I've decided a long time ago and I'm just now telling you guys that I'll posting these every thursday and I might work out the same schedule for my fic Senior Year for every Tuesday because Julie Plec is sinking both her shows and we need some klaroline if we're not going to get it every Tuesday or Thursday.
Now this chapter kinda ran away with me, I have plenty to save in regards to Elena so...for all the Elena fans out there *waves* this is not a fun chapter for yall so just a warning.
BTW: xxLeanniexx, I loved your nonchalance at the thought of Hayley dying. I always think that if Hayley die, I might be sorry about the baby then I had a dream and I just shrugged at her headless body while Klaus smirked over her dead body and be like *Finna Get My Wifey*
Chapter 13: Link and Unlink
Sophie placed the cell phone to her ear and took a deep breath in and out as she waited for the hybrid in question to answer his phone and the witches, along with Silas and his witch, Adele stared at her. She hated the attention she was getting but wasn't like she could ask them to stop staring at her.
"Ah, haven't heard from my friendly neighborhood Witch in some time, not happy are we?"
She rolled her eyes at his obvious jest and cleared her throat of any nerves and fear.
"She's past six months; we need to check to see what supernatural your children are to be born as and to do that, we'll need her here at the Cemetery" Sophie stated, surprised that her voice was steady and not shaking in her boots as her feet were currently doing.
Klaus chuckled amusingly into the cell phone "If we're using basic instincts here and our vast knowledge in the supernatural then I thinks it's safe to assume that first and foremost the child will be a wolf. I was born one, Hayley was born one…you get where I'm going with this, right?
Of course she knew the child would be a werewolf, it was obvious, but she needed Hayley at the cemetary or else Silas would compel them to kill one another and she did not allow her sister to sacrifice herself for nothing. She did not watch her niece get sacrificed only to just accept the fact that she was dead. She would rid this town of Marcel and hopefully they would be able to find Davina and complete the ritual so that she could get her niece back.
One thing that Sophie would not allow anymore of was death. She couldn't. If she had to give up her hold on the pregnant werewolf just so that she didn't end up killing one of her own then so be it. She would find another way to motivate the hybrid, maybe kidnap and hold his little sister. It would be difficult because she was an original but she could find a way around it..
"You're a hybrid, logically, you're not supposed to be able to procreate because of your vampire side but nature is a bitch sometimes" The brunette said as she kept her voice emotionless and neutral.
Klaus chuckled again at her, and she wondered how long it would take to persuade a hybrid to bring his pregnant werewolf there to do the damn linking spell and be done with it
"That, we both can agree on, as much as I would love to comply to your request, the thing is, I don't trust the lot of you. You've linked her to your own life, claiming to be suicidal so I'm sure that you can excuse my hesitance" The Original replied as he held a glass of bourbon in hand.
She could hear the amusement thick in his voice and she had to roll her eyes in response, she had almost forgotten that there were eyes on her.
Almost.
"Look I don't care what she's cooking in there either personally, but Sabine got a vision and she got all the witches nervous so we just need to do one tiny little spell using Sabine's Spiritual magic just to make sure that the baby is as natural as any werewolf pregnancy."
There was silence on the other end of the line.
"I still don't trust you witch" he growled stiffly.
"The feeling is mutual. Look if you don't come to us, we'll have to come to you and I don't want to start a losing fight with the Original family who cannot be killed…"
She could feel the evil smirk of satisfaction from him on the other end of the line and she had to refrain herself from actually rolling her eyes at how smug the Original bastard is—
Pun intended.
"If you want you can come with her or one of your siblings" Sophie offered, hoping he'll bite the bait and be done with this conversation because she was beginning to get more afraid by the minute by this Silas guy. She had thought he was in his tomb prison but some stupid person let him out, probably for the cure.
There was more silence.
Then there was a sigh of frustration or anger or something, she really didn't care, she just needed the girl down at the cemetery immediately.
"Fine, I'll send her down with Elijah this afternoon. If anything happens to her or that child, there is no hole small or dark enough for any of you to hide in." He warned her and with that the line went dead.
Sophie literally sighed in relief now that the conversation was over, no one was going to be compelled to kill anyone and everything was just peachy for the moment.
Now how did one tell a two thousand year old immortal being that they couldn't do magic without getting caught and killed for it?
"Marcel won't know of this little spell we'll be doing. Adele will be blocking anything or anyone that is able to detect any magic going on during this spell" that was a lie because he knew the witch Marcel had no longer had her powers because some powerful Witch took it from her, he'd want to know the name but Marcel was having a hard enough time as it is to remember the woman's name so no point in compelling it out of him if he didn't even remember.
Plus, why tell them that the one thing keeping them from doing magic no longer is an issue and risk a war while he's trying to make sure he doesn't die?
Klaus slid the phone back into his back pocket and sighed, smirking as the Witch bought into his acting skills. He could care less if they ripped the child from the woman's womb and scarified it, it didn't belong to him so he didn't care but apparently Caroline did. The pouty brunette was still alive only because of Caroline. Even Katherine was able to swallow her pride to thank Hayley or even make the attempt. All Hayley has been doing was giving Caroline the 'evil eye' and her bitter attitude.
Why extend freedom to someone who was not grateful of it?
Still, he might as well send her off to the Witches; the information could prove to be useful in reference to Caroline and the children that were growing inside of her everyday.
Speaking of which and not that he was taking advice from a dead Witch that just so happened to be related to the Bennett who was among the long list of people who hated him, he needed to go check on Caroline. He had to make sure that she was inside the house at all times. He didn't need Marcel's vampires finding out that there were two pregnant women living in his home. Marcel already knew this but he didn't know that one of them was a werewolf.
Moreover, he also did not need Marcel to know that whatever power he had keeping the witches at bay was nothing to the powerful Witch he had in his clutches—
Yes, Bonnie Bennett was not at his beck and call and she was only there to protect Caroline, something he was not against at all, but it'd still be a lot easier if she would do what he asked.
He'd settle for Kol though, truth be told, Klaus was actually glad that Kol was back from the dead. He was still annoying as ever and even more so with his powers now but the man died thinking that he had planned to allow the Gilberts to kill him and Klaus may be a cruel and wicked and diabolical and a lot more words he didn't care to state but he wouldn't kill his brother. Not for good at least.
"Elijah" he called firmly but not too loudly, hoping that he would hear him and he would not have to actually go out of his way to find him, but alas he had to.
He did not want to go to Elijah's room because he did not want the sight of them in his mind, their little bubble of bliss, taunting him and mocking him. Katherine was another person that Klaus wanted to kill desperately, but he couldn't because the doppelganger was also under Caroline's protection.
He reached in his back pocket and pulled his cell phone out, not wanting to go anywhere near his brother's room, he decided that a very quick phone call would suffice.
"Hello, Elijah's phone" said a thick and annoying voice.
"Put Elijah on the phone now" Klaus ordered without so much of a greeting.
There was some rustling, followed by some giggles before his brother finally took the phone from the girl. "Brother," Came Elijah's voice.
"I need you to take the werewolf to the witches this afternoon, they want to do a quick check on the child to make sure it's a wolf and ease the other witches who got spooked by one" not wanting to stay on the phone any longer than necessary, he hung up quickly.
"Klaus…" Caroline called, running down the stairs and heading into the living room where she found Klaus chatting on his phone with someone she didn't know of and frankly she didn't care either because she wanted out.
Like seriously, she was so close to going insane because of being stuck in the godforsaken Mikaelson mansion.
Seeing the same people all the time, hearing the same voices…she has been in New Orleans for a couple of months now and she hasn't even been able to leave the house of her own fault, but now she wanted to go sightseeing. New Orleans was beautiful after all... She wanted to hear the music and see the beauty that Klaus told her about when he left her that voicemail a couple of months back. It felt like a lifetime has passed, to be honest.
She was pregnant with twins, the most she could do was at least go out and try New Orlean's famous gumbo.
"Yes love?" He asked while making sure whoever on the phone could not hear him speaking to her.
"I wanna go out" she simply stated as she crossed her arms over her chest.
He smirked before he said, "No."
The Original then focused his attention on the phone call that he was currently having.
Caroline just gaped at him in complete shock and utter bewilderment as he kept talking as if she hadn't said a thing to begin with and as if she wasn't standing in the room at all.
That angered her more than his answer for some reason.
She just stood there, hands on her hips and she stared at him, waiting until he was done with his phone call. When he looked up, he noticed that she was still standing there and he knew from the look on her face that she was angry and rightfully so if he was being completely honest... Caroline needed to stay safe inside with Elijah and Katherine and Rebekah and Kol and Bonnie, in an environment where she was almost completely safe, where she had more than one original looking after her, an all powerful witch and a 500 year old vampire who has been manipulating her way into life.
The way he saw it, she was safest in the house for the moment, from Marcel, from Silas, from the witches. All of those people that wished to harm the Original by using the woman that he had strong feelings for as bait.
"Who killed your puppy?" He questioned as a smirk crept onto his lips.
"I want to go out, Klaus." The blonde replied, ignoring his lame attempt at making her laugh.
"I just said no" he stated as if he was confused.
"No?" she questioned.
"No" He nodded.
"Klaus, I'm not your damn prisoner! I have a right to go out when I wish too! I get that you're trying to protect me and our children, but that still doesn't give you the right to keep me here when I wish to see what this city has to offer."
"You're not a prisoner, love" he whispered softly and stood up. He slowly approached her "I just want you to be out of harms ways. Silas is out there. Marcel is out there and those damned witches will do anything to get their hands on you if they find out that you're pregnant with my—our children" he continued "I can't let that happen and the only way to keep you away from them all is in this house where you have more than two Originals to protect you, an all powerful witch, and a five hundred year old vampire who will do anything to make sure that she never gets on my bad side again"
Caroline huffed in annoyance, but she agreed with him. She was safest inside among numbers in Originals and Bonnie and she didn't know what Silas wanted with Klaus but whatever it was couldn't be good. Her life didn't depend on Klaus now that she was human but her friends lives did. Stefan and Elena's lives were tied to Klaus and if staying inside prevented Silas or Marcel from ever attempting to kill Klaus and by extension; her friends then she could handle another couple of months until Marcel and Silas's met their inevitable deaths.
Before she could say anything on the matter though, there was a knock on the door and both Caroline and Klaus's head spun in the direction of the door in confusion.
None of them were expecting company and anyone who lived there usually just walked in rather than knocked so Caroline could understand when Klaus pointed at the staircase to upstairs and slightly pushed her in the direction as well. She hurried up the stairs and watched from around the corner as Klaus cautiously opened the door and he smiled at the visitor before opening the door wider. When Caroline spotted Marcel, she exhaled the breath that she has been holding.
She still needed to be worried about Marcel, but Silas was a larger threat than some vampire Klaus sired.
Then again, Klaus raised Marcel which meant that Marcel knew everything because Klaus taught him.
Then again, maybe she should be panicking…
Klaus allowed Marcel entrance into his home and watched him carefully, knowing that look on Marcel's face was a sign of cautiousness and worry as they entered the living area where Klaus prepared a drink for himself and Marcel and they both sat down on the couch.
"Where's your blonde guest, the feisty pregnant girl?" Marcel asked with a tiny smirk after taking a sip of his drink.
"She's upstairs resting and how has dear Rebekah been?" Klaus asked, causing Marcel to smirk against his drink before taking a slight sip and sighing in satisfaction as the amber liquid did its job.
"I'm pretty sure she was the one who left those dozen stakes in my bedroom with my name marked on all of them"
Marcel and Klaus chuckled.
"She's spiteful, that one" Marcel commented, taking another sip of his drink.
"I always say my little sister is the best company when she's in her box" Klaus mumbled jokingly and Marcel snorted but before he could reply, something shiny and fast flashed next to him and before he knew it, he heard Klaus beside him grunting and growling in pain and looking angrily at the entrance to see his sister, smirking at them both, leaning against the entrance wall as she folded her arms across her chest.
He looked towards Klaus to find said dagger lodged in his chest and Klaus clutched it tightly before he slowly dragged it out of him and flung it to the side.
"Don't forget Nik, I haven't forgiven you yet" Rebekah said and then her eyes darted to Marcel and her frown turned into a scowl "Neither have I forgiven you" she then smiled mockingly at them and leaned off the entrance wall "Also, it would be in your best interest to remember that the only reason I'm in this godforsaken town is because of my more pleasant of brothers and my blonde friend or else Marcel might as well thought me dead"
"Little sister, let's end this feud once and for all, what will it take for me to regain your forgiveness?" Klaus asked suddenly, smirking as he did so and Rebekah watched him carefully in caution and wariness.
"You want my forgiveness and I want my happiness, would you look at that, something neither of us will ever get" she spat before turning on her heels and exiting the room.
Klaus downed the remainder of his drink before sighing heavily and turning to meet Marcel's amused smirk "She is spiteful"
Marcel rolled his eyes and finished his drink with one gulp.
"You want to tell me why you've barged into my home unannounced like that a while ago, and Rebekah's anger is not the reason, I know that for a fact" Klaus asked, with a smirk, a knowing smirk. He used this knowing smirk of his when he knew that he was right about something.
"You're right, I'm not here to tell you that your sister is trying to scare me into begging for her forgiveness, actually its much worse" he paused for a while before continuing "A friend of yours came into town a couple of days ago, he said his name was Stefan Salvatore but that's not the part that irks me"
Kol chose that moment to enter the room with a smirk on his face when he spotted Marcel and Klaus chatting among themselves
"What's going on mates?" The younger Mikaelson brother questioned, interrupting the two from their conversation.
"Marcel here just told me that Stefan Salvatore just arrived and yet he hasn't even entered through the doors Marcel so rudely barged himself into" Klaus replied in a slightly mocking tone.
Kol's face grew serious then, knowing that the person Marcel had seen might not have been Stefan but Silas and if that was the case, it would explain why Stefan Salvatore was not within the Mikaelson mansion walls. If it was actually Stefan, he would have been in the house by now because Caroline was there. After all, the younger Salvatore and the feisty blonde that his older brother impregnated were the best of friends...
"You don't say" Kol then sat on the couch opposite them and leaned back "Did you find anything suspicious about him?"
"Yes, actually. He knew stuff about me, things that I haven't told a single soul… Care to explain, Kol?"
Kol sat up immediately and the name that left his lips wasn't one that Klaus was expecting to hear.
"Silas," Kol answered.
Klaus sat up in slight worry "How would you know? He took the form of Stefan now?"
Marcel sat up now, confused, worried, very worried and frustrated "You mean the two thousand year old immortal witch that's supposed to be stuck in a tomb forever?"
Kol smirked at Marcel's annoyed and frustrated tone.
"Yes, that's the very one, you know about him?"
Bonnie then entered the room, confused as ever after noticing everyone's worried and on-guard looks.
"What's going on?" she asked and everybody's eyes flickered to her for a moment before returning to each other.
Kol's eyes stayed on her "Silas is in town"
Bonnie froze in her steps and her eyes narrowed as anger and pain seeped through her entire being, causing her fingers to tingle in anger at the sound of Silas's name and the memory of her father's blood everywhere, his throat slit and his eyes wide. She would never forget the moment Silas killed her father and she would be damned if she didn't get to kill him after what he has done.
"How do you know?" Bonnie asked then, standing behind the couch, directly behind Kol.
"Marcel said he saw Stefan but this Stefan read his mind" Kol replied with a smirk "I think we can safely assume that the actual Stefan can do many things, but mind reading is most definitely not one of them." He clarified before he looked straight at Marcel.
"How do you know about Silas?" He questioned, his interest piqued.
Marcel scoffed before he replied. "Witches are worse than high school teenagers, no offense" he said, gesturing to Kol and Bonnie who dismissed it with their nonchalance stare "They gossip among each other like crazy, in the 30's, I ran into some people called the Travelers, I needed information they knew and they told me about this two thousand year old immortal warlock who has been locked in a stoned prison with the cure for vampirism. I was very excited to go get this cure but they told me that in order to get the cure, I had to wake him and if I was to wake him, he would bring down the veil that kept the living world and the other side separate which would allow every dead supernatural being to come back from the dead and I realized that it would be a suicide mission, so I moved on with my life"
He then looked around him with slight irritation in his eyes.
"You mean to tell me that some idiot who knew all of this, still went after the cure and woke him in the process? Who is this idiot anyway?" Marcel questioned as he shook his head at how stupid that person was.
Before anyone could reply, Kol did, with glee "A hypocritical, selfish doppelganger who sincerely believes that the world revolves around her and she can do no wrong"
Caroline, who had been listening to the conversation the whole time, took offense to Kol's words and marched into the room, ready to defend her friend. Bonnie gasped at his words, also ready to defend her.
"Elena is not selfish" Caroline said firmly, pointing at him as he did, also alerting everyone, including a now furious Klaus of her presence.
"She also does not believe that she can do no wrong" Bonnie chimed in as she shot Kol a glare.
Kol stood then and turned around, facing Bonnie and Caroline who now stood next to Bonnie, staring at Kol with heated glares while Klaus and Marcel watched in amusement and confusion
"If you do not believe my words to be true, then tell Elena about your condition and who the father is" he then proceeded to turn back and sit down smugly.
Bonnie and Caroline grew silent immediately, knowing for a fact that at this moment, since she became a vampire and since her relationship with Damon, she has been unpredictable.
No one could really know what the blonde was going to say next or do next for that matter.
Bonnie knew that if Elena was to find out about Caroline's pregnancy and who the father was, then she would scold her for doing something that the blond didn't even regret. Caroline would argue with Elena, Elena would do the same with Caroline and they would end up being mad at one another. She didn't know what Elena would do. She might want Caroline to stay in Mystic Falls and raise the baby among them without having Klaus know about it at all which was wrong or maybe they would convince Caroline that her children might be Damon's or something, or Damon might and Elena would agree, the sire bond still worked after all, didn't it?
Caroline couldn't tell Elena about who the father of her children was because Caroline knew how Elena would take it. Elena would feel be betrayed because she slept with Klaus, Damon would slut shame her and who knew…maybe Elena would join in. She honestly didn't know that this point. Human Elena would not blame her for sleeping with Klaus, human Elena would not even scold her for having feelings for him either because human Elena would see the hypocrisy in that. Vampire Elena knew that Damon was a bad guy, but chose to be with him, but if Caroline was to choose Klaus, and Elena wouldn't agree and most likely would try to sabotage her friend's relationship. Caroline heard from Stefan about his little fling with Rebekah and Damon when he slept with her as well, no doubt Elena would do the same for her.
"Wait a minute" Marcel interrupted them before they could say anything because something wasn't right "Did Katherine Pierce change her name or something?"
Katherine, who had quite the timing, entered the room, having heard everything from Elijah's room and so has Elijah but she actually vamp-speeded into her clothing to enter into this conversation. She would love to sit around a car filled with Elena hating vampires and just add to how dull she really was.
She knew Elijah was dressing to come with her as well.
"I would never, in any life, change my name to something as dull and annoying as Elena, Marcellus" she said, alarming everyone of her entrance into the living room. She then made a move to add to Kol's words.
"Elena believes that no one should be friends or even sex buddies with anyone that played any part in her tragic life she had to suffer through and she casts them out when they do" Katherine added, causing all of them to turn to her.
Kol smirked and pointed at her with a nod because he agreed with the doppelganger.
"Whoa, so let me get this straight…there's another doppelganger?" Marcel asked, but they all ignored him.
Elijah then showed up behind her, fixing his cuffs "I will agree that vampirism has changed Elena as a person. I do agree with your statements on some level but Elena is not a complete hypocrite, especially given her relationship with Damon Salvatore" he then looked up with a ghost of a smirk, an amused one at that.
Bonnie unconsciously scoffed at his words "You wanna bet?"
Bonnie gasped and covered her mouth in shock, actually surprised of what she had said. She didn't mean to, she just blurted it out accidentally.
Caroline gaped at Bonnie, also in shock. Bonnie lowered her head in slight shame, unable to take those three words back.
As if there wasn't enough words in Elena's defense from her best friends of all people, Rebekah re-entered the room and smirked as she joined Kol on the couch, as if she was going to enjoy having this discussion.
"I remember sweet delicate Elena scolding Damon, who's a fully grown boy and able to make his own decisions about sleeping with the woman who tried to kill her" Rebekah said in a mocking tone and all of the Original brothers rolled their eyes but Kol groaned in distaste.
"I'd rather not know about your extracurricular activities, dear sister." He said as he eyed his little sister.
Rebekah smirked at his distaste "Sucks for you then" she turned back to the crew "I'm guessing she must have done the same to Stefan as well"
"If I remember correctly, Damon and Stefan both tried to kill her on numerous occasions" Klaus then added, with an amused tone "Damon also tried to kill her brother countless times, Bonnie, he did turn your mother into a vampire, forcing her to yet again, leave you and it was all because Elena's life is far too important than anybody else's…"
Bonnie gritted her teeth, angry for hearing the truth but even more angry for hearing it from Klaus of all people.
"Damon did turn Matt's sister into a vampire before Stefan drove a stake through her back" Rebekah mentioned almost dismissively then she turned to Caroline "Didn't the infamous older Salvatore also try to kill you a bunch of times?"
Caroline responded by glaring at the blonde because Rebekah was making it so hard to even defend Elena when in fact, Damon and Stefan were no better.
Katherine, who had been looking at Elijah and shaking her head most of the time, finally spoke up "I can't believe you're defending Elena of all people. You'd be incredibly stupid to believe that her high and mighty attitude has anything to do with her vampirism status. Elena is who she is because she's always been that way and she's always felt that way, being a vampire only heightened her feelings"
Kol grinned from his seat and waved his hands dramatically; bowing in his seat "I rest my case"
Klaus had decided he had enough of this Elena/Anti Elena discussion because he did not go away from an Elena free city to hear about her in his own home "Elena is not worth arguing over everyone, so please…"
Everyone agreed with this and Bonnie and Caroline were a little glad to be done with it because Elena might not be completely trusting at the moment, but she was still their best friend. They had the right to defend her if she wasn't there to do it herself, but they couldn't because the Originals were right about her, everything they said was true.
Marcel had just sat there and soaked all the information in and after everything, he wanted to know what had happened in Mystic Falls with this Elena the new doppelganger and the Originals, but now was not the time to ask, at this point, knowing Klaus, he would be cautious to tell him anything, thinking that he would use it against him.
Klaus stood and walked over to Elijah, silently asking him to walk with him as they went into the study and shut the doors before he turned to a curious Elijah.
"Make sure that Hayley doesn't say a word to the witches about Caroline and that those witches are left with the only information they were given"
Elijah nodded in response.
"If she says anything about Caroline, I cannot spare her life and by extension, that child Elijah so nothing of what transpires in this house must not leave her lips"
After many attempts of seducing Elijah, which soon became tiring for Hayley and Elijah he had decided to keep his distance from her. He made no move to make any sort of discussion with her, he made no move to give her any kind of comfort and most importantly, he made sure that his responses to her questions were short and innocent.
As he slowed to the Cemetery, his lips slipped when she said something and he might have complimented her—
He did compliment her and now he was beginning to regret it.
From the corner of his eyes, he could see Hayley smiling shyly before reaching out to place her hand on his and that's when he snapped—
Mentally.
He stopped the car immediately, deciding that he would walk the rest of the way, rather than drive in because he couldn't tolerate another moment with her. He has always been the gentleman when it came to the opposite sex but this woman was pulling the monster out of him.
And what good would that do?
Furthermore, if Katerina was to hear of this, if she hadn't heard from it from everyone else already, she would definitely try to kill her in her sleep and it was by Caroline's grace that Hayley was still alive, the least he could do was endure this painful afternoon that he had to suffer through.
He turned to her and yanked his arm away from her furiously, making Hayley gasp lightly at how vicious his action was.
"You need to stop this lame attempt at seducing me or else I will retaliate and not in the way you would think, regardless of your current condition"
Hayley stared wide eyed at Elijah, in shock at his words. She thought that Elijah was the kind Original would most definitely not hurt a woman who was with child of all things.
"You would physically harm a woman that is carrying a child?" She asked softly, as if she hadn't heard anything he had said before those words.
His eyes hardened in disgust "Of course not" he spat "But at this point, I no longer see a pregnant woman, but a girl that got herself in more trouble than she could handle and in an attempt to use whatever womanly assets you have remaining to get me to reason with Niklaus to let you and the Lockwood boy go free…" Hayley cut him off.
"You're using me as a decoy for Caroline because none of you want the witches to know about her so they can use the blonde brat against you all" she accused him and he sighed heavily, completely glad Niklaus was not here to hear her disrespect Caroline so verbally.
"That is quite true" he agreed "They are a threat to my family and I will do whatever necessary to keep harm from them at all cost"
Her eyes softened then "You once did the same for me" she trailed off and placed her hand on his again but he pulled back instantly.
"At the time, you had my trust and respect, but you lost both after I learned the truth. It would be wise to stop your advances because you have absolutely no affect on me and if Katerina should receive word of said advances, you will have no one to save you from her wrath" he then whispered "You have my word" then he exited the car as swiftly as possible and awaited until Hayley soaked in his words before she too exited the car and slammed the door shut.
They walked, Elijah in front, Hayley behind into the cemetery grounds but before they could even turn their head towards the directions where the witches usually met, he swiftly turned around, remembering Klaus's earlier threat about Hayley's loose lips "If you inform the witches about Caroline or her condition in any way, shape, or form, you needn't even fear the fact that Niklaus will most surely kill you, but you should fear mine because when I do get angry, it isn't a pretty site." He told her. "Consider yourself warned."
She nodded reluctantly in acceptance and they soon went about their way.
"Remember what you all must do?" Silas asked, looking around him while stifling a cough lodged in his throat, not wanting to show any sign of weakness to them and give them any ideas, not yet anyways.
They all looked to each other before returning their focus to him, nodding in acceptance.
"You are all to keep whichever Original occupied, chat with him, compliment him, fuck him, I don't care just occupy him or her or them while Sophie, Adele and I do what we must and under no circumstances should you tell them of my presence, Adele's presence or what is transpiring here" he looked to them all "Do we understand each other?" They all nodded and he smiled "Fantastic"
He then looked to Adele who brought towards him a bowl and a knife and he took the knife from her while she held the bowl out in front of him. He lifted his hand above the bowl and using the knife, he slit his hand, allowing the flow of blood to trickle into the bowl, filling it to the adequate amount needed for the spell. Once Adele signaled to him that she was finished, he held onto his hand as it slowly healed itself, because of what was happening to him, unfortunately, it was causing his body to heal slower than usual but he wouldn't be worried about that in the upcoming years, he only had to wait a few.
She took the bowl and mumbled a spell over it; the entire room flickered as the candles flew harshly with the wind, trying as hard as they could to stay lit. The blood boiled in the bowl and Silas could feel a part of himself being ripped away from him immediately, he was glad the spell was working and even more glad Adele could do it. It was quite difficult to find a witch powerful enough to do that certain spell, but it was worth it. She would be able to get the girl to ingest the blood and finally the spell would be complete and all he had to do was wait patiently.
He heard the entrance of Elijah, greeting the witches as they sent Hayley to the back while the others stayed in front, distracting Elijah. He knew they would send him. He was slightly hoping that Klaus would have came himself and maybe he would have waited until the blood was inside of Hayley and then gloat at Klaus's face but it would be more pleasurable if he stared into his son's face while he did so.
He was hoping for a boy, or he would be surely pissed if he was transferred into a female's body.
He hid in the shadows, away from Hayley's eyes and watched as Sophie easesd the girl's worries by telling her that they were just going to make her drink a red colored herb and do a spell that made sure that the child would be a wolf and not a hybrid like its father.
He watched as she cast the spell to unlink herself from Hayley with ease, she looked completely devastated to lose her leverage but he didn't care about their pointless war, he was ensuring his survival to rule the mortal and supernatural world. Their little lover's spat was nothing compared to the war that would surely happen when he sat on the throne.
Adele joined in shortly after and introduced herself to the pregnant werewolf. She told the girl that she would be doing the spell in a different way to make sure that it wouldn't be detected. Adele told Hayley that this spell would ensure that the unborn child was indeed a wolf and not a hybrid. The brunette nodded and she allowed Silas' witch to do the spell. The warlock tried to read her mind, but he simply couldn't because his supernatural powers were slowly disappearing. Silas could still compel whomever he wished to though.
He watched as Hayley drank his blood, drop by glorious drop and he smiled wickedly as she finished it and Adele did the spell that was necessary with Sophie's knew that the spell was complete when he could feel the tie between the two. He finally got what he wanted and now he had to wait and oh what joy he'd have in waiting.
When Hayley and Elijah left, he killed Adele easily. He snapped her neck in a swift motion because dark magic was one that irritated him to no end. Once the woman lay lifeless on the floor, he ripped her heart out just to make sure that she wouldn't come back to life and reverse the spell that linked him to the girl and the unborn child.
Sophie, as well as the other witches were absolutely horrified at what he did but it didn't matter to him because he got what he wanted. With that, he compelled the lot before he made his way towards Sophie.
"Call Elijah immediately and inform him that Hayley has been unlinked and she is no longer tied to your pathetic life. Claim that you trust them enough to take down this Marcel without holding a pregnant woman hostage because that's just pathetic"
He then flashed out of the mausoleum, absolutely happy but stopped to catch his breath and he unexpectedly coughed. The blood from his throat trickled down his hand and soon fell to the floor. He wiped his hands on his jeans before he flashed into the woods.
Elijah hung up after his word with Sophie and informed Hayley of her freedom. She was quite happy to leave the Mikaelson and their 'crazy family dynamic' but he was also relieved and cautious. They had given up their one leverage to use against them, should they decide to no longer help which meant that something was wrong but he had no way of knowing what it was.
It wasn't like he had a witch that could tell when another witch was practicing magic because Bonnie had ripped Davina's magic from her. Elijah realized on his way home that he would need Bonnie to give Davina her magic back, if only just to make sure that the witches did not try anything stupid against them. His family was at stake and Elijah did not like knowing that.
