Blake awoke to an empty hotel room with Ruby nowhere in sight. She rubbed her eyes and checked her phone. She had two messages from her older brother, Darius and one from Trinity. Trinity had told her to wear her swimsuit under her clothes because the group might go to the beach.
Darius on the other hand had informed her that he was on his first mission under Captain Steve Rodgers. He also mentioned that the Hulk had not made an appearance for several days and he missed his friend. After reading through the messages, she slipped her swimsuit and clothes on and left the hotel room.
Trinity, Kitty, and Tabitha were sitting in the lobby, laughing, and joking in a few armchairs that were set up in the corner. Ruby and Phoebe were sitting on the one couch across from the other three girls and both were freaking out about something that had happened in the book they were both reading.
Shylow, Kurt, Piotr, Evan, and Jamie were sitting on the floor near the girls talking about something and Bobby was sitting beside Phoebe not really paying attention to what the girls were up in the air about.
"So where are we going anyway?" She asked the group at large as she walked to where they were all located.
"We figured we could see the local life for a little while then go to the beach this afternoon!" Kitty told her as Phoebe stood and went to sign them all out with Storm.
Phoebe motioned for everyone to come over after she finished talking to Storm and the group all stood, heading toward the door and out into the streets of Honolulu.

After wandering through the Hawaiian streets for several hours the group came to a beach that was fairly deserted except for a few locals. Blake and Shylow who had never been to the beach before were very impressed. They both were soon splashing and acting like idiots in the water with Bobby, Phoebe, Jamie, and Ruby.
Kitty, Evan, and Tabitha were lying on their towels sunbathing, Piotr and Kurt were sitting nearby on beach towels having an animated discussion about something that had happened at the school.
As Trinity was getting ready to join Kitty and Tabitha, she received a call on her cellphone from one Max Martin. She greeted him enthusiastically and announced to the others who had called, they all gave their greetings except Shylow.
"Tell him I said I miss him…" Shylow told her not looking over.
Trinity passed on the message to her friend before telling the others that she was going for a walk.
Trinity made her way about a mile down the beach when she heard a voice speak behind her suddenly.
"Hey there baby, what are you doing off all by yourself… Maybe we could keep you company…" A tall skinny boy who was probably two or three years older than her.
He had a shorter broad-shouldered companion with him. She rolled her eyes and quickly transformed into a velociraptor.
The shorter boy lifted his hands up and a small twister of sand formed in his palms. The taller, scrawny one transformed into a T-rex. Trinity gulped and quickly set at a run between them and down the beach toward her friends.

When Trinity made it back to the part of the beach that was occupied, Jamie and Bobby turned to see two oddly colored dinosaurs running toward them.
"God Damnit Trin…" Jamie said audibly making the others turn and look.
When Trinity was within a few feet of Phoebe and Blake she quickly transformed back. The other followed suit and Phoebe pulled a couple fire balls off her lighter. Blake shot out her claws and Bobby quickly coated himself in ice.
But just before anyone could act three people came running at the two boys. One shot off a beam of red energy from his chest, one had streams of water swirling around her arms and one had camouflaged herself to match the sand at her feet.
The girl with the water shot one stream out and wrapped it around one guy's waist. She lifted him into the air and threw him out and into the water making the other growl.
"You dweebs better get lost before we come back!" He shouted as they ran off.
The camo-mutant, a tall girl with deep brunet hair and hazel eyes laughed.
"That's right, you better run!" she shouted and turned to look at the students from the institute.
"Sorry about that… those guys are idiots!" the boy who had shaggy blonde hair and brown eyes told them.
Blake happened to notice that he seemed extremely familiar then turned when Kitty spoke.
"You're Alex Summers!" Kitty exclaimed making several of them go wide eyed.
Blake looked confused and turned back to the blonde guy.
"Summers like Scott Summers?" She asked him to which he nodded.
"You guys go to school with my brother don't you, that explains it!" He told them with a laugh, "We are supposed to start school at the Institute next fall." He added to which his two friends nodded.
"Well, I'm Kitty and these are my friends Blake, Kurt, Shylow, Bobby, Ruby, Jamie, Peter, Tabi, Evan, and Phoebe… and the one you rescued is Trinity!" She told them and everyone exchanged quick handshakes.
"Well, this is Layla..." He told them motioning to the aqua-mutant, "and this is Mari!" He added pointing to the camo-mutant.
"We have to get going but it was nice to meet you guys!" Mari told them waving as the three left the beach.
The group stayed on the beach and enjoyed the ocean for a few more hours before heading back to the hotel for the evening. After deciding on plans for the next day the group ate dinner and settled down for the night.

That night at the same exact moment Darius and Blake both had awful dreams, it was pitch black and there were footsteps in the distance suddenly there was a sharp scream and a woman's voice cackled loudly before they both awoke screaming at the same moment. After a few moments Blake snuck to the other side of the room and grabbed her phone off the charger, she quickly moved out onto the balcony and called Darius.
"It's happening again…" She told him, "I heard that voice… it seemed so familiar… but so unrecognizable!" she was breathing heavy.
"It's ok… when you get back come see me… we can figure this out together!" He told her with a sigh.
