A/N: Just wanted to let all of you know that my focus is back to being on Family and this lovely fanfic series I've got going on. Things with the beta-ing for that other writer I mention a few chapters ago have recently fell through. Anyway hope you all enjoy this chapter.
Black Friday
Now Castle and Beckett had both been use to early morning starts, all –nighters and waking up at odd hours during the night. It came with being parents, a cop and a cop helper. So waking up early to get all their Christmas shopping done on Black Friday was like second nature to them. Both Martha and Jim had stayed the night as did Alexis and Jake.
After dinner the night before Alexis had pulled Beckett aside.

"What's wrong; Alexis?"
"Nothing's wrong. There's just something I have to tell you that I was kind of hoping you would tell Dad when the moment is right…" Alexis answered.
Alexis was so nervous that she started to visibly shake a bit. Beckett noticed and went into the same mode she had went in when Jenny had showed up at the scene of the building fire Ryan and Espo were caught in on the day of Sarah Grace's birth.
"Let's sit over here."
The ladies went back over to the dinning table.
"What's going on Alexis?" Beckett asked as she handed her daughter a glass of ice water.
"Jake and I found something out the other day at the Doctor's appointment we had."
"Okay; what did you find out?"
There was a slight pause in the conversation.
"I'm having twins apparently. The second baby is a girl and she was hiding behind Charlotte until this last ultrasound."
"Okay, first off, congratulations. Secondly, what's the baby's name? And third; why the hell are you so nervous?"
"Thanks mom. The baby's name is Siobhan Taylor and the nerves are because of Dad. He didn't exactly take the news so well the last time."
In the brief moment after Alexis responded; Beckett's mind lapsed.
"So master baker Jimmy Whelan, long time purveyor of caloric, yet delicious, baked goods, sponsor of a local kids softball team, charter member of the small business round table, but what was he doing with $50 grand in cash and why the secret trips to Staten Island?"
"Sounds like you're not the only one keeping secrets, Castle."
"I'm going to ignore that."
"That's peculiar."
"What's peculiar about wanting to ignore…"
"No, no, no. I mean these purchase orders. They show that Jimmy spent over $70,000 dollars on kitchen equipment. Like a 20 foot wide walk-in freezer?"
"I don't remember seeing that."
"That's because there wasn't one. It wouldn't even fit in his kitchen."
"Yo. So I ran '68 Chargers. There's only a handful of them on the road. But get this; one of them is registered to a Robert S Shannon, aka Bobby S. He's a shot caller for the Irish mob over in Staten Island. He's a ruthless son of a bitch, too. Drug trafficking, assault. He's suspected in over half a dozen murders over in Staten Island."
"Wait a minute. Secret trips to Staten Island, all that cash. What if the cupcake shop is actually a mob front? Jimmy Whelan the baker is really Jimmy Whelan the money launderer. Bobby S could have had a falling out with him, could've whacked him."
"Maybe, but we're going to need more than just his car at the crime scene to connect him to that murder."
"Well I may have somebody who can help us out with that. I pulled Jimmy's phone records and the last three days he received numerous calls from a woman named uh … um … Siban? Sio… Sib…."
"Siobhan."
"Siobhan?"
"Yeah, the Irish are notorious for spelling names in wild and unpronounceable ways."
"I don't even see how you get that from…"
"You're not alone."
"Kate!" Alexis said.
There were times where Alexis would switch between calling Beckett Mom and when she'd call Beckett by her name.
"Oh what? Sorry, memory lapse."
"Will you tell Dad about Siobhan?"
"Sure."

As Castle and Beckett waited towards the front of the line for F.A.O Schwartz; Beckett decided to lower the bomb so to speak since she knew her husband would be heading over to Tiffany & Co. for a special batch of gifts for all the ladies in his life; ex-wives excluded of course.
"Rick; there's something I have to tell you before you go over to Tiffany & Co."
"Don't tell me that you're pregnant again cause that would be too Father of the Bride Part II for me right now."
"One; the only way that moment would happen for you was if you got Meredith pregnant again while Alexis is pregnant and there is no way in hell that will ever happen. Two; what I have to tell you isn't about me or us really."
"Then who does it pertain to; Kate?"
"Alexis."
"What about her?"
"She's having twin girls, Charlotte of course and now another little girl who they choose to name Siobhan Taylor."
"So Charlotte Aurora and Siobhan Taylor." Castle said.
"Yup."
With that the doors of F.A.O. Schwartz opened and shopping begun. Hours later and many shopping bags later; Castle and Beckett met up at Le Cirque for lunch before heading home.
