I was going to call the others to see where they were or something, but miraculously, my battery died...and William didn't have his phone. So we were walking throughout the school trying to find where one of them might have been.

"Theyre probably all hiding in the woods or something, we should leave them be." I said but William shook his head.

"If we don't discuss this now then we never will." He said and I looked him up and down. He really was a good leader. I smiled and he smiled back, then with new determination we headed into the woods.

We split up. I went one way he went the other, and we agreed to meet back up there in an hour at the most. I went to the one place I knew Aelita would be, the hermitage. Along the way though I, literally, ran into Eric.

"Ooof." Was the noise he made as I barreled over him.

"Ahh" I let out a surprised shriek free falling and finding myself on the ground next to him.

"Watch it." He said harshly and I winced, when he saw it was me his gaze soften...a little.

"Sorry, I'm kinda in a hurry." I said and he cocked his head.

"So was Odd. Just a few minutes ago he came sprinting down this path." Eric said and I thought about that for a moment. This path leads to the sewer cover. He was heading toward the factory..

"Interesting." I said flatly and then smiled as I helped him up and brushed off my jeans. " But I gotta go. Sorry about being crabby earlier. See ya tomorrow!" I said and dashed along again.

Before I came upon the hermitage, though, I spotted Ulrich. I ran to him and he waved half-heartedly.

"Hey." He said wearily. I don't think he wants to fight anymore.

"Hey. Listen, I think its pretty obvious that if everyone denied kissing everybody else than something must be up." I started not realizing how much I had really thought about it.

"wait." He said and took a step towards me. My back was against a tree that I stood infront of and I leaned back against it as he leaned toward me. "You can stop, I beleive you."

"You do? That's great. Look, let's go find the others." I said turning my head to maneuver out of this uncomfortable position. But he took his hand and moved my head around to look at him Ever so gently.

"Your cute when your like this." He said and leaned in to press his lips against mine. I heard a gasp somewhere near shoved him back but he launched himself and grabbed my arm.

"Xana!" I said and after I did the symbols came in his eyes. Well the specters eyes. Before I could do anything an electric current was sent through me unlike anyone before. I let out a scream so loud I'm sure William could hear it now. The electricity ran up my arm and into my body. When he let go I fell to the ground and collapsed.

Black spots danced around my vision and I heard a brung as someone slammed into the Ulrich Spector. I gingerly felt my arm and the immediate pain almost made me black out. Just stay awake...stay awake...stay...awake...

Erics POV

When I saw him kiss her I was astonished, especially since there was this rumor going around that I kissed her. When she shoved him off he came back and...used this...power I guess, to electrify her.

I slammed into him when she collapsed but u could hear footsteps heading this way. I'm not surprised, her scream may have made my ears bleed. I don't blame her though, that looked like some heavy bolts.

i dodged out of the way of his super human strength and kicked him from behind. The footsteps got closer and the girl, yuhi or something...Yumi! Yumi took one look at Astrid and swung at Ulrich. Weren't they friends or something? Then from the other direction Ulrich...wait Ulrich? I think I'm a bit dizzy.

"Eric! Get out of here quick!" Ulrich said and distracted the other Ulrich while Yumi checked out Astrid. I ignored what Ulrich said and bents own beside Yumi.

"Is she okay?" I asked but the worry in Yumis eyes said it all.

"I don't know..." She said and started to try and pick her up.m

"I'll get her" I said and gingerly picked her up. Her white hair brushed across her face as I lifted her off the ground. I bent my head down and checked her breathing. It wasn't steady but at least she was breathing.

"where should we take her? Your factory hide out?" Yumi looked surprised that I said that. While my parents were never too eager to tell me anything I had to sneak around a bit. I didn't mean to find them there but I saw them whilst exploring.

"A little help!" Ulrich said as he was thrown into a tree. He groaned but got back up again. Geesh what's with these people.

I did a double take as I looked at the other Ulrich, which was no longer other Ulrich, it was other jim. It had switched into our overly enthusiastic gym teacher.

"Yes, just, take her there and tell jeremh, the blonde headed boy in glasses, that me and Ulrich will be there as soon as we can." Yumi said and rushed to help Ulrich. I nodded and carried Astrid over to the porthole thing they went through.

It took a while to get us both through but eventually I made it to an elevator. I went down the elevator just as she was starting to get heavy in my arms. When the doors opened on a floor that had a giant computer...yep I'm definitely dizxy...did I get shocked too?

"What? Who are you?" He blonde headed kid named Jeremy asked. When he saw Astrid though he shut up. "What's happened now?" He asked even though he seemed bossy you could hear the concern in his voice.

"She was shocked by Ulrich who wasn't really Ulrich and eventually turned into jim by the way Yumi and Ulrich will be here as soon as they can." I said and he nodded. then he turned to his computer screen.

"Odd, she's fine, Aelita she's fine. Just focus on getting the tower deactivated and she'll be even better...what does it matter he's already seen the computer it can't get much worse." He said and I scratched my head.

"You uh, got friends in there?" I asked and he scowled.

"Don't worry about it. Just watch over astrid okay?" He said and I shrugged. I had laid her down against the wall. I sat next to her and "watched" her. Really I was observing what Jeremy was doing on the awesome computer.

"Hey." Ulrich said as he and Yumi came out of the elevator. "We're here."

Astrid'S POV

After I lost consciousness I wasn't instantly waking up two hours later, nope I had to dream. I was in the same dumb room that Xana had trapped me in. Except this time there was a door leading out. I walked out of it and was swept up by where I was.

There was a small spiral staircase that led to the floor below that had a front door on a wall after you stepped out. I went down and to my left was a hall way and to my right was a living room. I went down the small hallway and found a kitchen. Through the kitchen was a table that a woman, a man, a preteen boy, and a little girl were sitting at.

The girl, she had white hair. I started to back away but tripped over the corner of the refrigerator and knocked over a glass. They looked over and the father came to check it out.

"It was an accident." I said but he didn't hear me, nor did he see me. I froze there and his hand went through my body as he Popsicles up the surpriseupingly unbroken glass.

"Probably the cat again dear." The woman said and I stood up to look at her. I know that voice. The little girl...she looks...she has to be me. And the woman, she looks like the younger age of the woman who died at the beginning of the year. My mother.

But that must mean that hHe man is my father and...the boy is my brother! But if it's true why don't I remember any of this.

"Probably." He said then looked at the girl who was turning and looking for him. He smiled and ran up to her. He grabbed her and spun her around as he said, "Or maybr a ghoooooooosst!"

The little girl broke into giggles and the boy went back to his book. But behind it you could see he was smiling.

"August, we should go or we'll be late." She said and the man put the little girl down gently.

"I know but Sarah hasn't gotten here yet." He said and the boy looked up from his book.

"Come on, I take care of Iddy till she gets here." He said and his mother bit her lip.

"Alright but-" she started to say but I was yanked out of that dream.

I blinked heavy eyelids open. I'm laying down on something, not a bed but...maybe I'm in the infirmary? My internal organs still feel like they got microwaved, though, and my skin is burned.

"Are you alright? Astrid?" I saw Odd in front of me, his face was hazy but I still smiled. Might have been more of a grimace though. My vision started to clear and I could make out dark circles under Odd's eyes. How long had he been here?

"Yeah I'm fine, what happened?" I asked and sat up. Looking around I could see that I was in the infirmary. My arms had some of those ninja like bandages around them.

"A lot. Well we deactivated the towers that created a clone to, well all of the uh, you know..." He said uncomfortable and I nodded. "After that we had to deal with Eric-"

"What happened with Eric!?" I asked sitting up even more now.

"Apparently after you got Xana tapped and blacked out he carried you to the factory on Yumi and Ulrichs instructions. We had to decide whether or not to do a return to the past." He said and now he was holding my hand.

"Did you?"

"No, mostly because we couldnt afford xana getting even stronger now, he already knew about us "hanging out" in an abandoned factory anyway so it was a matter of time. We also didn't want to because you'd still be unconscious and we figured itd only make it worse if collasped in the middle of class." He said and took a breath. I could see the lingering question that remained in his eyes. If I forgave him or not.

"Thank you, and Odd?"

"Yes?"

"I love you." I said and kissed him lightly. He smiled and kissed me back but only for a second. Then we pulled apart and I started to shift out of the infirmary bed as the pain of my injuries was slowly subsiding.

"I love you too, but hey woah. The nurse said that you should stay for at least another day." He said and I took a closer look at where I was. Since when did our infirmary have single rooms...?

"Wait, where are we?" I asked and stretched up to look through the window. We were above ground level.

"The hospital. Mrs. Hax beleive it or not but you got hit with some pretty heavy watts." A nurse from the side said and I widened my eyes.

"Your lucky that your alive right now I fact." She said and pushed me back down in the hospital bed. "Get some more sleep, you can leave tomorrow as your body recovered well, but for now lay easy." She ushered Odd out and he waved goodbye to me. The nurse closed the door behind her and I was left alone.

Who was that little girl? Why did the boy call her Iddy...Astrid...astrID? Iddy? There's no way. It's too confusing. If that was me and it was some sort of memory than why was I on the side? Like a ghost?

I sighed and before I knew it I was asleep again. No dreams, no worries, no ghost like properties.

Williams POV

I was waiting out side with everyone else when the nurse came back with Odd. Odd looked relieved, worried, scared, happy, anxious, sad, and annoyed all at once. Poor guy.

"How is she?" Ulrich asked and the others immediately stood up. I admit I felt a little jealous at first how she became everyones friend so quickly. How important she became to everyone and vice versa.

"She'll be fine. You kids should get back to wherever you came from it's late and you need rest for tomorrow, don't forget about your school work." The nurse said and the others faces, including mine, melted with relief.

Eric who was sitting quietly in the corner stood up and left. He had come with us and insisted that he make sure she was okay. He threatened that if she wasn't and the Xana thing did end up killing someone then he would tell the press, principle, whoever.

"Can we go see her? We don't have school tomorrow mam." Yumi said but the nurse just sighed.

"Come back in the morning." Was all she said and walked us out.
