Dancing In The Rain
It was another rainy day in Manhattan and the two love birds had some down time. Castle didn't have Gina getting on his case for meeting a deadline. Things were all good at the precinct. Ryan and Espo were back from their paternity leave so they were in charge at the 54th now.
"Let's go for a walk while we have time." Castle suggested.
"It's raining out there. Pouring."
"I know that. A little rain won't hurt us. Come on; let's live a little, Kate."
Beckett shook her head.
"You're my nine year old on a sugar high."
Castle laughed.
"Is that a yes?"
"It's a yes; babe."
With that as the rain sort of lightened up a bit and the duo headed out. They made their way to one of the nearby parks.
Midway through their walk the rain picked up again and Beckett realized why Castle wanted to go out for a walk in the rain.
"Very cunning; babe."
"I have no idea what you mean by that." Castle said trying to play it cool.
"That's a bunch of bull and you know it."
At that moment Castle realized that Beckett knew he was bluffing.
"You haven't seen me soaked from the rain since I showed up at the loft after Alexis' high school graduation. It's obvious that you wanted to see me in a wet t-shirt; babe."
Castle didn't reply.
"Let's dance."
"Okay…" Castle said.
With that they danced in the middle of the rain in the park.
Once the dance ended they headed back to the loft. Beckett wanted to check in on Lanie and Jenny since they were only ones home with their respective newborns. Lanie and Jenny didn't have much practice with twins unlike Beckett.
