Time for chapter 76! I'll publish 77 after dinner, just so you all know, and possibly 78 as well ;)

Emma wished she had asked to study Regina's spellbook; maybe there had been a counter-spell in there. Now she had to keep trying to pull Hook out of the water, hoping that the spell had worn off.

But nothing happened until bubbles had long since seized to rise to the surface from his mouth and nose. Emma then grabbed his shoulders and yanked, sending him, and her, crashing back against the ground. Hook's eyes were closed and his head tipped sideways.

"Hook!" Emma cried and shook him. "Hook, wake up! Killian!"

His body was as lifeless as a ragdoll and Emma tried to remember how to perform CPR. Press the chest or blow air into his mouth? How many times? How long? In which order?

"Killian, come back to me!" she begged and shook him again. No response. She leaned back on her heels for a moment and looked around. There was no one around. Why would there be? People were guarding Mary Margaret at the hospital, while she was supposed to defeat Zelena here, before she even got there. Good job, Emma, good job.

"Oh, God", she groaned and looked down at Hook's lifeless body again. "Son of a bitch."

She then leaned forward, closed his nose with one hand and used the other to open his mouth, before placing her own mouth against his lips to blow air into him. They felt sticky and oily and she realized this was caused by the spell that Zelena had placed on him. This was not technically a kiss, but Zelena's magic probably worked anyway.

Her suspicions were confirmed when she felt that something was pulled out of her, something light and breezy, but it still hurt somewhat, as if it was lodged deep inside of her. Her magic. She forced herself to continue blowing air and did not lean back until the feeling had subsided. Hook lay as lifeless as before. Emma stubbornly shook her head at the sight, forcing her tears back.

"Come back to me", she whispered.

"Emma!"

She looked up and saw four figures running up the hill towards them. The next moment Killian rolled to his right and coughed up water from his lungs. Emma gasped and quickly steadied him while the figures came closer; she could now see that it was Clarissa, Toby, Indira and Catriona.

"Are you alright?" Clarissa asked. Emma nodded and gently placed Hook back down on the ground again. The pirate breathed heavily for a few moments before he frowned and reached up to touch his own lips. His eyes snapped open and managed to focus on Emma.

"Swan", he breathed, "what did you do?"

She looked away from his intense blue eyes when she saw the terror in them.

"What did you do?" he repeated, stronger this time.

"Your magic", Catriona gasped.

"Is it... gone?" Indira filled in.

"Why are you here?" Emma asked. "You're supposed to be at the hospital!"

"When Hook was affected by whatever spell it was that caused this, Wolfgang was affected as well", Toby replied. "Did you perform CPR on him?"

"Sort of", Emma replied.

"And you lost your magic", Toby continued. "Great. Wonderful."

"We have to get to the hospital", Emma said and avoided their gazes, supporting Hook by throwing his arm over her shoulder. "Come on."

She led the way down the path, heart hammering in her chest. They were screwed.

The sky had clouded over back at the hospital when the scream came from Leroy and one of the other dwarves.

"Incoming!"

The message spread through the halls through various means of communication. Everyone took their positions.

"I'm fine", Wolfgang growled as Rachel steadied him.

"You nearly drowned just now", the older girl bit back at him. "Stay away from this fight; we'll be fine."

"You should know by now that I won't do that", Wolfgang growled and supported himself on one of the chairs in the waiting room. The lights above their heads flickered as Mary Margaret let out a scream in the delivery room.

"The baby's coming", Rachel said and looked from Wolfgang to the stairs, to the delivery room and then back again.

"Go", he ordered. "I'll be fine."

"Do as he says", Regina said as she came up the stairs, followed by Henry and the town's psychiatrist, Archie Hopper. "If Zelena makes it this far we'll be able to deal with her."

Rachel hesitated momentarily before nodding and hurrying into the delivery room. She quickly accepted a set of scrubs from one of the nurses. She then pulled out her wand and set a series of protective spells around the bed.

On the ground floor, Robin stood facing the doors as Leroy came running inside. Jade, hidden behind a vase to his right, went through all possible curses in her head before settling on one that she hoped would give the desired effect.

"Steady, men", Robin ordered the rest of his crew while he loaded his crossbow and knelt down to get better support. "Steady!"

The doors blew open and Zelena marched in, followed by Gold.

"Aim true for Little John!" Robin bellowed. Jade flicked her wand just as Zelena raised her hand, hitting a bucket placed on a shelf above the door. Then she fell to the floor with the rest of the people in the hall; Zelena had hit them all with a knock-out spell. Therefore Jade did not get the satisfaction of seeing Zelena shriek as the bucket tipped over and covered her in green jell-o, forcing her to clean herself up before marching on through the corridor.

"Huh, didn't you learn your lesson the last time?" she asked as she saw the petite brunette approaching her. Belle halted and straightened up; hidden on either side of her were Maryse and Arianne. Hopefully Zelena had not noticed them. The Witch now grinned menacingly and raised the Dark One's dagger.

"This", she said, "is more powerful than your True Love."

"I refuse to believe that", Belle argued.

"Belle, go", Gold begged. His voice sounded hoarse and strained.

"Listen to him, dear", Zelena advised as she came up next to Belle. The brunette quickly turned and forced Zelena to face her.

"No", she said, her voice loud and clear, "you've put him through enough pain!"

Zelena leaned down so that their faces almost touched.

"And I'm not nearly done", she hissed. She then used a second knock-out spell to send Belle crashing to the floor. Gold broke free from his enchantment long enough to catch her and gently place her down.

"What is this?" Zelena shrieked in front of him as books from the shop came soaring through the air, followed by half-molten chocolate bars. "Rumple! Get them!"

Gold groaned inwards as he raised his hand and sent out a knock-out spell of his own, hitting the two half-hidden women responsible for blocking their way. He vowed that he would apologize to them if he managed to be free – something he did not normally vow to do. Zelena quickly cleaned up and waved the dagger once again.

"Chop chop!" she ordered and begun marching up the stairs.

Above the stairs, Regina, Henry, Archie and Wolfgang could hear the Witch's heels clicking. Wolfgang quickly got out of his chair and took up a position hidden behind a corner. He prepared a series of flying objects, among them a large vase.

"Henry, go with Doctor Hopper", Regina told the young boy. "Find a closet and lock yourselves inside. You don't want to see this; it won't be pretty."

Archie quickly pulled Henry along, running in the direction of the bathrooms. Just then Zelena emerged above the stairs. She smiled.

"No, it won't", she agreed, replying to her sister's earlier statement.

"Take another step and I'll roast you", Regina growled. Magic was sizzling around her hands and she would not be surprised to see little fireworks appearing around her fingertips. Zelena, however, just rolled her eyes.

"Please", she huffed and took another step forward. Regina quickly raised her hands to shield herself from the spell she knew her sister would cast, but it was not strong enough; Zelena's knock-out spell sent her flying back, hitting the wall and then landing in the middle of the corridor. Wolfgang could hear the thud from where he stood. He figured as long as he stayed hidden Zelena's spell would not be able to knock him out. Which meant that he would have to play a game of ghost ball. Flicking his wand he sent the objects he had chosen up into the air and soaring down the corridor. He could hear Zelena shriek, but did not stay to see what had happened. Instead he moved so that he stood in a small alcove by the bathrooms. If he remembered correctly there would be an escape ladder close by that he could use.

However, having almost drowned caused a bit of a problem as he was yet not steady on his feet and tripped over a chair on his way to the escape route. The whooshing sound of someone materializing behind him was enough to make him groan.

"I'm sorry", Gold said, his voice strained, before he knocked the boy out.

The tumult out in the corridor was clearly distinguished inside the delivery room.

"David", Mary Margaret managed to whisper.

"I'm here", her husband quickly assured her, even though his eyes were currently lodged on the door and his sister, who kept her wand pointed at the same object. "Don't worry; we'll protect you. Just focus on the baby."

"Just one more push, Mary Margaret", Doctor Whale urged her. Mary Margaret screamed as she forced herself to push again.

"That's it!" Whale said. "One more!"

Mary Margaret did not see the quick, worried look that David and Rachel shared as the lights once again flickered above their heads while the corridor outside grew quiet. She was focused on getting her baby out so that she could hold it in her arms and keep it safe. With an exhausted gasp she fell back against the pillows and the most wonderful sound reached her ears; the cry of a baby.

"It's a boy!" David called and turned towards her with the widest smile she had ever seen him wear. She smiled back through her tears and her husband gently grabbed her head, placing a kiss on her sweaty forehead. She then turned and saw Doctor Whale rise with the baby in his arms, having cleaned most of the blood away from the tiny body. Mary Margaret could not help but laugh at the sight; a son. Her son.

David accepted the baby from Whale, looking just as happy and relieved as she felt. Then, with a smile in her direction, he placed it down on a blanket that one of the nurses had placed across her lap and she quickly wrapped the boy in it, holding him to her for the first time. Her son. There was no way she was letting him go now.

Then the happy moment ended and the door to the delivery room blew open, Rachel's protection spells shattering with an almost distinguishable sound as Zelena stepped inside. She flung her hand in the direction of Doctor Whale, sending him crashing against the couch, then at the two nurses, who tumbled to the floor.

"What a charming family", Zelena said, turning towards the rest of them. "It's a shame I have to break it up."

David reached for his sword and pulled it half-way out of its sheet, before the ginger-haired woman froze him in midair. His eyes, the only things still able to move, widened.

"Don't come any closer", Rachel growled and pointed her wand at the Witch. Zelena snorted.

"Oh please."

She used the same spell on the girl, but not before something large and white had appeared through the tip of her wand. The moment Rachel froze the spell froze as well, though Zelena seemed curious about it, cocking her head as she studied it.

"Now that's an interesting spell", she said. "Too bad you were unable to finish it."

She then turned towards Mary Margaret. The baby boy had started crying in her arms as well, which made the dark-haired woman hold her newborn son even closer to her. Then, suddenly, her arms were clutching at the air instead and the boy in his blanket was in Zelena's arms.

"No", Mary Margaret said and shook her head, then moved to get out of bed. "No, no, no, no..."

She was unable to continue, as Zelena used another freezing spell to push her back against the pillows and hold her there.

"So pure", Mary Margaret could hear the Witch coo, "and so innocent. And now; mine."

Then she vanished in a cloud of green smoke.
