Hello all and we are back with another chapter.
Responses:
messy75: I think that Kol and Bonnie are well versed in their magic to notice the differences between Stefan and Silas.
MJTE: I do not want to be Elijah. I don't like his job. I'd rather be the one causing Chaos than ending it.
AvalonTheLadyKiller: No I have not entertained any names yet and neither has klaroline but everyone is welcomed to suggest some, I'm no good with names. I like your suggestions, especially the boy because I think it would be sweet.
bookworm7117: I know how you feel. We...well I (Cindy) kinda got caught up in the plot and everything and I forgot for some time that it is a klaroline story. Now I cannot promise a Klaroline confrontation anytime soon but I can promise you klaroline moments. The worst is not behind Caroline with her hormones and Klaus has a unique way of pissing people off, especially Caroline.
Chapter 15: Dream Dream Dream
Klaus felt the slight sting of sunlight against his skin and it awoke him from his deep slumber. He felt one that he hasn't awoken from in a thousand years, that kind of feeling like he was drugged and yet he still felt the effects of it inside his veins. The heaviness of his eyelids, the weight of his body, the tiredness he felt…it has been a long time since he felt like this.
He opened his eyes slowly; his sight was met with sun colored hair.
The Original internally groaned and hoped that Kol wasn't playing a prank on him that involved the length of his hair when he was but a child. On one hand, this prank would give him an excuse to dagger his younger brother and put him away in the casket just like he wished to ever since Kol returned. Klaus thought that maybe he was still fearful over the fact of losing his younger brother yet again or because he was as annoyed as ever. Klaus agreed with both of these thoughts because he was too exhausted to choose one.
His hand lazily went to his head because he wanted to make sure that his hair was as short as the night before and not as long as it was over a millenium ago. When he tugged at his hair, he realized that it was as short as ever and he then understood that the golden hair wasn't his.
If Rebekah was in his bed in an attempt to spook him or ask him for something even though he just woke up from one of the best night's sleep in almost a thousand years…
He was brought out of his reverie when he felt the memories from the night before come flashing through his mind. Klaus looked at the golden hair and a small smile crept onto his full and plump lips.
Caroline's hair was as beautiful as ever and it was like her hair was a pure gold that was shining in the sunlight and glowing with richness. Before he knew what it was he was doing, he had some of her soft and beautiful hair in his hands. The mother of his children was an extraordinary woman that only deserved the very best.
She was like a big ball of sunshine, beaming with excitement and happiness and the memory of the night before made him frown because of the worry in her expression, the sadness in her eyes, the disappointment in her tone… it was agonizing to see her in such a state, especially since she was always so bubbly and fun loving.
It was all his fault. His hunger for revenge and blood led the blonde into such a state. Klaus also completely forgot that Caroline was carrying his children under her heart. By stressing her out, he brought about danger to her and their unborn children. The Original Hybrid only acted in such a way because of the Lockwood boy and the wolf girl. He wanted to kill the both of them and their unborn child, but Caroline stopped him yet again and Elijah talked him out of his plan. Klaus cared not for Tyler nor Hayley and he could care even less if something tragic was to happen to them or their bloody child. Klaus knew that he would always have to live with the fact of sparing Tyler's life yet again because of Caroline. The only thing that he was sure about when it came to the Lockwood mutt was that he would end him without much of a thought if he placed his family in danger. He also knew that he had to protect the woman that carried his children in her womb from others and most importantly, himself.
Klaus lay comfortably on the bed beside Caroline and he was finally able to register the position that the two were in. He didn't even realize where his hands were until a moment ago and he predicted that he was able to fall into a deep slumber.
The Original was lying on his side and his shirt, socks, and shoes were off. He only wore his jeans and her back was against his chest. Klaus wondered how it was that he just then realized that she had her backside pressed up against his frontside and he inferred that the he got drunk the night before and couldn't remember anything clearly.
The memory of the first night that he spent with her came rushing back and he realized that he didn't even bother to shut his eyes that night. He would gaze at her and would draw circles on the blonde's soft skin. He remembered the way Caroline's breaths came when she was asleep. Klaus realized that he probably didn't sleep that night because he was afraid that it was but a figment of his imagination.
A smile crept onto his lips because he realized that he slept beside her in the same bed with her inches away from him. His smile suddenly vanished and a frown took its place. He could have hurt her because of the strength that he possessed…
One of his arms were currently being used as a pillow for Caroline's head. Klaus didn't mind at all, but he believed that an actual pillow would be more comfortable than his bicep.
His other arm was sprawled across her stomach, the stomach that had grown in the months she had been with him. It felt, odd to him. To feel the stomach that held his soon-to-be born children in, to hear their heartbeats louder than he was able to against her bedroom door.
There was a little itty bitty voice in his head telling him to run like hell and to not look back but he didn't want to leave, he liked this, despite how odd he felt, he also felt a warmth inside of him that he couldn't explain.
He then realized a part of the reason why this felt so good and although to some, it may be disturbing but to him- who found it highly inconvenient considering the fact that he did not want Caroline to wake to this. His morning hardness, although confide into his jeans, was still very much at a point where it could be felt. He was lucky she was still asleep.
He listened to the sounds around him, he could hear everyone else downstairs, Rebekah and Kol were fighting in the kitchen, except Elijah and his companion and he realized why he never really slept on this wing of the mansion, he was too close to Elijah and that never was a good thing, no matter how noble or moral his eldest brother was.
His mind ran on the children currently being protected in Caroline's stomach, the safest place on the planet for them at the moment.
He never had a single thought of having children in all of his thousand years and now with Caroline, the emotions about children he once had as a human rose and intensified. That desire for a family to call his and the woman he loved. To share his wisdom with his son and to be able to hold his daughter when she was afraid of something. He had imagined such a future with Tatia once, but he dismissed it when he found out about her indiscretion with Elijah.
All of these things he could tell Caroline in hope that she would rest this impending conversation with him in regards to the children growing inside of her, but when his mouth opened, his throat get clogged and he simply couldn't say anything…rendered speechless in her presence.
He decided not to dwell on this and listen to their heartbeats, classical music always calmed him, the piano, the violin but Caroline's and his unborn children heartbeats were definitely the most soothing sound he had ever heard.
It had the power to place him into a trance like state, his eyes closed, his head lying on her soft golden hair, his hand on her stomach rubbing circles on her stomach slowly as a ghost of a smile appeared on his lips.
Klaus was so lost in trying to hear his childrens heartbeats that he didn't noticed Caroline's quickening heartbeat. His eyesight was a bit blocked as well which is why he didn't see Caroline's eyes flutter open.
He did, however, feel the hand that rested on his that was rubbing circles on her stomach and not only was he momentarily knocked out of his trance like state but his hand stopped and panic set in him as his eyes snapped open. The sudden urge to apologize came boiling up his throat. He moved his hand immediately though, not wanting to cause her discomfort, but she grabbed his hand and he allowed her to place it back on her stomach and she hummed slightly, he loved that little sound then and there.
"Keep doing that, it feels nice." Caroline told him slowly as a small smile graced her lips.
He had to hide the smile that was currently playing on his lips in her golden hair. He didn't know what was happening to him, but for some reason, he felt a bit giddy. Maybe it was the feeling of her hair.
He was self conscious of his actions now and he returned to drawing little circles on her stomach, slower than before and continued to listen to the heartbeats…
Klaus was sure to be careful because he didn't want to hurt his children, but his interest was piqued. He wanted to get back to that calming trance that he was in before Caroline awoke.
Klaus could feel Caroline suddenly test and for some reason he grinded his teeth together because he didn't want to stop drawing the circles on Caroline's growing belly.
Her hand reached behind her, in a sort of sloppy, almost groggy way and she asked "What's poking…" and she grabbed him in his jeans and if that wasn't horrible enough because he had taken a sharp intake of breath and his hand had stopped all movements on her stomach, she squeezed him in his jeans and the combination of the material of the jeans, her hands and their position…there was a huge chance that this incident could go very bad, very quickly.
He groaned at the feelings of her hand around his length and he could feel his nerves on edge. His nerves seemed to awake him even more and he could feel his member grow even hard. He inhaled a sharp breath into her hair and he couldn't make himself to tell her to stop. Klaus knew that this was probably wrong, but he was so sexually frustrated and he couldn't bring himself to do what he knew was right. After the Original Hybrid spent a night making love to Caroline, he couldn't seem to think about anyone else and on top of that he had Elijah, Rebekah, and Hayley to worry about.
She had yet to release him and he continued to count the seconds, currently 15 and counting and he was beginning to throb in anticipation against her petite little hands.
"Oh," she breathed out as a blush crept onto her cheeks.
Caroline didn't remove her hands from his throbbing member just yet, though. A couple of seconds later, she slowly un-squeezed him and Klaus exhaled the breath that he has been holding.
"I'm sorry-" she made a move to apologize but in truth, and especially because they have touched each other before as well as seen everything, she had nothing to apologize for. His body was a welcome invitation to her hands, he could say that and she would be annoyed by his confidence or ego or cockiness as she might poetically put it and remove her hand.
"It's fine, Caroline, I don't mind" he interjected.
Caroline didn't dare move her hand and it was as if she was afraid to or something of that sort.
It was then that his senses became alert. He smelled his surroundings and he got even harder by smelling her. He remembered the scent from the night that they shared and it haunted him in his dreams, and of course he would remember her scent. It was almost hypnotizing, if he was being completely honest.
Klaus did know, however, that most pregnant woman usually got more sexually aroused, similar to how vampires got when they first transitioned. They were more sensitive to their emotions. He has been a victim of that for a couple of months and he found it a very unusual type of torture method for some reason.
As if experimenting just how true his previous words were, she started to slowly rub her hand against his jeans and his breathing started to quicken and deepen. His entire body was beginning to heat up. He felt his cheeks flushing and his eyes darkened with lust and hunger. Klaus clenched his hands into fists because he had to keep some sort of composure before he went mad.
Caroline continued to that until he was fully erected in his jeans. Klaus could tell that he was fully erected because he felt it, but he realized that he would never know how Caroline knew about his member's current state. He felt as if she was testing the power that she had over him. He would never out rightly go out of his way to tell her just how much power she had over him, but he knew that if she wished for him to kill, he would do it without much thought. Klaus could almost shake his head because he knew that if Caroline wanted him to bow before her, he would do it without so much of a question.
It was an unconscious action he had done and it was only now he had even realized that he was doing it because he wanted—no needed- to get his mind off her hand, so he focused on everything else around him and he noticed that he was rubbing her thighs, quite erotically. It was at a steady pace, but with the dress she wore and the heat from his hands, she was feeling that right between her legs.
Her hand quickened against his jeans, causing his breathing to get that much harsher, blowing heavily into her hair, his eyes fought like hell to stay open and in response, his hand squeezed her thigh in an effort to hold onto something, anything.
"Caroline…" He panted out.
Suddenly, far too suddenly he thought, she stopped, and turned around and he wanted to look in a mirror and punch himself for saying anything and prepared for the upcoming rejection that was bound to happen.
When Caroline finally faced him, he exhaled the breath that he has been holding because he did not see guilt, fear, or disgust in her eyes. Instead he saw something that he hasn't seen in months- lust.
As if he could see the boldness in her eyes, she reached out and took one of his hands, the one that was not cradling her head and guided it ever so slowly under her dress to the skin of her thigh and he could feel the warmth of her, a warmth he hadn't felt in months…he just realized how much he missed it then and there.
She left his hand under her dress and she used both of her hands to unbuckle his belt and unzip his pants. He looked right into her lust-filled eyes and they were strong and unwavering. He realized that determination swam in them. She snuck a hand slowly into his pants, as if searching for something and she didn't know what it was, but he knew she knew and she knew he knew, and before they knew it, she grabbed his member which caused the Original to gasp.
His eyes suddenly bolted open and he inhaled a sharp amount of air from his nose. He could feel his whole body spasming with arousal at the highest level. His forehead was damp with sweat, his arms and legs were sweaty, and his throat felt dry and his body felt tense. He willed himself to calm down as he tried to figure out where he was.
Klaus then realized that he was still in Caroline's bedroom. He was still laying beside her, but he was as hard as a ass was against his crotch area and her back was slightly against his chest. He felt frantic…as if he was close, really close but just got cut off.
It was then that he heard her harsh breathing and felt her body rise and fall deeply and erratically and he realized then that she must have seen that as well, somehow.
The Original remembered that she told him that she liked the way he rubbed her stomach because it felt nice and he returned to listening to the children's heartbeats. He soon realized that everything that came after that was nothing but a dirty dream.
This probably meant that he must have fallen asleep while he was drawing circles on her growing belly. He wondered if they shared the dream, but soon shook it off because she was no longer a vampire. The only thing that Klaus could do though was manipulate her dreams, but that meant that...
Oh.
She had dreamt that and he saw it, felt it, he was practically a participant in said dream. His very presence was a manipulation, whether it was unconsciously done or not. He hated that little feeling of guilt in his stomach at the thought of what he had done, even if it wasn't something that he intended.
"Caroline, I'm—" he began but Caroline cut him off.
"It wasn't your fault, Klaus. I know how the dream thing works" she said softly, without any trace of any kind of change in her composure.
There was a knock on the door suddenly and before he could even make a move to threaten anyone who would even think of interrupting them, his ever so lovely sister spoke "Caroline you might want to get down here and tell Kol that you are not naming my future nieces or nephews after him or there will be war"
Caroline allowed a small smile to tug at the corners of her lips at Rebekah's words.
"I'd also advise that Nik should also get out of the bed because my threats are not empty and I will break anything I have to on Kol's head just to get the message across"
After he was sure she had left to no doubt attempt to kill Kol herself, he groaned loudly in frustration.
"Caroline, be very glad you have no annoying siblings constantly dragging you into their petty tantrums"
Caroline giggled and said, "You should be glad that you have those annoying siblings who love you so dearly that they would constantly drag you into their petty tantrums."
He groaned but smiled and soon got out of bed, ready to threaten both his younger brother and sister as well as prepare their coffins.
Katherine hummed in her sleep and a slow but sure growing smile crept onto her face as she felt flutters of kisses along her naked back so gently that it almost felt like the sunlight on her skin instead of his lips. They were tender, delicate, and a little ticklish. She could feel of his strong, rough hands resting on her hip and she could feel his toes against her calf wiggling ever so often.
"Good morning, Katerina" he whispered gently against her back.
She felt his breath against her skin, causing a series of shivers to trickle up her spine. Her smile merely grew at the tone of his voice which was so gentle and loving.
"Hmm" she simply hummed "Milord" she called in her thick accented voice as she continued with a smirk "I should choke pregnant wolves in your presence more often" she could almost hear the smile on his face but her eyes stayed closed "I'm so positively sore and in the best possible way"
He merely chuckled lowly at her words and shook his head at her back "Removing Hayley's ability to breathe from her was a bit dramatic Katerina, even for you."
She giggled and snuggled closer into her pillow "You underestimate me, Milord. My first thought was to shove my hand into her stomach and rip out her reproductive organs but it had slipped my mind at the time that she was in fact pregnant for but a moment…so I decided that placing the fear of god in her would have to do at the moment"
Before Elijah had the chance to counter her words, she turned around so that she was lying on her side facing him and her eyes were very serious.
"Her name is to never be mentioned in this bedroom ever again, Elijah." Katherine dictated, her tone serious.
He merely smiled in response "Jealousy is a good color on you, Katerina"
She glared at him in response and his smile grew wider.
"Nothing happened between the girl and myself. I give you my word that their will never be anything between me and that werewolf girl."
Katherine smirked at him before placing a hand on his chest and pushing him down into the bed, allowing herself access to climb on top of him. She looked down at him as he placed his hands on her hips.
"Your word means nothing until you live up to it," she smirked "but I know nothing will happen between you two because you belong to me"
She reached for his hard member that stood behind her bum and maneuvered it inside of her, pulling a sharp intake of breath as she did. Elijah's grip on her waist tightened and his mouth hung open slightly at the feeling "And I do not share"
Elijah moved upwards in a sitting position and wrapped his hands around her to keep her close and secure to his chest "Nor do I"
After attempting another try at convincing his brother and Caroline to name at least one of the children after him, a few dagger threats thrown to him courtesy of his temperamental brother and a bratty annoying sister, he was banished to his room as punishment. Although, he could have simply said no and tormented them more; the dagger in Nik's hands caused him to flee to his room faster than he would have anyways.
He looked at the table in front of him before maneuvering himself around it, eyeing the grimoire as he did. It was his mother's…Esther's cookbook. He didn't want anything of her's in his room but the woman was a powerful witch and so were her spells. He would not throw something so powerful away just because of a petty rivalry with his dead mother. Kol was crazy, but he wasn't stupid.
He looked towards his bed to take a nap when he saw Esther sitting at the edge of the bed, smiling up at him as if she had just seem one of the most precious things on the planet. He scowled at her and groaned, not wanting to deal with her excuses and explanations and apologies. She was given a second chance and instead of using it to reunite the family; she tried to kill them all.
"Why are you here, Esther?" Kol questioned as he huffed in annoyance.
He now had the gift to see dead people and even though it was pretty cool at first, he was starting to get annoyed.
"You are the one that called upon me, remember?" she replied calmly as if his tone didn't affect her at all and she stood, moving towards him.
"How right you are, I'm almost pissed I came back from the dead"
Esther shook her head "I am here to inform you that the spirits learned something about Silas, but it doesn't make sense to them because someone is blocking them from seeing it all"
Kol was confused, seeing all? "What are you talking about?"
"The spirits see all. They see the things you do when you're not in the company of others, the things you say, the things you think…but they cannot see Silas and they have learnt something dreadful" Esther explained and the panic and worry in her tone almost made him think that she was concerned for them, almost of course.
"Well spit it out or leave me in peace. I've already been threatened to be put back in my box too many times for the day and I don't feel like looking at the person who tried to kill me and smile with her" Kol sneered at her and she sighed sadly.
"I am sorry you feel that way" she said "I know you do not believe that I am here to see the safety of my children and my grandchildren and I do not fault you for it, I am at fault" she paused as his glare intensified, so she stood straight and looked right at him "There is no way to end Silas once and for all. If he dies he will still live on. The worst is not definite, but it is possible"
Kol hated 'the spirits' even more now. They were far too cryptic for their own good. He understood why witches were cryptic in their messages, but it was not helpful in his case at all. If there was no way to kill Silas completely, then how were they supposed to get rid of him? How could he live on even after he died? Could he die?
For a woman who claimed to want to protect her children and grandchildren, she sure was being no help at all.
"Just out of curiosity…" and certain unexplainable feelings for a certain revenge hungry witch and a tiny bit of his sanity if he wanted to kill this two thousand year old immortal witch who he was adamant on not resurrecting in the first place and died because of it "How does one kill a two thousand year old immortal witch if the cure has already been taken?" He asked in a sarcastic manner.
"There is a way to kill Silas without the aid of the cure" Esther stated calmly, but made no move to explain further which irritated him to no end.
"Go on…" he urged, but she smiled and shook her head.
"You have no business in the fall of Silas. Bonnie Bennett is entitled to her revenge so I highly suggest you leave Bonnie to the destruction of him and play no part in his death"
He sighed, still not too quick to side with her considering his trust issues towards her, it was her doing, but she was right. It was the reason why he was asking to begin with. So that Bonnie could finally notice him. Not the annoying Original or the inappropriate Mikaelson brother or the brother that died but him and the advances he has been trying and failing to make towards her.
She waved them off…
She hushed him, nose deep in a grimoire…
She shooed him away…
Sometimes it was like he was speaking to a shell of a person who just responded when someone was talking to her.
He understood her need for revenge, he had it while he was on the other side, watching as Elena went on with her life, however it turned out while he was dead because he tried to warn them of the very thing that was happening around them. He wanted to torture her first for a long time, maybe fifty or so years then finally make Jeremy watch him as he severed her head off and hung it on his wall.
But he promised not to kill Elena or any of them in exchange for his life back. He refused to be on the other side when those children were born, as much as he would not admit it, new additions to the family in the form of children somewhat sounded good. They were happiest when Henrik was born. They all wanted to play with him and hold him. They were closer to each other because of Henrik, but his death separated them over the thousand years that passed.
He had to watch as Bonnie saw her father being killed right in front of her eyes and she could have done nothing to stop it. She was dead. She had no physical contact with the living so she could not help him and neither could he. The man was dead by the time he hit the ground.
Bonnie had every right to want revenge, from what he knew, her mother abandoned her, showing up because she was taken by expression but left afterwards.
"Besides" Esther sighed, alarming him to the annoying truth that she was still standing in front of him. She turned around and walked back towards the bed "Maybe then she'll finally notice your advances"
He wanted to glare at her, but she was gone before he could say or do anything. She left him annoyed, even more so than usual, but for some reason he felt a bit hopeful.
