Chapter 11
As soon as Rin entered the tent he was met with stares of bewilderment but he honestly really didn't care at this exact moment, all he knew was he was exhausted and then all he knew was darkness, he had collapsed and passed out.
Rin awoke to yelling from different voices, some more recognizable than others.
"Professor Dumbledore I hold you accountable for this whole situation, Rin took the liberty of informing you of his... Origins and yet you still let him compete in these ridiculous trials!" The yelling voice belonged to Yukio, and Rin could tell his brother was absolutely livid. Rin chose just to remain as if asleep so he could listen "Mr. Okumura you know as well as I that I have no control over the situation with your brother or Mr. Potter. Madam Pomfrey has assured me that he will wake up by tomorrow and the students will believe his actions just an act of magic so all should be well." Yukio just shook his head and sighed, he looked to his apparently asleep brother and left the room.
"You can get up now Mr. Okumura your brother has left." The old man smiled and Rin making him flinch a bit at the strange twinkle in his eyes. "You got first place, just so you know, you had the fastest time of all of the competitors. I will leave you to your resting I'm sure you will plenty of visitors tomorrow." The old man turned about to leave and then stopped and said " ah but before I leave I should let you know that headmaster Pheles will be coming to talk to you in the morning. Good night." And with that Dumbledore left the room, leaving Rin to his thoughts.
~the next morning~
"Hello Rin." Rin immediatley awoke to the smiling face of his, unbeknownst to him, half brother. "Good morning Headmaster Pheles, Headmaster Dumbledore said you wanted to speak with me about something." The constantly smiling demon replied curtly "yes, you revealed your powers against my explicit command, fortunately you aren't going to be punished because the majority of the school believe it a fancy piece of magic, and not you being demonic in nature, so all is forgiven but if you do end up revealing your...heritage you will be punished. Do you understand Rin?" Rin nodded furiously not wanting to think about what kind of punishment Pheles might have in mind, the though sent shivers down his spine through his tail. "Good, oh and good luck with the next trial. And do remember what I tell you this time... or else" the older demon chuckled maliciously; Rin could only nod as Pheles left the room. Rin just layed down in the hospital bed and closed his eyes trying to relax until he heard more footsteps coming towards his room he turned to look and the new visitors and it was none other than the infamous golden trio as well as the True Cross Crew instantly picking up Rin's mood. "Hey guys!" He greeted them happily "How's it going?" This greeting instantly pissed off Suguro "YOU JACKASS! BE GLAD YOU'RE ALREADY IN THE HOSPITAL OR I WOULD PUT YOU BACK IN HERE FOR BEING SO FUCKING STUPID!" this immediately got Rin out of bed face to face with Bon making chibi-bon hiss at him "WHO ARE YOU CALLING IDIOT YOU PUNK BAND REHECT!" at this point Hermione, Ron, and Harry were all more than a little shocked up until Shiemi practically tackled Rin "were all so glad you're alright Rin she said squeezing him almost in tears." Rin was more or less taken aback and completely done fighting with Suguro and was currently holding Shiemi until Kimeki coughed due to in her opinion "an uncomfortably long hug for everyone." After the hug was broken he smiled at everyone and asked how things were going with everything and where the golden egg he captured was as well as the scores of the first trial, which Hermione and Ron happily shared. "Oh your golden egg was taken to your room its still waiting for you. Apparently it's a clue to getting to the next trial which isn't too far away mind you so I would recommend trying to figure it out as soon as possible." Hermione informed him and then Ron cut in giving him the information on the scores of the trial "Apparently you are in the lead mate, not that anyone can say you don't deserve it you out fire blasted a bloody dragon!" "Ronald! Language!" Hermione cut in for a moment then let him continue "Harry and Krum are tied for second, then Cedric and then Fleur is in last place." Rin was slightly shocked that he was in first place in front of everyone but was broken from his thoughts by Ron and Hermione bombarding him with questions about the spells he used to protect himself as well as launching the blue flames, Hermione theorized that it was a modified fiendfyre or bluebell fire spell but didnt understand how it could be controlled so well and how it could hurt a dragon which are usually resistant to fire in general. Realizing this line of questioning was getting dangerous for Rin, Harry said that Rin was tired and probably didn't need the 3rd degree from everyone and then got everyone outside while smiling at Rin saying he would see him tomorrow and that he should get some sleep which Rin happily agreed to.
~The Next Morning~
Rin was in his dorm again and was about to open up the golden egg as Harry was walking in and tackled him to the ground before the egg could be opened. "Jeez man are you nuts?!" Rin yelled Harry rubbed the back of his neck and then explained the strange scrreching from the egg and told him that it must be some kind of riddle or something. "I have no idea how to solve it yet but I'm sure we will figure it out but right now we have to talk." Harry gave Rin a serious look "Ron and Hermione are our friends and I trust both of them with my life and you can too. I don't feel right hiding things from them and I think you should tell them the truth about... well you know. But it's your secret and your decision, I won't tell them if you say not to." Rin wasn't surprised by what Harry said and he agreed with Harry that they could be trusted and that they would need to figure out a time and a place they could get some privacy to talk to them and show them what Rin could do. The boys decided to talk to them in the common room after everyone had gone to sleep and to show them how Rin practiced with the candles. After their discussion the boys proceeded with their regular day and Rin was welcomed to the great hall with stares and plenty of applause and congratulations from many other students who were impressed with his performance in the trial he finally managed to wade his way through the crowd to eat some breakfast and get ready for classes. He finished up his food and left quickly with the rest of his friends in tow for the classes for the day.
~later that evening~
After thinking about the egg for a while and finishing up a paper for potions Rin was greeting by Shiemi sitting next to him on the couch in the common room. "Rin you know we were all really worried about you after the trial even Suguro was concerned...in his own way... but I dont know what any of us would do if you weren't going to come back to us and i just thought i would let you know that. Well i have to go stuy for Herbology. Bye." She said cheerfully but before she could he grabbed her arm blushing and thanked her and let her go study and then he sat and thought and waited until he realized it was dark outside and he was alone.
About 10 minutes later Rin was joined by the Gryffindor trio and both Ron and Hermione were curious as to why they were all alone in the common room at the middle of the night. Harry told them that Rin would explain. "Hey..." Rin said nervously "I have something to show you guys" He pulled out his candles from under the table and closed his eyes and began focusing and as Ron was about to start complaining the flames on the candles lit making both he and Hermione's jaws drop. "You see it wasn't exactly magic that helped me with the dragon... I am actually half demon...and that's not all I am also... the son of Satan..." if it was possible to hear a person's mind break you would of heard both Hermione's and Ron's snap like twigs. Hermione was the first to recover though "that actually explains... a lot.. do you mind if I ask you if there is anything else we should know about you that's important..." "well the majority of my demonic power is sealed the the sword that I always carry with me and I can't exactly control my full power yet but I am working on it. That's about it oh and Dumbledore already knows and Harry has known for a while i told him not to tell you. And we believe whoever put his name in the goblet put mine in too." "But why you're not even from here?" Ron finally piped in, looking to him Harry answered "we aren't sure yet but we plan on finding out and the only way to find out is to continue with the trials for now." The two other members of the trio nodded and they all decided they needed to sleep on this new information, it would be a lot to process after all, and with that they all went to bed for the evening.
~undisclosed location~
"My lord both of the boys have progressed through the first trial." Said a slightly portly balding man who very much resembled a rodent. "Excellent. Tell our informant to keep sending us reports on their progress.." "yes my lord." The man left leaving his master with a large serpent sitting next to him on the floor "worry not my pet soon very soon my plans will come to fruition. And with the unexpected new demon child in the mix I maybe able to even to increase my power further." The evil man chuckled silently into the dark, cold night.
Well I honestly did not think that i would be able to get this done so quickly but here it is.
