over to them, he could hear Devil's communicator go as the younger Skullo reported in. "Devil! The Unbirth are out of hand. I have no control! Half of them are trying to leave the world!"
Leaving the world? Daniel thought with concern before he began to hear parts of Kyle's voice come from his communicator. "Kyle! You there?" He asked.
"Daniel! We need to stop the Unbirth! They're leaving the world!" He reported. "We can't let them stop the others!"
Daniel was left confused on what the enemy were doing. Were they attacking them or leaving? He turned to the two Endless as Abroc helped the Colonel up as he tried to heal himself. "What the hell is going on?" He demanded as he looked at Abroc. "What did you mean when you said this wasn't to plan?" He asked.
"It's quite simple." The younger Colonel groaned before pointing to the heart moon. "That is not what Kingdom Hearts is supposed to look like. That is Kingdom Heart being infected. We have all lost our powers and abilities to control the Unbirth. The Dark Master has set us up!"
"What?" Daniel looked at him in disbelief, seeing for himself that the younger Colonel could no longer heal. How could this be happening? Why didn't the book warn them about the Dark Master? Even after changing time, it only warned them about Sky.
"But what will happen to us?" Abroc asked his friend, looking for an answer. The horde of Unbirth and Heartless began to emerge from the shadows as they surrounded the three of them. "David!" He cried.
"We're not monsters anymore." The Colonel's voice darkened. "Only prey to the dark."

As soon as Vantias clicked his fingers, Sora rushed toward, pointing his keyblade towards him. "Light!" His keyblade was engulfed with light as he changed towards the Dark Master. He slammed into the X-blade as Vanitas blocked the attack. The strength of the X-blade simply pushed Sora back, making him crash to the floor, groaning in pain as he couldn't move.
"Sora!" Riku and Kairi called.
"Is that all you got?" He raised his hand, blasting a huge dark energy towards Kairi and Riku. The Wielder of Dawn and Princess of Heart quickly combined their abilities to create a huge protect shield from Vanitas' attack, blocking it but taking fatigue from it. They didn't expect Vanitas to appear behind them and attack them from behind.
"Water!" Kairi shot back up, catching Vanitas slightly before throwing multiple spell combos at him.
Riku quickly took this chance to become the more offence one as he went to attack Vanitas while he was trapped in Kairi's magic combo, Riku slashed at him enemy, only to bounce back. It was only then he noticed what Vanitas was doing. "Kairi! MOVE!" Riku signalled her to move out of the way.
With the amount of spells that Vanitas had absorbed, he blasted the attack back in a powerful wave, striking the two hard as they crashed to the ground. He didn't rest when they quickly drank potions as he launched more attacks on them.
Sora pushed himself up, seeing that Riku and Kairi were struggling to keep Vantias off of them. Even with the three of them, the strength that Vanitas was throwing at them was too much for them. "X-blade…" He muttered, knowing that it was the source of his power. If they could get the X-blade away from Vanitas, they will have an opening to defeat him. But how? Vantias either blocks any attacks sent his way or attacks them at such a furious speed that they don't have time to counter, only dodge.
But it's not just us.Sora reminded himself as he picked his keyblade back up. There were all of his friends that fought for them to defeat Vanitas. Sora cast multiple buffs on himself and a few on Riku and Kairi, allowing them to escape Vantias' attacks and counter a few moves. "They're our power." He smirked as he waved his keyblade in the air, creating multiple light orbs, no longer corrupted by the virus and shot them at the distracted Vantias. "Vanitas! Stop this!" Sora demanded this.
Taking the hits from the light orbs, Vanitas glared at the Keyblade Master. "This was why I was born, Sora." He growled. "This is what I was created to do. TO DESTROY THE WORLDS!" Raising his hands in the air as multiple keyblades began to emerge from the darkness that surrounded them. He jumped on the shadow keyblade and rode them as he shot blizzard magic at them.
The three of the dodged the magic, trying to not get themselves frozen. Riku kept his guard up as he waited for Vanitas to come back towards them. "Sora! What are you doing?!" He questioned.
Sora chuckled nervously as he grinned. "I'm not sure." He admitted, having Riku look at him in disbelief. "But we need to get the X-blade out of his hands before Kingdom Hearts gets struck like this." He said, changing his keyblade's form to ride as he prepared to find Vantias.
"And your plan is to ask him to stop?" Riku questioned him, only to see Sora fly off. "Sora!" He called for him.
Kairi gasped slightly as she chipped in. "His power runs on his emotions. We could try and make him overwhelmed." She suggested as she began to change her keyblade, having been shown and trained to use it in the simulator on the gummi.
Riku raised an eyebrow at that. "And how are we gonna do that-Wait!" Riku pointed to the middle, where all of the hearts were being corrupted. "We need to balance Kingdom Hearts. We need to bring it back to the light. At the moment, Vanitas has a home advantage." With his words, he changed his keyblade to ride, ready to catch up to Sora.

"We need to get ready." King Mickey looked away from the sight of the moon as he aided with the defensive set up for when the rest of the horde comes. Because of the sudden appearance of Kingdom Hearts, Hikari and Brian stayed with the others to prepare for the attack. "We won't have long until they come."
The defenders were set near the portal, which would consist of King Mickey, Ventus and Goofy. In front of them were the magic users which were Naminé, Aqua, Xion and Donald and in the front lines were Terra, Roxas and Hikari.
As his attacks had gotten worse since Sora, Kairi and Riku went through the portal, Brian was resting near the defenders. Everyone had asked if he was okay but he refused to answer them. He was in his own little world. Waiting to see what would take him first. The enemy or time itself.
He was complete absorbed by his thoughts that he didn't notice Jiminy try and get his attention. "Brian! Brian!" He called out to him. "You can't give up. Not like this." Jiminy's words didn't seem to snap him out of it and neither did the slams that came from the bottom of the fortress. Hopping in front of him so that Brian could see him, Jiminy looked at him with worry. "So fate seems to be your enemy right now but it can also be your ally."
"Save your words." Brian muttered, not wanting to talk.
"Let me finish." Jiminy requested from him before continuing. "In your heart, you would have sensed the connection that you had between Sora and Kairi, whether if it was biological or not. Yet, you still came to the past."
"I didn't know then—" Brian growled, shaking slightly from the attacks.
"Whether you knew or not, you never went to the past for your own needs. You went to the past to save your friends….to save Sora." Jiminy jumped up on his knee as he continued. "To save the ones that cared about you."
"They are already or will be saved as soon as Sora, Kairi and Riku defeat Vanitas." Brian explained to him. "I'm not needed anymore." He buried his head, trying to keep his strength. "And I have no strength to fight."
"You have the strength, Brian. I know you-" Jiminy assured him.
The Aversion Endless, filled of frustration and worry, raged at the cricket as he shouted, "I HAVE NO STRENGTH, JIMINY!" His voice made Goofy, Ventus and King Mickey jump from the sudden outburst while the others turned around. He ignored them all though, returning to his shell.
As Jiminy jumped over back to Goofy, knowing that he can say no more; Ventus walked over to the Endless, kneeling down to him. "Your clock is ticking, so why waste your final day?" Ventus asked aloud, making Brian stare at him in disbelief and shock.
Hikari looked at the two in question. "Final day? Brian?" She looked at him in the same shock he wore a moment ago. "Are you-?"
The door slammed loudly, cutting Hikari off. She looked back to where Brian had sat, only to see him gone. "Brian?!"
The enemy were beginning to make their way in. Time has run out.

Getting closer to the core of Kingdom Hearts, Sora rode his way closer to the shadow orb that Vanitas was in. With orbs created around him, he began to try and shot Vantias off course as if the light orbs were his blasters from the gummi. While a few hit Vanitas, the two began an air battle using the powers of light and darkness to try and knock each other off. With the number of orbs being fired began to grow, as they were surrounded by each other's blasts. Sora was cut short from the amount of magic he had used in the air battle, being left to try and dodge the army of dark orbs that was after him. With too many orbs striking him, he grabbed his keyblade in a risky move as he jumped in the air with the keyblade in hand and slammed Vanitas down back to the ground.
Recovering from the crash, Vanitas teleported out of Sora's grasp, making him jump up with keyblade in hand. He noticed that they had crash very close to the core of Kingdom Hearts, where the Heart of All Worlds was on the verge of turning pitch black, with Heartless forming from the newly created shadows to try and grab heart. He managed to see Riku and Kairi above him, seeing them looking at the core as well. He signalled them to go, just as Vantias reappeared and tried to catch him off guard by teleporting everywhere. He managed to keep up to speed though, with his body adjusted to the strength of an Endless as he had only been cursed for a short while.
"Why do you continue to fight?!" Vanitas kicked him away, pointing his keyblade at him. "You're just as idiotic as that Ventus. Never knowing when to give up." He teleported once more that he was key to key with Sora, just inches away from him. "After all, you're the reason I'm here to begin with. So why don't you let destiny happen?!"
Sora, confused by Vantias' words, was pushed back to the ground with the X-Blade swinging down at him. With quick movements, he countered the attack, striking Vantias' helmet at the same time as a piece fell to the floor. As he looked at the enemy, he gasped in shock as it looked like he was looking into a mirror. "You're…"
"I'M NOT YOU!" Vantias reacts to the shock as he removes the helmet and kicking Sora around the face. "It's because of you I look like this! You and that stupid heart of yours!" His jet black spike form just as Vanitas' cool slowly starts to disappear. "It's your stupid heart that made me lose to Ventus all those years ago, the reason you even wield the keyblade! You have been a bane to my existence since I gained your face!"
The corner of Sora's eye saw Riku and Kairi giving the core some light. All he has to do is to continue to distract Vanitas until they brighten the core, whatever idea that was behind it. "I didn't make you lose." Sora told him. "Your heart lost!"
Vanitas only laughed at the comment, his expression of a person that has gone insane. "You think you can talk your way to victory. I've been connected to your heart just as long as you." With a twist of a hand, he creates a stabbing pain within Sora's heart. "I've done enough damage for Kingdom Hearts and the rest of the Worlds to fall. There is enough darkness for me to come back again and again and again." With his claw, he turned to look at Riku and Kairi, forcing them down to the ground at such a fast speed like fly in the sky being struck down.
"Nooo.." Sora groaned at the sight of his friends falling.
Calm once again, Vanitas forced Sora to the ground as well. "But you? Your friends? No matter how much power you gain from your friends, you all face the same fate. Whether it's defeating your town or journeying from the future or just trying to get back home. You will never be revived."
"You're wrong." Sora muttered, only for the pain in his heart to grow stronger. "I had never been scared of dying. Only because I know that I had tried by best when I had started this journey. I made so many friends. I know they will always remember me. So even if I go away, they know I will always be there for them." With as much strength he could muster, he pushed himself up through the force the gravity and the pain in his heart. "And that's why your heart lost before….because you never let anyone be your friend. You're all alone."
Vanitas kicked Sora once more but dropped the gravity as his feelings began to form once more. "You don't know what it is like to be me! To be created and have no idea why you were born!"
"Maybe I can help then! LOST HEART!"
Vanitas turned over to be caught by a large fireball, which sent him miles away.
Sora pushed himself up, only to see Brian behind him, fading in and out of existence. "Brian…" Sora was left speechless.
"There's no time." He said, guiding Sora towards the core. "I will hold him back, purify the core." He told him before running after Vanitas.
"No way! I'm not letting you go down like this!" Sora shouted over. He looked behind him to see Riku and Kairi appear behind him. "We have to help Brian!" Sora yelled to them before running off.
"Brian is here?! Sora!" Kairi called out to him as her and Riku following him.
As the three caught up to Brian, they saw huge spheres of light and darkness form between Brian and Vanitas. Not much could be said between them, with Vanitas having Sora's face or that Brian was fading in and out of existence that it make the light blast wobble slightly. As they ran forward, aiming to help, only to be stopped by a barrier….
Brian's barrier.
"Brian! What are you doing?!" Kairi cried, slamming on the barrier.
Sora tried to dispel the barrier by using the same spell given to him to get rid of the Colonel's barrier, only for it to fail.
Riku could only watch, to see what Brian was trying to do, seeing what was happening to him.
He wasn't here to save them. He was here to give them time.
With a heavy heart, he changed into his rock ability to give him some extra strength and picked up Sora and Kairi and placing them over his shoulders. "We need to purify the core." Riku remain blunt as he carried the two, who were immediately trying to struggle at of their grip.
"Riku! Let go! We need to help him!" Kairi cried.
"Riku! That's our friend! We have to go back! RIKU!" Sora yelled.
They cried and shouted at him, telling him that they needed to save Brian but it would be a waste of time. They needed to purify Kingdom Hearts if they had any chance to have of balancing Vanitas. When fighting him earlier, he knew that Vanitas was mocking them, playing with them, throwing mind games out to them to make them believe that they could actually win and he and Kairi couldn't purify the core of Kingdom Hearts on their own, it took too long and Vanitas would stop them again like last time.
"This is the only way!" He said firmly, hiding his feelings about the situation.
"This can't be the only way! He's going to die!" Kairi argued.
"I'm not abandoning my friend!" In frustration, he punched Riku in the face, allowing him to let go of him and Kairi. "I'm sorry, Riku." He apologized before running back to the barrier with Kairi following close behind.
"Sora! Kairi!" Riku chased behind them.
The Keyblade Master and Princess of Heart raced back to the barrier, seeing that Brian was getting weaker. His light orb was getting smaller and Vanitas was slowly consuming. His appearance had changed though. While they had struggled with Riku, it looked like Brian had dived all the power that he had in him, even letting his hidden infected soul consume him finally. His claw was now light, from what you could see of it as his arm kept disappearing from view. His hair was now brown like Sora's and he held Kairi's violent eyes as he looked sadly back at them. "PURIFY THE CORE!" He shouted before grunted in pain as a small spark of light floated from him.
"We're not leaving without you!" Sora shouted to him, his slammed on the barrier with urgently as he saw the spark of light float off him.
"Sora! Let me do my bit!" He yelled. "I'm not gonna die doing nothing!" As he spoke, his barrier began to flicker slightly.
Using his quick thinking, Sora cast 'stop' on the barrier, allowing a gap to emerge in the portal. As he entered the battle, Brian falls to his knees as more orbs form off of him. The Keyblade Master slid by his side and held him up. As he raised his keyblade to support Brian in his blast, he noticed from the corner of his eye that Riku had caught up to Kairi and pulled her back, preventing her from helping. "You're not going to die of nothing." Sora said as he took over the blast, being balanced with Vanitas again. "You have already done so much."
The area rumbled as their surroundings turned darker, the core shaking violently as darkness began to surround it. Due to increase in darkness, Vanitas managed to take over with the blast, overpowering Sora and consumer all four of the fighters in the attack, blasting them far away from the core. Receiving massive damage, Sora, Riku and Kairi struggled to get to their feet, having to use their strongest magic to heal and support them but Brian remained still. Before they could attend to their unconscious friend, Vanitas appeared in front of them, kicking Brian out of his way.
Out of anger, Sora shot up, ignoring the pain as he went to strike Vanitas, only to be halted and grabbed with a spawn of darkness forming a fist, engulfing him as he was trapped. "No…" He groaned, dropping the Kingdom Key through the spawn as it disappeared.
Pointing the X-Blade at Sora's heart, Vanitas glared at the other two keybearers. "Attack me." He dared them. As they didn't move, fearing for Sora's safety, Vantias trapped the two in darkness as well. Although Riku had moments that he was free from the grip due to his resistance, Kairi managed to defend herself against it but not free herself with her pure light. "It's time for things to change." He told them.

"The Light has ruled for too long. It's time that darkness cleaned the worlds." Vanitas told them.
Terra blasted away a horde of Unbirth away with his special cannon move to try and lower the numbers but with no chance. With the size of the room, the throne room was getting overcrowded very fast. Unbirth was everywhere, forcing the others to forget their layout from before and huddled together to protect the portal. Donald and Goofy had fallen, waiting for a potion to bring them back. Aqua and Naminé was acting as the healers but had been dragged into the horde of the enemy where they fought for her life. Hikari held her own but without magic; she was beginning to lose her stamina and her strength to fight. Mickey, Terra, Roxas, Xion and Ventus were the only ones able to continue to protect the portal, their magic and items running short.

"It's time for the worlds to know the true nightmare that waits in the dark. A time where enemies will become friends in their time of their demise."
Fighting through the hordes that still remained in the remains of Little Devon, Daniel, the younger forms of Colonel Devil and Abroc reached the dock where Kyle, Max and the younger Skullo were trying to fight for their life as Kyle was trying to get a ship running. "Keep them away. I've almost done."
Skullo growled as he fought the horde as best as he could. "Easy for you to say! You're not the one trying to fight with no magic."
Max shook his head at this, "Not to mention, you said that ten minutes ago."
Using joined strengths, they fought through the enemy to reach the other two. While Colonel Devil and Abroc joined up with Skullo and Max, Daniel jumped on the gummi ship where Kyle worked. "What are you doing?" He asked. "Did all of the citizens get out of here?"
"Only half. Everyone else is dead." He said grimly. "I'm rigging the gummi ships to blow simultaneously so that the blast is strong and big enough to hit the gravitational core we built for the world to function. When that gets damaged, it will create a black hole that will last a short while to engulf this world but not affect other worlds." He explained. "We only have moments before then to getting into the gummi over there and away to Little Devon."
"How much longer do you need?" He asked, although destroying his creation of a world was a sad thing to do, it was the only thing to do.
Kyle shook his head. "I'm having a problem with the connection to charge the automatic detonator; there isn't a safe way to do it unless I want to shock myself."
"Is there no other way to do it?" Daniel asked.
"Not unless one of us wants to sacrifice yourself. I just need time!" Kyle exclaimed.
A huge roar emerged from the shadows of the Unbirth as a deadly beast with red eyes formed from multiple Unbirth going together. From the sight, Abroc looking over to the Devon boys and ran over to them, jumping up and holding the two loose wires. "Do it!" He told them.
Kyle looked at him in disbelief. "You could die—"
"JUST DO IT BEFORE I CHICKEN OUT!" He yelled at them, leading Kyle to force the switch down. The electric current pulsed through Abroc as his fist and arms became stiff, yelling from the pain he was receiving from the shock. Kyle did his best from his magic to keep the pain down while the detonator charged.
"How long?" Daniel asked him.
"A few minutes for it to get charged." Kyle told them.
"Right." Daniel jumped off the gummi and joined the others. "We have some fighting to do!"
The Colonel smirked at the comment. "Let's do some housecleaning!"

Brian's eyes shot open, a blurry scene was around him as he could see Vanitas getting ready to finish off Sora while the captive Riku and Kairi watched. He felt that his heart was weak, that he will go at any second. "It's all or nothing." He wobbled his way to the core, making sure to stay out of Vanitas sight. As he wobbled, he felt someone's presence beside him, a kind one. He looked to his side to see the spirit of Aiddie by his side, smiling at him as she held him up. On his other side came Nikolai as the two siblings lead Brian to the core. He fell to his knees as he entered the deep darkness surrounding it.
He pushed back up though. Through the pain and the sadness and the darkness.
As he reached the centre, he saw the spirits of the many lives that had been lost during his adventure and his choices. Aiddie, Nikolai, Jun from both times, Angel, Sora, Riku and Hikari from the future, even some of the friends he was forced to fight when he left the Order. They all waited for a new future.
They all remained him of the reason he choose this path.
He remembered who he truly is.
One who isn't afraid of death.
He summoned his keyblade and placed it to aim at his chest. "This will get them a fighting chance!" He mumbled before stabbing himself in the heart and unleashing the energy of his heart into the core, clearing some of the darkness.
Vanitas was about to slam his X-blade into Sora, with Riku and Kairi yelling out for his name when he noticed the sudden change in the core. Someone was trying to purity it.
Sora took this chance to slash the X-blade out of Vanitas' hand and grab it for himself before slashing viciously at him, using his light orbs to zap Riku and Kairi free. He pushed Vanitas back, allowing him to jump back to Riku and Kairi. Vanitas began to run for the core to try and gain back his lost strength but Sora took this chance to go into drive mode with Riku and Kairi, gaining him a mode stronger than final.
Though it looked similar to Final Drive, the power of his closest friends and the X-blade created the Ultima Drive, where he still remained with one keyblade but his power was indescribable. With great speed, Sora managed to teleport in front of Vantias and aim the X-blade for his heart. "It's time to show you the light!" Sora told him, the echoes of Riku and Kairi's voice followed.
Without the X-blade, the weapon that had made him so powerful, Vanitas' eyes grew in fear like a dear in flashlights. "Don't! Please! I wanna live!" He begged.
Sora's eyes showed no mercy. "This is for all of the lives you had ruined. You and Xehanort!" With a quick flash, Sora perform Zantetsuken right through Vanitas, which ended up breaking the drive as the move the finished, leaving Sora, Riku and Kairi watch Vanitas get engulfed by an explosion of light, as Vanitas turned back into his true original form, a dark shadow humanoid with red eyes before dissolving into nothing.
"Is it over?" Kairi asked aloud.
"Not yet." Sora looked around for any signs of Brian before looking at the core, to see that it was still infected with a body lying near. "Over here." He told them before riding over to Brian.
He knelled down to Brian, who was looking up at sky that was trying to form from the darkness. He looked at Sora and pointed at the badge he was wearing, one that Sora hadn't noticed that was on him until now. "Time to heal the world….." He gasped "….live your life….."
"Brian-" Sora went to pull him up, only for Brian to finally fade away into Kingdom Hearts itself. Sora held himself together from the sight of his friend's death, slamming his fist on the ground before wiping his eyes and walking back to Riku and Kairi, hugging Kairi with one arm as they both try and control themselves for the time being.
Riku, though saddened by Brian's demise, looked over at the core. "Time to get rid of the virus, once and for all."
"There is one more thing." Sora said before going over to the core with the X-blade and lifted the key in the air. "Light! Mend the hurt! Heal the worlds! May us whole!" Sora requested, creating a bright light to merge from the core, covering Sora, Riku and Kairi.

For a moment, Ventus prepared for the final strike from the Unbirth as he was unarmed and surrounded before the horde of Unbirth in front of him screeched and disappeared from view, allowing to see everyone else. He ran to the window to see that the army that remained outside had disappeared too. "They're gone!" He told them with a smile. His words led Roxas and Xion to run over to him to check for themselves.
Goofy rubbed his head while keeping his shield close, looking behind him as he was protecting the hurt King Mickey, Naminé, Donald and Hikari. "Are you guys okay?" he asked.
"Depends… Is it over?" Hikari asked.
Donald looked up. "There are no enemies." In response, Hikari just collapse to the ground, her energy gone from the battle.
Terra and Aqua looked over the portal, still keeping their guard. "Do you think they did it?" Terra asked her.
Aqua smiled. "Here's hoping." Her smiled dropped through as a huge light merge from the portal, blinding everyone in light, as well as taking cover of the world.
BOWBOWBOW
Managing to charge the detonator, the two sides jumped on the gummi ship and flew into space to watch Little Devon crumble apart from behind them as they flew to Radiant Garden. While Max flew the gummi ship to Radiant Garden, Daniel and Kyle were having a stare down with Colonel Devil and Skullo while Abroc rested in the corner from having been a conductor.
Before any fights started thought, the Endless on the ship looked at their claws as their infections started to disappear and their former features began to return, leaving Daniel and Kyle looking at them in disbelief. "They did it." Daniel mumbled.
As the Colonel changed back into his former self as David Devon, he looked himself in the mirror, his mind flashing back to when he killed his wife, lowering his head. "What did I do?" He shook in grief, without the virus to control his thoughts and actions, he can reflect on his actions.
Shawn, known as Skullo, shook his head. "We all did back things."
"But why did we think we were doing was good?" Antony spoke, shaken with disgust.
"Listen!" Kyle stepped forward, taking the lead. "You can't focus your thoughts on what the virus made you do. You have to think of how you can make amends." He told them before looking over to David. "Do you know who we are?" He asked him, which he received a nod. "Find them. Support them." He instructed him.
"Hmm, Daniel, Kyle. You better come and look at this!" Max spoke over the intercom.
The Devon Brothers rushed upstairs, being followed by the others, to see what was happening. The empty space in front of them was turning white as the light engulfed everything. Everyone remained speechless with Daniel placing a hand on Kyle's shoulder before being engulfed in the light as well.
One by one….the worlds were engulfed by the great light from Kingdom Hearts.
A/N: It's been a while. I thought I be honest with you guys with this. I have on the down for most of the year due to struggling to find work. It made me stop writing, stop gaming, making me go to bed early and not talking to my other half and though I still get those days, I am now working as an intern as a Production Assistant/Editor for an indie horror and will be looking to becoming the animator for the next projects that the producer has in mind and I'm getting more of a understanding how film works over time. This might help to turning this fanfiction into a TV series or a series of films. It would be good to make it into a game as that will have the most choices and story options but we shall see.
But no more battles for this fanfiction. Hope you enjoyed it. It will be the next two chapters for this to end. I will work to get it done next week, as well as the first chapter of Balance of Memories.
