A/N: I know it's been quite some time since the last time I updated this story. I am taking a break from it for the time being since I have been using the same lines from the past six years of Castle in this story. I wish to wait until the seventh season starts up next month so I have new crop of lines to use. Thankfully ABC has released a promo for the seventh season premiere with one of Stana's lines being said in the promo. Here's a chapter to hold you all over until I am able to resume writing this particular story next month; but in the mean time please check out the other Castle story I have been working on lately; it's called Documentary.

Replayed Phrase

In light of all the good things that had been going on for Beckett and Castle; there was still one thing that would never leave Beckett's mind. In a few hours; their granddaughters would be home from the hospital which meant a huge family gathering. But as Beckett tried to sleep; her mind went back in time which in turn prevented her from getting the rest that she desired.

"He's not in the car."

As if the repeat button in her brain had been stuck; Beckett had the memory of her being back at the scene of Castle's car accident on the day that should have been their wedding day. For Beckett; it was like she was back in the embankment, still in her mother's wedding dress looking into Castle's Mercedes as the Hamptons Fire Department got the flames from the crash under control.

"He's not in the car."

That day had been one of the worst days in Beckett's life.

Beside her in bed; Castle could sense his restless wife.

"Forget about that day. Go to sleep."

"Easier said then done, babe."

"He's not in the car."

"Kate; it's in the past. We got our fairytale."

"I know that Rick."

"He's not in the car."

Castle was now wide awake just as Beckett was.

"I know you'll never forget that day, I won't forget it either. But sometimes we have to have some of the bad so that we can have some of the good too."

"You sound like a greeting card, babe."

It was then that Beckett remembered the other time that her husband sounded like a greeting card.

"Well, maybe it is a sign. A sign that ours is a great love story. Because what's a great love story without obstacles to overcome? Every fairytale has them. Terrible trials that only the worthy can transcend. But you can't give up. That's the deal. We want the happy ending, we can't give up."

"Let's get some rest so we're all set for our granddaughters' homecoming in a few hours." Castle said.

"Okay, babe."

With that the duo shared a kiss. Beckett and Castle drifted off to sleep. As she drifted off to sleep; Beckett found comfort in Castle's arms.
