Odd's POV

A few weeks after Eric found out and Astrid went to the hospital spring break came. This whole time we had been planning this for the carnival so none of us had even considered spring break. Of course there was other school work too that Astrid was constantly pestering me and Ulrich about.

It wasn't annoying really I loved the way she cared enough end to spend hours trying to get us to study. Normally we'd end up having an all out war that involved throwing pillows, pencils, and cupcake (dont ask).

The only problem that we had now, other than figuring out an anti virus for Aelita, which I left to Jeremy and her, there was the problem of Eric. He had been respectful and part of me thinks that he doesn't want to get involved anyway. He didn't ask about anything afterwards and acted like we were completely normal high school students.

I sat down alone in the cafeteria with my tray of food. That's strange, I couldve sworn that the others were right behind me. I spotted Astrid coming and smiled as she sat down with her tray of food.

"What's up? Where's everyone else they're normally here before us." She asked and I shrugged.

"They'll be here soon. But other than that what are you doing for spring break?" I asked casually.

"Spring break? I wouldn't mind catching up on my sleep but other than that I might go out some." She said and shrugged her shoulders. "Why?"

I opened my mouth to say something when Jeremy, Ulrich, Yumi, and Aelita all sat down at once. Jeremy looked frustrated, Aelita looked annoyed, Yumi looked guilty, and Ulrich looked mad.

"Mind me asking?" Astrid asked and sipped her juice.

"Yes!" They all shouted at once and Astrid widened her eyes. A flash of shock and hurt ran through them but she covered it up by raising an eyebrow.

"Oookay" I said and shared a confused glance with Astrid.

We ate in silence after that and when me and astrid were done and everyone else was avoiding talking by eating agonizingly slow, we both got up and headed out.

"I wonder what that was about...hey where's William?" She said looking around And I shrugged.

"He'll show up. Oh hey, maybe they all had a fight and William ran off?" I suggested and she nodded.

"Maybe, it's kinda strange though. Normally we all tell each-" she started to say but must have remembered something and stopped. After a few seconds we sat down on a bench. She took a shaky breath and then looked at me and said, "Odd..I'm confused about something. Its just..when I was unconscious, you know after the Spector electrocuted me, I bad a dream."

I nodded a my hand drifted to the locket I still kept in my pocket. I don't know why but I hadn't given it to her yet, I was waiting for something. Maybe now is the time.

"Okay so, I was in this house..and it felt..familiar. And when I went to the kit hen table in the house there was a family." She told me about how the little girl looked like her and the mother and father and brother looked familiar too. And about how she knocked over a glass and they came and cleaned it up but couldn't see her.

"It's just..I don't know what to think of it." She said and I shifted in my seat.

"I'm going to be honest with you, you should probably ask Yumi or Aelita about this. I'm not to good when it comes to this. But..." I said and pulled out the small box with the locket in it. She had given me the clay one she had worked on all year while I had found this one. I handed it to her and she raised an eyebrow.

"Whats this?" she asked and delicately pulled off the ribbon and opened the box. Her eyes widened when she saw the locket curled up inside. "Odd! I can't believe you found it!" She exclaimed and slid it over her neck. It rested with her wooden heart and the silver locket.

"I went looking for it a few times." I said and she leaned over and hugged me. I smiled broadly and she pulled back blushing ever so slightly.

I was about to say something when her phone rang. She pulled it out and after a short conversation in English her face fell.

"Hey I didn't know you knew different languages." I said and she smiled.

"Yeah, look I have to go. I'll be back later okay?" She said and ran toward the gates. Wait since when does she carry a purse? She had a leather purse in her hand and she ran past the gates. Since she has to go somewhere I guess.

I stood up and put my hand behind my head. Guess Ill head back to the cafeteria. I already finished my breakfast but maybe I'll squeeze some words out of the others..or any leftover rolls.

"Hey Odd!" A voice calls and I turned to see William. That guy had a strange way of doing things. I don't know how but he managed to become pretty close to everyone in the group. Maybe it was because Astrid kinda excepted him first? I don't know but whatever he did I can't picture the group without him.

"Hey, do you have any idea why the others are so crabby?" I asked and he shook his head.

"Yeah. Here let's grab a soda, ill tell you on the way."

Eric's POV

Of course if I had known that the super computer was their property even though they didn't build it, buy it, or own it then I wouldn't have gone to examine it. However since their logic makes perfect sense I guess I should feel guilty for going their right?

Wrong. Who says they own the supercomputer? The way they confronted me was like I did a crime. I sighed and closed my eyes as I walked back to kadic. Yumi was the only one who kinda defended me but if that's what you call defending then I do not want to go to court here.

"Whoah!" I exclaimed as I bumped into someone running. She and I fell over and she quickly scrambled up.

"Oh hey sorry about that Eric! Look I'm in a hurry! I'm really sorry your okay right? Good um, hope yoir having a nice day off!" Astrid saud hurrying away as fast as she came. If shes still talking to me then they must not have told her.

And it's not like I got caught or anything so don't get me wrong with that. My whole life I've had to sneak around the house withojy my parents knowing and stuff like that. Those guys couldn't catch me for their life.

No I upfront and told them thinking they wouldn't mind. But no, they did.

I stopped as a girl with seriously blonde hair stepped infront of me. She was pretty enough and seemed like she was used to confronting people as she got right to the point.

"We need to talk. You've been hanging out with the gang of twits right?" She asked and I tilted my head.

"Hanging out isnt the correct term but I've encountered them, yes." I said and she put her hand on my shoulder which I shoved off.

"So you know about the supercomputer?"

Astrid's POV

I ran into the coffee shop and looked around. My eyes narrowed as I spot the two men in black suits sitting at a table. I walk over to them and sit down.

"So Astrid you've finally arrived?" One of them ask, he was the friendlier one. I came here because I got a message. No I'm not an idiot I'm not going to come and meet a stranger because they said they'd hurt someone I loved if just call the cops. What was strange about this is I heard it.

Im not going crazy either. I didn't actually hear it, I just felt it. It was like I read a text or remembered something from long ago. I figured I might as well check and see, because if someone could get inside my head...

"You have five minutes, what are you?" I ask and the other one chuckles.

"We've called you here by government order. This will be the place where we discuss what we need to discuss, officials are posted around this cafe, you'll leave when we're dome with what we need to discuss." he said suspiciously and I looked around for myself. Sure enough several other men with a a gun and walkin talkie on each of them are spread around the area.

"fine, but make it quick. And you didn't answer my question." I said but he ignores me.

"Every Monday you'll meet with us here. It may be for a minute or and hour-" he started but I interrupted him.

"Hold up? What makes you think I can come every Monday? I have a thing called school! and I won't agree to anything until I know what's going on!" I say raising my voice a littLe. It was almost like they thought I would obye everything they say.

The friendlier one raised an eyebrow, "Shes right you know. We can work out meeting times." He said and I relaxed only a slight bit.

"As for your question, well you can call me Jeff. He is Alfred." Jeff the friendly one said. He removdd his shades and I got a look of how old he was. He couldn't be more than 19, and Alfred was most likely in his twenties.

"Okay, what do you want with me? What do I have to do with the government?" I ask and Jeff smiles. Alfred sighs and leans back in his chair.

"How do we explain this? Well first off we are part of a secret organization that deals with a very secret and important project, you." He said and I widened my eyes.

"Me?" I asked and suddenly thought about the super computer. Oh no! What if they found out? Why would I be singled out? As long as the others are safe, maybe I can lead them out-

"As for your first question. You'd say /who/ are we, however you might be asking yourself /what/ are you." He stopped and took a sip of his coffee. My stomach was fluttering and my mind was dancing around to anything or everything that could explain this.

"Your body is a kind of internal cyborg. A bigger part of you is human, the rest of you is programmed like a computer."

"I'm, a computer?"

I walked back to kadic with a headache. Part of me rejected the idea but the other part thought of it as a logical explanation. I always knew which way to go in lyoko. I also was very smart in basic areas, and I could guess the time any pointing the day.

Aslita was there looking much calmer than normal in our room. She was typing away on her phone and looked up happily when I walked in.

"Astrid there you are! Odd said you had something to do out in town. Are you okay?" She asked and I nodded wearily. It was late afternoon but felt like midnight. They had said I could call and plan with them but I had to meet them at least once a week. They trusted me with the responsibility to try things out and test things.

When I went there I'd either say nothing changed or something did. I sighed and fell on my bed. Shoving a pile of papers off.

"Your not okay, where did you go?" She asked genuinely concerned. I opened my mouth to explain but then stopped. How would I explain? I froze, would they look at me differently? Part of me tried to reason if be even more useful in lyoko but the other part knew they were human. And humans reject strange things.

I felt bad for Aelita. I broke out crying and she had no clue why.

"Whats wrong? Is it cause of earlier? I'm sorry we were all pretty shifted then. I'll tell you what happened." She said but I shook my head. I grabbed a tissue and cleaned up. I said nothing as I stood up and walked out of the dorm. I smiled my thanks at a confused Aelita and ran outside. Once I was there I ran into the forest and made my way to the factory.

I didn't go to the super computer but ran into the maze of hallways. Without knowing I followed the exact place to where I saw Jimmy. I sat down and stared at the wall. My thoughts rushed around in a complete jumble.

After some time I received a call on my phone. I didn't answer, and eventually everyone called me. One by one I listened to the happy ringtone I had and closed my eyes. It stopped for a few minutes before it rang again.

Odd. I reached for it, tempted to pick up, but then I flipped it open and pressed the Hangul button. Why bother them with all of my problems? Because their your friends! They'll be there for you.

"You could've answered ya know." A voice said and I whipped my head was standing there with his goofy smile on his face.

"Im sorry." I mumble and he instantly shifts.

"No no, it's okay. Anyway what's up? Where did you go and what happened?" He asked and I shook my head.

Everything poured out of me at once. Odd say down next to me and listen intently. I told them what they said about meeting them, and finally I told him what I was. He looked surprised but not freaked.

"Astrid, do you think any of us will care if you are a computer, if what they say is even true. Besides we used to think Aelita was a computer before we discovered her dad was franz hopper. It didn't stop us from being friends with her. And thiswont change anything with you." He says and threads his fingers through mine.

I sniff, minutes before I'd been on the edge of crying my life out.

"Odd Delarobia." I said and he looked at me seriously. "I love you." I say and he smiles.

"I love you too."

*Whistles* Look! I did a thing! I don't what got into me but wow...to be honest I've had this planned out since I started this fanfiction but it. Feels so strange toput it out I the open. What do you guys Think? Is it good or did I just screw up the entirety of the fanfiction? Whatever you think I'm proud of my plot twist so there...wait weren't there...yeah there was more then one...whelp...have a good day!
