Intrigued
Beckett had returned to work after her time off. On her first day back; Ryan and Espo caught a case that required the old team to look at it. So Beckett pulled double duty between her responsibilities as Captain while she temporarily reverted back to her Detective training. Castle came into help with the case when Ryan and Espo told Beckett about the case they caught.
The body was found in the exact same location that Jessica Margolis had been found years ago when Castle was the new guy on Beckett's team.
"This is just like the Margolis case." Castle said when they were at the crime scene.
Beckett gave her husband her look.
"What am I supposed to say? Everyone is looking at me. I'm not meant to be the bad guy in this case. You are. Besides, I gave you the look."
"What look?"
"The "look" look. My look… Please don't tell me after four years you don't know the look."
After years of knowing better especially after Meredith dropping by to take care of Alexis when Alexis had mono; Castle knew that he should keep quite.
Since Lanie was still on maternity leave; every precinct in New York was plagued with dealing with Perlmutter. No one was happy about that; Perlmutter included.
"What does it look like, Perlmutter?" Beckett asked when she and Castle came up to the body.
"Captain…"
"Castle." Perlmutter said with a bit of disdain in his voice.
With that Perlmutter filled Beckett and Castle in before Ryan and Espo came over with what they had from the interviews they had just conducted.
After that Perlmutter left with the body while the old gang left to return the 54th to work on the case.
