Hey everybody! I'm back at it. Sorry it took so long, college is kinda crazy. But I am now on summer break and able to update more often. Thanks to the reviewers and followers. Hope to get more I have used more paragraphs like you wanted and sorry about certain paragraphs being longer than others, I did it because it is all one event. So yeah thanks for reading and keep reviewing I absolutely love feedback.
Chapter 7:
"So what is with this Moody guy?" Rin asked the Hogwarts veterans full of genuine curiosity and all but Ron stayed silent, "My dad told me that he used to be an auror, which is a dark wizard hunter, he was supposed to be completely mental and never showed mercy of any kind. But he retired years ago and no one has seen him since." Ron's story made the teenagers collectively gulp and worry about what was ahead of them.
After a short time they reached the class room and sat down around them they could see diagrams of creatures and depictions of curses and other dark spells but what was most striking was the collection of rather large and vicious looking spider-esque animals. Finally Moody entered the classroom and told everyone to be quiet and sit down." Alastor Moody. Ex-Auror, Ministry malcontent and your new defense against the dark arts teacher..." the old man spoke as he wrote his name on the chalk board, at this time Rin had begun to zone out and was ever so slowly falling asleep until a piece of chalk flies at him hitting him in the forehead causing him to yell and fall out of his chair much to the amusement of the Slytherins. "Okumura you will have plenty of time to sleep when you're dead which will be quite soon if you don't pay bloody attention in my class! Understood!?" Rin just nodded repeatedly unable to stop being so intimidated by his new teacher.
"Now, as I was saying, who can name one of the Unforgivable Curses?" not a hand went up until Ron quietly volunteered " my dad told me about one it was the ummm Imperius Curse" everyone stared at Ron and then to Moody when he spoke " Your father would know that one, it caused a bunch a trouble for the ministry a few years ago." After giving Ron a slight nod he moved and grabbed the closest of the spider creatures and magically enlarged it and then pointed his wand at it and yelled "Imperio!" smiling wickedly the man had the spider dance around the room causing all the students to laugh especially when he made it land on Malfoy's head and then telling him it was deadly, this made Rin and Harry smile, but then he got serious and said "what shall I have her do next, drown herself or maybe jump out the window? Do you see why this would cause a problem anyone could claim they were doing you-know-who's work under the Imperius curse and they could be lying. Now can anyone give me another curse?" he said this and stared directly at Neville Longbottom and finally the boy said the Cruciatus Curse. Moody took on a somber look and said "The Cruciatus or the Torture curse is one of the most dangerous curses in existence..." he pointed his wand at the spider again and yelled the curse which immediately caused the creature to squirm and screech from sheer agony and misery and with every second Neville looked more and more ill until Rin yelled "Old Man! knock it off! can't you see your making Neville ill?!" and Moody stopped and said "There is only one more curse does anyone want to say what it is?" Rin was still fuming and didn't care what the hell the curse was until moody demonstrated "Avada Kedvara!" Rin became paler and he even felt his heart grow cold for a moment he just sat down and was quiet until Moody dismissed class he didn't even noticed how Shiemi began to quietly sob.
Rin was finally snapped out of his stupor when Hermione began yelling and saying how irresponsible it was to demonstrate those curses in the presence of students and all he said was "No matter how inappropriate this class is or how frightening, it's just like how Harry said we're here to learn how to defend ourselves against dark magic and how can we do that if we have never seen the spells they are going to use against us." Hermione was dumbstruck by this answer and just remained silent but Shiemi just kept crying and said "that spell, the last one shouldn't ever exist!" and she ran away. They all just watched as she ran Rin told them to let her be for a while and that she will be fine and to just give her some time alone. After that day the weeks just seemed to fly by.
-Time Skip: October 1st-
Everyone had begun to feel like they were getting used to things around Hogwarts, nothing really changed, except for Rin he actually studied his homework and was doing well and he had even kept up with his training with his demon powers in secret of course. After everyone was asleep in the dorms he would sneak down and practice lighting candles and then putting them out, he accidently almost set the common room on fire only once.
But when October finally arrived so did the other two schools and all the students were amazed by their entrances, None more so than the Exorcists. The Durmstrang school arrived by magic pirate ship that rose up from the black lake while Beuxbatons arrived in a carriage drawn by several Pegasus's.
That night's dinner was no less spectacular, Rin stuffed himself to the ire of his classmates, fellow exwires, his brother and most of the Hogwarts staff; Rin only stopped eating when Dumbledore spoke. "Welcome Durmstrang and Beuxbatons, we are most happy to have you're here with us for this most amazing event as well as Mr. Barty Crouch from the ministry." there was some applause given and he silenced everyone again "we are all very excited for the return of the famous triwizard tournament as well as our place as the host school this year. Please Mr. Filch bring the cup." Filch went to the main hall and dragged a rather large box up to the podium Dumbledore tapped it and allowed it to fold away to reveal a cup and within it a burning blue flame which made Rin almost fall when he saw it, only Harry seemed to notice. " This is the Goblet of Fire those who wish to participate will enter their names into the Goblet and on the 31st the representatives will be selected, but due to the deadly history of the tournament we are barring any student under the age of 17 from entering" at this there were several grunts and yells of disapproval and contempt as well as a look from Yukio to Rin basically meaning that means you, little brother which Rin ignored. "SILENCE!" Dumbledore yelled. "It is for your own safety that we have this rule, now we have a long month of preparations ahead of us so all of you go and rest and get yourselves ready." And with that all were dismissed for the night.
-Time Skip: October 31st-
After the events of the 1st everything pretty much back to normal; class, lunch, dinner, homework. The only real change was the presence of the foreign students. But today everything was going to change…. Rin was running down for dinner, completely oblivious today was the 31st and was just plain starving he sat down and waited and waited and waited for the food but was sorely disappointed when nothing came and that's when he noticed everyone was staring up at the front. "Tonight is the night everyone!" said Dumbledore with his usual grin "And we also have another guest with us the Headmaster of True Cross Academy Mephisto Pheles. Tonight we shall see which Students have been chosen for the chance to raise the Triwizard Cup for their school!" and that's when the cup started to flicker wildly and when a piece of paper flew out "Our first representative for Durmstrang…. Victor Krum!" cheers resounded the room and all went quiet again and the cup shot out another name "For Beuxbatons…. Fleur Delacour!" even more cheers and a final name appeared "and finally for Hogwarts…. Cedric Diggory!" the Hufflepuffs exploded with cheers and hoots. Dumbledore quieted the room an began to speak again when the cup flickered again only this time it had turned a crimson color and out popped another paper which Dumbledore grabbed nervously "Harry Potter… Harry Potter!" the room was silent not a word spoken and when Harry stood everybody looked at him Rin with curiosity, Ron with anger, everyone else with shock Harry followed the other representatives and before Dumbledore could follow the Goblet of Fire Shot forth a pillar of blue fire up to the ceiling with another piece of paper "Okumura, Rin" Mephisto smiled wickedly at hearing Dumbledore say this and Rin stood and walked away into the room with harry thinking why did it call me?! I didn't put my name in that cup and I'm pretty sure neither did harry besides were not old enough we couldn't get past the age line the old man put around it without turning into bearded freaks like the twins! and so he walked into the room behind the staff
Hope you like cliff hangers! XD. but yeah. What's gonna happen? Is Mephisto behind this? Oh and btw that little bit about Harry noticing Rin's reaction to the Goblet will be important later so remember that kiddies!
