I honestly didn't think I'd be publishing this tonight...I didn't think I'd finish it tonight but I proved myself wrong so here's an update. But I can't promise you one next week. I mean I can't make a promise but I can try my best to update. I read it over and there might be some mistakes but Hana hasn't read this yet because she has exams and she might be sleeping right now lol.

About a week later

Klaus had nothing to say to her and he had nothing to say to begin with.

That was a lie.

He had tons to say…tons his tongue had been itching to tell her, but pride always held him back. It always made him hold his tongue and move on. He knows that she doubts his intentions in regards to her and the children growing inside her yet she also holds her tongue.

He knows she's been holding her tongue because the Caroline he knows would have asked him straight away already. She would have bluntly asked him anything and she would have tormented him until she got her answer. When Caroline wants something, she will get it. It's never a question. It's surely hers whether he likes it or not.

She stopped asking him and he never complained. It was postponing the inevitable but he never complained. He never actually wondered why she assumes that he doesn't want her or he's just here out of obligation. He's been chasing after her for over a year, and now when he finally had her she thought he would finally leave her alone? That's wishful thinking if you asked him.

If he had to describe that wonderful night he spent with Caroline, it would be like he was stranded in the dessert for years without water or food. He finally finds a single bottle with a few drops of water but it's not enough to quench his thirst. If she honestly thinks that after one night with her, he'd be done with her then she was so dead wrong. He meant it when he said he will be her last love. He will be the last person she'll ever be with. Whether it took a week, a month or a century, he will be her last.

He knows how he feels about her. He didn't actually have a word for it then and there when he felt it but now he might and it terrifies the hell out of him. It was a weakness to vampires, to him and yet here he sits…wondering what is she dreaming about right this very moment.

He returned to his daily habit of sitting in front of her door early in the morning just to hear her breathe, to hear her heartbeat and the heartbeats of the little ones growing inside of her. However there was a reason why he assumed Elijah gave her a room near Rebekah and away from any of his brothers, including him.

Firstly, he didn't know how close she was to him and that was understandable. Elijah knew nothing of his…attraction to Caroline until Rebekah had to open her big mouth. Secondly, he also assumed that Rebekah and Caroline were friends. He knew better. Rebekah is too stubborn to accept someone as a friend, especially after what happened with Elena. She feared that it would happen again. Also, Elijah wanted to witness her offer to stay with him if she had chosen so. He wanted to see his reaction or response to her request just to have a basic idea of their relation to each other. He wanted to see for himself just how much he cared for her or if he had any feelings for her to begin with. If he knew in the beginning, his glass would have never had the opportunity to slip out of his hands that night. He would not have stuttered or hesitated with his words. He would not have been as shocked as he was. He would have played it cool and calm and relish in the disappointment Elijah would have felt.

He figured it out too late.

Now his stubbornness and pride prevents him from demanding that she sleeps in the same room with him or a room closer to his. Not wanting to give Elijah the pleasure of witnessing just how much he feels for her, he never asked.

Because of his stubbornness and pride, he's sitting on the floor, against her door, just listening to her. Forgetting for a few minutes that Silas isn't alive and doing a lot of kicking, he has to steal- more like take back a kingdom from his protégé, well former protégé now and a bunch of witches might be after him for taking Marcel's place when he succeeds in taking him down. The only thing in that moment he had to look forward to was the birth of the growing children inside of her.

That was something else to be terrified of, their birth. He hasn't held a baby since he was 14 years old and that was over a thousand years ago.

Does he remember how to hold one?

Can he take care of little babies?

Would he drop one of them, or both of them?

Will he be a good father?

What if he turned out to be a horrible father like Mikeal?

What if he turned into Mikeal?

What if he couldn't protect them like he couldn't protect Henrik?

What if he couldn't protect them like he couldn't protect his brothers?

What if they hate him?

What if they all hate him?

There were so many questions unanswered in his head that he'd get a headache just thinking about it and he'd rather not think about it.

The left side of his ear caught the sound of feet and in a flash, he was in his room. He had learned his lesson the last time. To always be aware of your surroundings, especially when he knew that Rebekah would be waiting to catch him again. He needed to prevent another run-in with Bekah. In order to do that, he had to make sure that he was nowhere close to her or her room when she wakes. He'd never hear the end of it if she caught him again.

In the months that followed, he heard of Bonnie's fool proof plan to take down Silas once and for all and he left the job to her and his brother. He didn't like to admit this often but he was no match for a two thousand year old immortal who can read minds. While he was glad the man was slowly dying, he couldn't help but think about what damage he can do while he still breathes.

The agreement was made, of allowing Bonnie and Kol to search for Silas for any trace of him anywhere in New Orleans, if not the French Quarter. If they found him, Bonnie would have to lure him somewhere private so that she can do the spell she did before but this time, getting rid of him for good and he can scratch that problem off his mental list of threats against his family.

7th Month

Caroline is both glad and sad at the same time.

Why?

It's simple.

She's glad that the worst of her pregnancy hormones are diminishing. Her mom once told her that at the seventh month, the hormones go away slightly but they're still there and they're still a giant pain in the ass but they're no longer as frequent as they were. Emotionally, she almost feels like her old self, only now, her hand is constantly wrapped around her baby bump that has grown really big. Katherine had quickly commented by stating that it was her instincts protecting them from any harm before disappearing on her. Caroline had a feeling that this was affecting her in some way. She knew Katherine had a child before she met the Mikaelson's so maybe she might be reminiscing about her days of pregnancy.

The sad part to this time in her pregnancy, well the downside will be that she will be in more physical pain than she ever was. The back pains would be most frequent…or so she read.

Then there are stomach pains. But those are said to be a good thing. The baby will be kicking more and more but she had yet to actually feel a full-on kick from them. She felt the flutters before but she would be lying to herself if she wasn't really excited to feel the real kick, the thought alone sometimes puts a grin on her face.

Then she read that she might get sleep problems due to expected back pains and pain in her legs at the end of her days. That already started in her book. Walking around such a huge mansion became tiring. She sat down more than she walked. She felt lazy but at the same time, it was regular for pregnant women to feel this way. She was human and pregnant. It should be normal for her.

But it's not

Her version of normal changed when she was turned into a vampire. Now her normal days are filled with dealing with the next big bad wolf, listening to her friend try and make a choice between the good Salvatore and the bad Salvatore and juggle high school and to top it all off, she had to be the perfect girlfriend to a werewolf turned hybrid with deep jealousy issues. That was her normal day. Not sitting down with a giant stomach, mind-shopping for baby cribs and internally decorating baby bedrooms.

She had dealt with the fact that she might not get over the fact that she's human. She might want to be a vampire again actually. She had enough time being human to realize that she didn't want it anymore. She loved being able to take care of herself. She liked being strong, ageless and fast.

She had gotten comfortable with not being able to feel her heartbeat. She had even relished in the fact that she'd never have the need to visit the toilets ever again and she celebrated the fact that heels no longer left an ache in her heel. But now she has to pee all the time, she can't wear any kind of heel whatsoever and her heartbeat still alarms her sometimes.

She had mourned the fact that she would never be a mother again but now she's human, about to be a mother and the father of her children is the oldest and most diabolical being on planet earth.

The writers of Twilight should hire them all to star in their own show.

Since the drastic growth in her stomach, Klaus grew more worried and a lot more protective. She'd even joke about him being one of those fathers that think everything and everyone on the planet is out to get his little boy or girl. She can tell it's not just their physical safety he's worried about. She does it on purpose. She goes into a room where he is and just sits there, pretending to mind her own business while she knows he's staring at her stomach. She can see the wild panic in his eyes, as if he's terrified of her stomach and of what's growing inside of them.

He's terrified of becoming a father. She can see just how scared he really is sometimes. He thinks she's not looking and is so invested in her phone or notepad but she's not and she can really see that he's genuinely scared. He's either scared of becoming a father or turning out to be Mikeal, maybe it's both.

She can tell that he's worried that he'll either be a horrible father or turn out just like the father he was forced to grow up with. He might also be scared of his own child hating him like Klaus hated Mikeal and Marcel hates Klaus.

She wishes she can reassure him that everything will be fine. That he'll be a great father and nothing like Mikeal. She wishes she can tell him that his own children will not hate him like he did or Marcel does, but she can't. Even she isn't completely sure of these things. She's not even sure she'll make it out of all of this alive. Silas is after Klaus, the witches are waiting for him to take Marcel down and then there's the whole war between Klaus and Marcel going on and sometimes she thinks that she might end up hurt while being in the middle of these fights.

But she has hope. She has hope that they'll all make it out alive and well. She has hope that everything will work out for the best. She has hope that Klaus will be a good father. She has hope that she can be a somewhat decent mother. She has hope for the lives of her children; she has hope for her and Klaus. She has hope for this family and if she has nothing to hold on to, she can always hold on to hope.

Elijah has been feeling uneasy since his visit to the witches with the pregnant werewolf. If he didn't know better, he'd think they put a spell on him. It was a sick sort of feeling that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. An inkling of dread creeps into him from time to time but not long enough to really alarm him. He had this nagging feeling that something was wrong. He always got that feeling whenever the problem had any relation to magic.

He needs to put extra plans in place should any surprises on the witches pop up and they need magical assistance to do so. He knew they had Bonnie and Kol but a secret weapon never harmed anyone.

This is why he was currently knocking on Bonnie Bennett's bedroom door at the moment. He needed her to do something secretly, without even his sibling's knowledge. He needs that assurance that should the witches truly be planning something that might harm his family in the end, he'd have a trick up his sleeve.

Bonnie opened the door, with the knowledge that it'd be Kol on the other end. She couldn't help it when her eyes widened to the sight of Elijah standing at her front door.

"Good afternoon Ms. Bennett" he smiled.

Quickly collecting her thoughts, she smiled a bit warily at him in response "Hey, Elijah. Kol isn't here if you're looking for him"

He shook his head "I wish to speak with you, actually. In private"

"Oh" she took a minute to collect herself before stepping back and allowing him a passage way to enter her room. He eyed her with a raised eyebrow.

"My room is soundproof against prying supernatural ears. It's safe" she assured him.

He nodded before crossing the threshold. Bonnie closed the door and turned around to find him patiently standing and waiting.

"How can I help you?" she asked tightly, feeling a little uncomfortable around him.

She knew he had no reason to harm her in any way but she's never actually been in a room with him alone so sue her if his presence makes her a little bit uncomfortable.

"Ms. Bennett…" Bonnie cut him off.

"Please call me Bonnie. You'll insult my grandmother" she smiled.

He chuckled "Very well. I would like you to return Davina's magic"

His forwardness caught her off guard. She wasn't actually expecting him to beat around the bush but Elijah always had a way of surprising you.

"I wish I could but I can't. She's not ready. Her emotions rule over her magic when it becomes too overwhelming and she could very much take down the entire city with it, should she not have control" Bonnie explained in a disappointed tone "I know what the lost of magic feels like and I won't wish it on her, but she needs to be able to control the magic already in her before she can control the magic that flowed within her because of the harvest ceremony."

Elijah took a step forward "I know the risk I'm taking by asking this Bonnie, but I'm afraid we don't have much of a choice here. In the thousand years that I've lived, the feeling of uneasiness flows in me when danger is near. It touched me in times when Mikeal found us, when witches were conspiring against us, when forces gathered against us and when my brothers, Finn and Kol had met their deaths. I find myself consumed with it since my return from the witches with Hayley and I don't trust them or their choice in releasing Hayley"

Bonnie could hear the clear fear in his voice when he spoke, he trusted his instincts and his instincts were telling him that something was off. If his instincts have never failed him before, then surely they're not failing him now.

"Why Davina?" she asked. Bonnie and Kol were very much capable of doing anything he needed so why Davina specifically?

"Davina's magic is linked to the magic that flows in New Orleans. She can tell if any witch is doing magic around her because of it" he replied in confidence "That's how Marcel was able to figure out which witch is practicing magic"

"He's right child" a familiar voice said, causing Bonnie to turn around to come face to face with her grams.

"All witches are not to be trusted, especially witches that practice Ancestral Magic. They're incredibly possessive with their magic, but don't lie to her. She'll turn her back on you if she does find out the truth. We witches do not take lightly to false security" Sheila continued, with a sad almost apologetic smile on her face.

"Bonnie…" Elijah called cautiously.

"It is very insulting to call you Ms. Bennett, especially to me"

Bonnie let out a light giggle at her words and shook her head at her.

"I'm so glad I get to see you and talk to you grams"

Sheila smiled "Me too child, me too"

"Let me remind you that unlike my brother and yourself, I haven't been resurrected from the dead and able to see or hear the deceased" Elijah smirked, causing Bonnie to turn around to face Elijah.

"Fine, but she doesn't leave my sight until she can fully control it Elijah"

He nods with a heavy sigh "I guess that means I have to speak with Marcel to ask for permission then"

Bonnie smiled in return.

"It wouldn't kill him to relax a bit. Is it just me or does he look like he has nails up his…?"

"Grams" Bonnie scolded without turning to glare at her.

Elijah gave her a curious look but Bonnie shook her head.

"Trust me, you don't wanna know"

Rebekah entered the place she once called home so many years ago, heels clicking with every step she took as she entered the courtyard that was filled with vampires old and new…ready to take down the unwelcomed visitor.

The reason why she was here was very simple. Either Elijah saw that he was too high and mighty to do his little errands himself or he thought it'd be funny to send her to speak to the one person that shook her mind and body to its core. Being that it is Elijah she speaks of, it could be either one or maybe both.

He asked her—more like commanded—to go to Marcel and ask for Davina. She had said no at least three times before Elijah guilt her into saying yes.

Curse his stupid feeling of uneasiness and dread, it's never failed him before so why should it start now?

Her blonde hair was not constricted to a bun or tied to perfection. Instead, it was loose and free. It flew wherever the wind or her movements took it and her smile when all the vampires stood; ready to attack was just plain wicked.

Luckily for her and unluckily for him, Diego was the first to launch him-self at her. She never really liked him if she was being honest with herself. He always had this…cockiness by being Marcel's right hand. It annoyed her how confident he was to believe that he had the ability to fight her and win.

Arrogant young vampires

She caught him by his throat and lifted him in the air, smirking as he gagged for air and tried with all his baby strength to release himself from her hold. His eyes were wide but his glare was harsh and he fought with every bit of strength he had. It was admirable, it really was, shame it was futile against her.

"Diego, I thought you would have learnt by now, you are but a two year old baby compared to me and my family" she whispered with a dangerous gleam of mischief in her eyes before she turned to all of them "None of you are a match for me" she returned her vision to Diego whose glare got even more deathly with her words "In all of my vampire life, everyone, including my brothers have underestimated me. They've learnt their lesson and you shall too, if you ever attempt to attack me again"

With that, she turned to the side and threw him like she threw a piece of paper against a wall, only he hit the wall with a loud bang and fell to the floor with a grunt. She flashed to his side and held him up before slamming him against the wall and allowing her true nature to show, letting Diego know that she meant business.

"MARCELLUS GERARD, GET YOUR COWARD ASS DOWN HERE THIS INSTANT BEFORE I FEED YOU THE BLOOD OF YOUR PRECIOUS RIGHT HAND MAN!" she yelled to the top of her lungs.

Thierry was at the edge of his seat, staring at the hand that was currently wrapped around his friend's throat but unable to make a move to save him without risking both of their lives in the process.

Marcel is running down the stairs at a human pace as he takes in the scene before him.

"Everyone chill, The Originals are all a guest in this town and in my home. We do not welcome our guests by attacking them" he scolds his minions, who slowly sit down at Marcel's commands but their eyes are on Rebekah and Diego the entire time, never once faltering.

"You should teach your vampires some manners. Like 'Never bite the hand that fed you' but then again, it was Marcel that sired you all" She removed Diego from the wall and threw him on the floor, watching as his body slid back to where everyone sat. His friends helped him up but being as arrogant as he was, he brushed them off, wanting no help from anyone as he glared at Rebekah "Never forget that it was Klaus that sired Marcel and therefore sired you all. You are in the presence of an Original and you will show some respect"

There was a deathly silence that followed her words which made Rebekah feel incredibly powerful and in charge for the first time in her life and she relished in it with a devious smile on her face.

Marcel smiled at how she commanded his vampires just a little, finally seeing some of the confidence he had seen for but a moment or two when they first met when he was a little boy.

"Welcome. I assume you want something that is in my power to give…let's discuss it upstairs" He even pointed to the stairs while his other hand was out for her to take so he could escort the lady but as stubborn as she was, she passed his hand with flying colors and marched up the stairs as if she owned the place, leaving him standing in the same pose with a smirk at her defiance on his lips.

He flashes upstairs behind her, eager to be in her presence as much as he can before she leaves but when she turns around to his standing position; he was reminded that she was in fact here for a reason.

"Elijah wishes for Davina's company and I'm here to collect her" Rebekah stated coldly, void of any kind of emotion. It stung how cold her tone was.

Despite her cold tone and uninterested facial expression, he smiled "Here I am thinking that you were here to actually see me" his tone was a bit low and seductive, which caused her to put a little more weight on one of her feet than she intended to but she didn't lose her balance.

She forces out a scoff along with a chuckle "Get over your-self" even though the main reason she agreed to Elijah's request, apart from his mission to guilt her was to see him. He did not need to know that.

Marcel frowns a bit but he didn't let her mean girl act bother him. He knew what she was like behind all that brass and it was beautiful. With that, he picked himself up and escorted her to Davina's room where he knocked on her door.

"Davina?" he called.

He turned to smile at Rebekah, whose lips were pressed together so tightly that nothing could get in or out if she could help it.

The door to Davina's room opened slowly to reveal a disheveled Davina who didn't look sleepy at all but rather depressed.

"What?" her tone suggested she was disinterested in what they wanted from her and she didn't want to be bothered. She didn't bother for pleasantries. It also reeked of sadness and despair.

She smirked, finding a way to irritate her more, Rebekah always found pleasure in people's pain for some reason. It could have been a Mikaelson trait "Elijah has summoned you"

Davina seemed bored with her words however and put more weight on one of her feet so she can lean back with a look of a mean girl and a scowl on her face "Elijah Mikaelson has no claim over me to summon me"

Rebekah rolled her eyes and snorted at her bratty attitude "Get ready to leave, stop acting like a brat and don't waste my time"

Davina merely gave her the 'up and down' look "You would know…" she muttered before she closed the door, preventing Rebekah from making any sort of comeback to her words.

Rebekah scoffed at the door in front of her face with a look of distaste but Marcel spoke up before she had the chance to "Ease up on her, will ya? She had her magic taken from her. That's like missing an organ from your body"

"I'd like to rip one from her chest" Rebekah grumbled before she walked forward, not caring that she was going further into the home rather than farther from it.

He watched her as she walked and noticed the dark corner that he never usually notices unless needed. It seems his instincts need it because he flashed her into that dark corner. She seemed baffled for a moment before her glare broke through what little he could see. She was leaned against the wall and he was in front of her, preventing her from leaving.

He leaned forward slowly, her head leaned back to claim some space away from him but she claimed only a breath, one that he was able to take back from her quite easily.

"Why?" he asked in a whisper, the sound of his voice tickling her ears "Why must you deny your feelings for me?" he continued, looking into her eyes as if for the answers he seeks "Why must you cover it with your sass and hostility" his eyes flickered to her trembling lips before returning to her eyes "Why won't you admit what you feel for me already?"

Her mind was so clouded with him and his words that her own voice dared to falter "What feelings?"

Instead of responding like a normal person does, Marcel decided to use his actions rather his words. He leaned forward to press his lips onto hers in a sweet and almost innocent kiss…until Rebekah grabbed onto his lips with her own, refusing to let go by returning the kiss with as much intensity as he did.

He did manage to finally release her soft lips, relishing in how swollen and pink they were.

"Those feelings"

She was still in shock. Not only had Marcel kissed her, liked the first kiss they've shared since so many years ago and she kissed him back, it was out in the open once again of their obvious affection for one another. He had made the first move the first time and he did so again.

She did manage to find her way out of the shock and back to something she recognized as her former self to respond "You first"

He smirked, she could see it, and she could feel it in her bones…that smirk, but before he could respond, Marcel caught the faint but almost clear sound of Davina calling out for them both. He smiled at her and she knew he was smiling…they were in a dark corner and his teeth were a somewhat source of light for god sakes…he then flashed off as if he was never there to begin with.

She quickly walked out of the dark corner with her head held high and her mind a big ball of mess. Her heart pounds against her chest and her entire being racked with fear of the unknown. She accompanied Davina into her car and while she was making her way to the driver's seat, her fingers found their way to her lips, as if to remind herself of what had happened not just five minutes ago.

Bonnie groans but still can't help but smile as Caroline drags her by her hand to her room. Yes, Caroline actually risked clashing with Kol to come and rescue her from her grimoires because she was that worried for her.

Caroline had noticed that Bonnie only passed her by at least a handful of time around the house and said only chat about the spells she's been doing and how close she is to finding Silas and being rid of him once and for all.

Caroline had it with all the talk of spells and Silas and witches and Marcel. Elena wasn't here and she missed her friends. Granted she always sends Elena updates on her semi-fake life every two days, it would still be nice to hug her for once since she moved from Mystic Falls.

When Caroline entered her room and shut the door behind Bonnie, the green eyed witch giggled and shook her head.

"There's no escape is there?" the Witch asked with amusement in her tone.

"Nope" Caroline smiled brightly as she dragged a smiling Bonnie to the bed where she sat down and sat Bonnie down with her.

"I know it's been so long since we talked but you know how important getting rid of Silas is for me"

"I know you want revenge Bon, but you know revenge won't bring Rudy back" Caroline said sadly.

Bonnie nodded "I know but I can't think about it right now, the babies are coming and Silas is out there and god knows what he'll do with Klaus or you when he does get here…he might be fading but he's still pretty strong and if something happens to you…" Caroline cut her off.

"Nothing is going to happen to me, think of me as Belle from beauty and the beast" she grinned and Bonnie smirked and shook her head in response.

"You know it's not the same"

"It's not the same but it's pretty close…beast…beauty…come on…"

They both stared at each other for a while before bursting into laughter.

"Yea you're right" Bonnie agreed "It is somewhat the same"

"Yea well Belle didn't get pregnant and has to stay in a mansion because there's some evil warlock and a bunch of evil witches after me…or Klaus" Caroline grumbled.

"Care, everything will be fine once we get rid of Silas, I was able to take down Davina, and the most powerful witch in New Orleans…a bunch of murdering witches is like a walk in the park"

"Why don't I believe that" Caroline chuckled nervously.

Bonnie watched as the worry on Caroline's face deepened, especially when she noticed Caroline's hands wrapping themselves around her swollen stomach protectively.

Bonnie had noticed that in the months she's been in the mansion, Caroline was slowly becoming excited about the idea of them…she could recall Caroline throwing a bowl and Kol's head for calling her babies Kolletta and Kol Jr. She yelled at Kol, stating that she would never name her children after him. It was actually quite funny the way she looked, like an angry pregnant lady.

What Bonnie had also notice is the staring contest between Klaus and Caroline's stomach. It's not really a contest if the stomach isn't staring but it's as if Klaus's eyes are transfixed on it sometimes. He stares at her stomach as if the babies are communicating with him somehow and it was surprising to see. Bonnie has learnt on the other side that Klaus does care for Caroline. She has seen that look in his eyes before, it's that look Damon gives Elena all the time…it's that longing look…like he knows he's not good for her but he still wants her kind of look.

She respected Damon when she saw that look…even though Damon is an ass, he an ass and he loves Elena deeply. Klaus is a psychotic manic but she can tell that he loves her and those children as much if not more than he loves his family and she can tell that he'll protect them with his life if he has to.

She can also tell that Caroline loves him just as much. She saw when Caroline would pick up that drawing of her and the horse sometimes and smile at it…or when Caroline's raiding her closet for something to wear and stumbles upon the boxes with the dresses and would look at them with that look that she sees on Klaus and Damon…

She knows how loyal Caroline is to her friends, she knows that Caroline would never willfully go against them…she has watched Caroline torture herself with 'what if's' dancing in her eyes at night or when she believes no one's watching. To see her best friend want something and not be able to have it was like watching someone die. Caroline fought everyday to keep her feelings at bay and Bonnie gained a new found respect for her because even when she had those new feelings for Jeremy, rather than be strong and keep them at bay, she sneaked around and finally talked to Elena, it's not that way with Caroline.

Caroline can't just talk to Elena about Klaus, especially now that Elena has changed. Human Elena was open minded…she didn't see the world as black and white. Elena saw more grey than anyone she ever met. She saw the good in people, no matter how evil they portray themselves to be. You would think that with her vampirism, she would be even more open minded about the world and the people around her but it's like vampirism had the opposite effect on her…it made her see more black and white than she knew Elena would ever admit.

If Elena was told that Caroline slept with Klaus and now she's pregnant, she would probably condemn her for sleeping with him, and then try to keep her and her child away from Klaus. Bonnie knew that she's not one hundred percent sure that would happen but based on the New Elena…Bonnie honestly isn't too sure.

Which is why they're in New Orleans…they don't want to just assume that Elena will do or say the things they think she will…it's still better safe than sorry.

Caroline would never go against her friends but this is different…Caroline was a vampire and she had eternity. She would have lived for maybe a thousand years wondering if she had made a mistake letting Klaus go and a hundred years with regret sounds like torture. Now that she's human…she might have lived a human life filled with regrets as well. No one deserves to live like that…you only get one life…whether immortal or not and one shouldn't waste it with regrets and 'what ifs'.

She has feelings for Klaus…whether if it's just feelings or love it doesn't matter. Caroline is her best friend and she wants her to be happy. If she's going to be happy with Klaus…no matter how awkward that sounds then she's okay with it.

"So what's going on with you and Klaus?" Bonnie asked with a heavy sigh.

Caroline looked up at Bonnie at the question "What do you mean what's going on with me and Klaus?"

Bonnie raised her hands in surrender "Hey, don't shoot me, it was just a question. Are you two like…you know…?"

"No Bonnie!" Caroline shrieked softly.

Bonnie frowned "Why not?"

"What do you mean why not…wait…are you actually asking me that with like no judgment or distaste or even disappointment in your voice?"

"Of course, I really wanna know what's going on with you two" Bonnie replied with a reassuring smile even though her mind still thinks it's awkward…she'll try to work through it for Caroline.

Caroline raises an eyebrow but shrugs and looks down for a moment "There's nothing really going on…I mean…we're…I…ugh I don't know, I just can't!"

Bonnie was slightly taken aback but wanted to dig further "Okay…what can't you?"

"Because…wait why are you so open minded about this anyways? I was expecting you of all people to have strong words against Klaus instead of for Klaus"

Bonnie smiled "Caroline, I was on the other side. I saw everything. The look of concentration you have on your face when you read that letter he left you…the longing looks at the drawing and the dresses…you even wear that bracelet when you go to the Salvatore boarding house most of the time. I want my best friend to be happy…if it's with Klaus…then so be it" Bonnie smirked "Besides, if he breaks your heart, I get to find a way to kill him slowly"

Caroline giggled "I love you Bonnie Bennett" and then she shook her head in amusement "Kol is starting to rub off on you"

Bonnie frowned and scoffed in response "Tell me about it" then she smiled "So, why can't you?"

Caroline's smile dimmed "If you've been spying on me like you say you were—" Bonnie rolled her eyes at that "You'd also see that he never tried to reach me since. No calls… no emails…no texts…not even a letter...just complete radio silence and now that I'm pregnant, he suddenly wants me to be in his life again? I'm not settling Bon…I did with Matt. I knew he was still in love with Elena but I was with him anyways and it felt awful sometimes. Knowing that he loves your best friend but he's with you. I won't do that again. He might be here out of obligation and that's fine but I'm not going to be with him just because we're having children or out of obligation"

"You want him to be with you because he wants to be with you…not because of the pregnancy" Bonnie stated, finally seeing everything clearer now.

"Exactly, I mean I slept with him and after that…nothing? Kinda made me feel like…"

"Like he never really wanted you but he just wanted to get in your pants" Bonnie sighed.

"I can't help it" Caroline shrugged.

"Maybe you guys need to talk"

Caroline scoffed "Good luck with that. He has a huge issue with sharing feelings"

Bonnie scoffed "The entire family does"

"Amen to that"

They giggled and soon fell into mindless conversations…it was also thirty minutes later when Caroline brings up Elena.

She told Bonnie everything Elena had said to her on the phone that day and Bonnie was once again open minded, which seemed to becoming a pattern.

"Cut her some slack, she's probably still trying to hold onto hope that she and Stefan can still be friends" Bonnie argued, giving Caroline the 'are you really judging her' look.

"But they can't!" Caroline exasperated "Stefan still loves Elena; it's not possible for two people who have that kind of feelings for each other to be friends"

"Wow, hypocrite much?" the witch snorted.

"What are you…Seriously? Why didn't you spy on Elena or Jeremy or something?" the blonde shrieked and playfully shoved Bonnie slightly.

"Never mind that, the point is…Elena thinks that Stefan is okay with all of it but you know that he's not"

"She doesn't see it because she's too busy banging Damon in every room of that boarding house" Caroline mumbled lowly but Bonnie caught it and her eyes widened at Caroline's obvious distaste.

"Caroline!"

"The only reason why I never said that to her face is because I love Elena and I want her to be happy, no matter who or what makes her happy" Caroline retorted firmly.

"She is happy, I've seen it" Bonnie agreed softly.

"Then if she's happy, I'm happy, but that doesn't mean I approve of Damon"

While Bonnie was taken from her room by Elijah of all people just a few minutes ago, Caroline decided to go into the kitchen to find her-self something to munch on. She was way passed bored in the mansion and Rebekah has been going out more recently, claiming to want space from the suffocating mansion. She wanted it too.

When she pushed the kitchen door opened, her eyes didn't even attempt to land on the fridge; no they landed on the half naked hybrid currently looking at a map in deep concentration.

She's really beginning to think that he's all out of shirts.

She can see his muscles tense and grip the edge of the kitchen isle every few seconds. She can see every muscle on his chest just flex so beautifully anytime he fidgets. She can see those ruby lips of his part ever so slightly and close so delicately and all she can think about…all she can wonder…is how those hands will feel on her skin, her thighs, her hips, her breasts…her ass…

"Rebekah doesn't like drool on the tiles love" she heard him scold lightly and with amusement in his tone.

Dick.

"You're such a dick" she scoffed in disgust before making her way to the fridge, determined not to make any skin-to-skin contact with the hybrid whatsoever.

Klaus turned around and leaned back against the kitchen else before folding his arms across his chest and giving her the 'up and down' look "You smell wonderful sweetheart, what's that fragrance you're wearing?"

"I'm not wearing any—" when she did realize what he really truly meant and once her eyes caught his attempt to hide his smirk her confusion turning into anger and embarrassment in the blink of an eye "You're not a dick, you're an arrogant dick"

His smirked widened "I adore your pregnancy hormones"

She scoffed and shook her head, ready to have a meeting with the fridge when she felt this strange sensation on the left side of her stomach. She paused.

She felt it again but stronger "Oh"

Klaus stood straight and his amusement died so quickly, a dark shade of worry taking over him instantly as he slowly approaches her "What's wrong sweetheart?"

Then she felt it again and she unexpectedly smiles "Oh…"

"Sweetheart…"

Caroline grabbed his hand before he could get further and pressed it against her swollen stomach.

That's when he felt it. Like a …

"Is that…"

Caroline felt the same sensation in the right side of her stomach and grabbed the other hand and placed it where the kick was. She smiled brightly.

Klaus unconsciously gasps and smiles slightly at the sensation. His eyes flickered down to hers and her eyes met his.

"They're kicking" she whispered.

Elijah opens the door to the study and moves aside to allow Bonnie to go inside. She was met with the sight of Davina sitting patiently on a couch. She smiled. Bonnie also noticed Rebekah's annoyed glance from the opposite side of Davina's seated position.

"Davina" she called.

The girl's eyes darted right at Bonnie and she stood up immediately, followed by Rebekah who stood with tired sigh. Davina was smiling at the green eyed witch before approaching her with contained excitement "Bonnie…" her eyes darted to Elijah standing behind Bonnie and her smile vanishes, but a sarcastic smile returns.

"I heard I was summoned by the great Elijah Mikaelson"

Elijah frowned at her tone of voice "I cannot summon you." His eyes darted to Rebekah who was making her way towards the door "I asked you to ask Davina if she would like to come to the mansion for a meeting with Bonnie in regards to her magic"

Rebekah stopped by the doors and pulled them open before throwing a look towards Elijah from over her shoulder "Same thing" and she was out of the room.

Elijah stared at the doors for a while before he slowly turned to Davina's expectant stare "I apologize for my sister's bitterness, for some reason, Rebekah finds someone's irritation to be amusing"

"It's okay, I should have known better" Davina nodded.

"It's good to see you. I asked you to come so you can help us with the witches in New Orleans" Bonnie explained, while approaching the couch and slowly sat down, allowing Davina to follow.

"My dark magic isn't strong enough to use against them Bonnie, so how can I help?"

"I know. Which is why I'm giving you your magic back so that you'll be able to see when the witches are doing magic and we can be prepared for it" Bonnie explained further, causing Davina to sit straight at the mention of her magic being returned "I'm sorry I can't give you your magic back on better terms"

Davina slowly relaxed in her seat and smiled sadly at Bonnie "its okay, I knew on some level that if I did get my magic back it would not have been on good terms but I am grateful for your honesty. I've been lied to by too many people and I'm tired of it"

Bonnie then stood and stretched out her hands in front of Davina, who took them and stood as well.

"Let this be a warning, your magic will kill you one day because your body cannot hold that much power"

Davina was confused "Won't your magic and mines to the same to you?"

Bonnie smiled "Yes and No. My expression magic is the most unstable and if used badly, I can die again. All witches have their limit, even the most powerful ones, but the stronger the witch, the lesser the limit…but a limit nonetheless"

Bonnie focused and mumbled the spell she needed to return the young girl's magic. When she felt the magic leave her body, it was like a huge weight was lifted from her entire body…it was relieving.

She could tell when Davina got her magic because she smiled so brightly that Bonnie had to smile as well.

Bonnie then watched as Davina gasped and suddenly the happiness in the room disappeared and in came in a deep and strangling sense of fear.

Davina watched as the witches approached the mansion slowly, readying them-selves…she heard Sabine…

"Get Davina, harm Hayley if you must but do not kill her"

"They found me…they're coming for me…they cannot find me…"

So tell me what you really think of the chapter? There's not much Klaroline but it's greatly klaroline-centric. Klaus version...Caroline version...Bonnie talking about klaroline...klaroline scene. I really wanna know...reviews gives me inspiration. :D :D
