Hey guys, Cindy here.
Let me just apologize for the long wait and tell you right now that it's going to continue like this until I have found some stability in my Fanfiction-coverart, tumblr themes and chapter layouts for this story because I havent gotten as far as this chapter yet so Hana and I will be brain-storming for a while but I hope it won't take too long. I know where the story is going to go and lemme tell you, Klaus is going to benefit from her raging hormones before they lessen.
Responses:
Romantic-Pacifist69- Love the pun BTW :) and thank you. personally I don't like the fact that Marcel is against Klaus because Klaus is a sadistic murderer so him taking a child under his wing and raising him as his own only to have said child attempt to end his life kinda feels like his 1000 year war he had with his father and frankly, I don't like it.
SabbyDeeKnowles: they will, it won't come out the way that everyone would want but it will come out.
Hellz-on-Earth: Yea thanks, the convo with Shiela and Bonnie kinda run away with me. I feel so strongly about Elena/Caroline/Klaus future convo.
AvalonTheLadyKiller: Half of your review I didn't understand but I did understand you pointing out that Caroline has more feels for that steak than Klaus.
KlarolineKolenaDaroline: What an interesting question when your answer is in this chapter :)
Princess Aziza: I realized that we rambled with the writing, the point of the game was to avoid the pregnant women at all cost.
on with the chapter...
Chapter 11- Double Trouble
When her mother told her that being pregnant with her was complete and utter torture, she had also claimed that she was partly joking but she had never agreed to her mother's words as much as she did now. This was torture, the worst kind. Being tortured by your own body, your own emotions, your own thoughts, it was one thing to be tortured by someone's hands, another being tortured by your hand.
It was cruel, really. To be hot one minute and cold the next, to be happy for just a small amount of time and be completely pissed for the rest of the day, to crave a man's touch to the point of begging for it, then not wanting anyone to touch her of else she would threaten to cut them if they came any closer.
Katherine said; in a rather bitchy tone that Caroline could have done without, that these raging hormones would be gone by the sixth month. She was now near the end of her 4th month and Hayley was in her sixth. She was getting over her hormones but Caroline's hormones and emotions were all over the place. Everyone was pissing her off in the house by now. If she wanted to go out and eat they wouldn't let her and even if one of the others did, Klaus wouldn't let her because he didn't want the witches to see her. Caroline understood that better than anyone, considering the fact that Hayley was linked to one of the witches and although being linked to someone had no amount of pain at all, she'd much rather stay unlinked to someone she didn't even know.
Her stomach had grown into a small bump that was only visible in a slightly skin tight top or dress and it was then her impending motherhood began to eat at her.
She had then realized that this was real. She was going to be a mother.
Caroline had always done a fantastic job of scaring herself and this was no exception. She was absolutely terrified of becoming a mother. She had always wanted children but she thought that she would have them in her thirties. Then, when the harsh truth came that she was no longer fertile, it devastated her to no end.
Now she turned human for no more than twenty four hours and got herself pregnant without even trying.
To Klaus Mikaelson, a thousand year old hybrid with control and trust issues not to mention a tempter to match his reputation.
Yep, that could cause a girl to tremble in her sleep.
Then there was Klaus. She felt like he was emotionally detached from the fact that she was carrying his child. Hell, Tyler was being more emotionally involved with Hayley than Klaus was with her. She made many excuses for him in her head.
He never expected this.
He was still getting used to the thought.
He still believed that this it was not real, even though the raw evidence of how real the situation was grew every single day.
He didn't know what he was feeling even if he was feeling anything.
She was tired of making excuses for him and frankly, she felt like everyone else wanted her there but him.
"So when my nephew is born, you will be naming him after me right?" Kol asked, entering the kitchen, heading to the fridge where she had been rummaging through, searching for something to curb her hunger.
She looked up in surprise when she heard the voice enter the room and a baffled expression on her face at his question. Then her facial expression went from baffled to disgust immediately "If I ever give birth to a boy, I will quicker burn in the sun than name him Kol" she said as she ate the chocolate ice cream.
"Harsh Carebear" he hissed "My name is awesome" he said smugly while pulling a blood bag out and grabbing a glass from a nearby cabinet "Besides, you're human. The sun may sting but it won't do as much damage as it will to a vampire"
"Your name is older than you are" she countered with a scoffed.
"Still awesome" he sang, cutting off the top of the bag and pouring the contents into the glass.
"Still old" she countered, keeping her eyes away from the blood to make sure she didn't barf what she just put into her empty stomach.
"What will you name him then?" he asked, looking up at her.
She looked down in shame because she was four months pregnant and she hasn't even thought of baby names yet. Then again, who thought about baby names at this point in their pregnancy?
She shouldn't be the one to talk anyways considering she was seven years old when she picked out her future children's names.
"Not Kol" she replied calmly.
"Fine" he said "Be that way, but know that by not honoring him with my name, you'll be robbing him of this handsomeness" he smiled, gesturing to his facial features.
"I'll be doing him a favor, trust me" she snickered.
"Kol" Klaus sighed, entering the kitchen, alarming Caroline "I will not name my child after you so do get over yourself" he added.
Caroline let out a scoff at his words, not intentionally but she wasn't going to stop now that she started anyways "Coming from someone who just voiced his somewhat emotional attachment to the said child?"
Klaus froze in his steps and internally winced at the attack. Has he done something wrong?
Kol hissed at the attack and looked down with a smirk at her words "Oh little one" he shook his head, grabbing the blood bag and glass, heading for the kitchen exit "You have no idea how emotionally attached he is"
Klaus eyed his brother curiously, wondering what he meant by those words when a smirk played on his little brother's face.
"My darling sister was kind enough to tell me a bedtime story based on a real story. There was a smile and a door mentioned…" he trailed off, his index finger touched his bottom lip as he looked deep in thought "Was it a front door, the backdoor, a bathroom door…"
Klaus's eyes widen slightly in horror. He had actually hoped that Rebekah would have kept that to herself or better yet told Elijah. At least he wouldn't have mocked him with it or told Caroline. Kol would tell Caroline about it just to see him suffer.
"I will reach down your throat and rip out your large intestines if you say one more word" Klaus growled tensely, looking from the corner of his eyes to see Caroline looking at Kol with interest.
Kol sighed "Must you always be such a spoil sport brother, I thought her story was adorable" he smirked devilishly.
"Must you always be such a loose tongue brother, or shall I cut it off and render you speechless altogether?" Klaus countered with a smile, while slowly grabbing a knife from the kitchen isle "You'd be doing thousands of people a favor, including myself"
Kol chuckled "No need for early morning bloodshed, I get it, my nephew will not be named Kol" he took a sip of his glass of blood before turning around and walking away "I draw the line if he is named after Elijah"
"If he names my nephew after anyone of us, there will be war" Rebekah said in a warning tone, entering the kitchen "Good morning, Nik" she smiled mockingly at him.
Klaus lowly growled at her in response and she dramatically withdrew back and turned to Kol with false surprise "What's wrong with him?"
"I mentioned the bedtime story you told me that featured him. I haven't got the signature 'dagger threat' yet but it's coming" he replied with a knowing smirk.
"Oh" Rebekah drawled, all the while, Caroline just sat where she was, eating her ice cream and watching the Mikaelson siblings with their morning banter "That story" she slowly smirked, eyeing her brother as his jaw tensed in anger "To have something so close yet so far away…" She trailed off "Must be heart wrenching, I can only imagine"
Feeling flustered and backed into a corner, he growled at her lowly in a threatening manner, a silent 'say no more or else' was said but they both ignored it.
"And the smile, oh the smile" Kol sighed blissfully with a bright smile "Our sister claimed it to be one of those rare ones, the smiles that are actually real"
Caroline snapped and dropped her spoon on the kitchen isle, causing everyone to look at her "What the hell are you guys talking about?"
Kol's smile grew even bigger "Poor Carebear" he cooed, pointing at her "She doesn't even know"
"Would someone tell me?" she snapped, annoyed.
Rebekah flashed to her side with a grin "Well…"
"Bekah…" Klaus growled in a threatening tone, clearly signaling that she should stop if she didn't want to end up in a box "I can smell the shiny metal of those special daggers and the musky scent of your personal coffin calling you…" he trailed off with his signature smirk.
"Uh oh, here comes the dagger threats, brace yourselves everyone" Kol said with dramatic flair to his tone.
"Why must you all fight at this hour" Elijah sighed in frustration as he entered the kitchen "You are all troubling Caroline who must have came into the kitchen for some peace and quiet" he smiled, looking right at Caroline "Good morning"
Caroline saluted Elijah with her spoon "I came here to eat and they started arguing, I actually don't mind" she slowly smiled "This is better than cable" signaling to the others in the room.
"Elijah, I hear barking. Do we have dogs in the-"she paused as she entered the kitchen where a dead silence met her as well as angry glares from most of the people in the room "Never mind, found the source" and she quickly turned around and retreated back to her room, Elijah's room.
Caroline suddenly burst out into a fit of giggles at Katherine's entrance and exit, and the hidden pun in regards to Klaus and his werewolf side. She looked in Klaus's direction and noticed that he had this serious 'I'll kill her' look on his face and she calmed down a little "Klaus, it was a joke, lighten up"
Still, his facial expression never wavered and she sighed "She didn't mean anything by it, just a joke"
Nothing, not so much as a flinch.
She stood up at once with annoyance splashed on her face "Fine, you want to stand there and pout like a child because you can't take a damn joke, go right ahead" and she stormed out of the room at once, leaving some smirking originals and a dumbfounded hybrid in her wake.
A Week Later
Marcel watched as Klaus took one long gulp of bourbon. Slamming the glass on the table, Marcel realized that Klaus was in no mood.
Marcel walked up to Klaus from behind and placed a hand on his shoulder "What did the table do? Steal your lunch money?"
Klaus chuckled and shook his head.
"Can I join you?" Marcel asked; gesturing to the empty seat opposite Klaus's sitting direction.
"Go ahead" he replied, raising the bottle of bourbon in salute before filling his shot glass to the rim.
Marcel quickly took the seat and watched as Klaus took drink after drink after drink.
"You look like hell" Marcel stated.
Klaus looked up through hooded eyes and scoffed "Is that so? I feel worst"
Marcel smiled "Family issues, perhaps?"
Klaus smirked "You could say so" Klaus replied cryptically.
"So cryptic…" Marcel trailed off with a smile "How is the pregnant woman doing these days, have the pregnancy hormones started yet?"
"They have…" Klaus replied, looking up at Marcel curiously "Why do you ask?"
"Just something I would love to witness with my own two eyes, the Originals dealing with pregnancy hormones…must be hell for all of you and a laugh for the rest of us" he chuckled.
Klaus smirked "You could say that, how are you doing with Bekah, still giving you a hard time?"
"I think it's gotten worse actually" Marcel replied with enthusiasm "Last week, I was having a friendly conversation with Camille and later that day I got a phone call from Diego telling me that the blonde Original was going crazy and tearing his bar to shreds. At first, I thought they were referring to you but when I got there; imagine my surprise when I came in to find her throwing all of the liquor against that wall" Marcel said pointing behind him "Without a care in the world, while being on the phone I might add about her stylist who just bought the entire Guess Fall collection and had it shipped here. The tables were broken, the walls were smeared with blood from some of my men, don't worry, they're not dead and when she did see me, she had this big smile on her face, she looked stunning and had the audacity to greet me a wonderful good morning, comment on the nice weather we're having and get this; told me that my blonde friend is a keeper" Marcel told him while chuckling at the memory, Klaus joined in on the laugh as he too found it amusing and so like his sister to throw a tantrum at such an hour of the day.
"I still don't understand why she's so pissed" Marcel muttered.
"There are four things on this planet my sister hates, my daggers, her coffin, betrayal, and me" Klaus stated while raising his eyebrows "You see why?"
"That was years ago, I'm over it, why can't she get over it?"
"You obviously do not know my sister" Klaus sighed with a smirk and looked at him "When you were a boy, I daggered her, you remember that right?"
He nodded.
"When you grew up, I un-daggered her, you once asked me why but I never gave you an answer, instead, I left her with you that morning after and never came back till the next day" Klaus said with a smirk, which got even bigger as if there was a hidden meaning to his words that Marcel didn't understand yet.
"Why do I get the feeling that I'm missing something?" Marcel voiced.
"I daggered her because she wrecked my sketches out of anger because I killed her fiancé, she could have gotten angry with me after I un-daggered her, even more so when I returned and yet she did nothing. Put the pieces together yet?"
Marcel shook his head, confused slightly.
"She's pissed because I killed her fiancé she was so madly in love with but she spends one day in this house alone with you and suddenly she's not mad at me anymore"
Marcel finally put the pieces together then, realizing that Klaus had known about them from the very beginning but didn't say a thing until that day he finally acted on them. Then again, he left him in that house alone with her, why would he do that unless…
"You're the devil disguised as a cocky one thousand year old hybrid, you planned the whole thing!" Marcel said in realization.
"I merely guided two lost souls together, hardly the work of the devil" Klaus said in defense.
"When she finds out what you did…" Klaus cut him off.
"She won't because you won't tell her and neither will I if you wish to live another day to see her pretty face and hear her witty tongue"
They both smiled at his blunt threat.
"So" Marcel chirped with new found excitement in his voice "When are you all planning to move back into your home?"
This caught Klaus's interest because this was the second time Marcel had mentioned him moving in "Why the sudden change of heart"
Marcel hesitated, remembering Elijah's words and his instruction on not telling Klaus what had happened that day and Marcel knew exactly why. Klaus did not take betrayal lightly and when he would hear about what Marcel did, he was a dead man.
"What can I say, I miss being a part of your dysfunctional family, I liked the dagger threats and the occasional temper tantrums around here, and it's too peaceful and friendly there"
Klaus and Marcel chuckled at his words, knowing all too well that the Mikaelson's were anything but peaceful and friendly with one another.
They then went silent; neither said a word for quite some time and Klaus used this moment of silence and peace to ask the one question that had plagued his mind ever since he returned to New Orleans to find Marcel here, alive and well.
"I'm curious, why did you stay here in New Orleans instead of looking for us?" Klaus asked calmly, his tone did held curiosity in them and Marcel noted that, but getting into his reasons and the deception he believed would then open more questions leading up to Elijah's run-in with a dagger and their 'chat'.
"That's a conversation we'll have when we're so drunk that we'll forget that we're vampires" he replied, spotting Diego approaching him from the entrance of the bar "I'll see you later, I have some business to take care of, since no one is lining up to take my place as king of New Orleans, someone has to run this place"
They both smirked at that for their own reasons they didn't want to voice to one another as Marcel patted him on his back and walked towards Diego and ushered them both out of the bar to take a walk down the streets to get as far from Klaus as they could.
They stopped in front of the witch store and Marcel turned Diego to face him.
"What you got for me?"
"I have sources that tell me he did break the curse in Mystic Falls and he was successful in creating hybrids but the night of some Christmas party he killed them all" Diego replied as he pulled his phone from his back pocket.
"Did you happen to find out why he suddenly slaughtered his own creations on one winter night?" Marcel asked.
"When he creates his hybrids, they are sired to him and they wanted to break that bond but when one did, he was killed so they plotted against him and some werewolf ratted them out and he killed them all but one" Diego explained, while flipping through his photos on the phone and stopping on the one with the girl and hand the phone over to Marcel.
"That's the werewolf who sold them out; I heard that she was working for some professor but he screwed her over to" Diego further explained.
Marcel recognized her and smirked in response. He could very much see Klaus attempting to kill her when Elijah would stop him because she was with child so that explained why she wasn't dead yet.
"You said that he missed one hybrid" Marcel stated, returning to the man in front of him and escaping his thoughts.
Diego took the phone from his hands and flipped through some pictures before landing on the picture he was looking for and handed it to Marcel who looked at it and did not recognize the boy at all.
"That's the hybrid that got away." Diego clarified. "He's also the first werewolf that Klaus turned into a hybrid." Diego explained.
"Who gave you all of this information, I hear Mystic Falls is a giant vampire magnet" Marcel said handing the cell phone back to him.
"There was a human we came across, Tess wanted to feed and found out he had vervain in him so he fought her but she snapped his neck. We were going to bury him but he came back alive, we thought he was transitioning but he was still human, then we decided to take him and drain him of the vervain and question him, his name was Matt Donovan"
Caroline heard her stomach growl lowly and she knew that she was hungry, she would have gotten something to eat before but after the morning incident in the kitchen, she didn't want a repeat of it, Klaus's threats were a bit too graphic for her sensitive stomach to take.
She ignored her stomach and continued to read her book, ignoring her stomach's ache in protest.
When her stomach made a protesting grumble just a few minutes later, she sighed heavily in frustration before closing her book rather harshly and slid off her bed. Straightening her dress and smoothing her hand over her tiny barely visible bump, she grabbed her phone, and unlocked it, noticing three miseds calls from Elena and one from Stefan. She would have to call Elena.
When she headed downstairs, she dialed Elena and once she was finished speaking to her best friend she called Stefan.
Caroline sighed happily because she hasn't heard their voices in so long.
She exited her room, only to collide with someone.
"Oomph" said a feminine voice.
Caroline righted herself and looked forward to see Hayley standing in front of her.
"What are you doing here?" Caroline asked, not bothering to hide the distaste for her in her tone.
"Hello to you to, Blondie." The brunette said, ignoring her question and shook her head as if brushing her comment off "I'm looking for Elijah and I thought he was with his sister"
"Well he's not so you can go now" Caroline spat, her voice dripping with venom.
Hayley looked a bit appalled by her attitude and it showed on her face along with a look of disgust and honestly, Caroline could care less because she wasn't planning on being her friend anytime soon. The blonde was very stubborn and when she didn't like somebody she didn't act fake.
"What's with the attitude, are you actually pissed at me because I slept with Klaus?" she asked with an innocent yet mocking tone and she had the audacity to look proud of her actions as well.
Caroline scoffed with a light but short laughter and rolled her eyes "Don't flatter yourself, he's over it and so am I, maybe you should get over it as well."
"Are you his mind and mouth now? How do you really know if he's over it?"
God she hated this girl, she batted her eyelashes at him, pouted those pouty lips at him and suddenly she wanted to be smug about her actions.
"Does Tyler know how proud you are of yourself for sleeping with the man that killed his mother?" she asked, because honestly, she knew that Hayley was supposedly Tyler's friend yet she slept with Klaus.
True, she betrayed Tyler by sleeping with Klaus as well but unlike Hayley, she wasn't bragging about it, she did feel bad about what she had done to him, she never regretted her decision that night but she wouldn't be Caroline if she didn't feel bad about it either.
Caroline shook her head when she didn't even so much as receive a snarky comment in response "Exactly, now unless you want me to drop you down a well or something, I'm busy"
Caroline made an attempt to move past her but Hayley stepped in front of her, blocking her from moving.
"If you see Elijah, could you mention that I'm looking for him?" she asked her voice softer and Caroline bit back the urge to scoff or laugh but instead chose a different and far more satisfying route.
"Stay away from Elijah, he's spoken for by a 500 year old sadistic vampire who takes jealously to a whole new level, it'd be a shame to find your remains scattered around the mansion when she finds out about your not so subtle flirting with her boyfriend" she smiled before brushing pass a dumbfounded Hayley, slightly proud of herself while internally patting herself on the back.
She walked down the hallways, internally telling her stomach to hold on a few more minutes as she rounded the corner and bumped into someone harshly before yelping in surprise and stumbling back slightly.
"Watch-" she froze when she saw that she bumped into Katherine who had a suggestive smirk on her lips as she folded her arms and stood in front of her.
"Where you're going?" Katherine smirked, finishing her sentence.
Caroline scowled, not in the mood for anymore bantering with the doppelganger bitch and she moved to continue walking when Katherine stepped in her way, preventing her from going forward.
"What?" Caroline snapped, getting impatient, she wanted to go and talk to Elena, having promised beforehand that she would have called to give her an update, and possibly give her a run-down on false life she was supposedly living and getting something to eat.
"I'm on baby duty" Katherine replied vaguely.
Caroline gave her a look of confusion and Katherine sighed internally "Elijah asked me very nicely and threw in a little extra to take you to the hospital"
"Why?" Caroline asked, more like shrieked "I'm fine"
"Of course you are but Klaus thinks you're going crazy so come on" Katherine replied casually and turned around to walk off, thinking that Caroline was behind her, only to realize that she was walking on her own and when she turned around, she found Caroline walking back around the corner, opposite her direction and she sighed before walking after her.
"Where are you going?" Katherine asked in an annoyed tone.
"He thinks I'm going crazy, I'll show him crazy…" Katherine heard her mumble and smirked but she really didn't want to deal with this right now.
"You can deal with him later, let's go" she said with a tiny pout but Caroline never turned around to see it.
"He's not the one carry a hybrid child inside her stomach, I am, and how dare he call me crazy?" she said, mostly to herself as she made her way to his study where she hoped he was and not his bedroom.
"Caroline…" Katherine said but Caroline cut her off, she was walking faster now as so was Katherine to keep up with her.
"No, I'll give him a piece of my mind, he calls me crazy…" she let out "He slept with Hayley and he calls me crazy…" she said in a mumble.
"He doesn't know what a woman goes through when she's pregnant, Caroline" Katherine said firmly, causing her to freeze in her footsteps.
Caroline waited, knowing she had more to say.
"He can see it with his own two eyes but he can't fully understand until he experiences it for himself, if you go into that study because he thinks you're going crazy and you know you're not, he's not going to understand no matter how much he tells you that he does, no man knows what we go through when we're with child"
"So what, I'm supposed to let it go?" Caroline asked her voice soft and a bit too calm.
"No, if you don't get angry, you're going to start crying and I don't want any tears on our trip to the hospital" Katherine replied wittily, causing Caroline to roll her eyes.
"Wait till you get back, then you can yell at him and throw stuff and you'll feel much better, trust me"
Caroline unconsciously scoffed at her words "Trust you?"
Katherine paused to think about it for a while before speaking "You have a point there, trust the human Katherine who's been in your shoes before"
"A long time ago" Caroline retorted.
"It doesn't matter, let's just go so I can get back and receive my massage"
Caroline turned around and raised an eyebrow at her in question.
"I take you to the hospital and make sure you're both physically and mentally healthy and I get a very special massage from very skilled hands"
Upon realization, Caroline regretted wanting to know more. Immediately, she followed Katherine out of the mansion.
Caroline walked in the mansion she has been living in for the past three months with a numb look on her face and she didn't even bother to remove her coat, instead, she headed straight for the living room so she could sit down and really processes the news about her pregnancy.
She very vaguely remembered Katherine trying to shake her out of her trance like state but nothing worked and Caroline had every right to be like this because this was just too much, too much to take in at once.
She heard heels clicking against the floor, indicating Katherine's presence in the room but she couldn't muster any will to look up just to make sure, instead, she kept going around the recent news just given to her in hopes that she might have imagined it in her mind and not actually heard a doctor say those words.
She internally hoping, wishing that she had imagined the doctor say those words and she was really going crazy.
"You need to snap out of it because you're starting to worry me" she heard Katherine say.
Her head snapped at Katherine's direction in question, but Katherine shrugged "You're not the one who has to answer to a sadistic thousand year old hybrid if something happens to you"
Caroline slowly turned away from Katherine to the front of her as her eyes darted everywhere while her mind ram rampant and her nerves sent her into frenzy.
Just this morning, she was having her own inner rant about the joys of motherhood and now she really had her work cut out for her.
Elijah stepped into the room and Katherine immediately approached him with a cold look on her face.
"Fix her" she hissed at him in panic. Elijah was completely confused by the situation.
"What seems to be the problem?" Elijah asked, looking towards the couch where Caroline was seated.
"The doctors told her something and I have no idea what it is but whatever it is, it's freaking her out and by extension, freaking me out too" Katherine replied in a whisper from behind him as he took a step forward.
Elijah looked behind him at Katherine and smiled "Thank you for taking her to the hospital"
Katherine smirked and turned around, walking towards the exit "I'll be expecting my payment tonight" she said while exiting the room.
He smirked before turning back around and approaching Caroline who had yet to acknowledge his presence. He thought that she was just ignoring him, but by the wild look and panic splashed on her face, he came to the conclusion that she didn't even know that he was there because she was trapped in her own thoughts.
"Caroline" he called.
Her eyes froze from its work and looked up at him, noticing the look of confusion on him as he silently questioned her actions.
"Is something wrong?" he asked slowly, taking a seat next to her.
"Two…of…" she couldn't even finish the sentence.
Her mouth opened a few times and closed as well, unable to think a clear thought with those words running rampant in her mind.
Most women who wanted children, who were blessed enough to get pregnant even when told they couldn't, would be trilled but not her, she was scared more than anything.
Can she do this?
Can they do this?
Can he do this?
Klaus entered the living room after his three second conversation with Katherine regarding Caroline's trip to the hospital, he ignored her occasional witty remarks enough to get that she wasn't in the room with Caroline and if he wanted details to ask her so here he was taking in the scene in front of him with a curious eye.
Caroline sat oddly still, like completely still, no slouching, she looked tense and uncomfortable and he hated that. He wanted her to be comfortable here and she obviously wasn't. His brother looked worried about her as he sat next to her.
"What's wrong?" he asked, alarming them both with his presence.
"I've been asking the same question myself, brother" Elijah replied, standing up and approaching him "All she said was 'Two of' and that's it"
Klaus nodded and approached her slowly before taking a seat in the spot previously occupied by Elijah as he took in her appearance.
She looked stunning, obviously… but she looks afraid. Of what, he didn't know but he knew he would protect her from whatever she was afraid of no matter what.
"Caroline" he called and her head spun in his direction, her hair soaring around her elegantly as they fall with grace over her shoulders, trickling down to just above her cleavage as it shined with the sunlight that escaped through the curtains, giving her a glow that could hold no candle to the sun itself.
Momentarily dazed by her beauty, he shook his head internally before speaking "What's wrong?"
She gulped and looked into his eyes, noting that he was clearly worried about her and she was freaking them both out with her silence and inability to speak so she decided to just blurt it out rather than try to understand it.
"We're having twins".
After receiving word of a new vampire in town, Marcel decided that with the new vampires entering New Orleans lately that seemed to be here for the Originals, he wanted to welcome this vampire himself, rather than have his men simply snap his neck and bring him to the mansion.
He approached the unknown man from behind as he gulps a shot glass filled with Bourbon and took a seat next to him and quickly ordered a drink from Camille who was giving him the evil eye and he deserved it. Since their date he hasn't called her and he'd be lying if he said that it didn't have to do with an old flame.
"You're new here" Marcel stated, looking at the man to his left as he smirked against his refreshed shot glass of bourbon before knocking it back in one gulp.
"Am I that obvious?" he shot back.
"I make it my business to welcome any and all vampires to my town" Marcel smirked, causing him to freeze for a quick second before turning towards Marcel and smirked.
"Are you sure it's your town, you don't seem too sure" he said, pointing a finger at him as Marcel looked a bit taken back by his words "You've been in charge of this town but you never actually owned it"
He then smiled at Marcel who was still a little speechless.
"I'm Stefan Salvatore, you're Marcellus Gerard and I'm looking for the witches of New Orleans, I have spells to do, bodies to possess…" he trailed off with a smirk.
"The witches in my town don't do magic without my okay" Marcel smirked evilly.
Stefan smirked "Impressive, but Davina no longer has any magic so how can you really tell if they're doing magic?"
Marcel was rendered speechless yet again by this vampire.
"Never mind, I'll find them myself" he said with a sigh and got up from his sitting position before dusting his Henley shirt off and straightening himself. He dropped a couple of bills on the counter before patting Marcel on his back and exiting the bar calmly.
Marcel shook himself from his thoughts and called Thierry from across the bar. Silas was in front of Marcel in a flash; Marcel gave him a scolding look.
"Sorry" he mumbled in shame.
"Follow that guy that just walked out of here, be discreet and try not to get caught"
He nodded and quickly made his way out of the bar, spotting the guy walking down the street on the other side of the street and he followed him.
