Old Friends

Beckett was out with Johanna Martha and Kat at the corner grocery store when they bumped into a familiar face. Prior to leaving the loft; Beckett helped her daughter with their dress up playtime. So the girls were still in their dress up costumes as they went grocery shopping with their mom.

The trio was rounding the corner of the store where the vegetable section connected with the fruit section in the produce area. Beckett had grabbed a cart that was made for three kids to sit in it.

"Maddie?" Beckett said.

"Kate?" Maddie said.

They hadn't seen each other in years.

"Okay. Next time I'm hitting on a guy you like, come clean with me before I go out with him so you don't have to arrest me to break up the date."

"Madison, that's not…"

"No, no, no, no, no. I get it. You're hot for Castle. You want to make little Castle babies. Why couldn't you just be honest?"

"Maddie."

"What?"

"He can hear us."

"Oh, really?"

"Yes."

"Rick's behind the mirror?"

"Yeah."

Maddie was a bit surprised to see Beckett perusing the corner grocery store with two children under the age of ten.

"So what's going on?" Maddie asked.

"Oh nothing; just had to pick a few things and something for dinner tonight."

"Okay. Who are these little cuties?"

"My name is Johanna Martha Castle."

"And I'm Katherine Mae Castle."

Maddie had a puzzled look on her face.

"Castle?" Maddie questioned.

"Yeah I married Rick about ten years ago and had some little Castle babies." Beckett jested.

"JM and Kat are my daughters; my sons are with Rick, our daughter Alexis and her husband."

Beckett and Maddie talked some more before they parted ways. Before they went on with their grocery shopping; Beckett invited Maddie over for dinner one night during the week.

About a few hours later Beckett and the girls arrived home. Beckett and Castle unpacked the grocery bags while the girls went to play with their sister, brothers and brother in law. Once the groceries were put away; Castle started making his fabulous pasta carbonara for dinner.

"You'll never guess who the girls and I bumped into at the corner store?" Beckett said as she poured some wine for her and Castle.
