Hours and a lot of pain later; Castle and Beckett were looking their premature granddaughters in the NICU.

"They're so small." Beckett said.
"Just like their Aunt and Uncle."
Beckett went back to the day that Kat and JJ were born. Instead of Charlotte and Siobhan being in the NCIU basinets; Beckett imagined Kat and JJ in them.

"How are we going to handle this; Rick? Two premies and JM?"
"Whatever way we can."
Beckett reached into the basinet and let her daughter wrap her small hand around her finger.

Déjà vu came over Beckett again. She reached into a basinet as Castle did the same.
"Siobhan, Charlotte; we're your grandparents. This goofball here is your Grandpa Rick and I'm your Grandma Kate."
Castle said hi to the girls. Eventually everyone else got to meet Charlotte and Siobhan. Alexis and Jake got to see their girls too.
Late that night; after the family returned to the loft, Jake and Alexis fell asleep in the NCIU beside their twins. In the early morning hours; Charlotte and Siobhan got a visit from their L.A. grandmother.
Meredith read the names off of the side of the basinets. Security cameras in the NCIU rolled on; documenting Meredith being in the NCIU.
"Welcome to the world; Charlotte Aurora and Siobhan Taylor. I'm you're other grandmother; your grandma Meredith."
After watching the twins for a while Meredith left but after she left two little items behind.
Two bears with the girls' names were sitting on top of their basinets. The following morning Castle and Beckett were asked about the lady in the security tape by the hospital security.
"That's his ex-wife."
"Meredith Castle."
Castle explained everything to hospital security. Beckett wasn't pleased with Meredith's late night, covert visit. Castle could sense it. They both knew Alexis would be livid when she found out about Meredith's visit.
