All The Songs Make Sense

Beckett stayed in Castle's arms for a while longer after the song had finished.

"Happy 11th Anniversary; Rick and Kate." the radio dj said when he came back on the air.

The kids were smiling as they watched to see what their parents did next.

"We hope that the next eleven years are just as great as these past eleven years have been for you two." the other radio dj said.

There was silence in the loft now as the kids turned the radio down. Castle and Beckett recalled something at that moment.

"Beckett. How do you know when you're in love?"
"All the songs make sense."

"All the songs make sense; babe."

"That they do; Kate, that they do."

Castle and Beckett shared a long, passionate kiss. After that Beckett started to make dinner for the family while Castle spent time with the kids. Castle would be heading out on a book tour in a few days and he wanted to spend as much time with all of his kids as he could before he left. He also wanted to spend time with Beckett before he left; but that would have to wait until the young eyes and ears of their four musketeers weren't around.

"So what do you guys want to be for Halloween this year?" Castle asked.

"Batman." JJ said.

"Robin." James Royce said.

Castle and Beckett smiled at the same time. The boys were going through their superhero phase.

"What about you two?" Castle asked his daughters.

"Queen Elsa." Johanna Martha replied.

"Princess Anna." Kat answered.

The girls had just seen Disney's Frozen when they had gone over to a friend's house for a play date and they had fallen in love with the two female characters just as everyone else in the world had. Once again; Castle and Beckett had smiled when it came to the kids' Halloween costume choices.

After his talk with the kids; Castle had gone to get some wine for him and Beckett.

"So what are you going to be for Halloween this year; Mrs. Castle?"

"You'll have to wait until Halloween to see what I'm going to be; Mr. Castle." Beckett teased.

There was brief moment where Castle had to collect himself just as he always had whenever Beckett had taunted him like she had just done.

"I don't know what my mother is coming as yet or what Jake has decided on; but Alexis said she's going to be Maleficent since she can still fit in the costume."

With that Castle spent the rest of the night trying to figure out what Beckett was going to be. He was also hoping that she wouldn't prank him like she did the year he had dressed up as Edgar Allan Poe for Halloween.
