Odds POV

i raced out of the airport and into a taxi. I had already convinced my awesome parents to let me stay at the school for winter break and was planning on surprising Astrid. When I heard that somethingw was up with the supercomputer and Aelita, I rushed as fast as I could. They hadn't told me much as they were in a hurry too but I kinda bot the deal. Aelita disappeared on lyoko, and Astrid followed her. I sat in the back of the taxi anxiously tapping my foot. Couldn't this thing move faster?

By the time I got back to the school dawn was approaching. I yawned while sprinted across the yard to the factory. I hadn't gotten much sleep during the plane ride. When I made it to the passage I saw Jeremy hurrying down. I quickly catch up to him and we grabbed the skate board and scooter. Jeremy knew about as much as me, Yumi didn't have much time to fill us in. When we got down to the supercomputer we didn't have to speak a word to each other to know where we went.

As soon as I was virtualized on lyoko a red laser from the monsters wizzed past my shoulder. I froze as i saw the probably twenty. Monsters around this hologram like dome. I felt hands pulled me back and then to the left behind a rock. Yumi was already here.

"Yumi you scared me! Where's Ulrich shouldn't he be here too? And William?" I asked. Those two didn't live that far away so it shouldn't have taken them too long to get here. Just as Yumi was about to speak Jeremy's voice came through the computer.

"Ulrich, William, and Aelita are going for the tower." He said and I didn't say anything for a few seconds. Suddenly fear rushed up though me.

"Then why are we watching this...?" I asked hesitantly not knowing if I want the answer.

"Astrid is in there." Yumi said sadly. She has probably been watchng this the longest.

"Then we have to get her out!" I said stubbornly a lean over the edge and fire a laser arrow at one. It exploded momentarily but reformed after a few seconds.

"I've tried that! I don't know why they won't die." Yumi said and Jeremy spoke up again.

"They're infused with some sort of strange energy. Like an upgrade or something. I don't think it will last long though." He said and I cursed under my breath. How long will Astrid be trapped in there? What's even going on? I thought for a second and then sat back down.

"What happens when they deactivate the tower?" I asked and while Yumi shrugged Jeremy answered.

"They're close, I assume the bubble will dissapear." He said anticipating Aelita entering the tower.

Yumi and I waited for a few minutes without speaking, casting looks over the side every few seconds as if Astrid would just come out When we looked. Eventually we heard Jeremy cheer, and slowly the bubble started disintegrating. I shot a laser arrow at a block and it exploded. Immediately Yumi and I started fighting all of the monsters, trying to give Astrid a clear pathway when she gets out. When we destroyed all of the monsters we ran toward the bubble.

"Astrid!" I yelled as she appeared in a boy's arms. She was passed out and he was carefully holding her as to not hurt her. The boy was roughly our age by the looks of it, and he looked like William a tad with his black rough hair. However this guy comes across more of someone who is less serious or angry looking as William.

Yumi through her fans at him and I shot a few laser arrows before running at him. He dodged the projectiles by jumping high in the air. He landed behind us next go the edge of the ice sector dropping off into the digital sea. I whipped around but ad I started running at him I was pushed over from the shot of a block. The boy lifted his hand up and a faint yellow barrier came around him and astrid. Then he gave us a smile and took a backward step off the cliff. Before I could react I was hit two more times and was devirtualized.

Williams POV

Just as they came into view we saw the man holding Astrid jump into the digital sea. Instead of making a big pillar of light, a huge dent in the digital sea appeared. I let them through with supposedly not harming them. At least that's what Jeremy told us when we were back at the computer.

"But how do we, get her back then? She was controlled by Xana like you said just unconscious. Shouldn't it be easier tHan William?" Ulrich said and I winced, being xanas slave wasn't fun.

"We could do a return to the past right?" Odd asked and Jeremy just shook his head.

"No, well I mean we could but I don't put Astrid's life in the hands of return to the past." He said and we all agreed.

"Well what about that guy? Why would Xana make a Spector of someone we dont know?" Yumi said and the thought made me sick as I realized it was someone I knew. Astrid too.

"That was Alex, he's my cousin." I said and Jeremy looked away from the screen for a second.

"William do you know why Xana would try this?" He asked holding somethung back.

"I don't know." I said and Jeremy sighed.

"The only problem is that that wasn't a Spector. That was a real person.." Jeremy said typing away at the keyboard again.

"that's not possible." I said and everybody looked at me. Most of the time we trusted what Jeremy says but this is wrong, I know for sure. " Alex is over twenty years old, that was him as a teenager. It's not possible for that to be him." As I spoke a chill ran through the room.

"How is that possible?" Yumi asked confused. We all are.

"Maybe xana did some coding thing to make him look like he's our age.." Aelita said, this whole time she had stayed quiet. As if something was bothering her.

"it's possible, but it would be very difficult. Infact it would be easier to just... No Nevermind." he said abruptedly, and even though no one said anything it's obvious to tell we were all thinking something was up.

"So when do you think we'll find her?" Odd asked impatiently. Ulrich shifted his feet and yumi stretched. We are all anxious to get on the move.

" You guys go home. me and Jeremy wil stay up trying to work something out. We might have to break out the skid again." Aelita said and Jeremy considered it. I don't know much about the skid except for they havent had to use it in a long time. I sighed and Yumi, Odd, Ulrich, and I headed up the elevator. Yumi wished them a sad good luck. We were silent the whole way back.

Astrid's POV

I woke up tired, warm, and comfortable. One of those days where you want to stay in bed all day. I rolled around under the covers for a split second until I remembered where I was. I sat up instantly banging my head on the top of the bed banister. What is this place? I looked around the bright fancy room I was in.

The walls were a sky blue and the floor was covered in a soft shaggy bright red carpet. A large blue russet dresser stood up against the wall and on the other side of the room was a huge bookshelf. Filled with many different books. On the wall was a mirror, a picture of a house, and a cute preteen looking calendar. To doors we reconnected to the bedroom as well. On was opened go what looked like a bathroom.

I swung my legs off the bed and gasped as I saw what I was wearing. A silk pair of pajamas with a quill and ink on them. How did I change into these clothes? I pushed the thought out if my mind and started walking around the room. If I were to compare this to the dorm at school...well let's just say I shouldn't compare it.

After a minute of checking everything out in the room I walked over to the door leading out. I quickly opened the door but what I saw on the other side made me freeze. A big walk in closet filled with tons of if fervent kinds of clothes. From snow stuff to regular normal days to days sat a beach. The clothes didn't interest me the tiniest bit. However the fact it wasnt a door out did. Frantically I ran around the room, searching for anytype of exit I could use.

After an hour of searching for any possible exit the only sliver of hope I had was a string attached to a trap door leading up to what looked like an attic. However having it being covered with a thick layer of dust, and my lungs not breathing so great as it is, I decided to try a different way. Although, everytime I seemed go come back to the trap door.

Finally I got up my courage and went throught the dusty attic. I held my breath for most of the way, breathing only when necessary. Soon I made it the whole way thought the tunnelish attic. What I found on the other side I would much farther want to stay in the claustrophobic room.
