A/N: Just wanted to give a shout to a new writer on here that goes by the name of Kbeckettcastle. Kbeckettcastle has two stories on here which I am beta-ing while I work on Family; so it may take longer for me to update this since I am pulling double duty. If you all could do me a huge favor... go read and review Kbeckettcastle stories; A Long Summer & Sixteen Years Later, it will be greatly appreciated by both of us.
Ninety-Ten
Beckett had gotten in late from work the night before. Castle and the kids had been in bed for awhile when she had finally gotten in. The following morning; Beckett was up long before the kids and Castle were awake so she took the opportunity to go for a run at a nearby park since she had time to kill. Just because it was second nature for her at this point; Beckett took her badge and gun with her on the run.
About an hour and a half later; Beckett was back just in time. The kids woke up shortly after Beckett had gotten in from her run and secured her gun. Beckett already had the coffee brewing for her and Castle as the kids came to the center island in the kitchen.
"What's for breakfast; Mommy?" the kids asked sleepily.
"Well good morning to you too." Beckett said correcting her kids.
"Good morning Mommy."
"That's better. How do pancakes sound for breakfast?"
"Great."
"What kind of pancakes do you want?"
"Chocolate chip." Johanna Martha said.
"Banana." Kat chimed in.
"Blueberry." JJ replied.
"Apple." James Royce answered.
"Alright then."
With that Beckett started cooking. Midway through the cooking she heard her husband shuffling in from their bedroom. Beckett let the pancakes cook as she switched over to pouring coffee for her and Castle.
"Daddy has a fuzzy face!" the kids shouted when they saw Castle.
"You guys like it?"
"Yeah!"
Beckett got her first look at her husband's new unshaved look when she turned around to give him his cup of coffee.
"Mr. Castle?"
"Where would you like it?"
"What do you say; Kate?"
"Do you remember when we first met? I kind of thought you were an ass."
"Well, Kate?" Castle asked again.
Beckett snapped out of her reverie.
"I'm sorry; babe, but I don't like it…"
And with that the morning got a bit more awkward; at least it did for Castle and Beckett.
