I wrote this poem in my creative writing class after some inspiration from my friend, who had music from the Peter Pan soundtrack. She turned on "I Do Believe in Fairies" and this just came spilling out. Thought I would share it with you guys.
(and I'm working on my other stories, they're just being little brats to write- it's terribly painful especially since Avenger'd is three chapters away from being finished and I know how I want to end it!)
Anyway, enjoy and let me know how you like it! (via review please!)
Disclaimer: Though Peter Pan is pretty much in the public domain, I still do not own anything related to him.
Poisoned
Malice.
Jealousy.
Disappointment.
Their taste is a venomous serpent of sludge,
Drenching my life's candle with
Oozing globs of paralyzing toxin.
Staring up at his misty face
Why…why…why…
did I fly before the acrimonious sword for him?
His fractured heart beats not for mine…
But…
Sun sweet tears caress his passionate face;
It is enough to see.
A smile is my parting gift, but please…
Believe in me.
