Vow Renewal Preparations

Castle was putting the finishing touches on the vow renewal preparations. Beckett had no idea what was going on with the vow renewal. All Castle had told her was that they'd do the renewal in a few months when the kids were on their winter break. Of course that wasn't the actual plan. The actual plan was that the renewal was going to happen this weekend at the house in The Hamptons where they had said I do eleven years ago.

Lanie and Alexis would take on the roles of being maid of honor and best man at the renewal just as they were at the original wedding. The boys would be groomsmen again much to their dismay.

"Guys. I asked Alexis to be my best man. Aside from Beckett, she's the most important person in my life…"

Castle would send the dress, Beckett's mother's dress to the house. He just had to figure out how to involve Johanna Martha, the twins and James Royce in the ceremony.

So far the kids were keeping things quiet which Castle was happy about. Beckett was trying to get answers out of her kids about the renewal but was having no luck.

That night Beckett was making dinner since Castle was out doing a reading at one of the local bookstores. Beckett was making the same dinner she had made the when she and Castle had dinner Vinny "The Scar" Cardano when Castle had taken her to The Hamptons for the first time.

"Mommy; are we going to watch Nebula 9 tonight?"

Castle had his laser tag tradition amongst other ones with the kids so it was only right for Beckett to have her own traditions with the kids. When the kids were a bit older; Beckett would start another tradition with them. One that she had with her mother. Beckett would start watching Temptation Lane with the kids.

"Sure; baby. We'll sit down with some ice cream and watch some episodes of Nebula 9."

The kids were excited when their mother said yes.

"Go wash up. Dinner is ready."

With that the kids rushed over to the bathroom and washed up. It wasn't long after the kids had made their way to the island counter where Beckett had placed their plates where they usually sat. Dinner went by fast.

When Castle got home that night he saw his wife and kids fast asleep on the couch with Nebula 9 still playing on the tv and ice cream bowls on the table before them. Castle couldn't help but smile at the sight in front of him.
