Astrid's POV
It was cold, freezing, yet I felt like I had 103 degrees fever. For a while I tried figure out where I was, what happened, and how I can get out of this. But EVERYTIME I came close to the surface it was like I hit an invisible wall. Like someone has there hand stoppme everytime I get close.
Not just that but everything feels so tired, including my heart. I can't remeber anything, it's like I'm just floating in an empty space. I'm not existing, at least not with my consent. Every second I'm getting closer to somethng though. I can feel it. Like my world has been reset and little by little im rebuilding it. Documenting the things I can conclude and remembering them.
Then every now and then, Ill catch a glimpse of something. If I can grab the hand pushing me back and pull I'll see something. I saw a room. Wih moving platforms and monsters. Then exploded with a flick of my hand and a button stopped the room from closing around us.
That triggered a memory. It's...it's soemthing with...other people...and we're fighting together to stop the room from in on us. Like what I just did.
In an instant my black world in which I float in opened up and my eyes adjusted to the bright surroundings around me. My hand was stretched out, in the middle of doing something. What was it I was doing?
An invisible force hit me and instantly the breth was knocked from my lungs. I collasped to the ground and tried to catch my breath. My hands pressed against the ground recognized it as the tingly feeling of a virtual world. I'm in lyoko?
No...not quite. I feel like im dreaming. Who is that...infront of me. It's a boy. He looks to be ilder than me...19? He has white hair. "Xana?" I whisper and the boys face comes into view. No this can't be xana. He images makes me warm...I feel like I know him. He feels familiar.
"Who are You?" i ask and his look grows sad, but not threatening.
"I am Xana...yet I'm your brother too...and your friend.." He says and before I can react the air is knocked out of me again and I fall to the ground. I in a soft grassy feild. Yet it virtual. How does this look so real?
"wh...what happened?" I managed to catch my breath but when I looked up I saw no person. Just a giant orb of light big enough to hold a person inside. A person.
"Franz Hopper!" I said coming to a realization. I'm in a place in lykoo I've never seen before. I was being controlled by something, but he must have saved me. The beautyof a clear mind and being able to think straight thoughts again flushed over me and I took a moment to recall everything that I remembered.
The closest thing in my memory before that black nothingness is staring at the sky. I touch my cheek as the memory of them being flooded with tears wiped over me. Odd...
I shake my head ferociously. There's no time for this now! Shakily I get back up on my feet. I'm dressed in my almost usual lyoko outfit. However now it was all white with very light electric blue outlines for color.
"What? No...this isn't how it should be." I say and the memory of someone forcibly pledging me to serve something flows into my mind for a split second. I'm not anyoned toy, or tool, or anybodies but my friends.
I flick my hands as if I'm trying to dispell water from them. In one movement to color of my outfit changes back to its original. That's more like it! I look back over to the orb and i see it shift and change forms.
A couple of days of light flick towards my hands, and the message comes through almost instantly. "Yeah,alright!" I hold my hands out and focus on the image of franz hopper I saw with Aelita that one time. However I'd preferably have this be the real franz hopper and not a fake. Formulas, calculations.
A sheer moment of understanding how and why the super computer and its functions work passes through as I connect to thie unknown side of myself. It's as if i can understand all of lyoko! I widen my eyes as I search and find the program that I need. I put it to use but before I know it the moment is gone and I am as confused as ever about it all. Why this series of wires os connected to this series is still as foggy as ever.
Despite that the quickly found program works and before me the sphere of light morphs back into Franz Hopper. He blinks and squeezes his hands as if he doesn't belrive it's all real. Looking up and me he gives me a soft, fatherly smile.
"Astrid thank you. I don't know how can repay you. I have so much to say but we are limited on time. With what little strength I had o was able to free you from that woman's hold but I can't do it for long. Use this to amplify your will and ability to disconnect yourself from her. Be strong and be brave Astrid. There will be many times she will try to take advantage of you through this. You must be ready to repel her each time." He says and hands me a simple necklace that resembles a torch and a wing. Have I seen this before? I feel like I have... Never the less I string it around my neck and look at him gratefully.
"Thank you! I'm so sorry...I wish...I wish I could've been stronger the first time... However one thing is for sure! I will not let her...do whatver she did to me again!" I say and he chuckles softly.
"Im sure you have enough will to keep her at bay for however long you need to. Grow resident Astrid. At the moment we have a more pressing issue though. The woman, she comes from a mostly secret organization know as the I.S.P. The international Super Program! They are he ones who transformed you into a human in the first place. Jeremy has been researching them with my guidance for a few weeks, however neither of us anticipated this." he said gravely.
"He knew about it! He could have told us i could have prepared!" I said but Hopper looked at me with a calm expression.
"They did not attack you at random. They waited until you were vulnerable. We're you not in fragile spirits when this occurred?" He ask and I widened my eyes and then bit my lip. They must have had some influenced with Odds condition. I shake my head.
"I suppose your right but ill focus on that later! What are they planning to do right now!? How can we stop them?" I ask
"Your friend sissy-" 'not friend' "-They used her. They've used an amplified version of what they did to uou on her...amplified but much riskier. She will not turn out hHe way the hope. And not nearly ad stable as you. They made a fluke with her, they put her to too many test and no longer can they control her. This operation that they have was mainly for them to comfirm there hold on you. However...i beleive they go now to attack the core of lyoko. Th want to destroy this world befoe we have the chance to destroy them. That where you were before I brought you here. When I bring you back thats where you will resurface." He says and I nod.
"I should go, we're Running out of time." I say bht he holds up a hand.
"Astrid I'm afraid the outcome of this will result in lyoko being destroyed and you and your friends being destroyed along with it. It's too late to save lyoko. They've already done the damage and are only waiting for yoh to reappear so they can secur your safety. Once you are back at the core I need you to release this program. As you know there are many replicas of e super computer. Not all of them are meant for evil purposes. These will spread you and your friends each out to a different super computer. It's your duty to find and reunite your friends after this occurs. Use the necklace you have ton es tore there memories whigh will assurdly be deleted along with the computer. Then friends will come to help. Not all agencies are bad remember that. And stick with your friend, or not, sissy. Sh can assist you and I think you'll find she has had a change of character." He said and a solem attitude kept me quiet.
"I understand." I say and hold a tiny glowing orb, the program, in my hands. "Send me out!"
"Stay safe Astrid, good luck, be courageous, don't give up hope and tell my daughter I love her!" He said before he raised his hands and sent me back with a great bolt of light.
I was virtulized and landed with a Thud on the floor next to the core of lyko. I waisted no time and quickly released the program.
"Jeremy activate it now!"
"Astrid!?"
"NOW!"
"What's going on?"
He must have got then i true because the tiny orbs exploded and went into a renzy of covering everything.
" Lyoko...is going to be destroyed. This will take us to a safe place. Franz hopper gave it to me."
I see Aelita, William, and Odd enter the room and I lock eyes with odd.
" Astrid!" He started to say but just then the core of lyoko exploded behind me.
We were destroyed immediately. cutting off a beetles a head. It'll live for a for more moments. In those moments Yumiand Ulrch entered the room. Silence rang in my ears and I couldn't hear anything.
Pi rushed down the stairs however, reaching out my hands to Odd and Aeliat and William. Throwing a desperate glance at Ulrich and Yumi joined us.
"Everyone!" I said with pure joy even though when I did no sound came ground my throat. As the world started to collapse we fell to the ground and held onto each other for our lives.
"Everyone! Good luck! I'll find you again!" I scream into, my sheer desperate voice penetrating the infinite virtual world, my breath looses its power as im sucked in a portal that will seperate me and my friends again. I started to lose consciousness and thought about my friends as the program went to work.
The last string of words that ran through my mind that night would come to fuel me for the rest of my life.
'I will find my beloved once more!'
