Alexis, Jake and Martha came over later on that day. Castle and Beckett weren't speaking. The kids had told their sister and Grams what had happened. Alexis clued Jake in.
"So what do you guys think of it?" Castle asked.
"I like; Dad." Jake said.
"It makes you look distinguish; darling."
Once again there was a pause. The only noise emanated from the kids who were playing.
"What do you think about it; Alexis?" Castle asked.
At this point; Alexis had just reached the second month of her pregnancy and was dealing the never ending morning sickness. The game plan was for Alexis to get some advice for all the things she would experience while she was pregnant and then everything after the baby arrived. Alexis, Beckett and Martha would be meeting Lanie and Jenny at Nobu for a late lunch.
Just as Beckett had slipped into her memories before when Castle had asked what she had thought of his new look; Alexis also slipped into a memory.
"You should have me committed?"
"For what? Letting her move in? I think it's sweet."
"It won't be when I strangle her."
"You know I'm only fifteen, right?"
"You're an old soul."
"Yeah, well, me and my soul can wait."
"Alexis Harper Castle – Bausch." Castle said.
"Seriously; Richard?" Martha said reprimanding her son.
"Really; Rick… her full name. You had to use her whole name."
"Guys; its okay."
"Well?"
"It's okay."
Castle didn't let Alexis off that easily. He had her explain why she responded the way she did. Midway through Martha and Beckett came to the rescue once again as they said that they were going to be late for their lunch if Castle continued on with his inquisition.
