Story begin:
-Forest of death day 2-
Team 6 had woken up and quickly made their way to the tower in the center of the forest of death to get this part of the exams over with as soon as possible. On the way they encountered the team from Ame which was taken care of quickly due to the team getting help from the foxes and Naruto trapping the Ame-nin in the trees with mokuton, they also took out the Iwa team who wanted Naruto's head as he was the son of Minato and Iwa still had a grudge, Naruto and team 6 trashed them something fierce and Naruto simply told them to get over themselves. However when they got close to the tower they met up with the other teams who were trying to fend off the team from Otogakure.
Team 6 saw that the other rookies where trying to stop the Sound team from getting to team 7 so Naruto decided to end it quickly seeing as the other teams seem to be at their limits and the sound team where about half strength.
"Senju Ninpo: Hiraishin Renda [Senju ninja arts: Flying Thunder God Barrage]" Naruto called out tossing out a number of Tri-pronged kunai at the Sound team, they snickered thinking he missed until their world went black, and all the other rookies saw was a series of flashes of yellow as Naruto flickered between the three sound nin faster than the speed of light knocking them out. When it was finished Naruto retrieved the Kunai and called Karin and Ino and the foxes to come out.
"Okay guys let's head to the tower now" Naruto said to his teammates
"Right behind you Naruto-kun" Ino replied.
"Let's go Kaori" Karin said walking behind the two blonds.
"Wait a minute" came a voice, when team 6 turned to the voice they were met with the sight of team 9. The boy that stopped Naruto was Neji Hyuuga the 'prodigy' of the branch family of the Hyuuga clan, Kushina and Hikari told Naruto all about the Hyuuga clan and how they are split between the main family and the branch family that serves the main. Neji was dressed in a white Sweat shirt and black pants he had his long white hair in a ponytail, two straps attached to a smaller headband was under his forehead protector.
"Yes Hyuuga-san what do you want of us?" Naruto asked
"What is your name" Neji asked with a sneer on his face.
"I believe one gives their name first before asking another's" Naruto replied not liking the sneer on Neji's face, 'Great I bet this guy thinks he's the greatest thing to happen since instant ramen' Naruto thought to himself.
"It's Hyuuga Neji, not that it matters to you, now your name. Now" Neji demanded.
"Senju-Uzumaki Naruto, satisfied" Naruto rebutted, not liking the guy's attitude one bit, "Now if you don't mind me and my team need to get to the tower" Naruto added as team 6 went on their way. They left soon so as not to be delayed by the other teams again however Ino did say good luck to her older brother and his team and Naruto did the same with team 8. When they left team 8 and 10 went about their way as well, leaving team 9 and the recovering team 7 to their thoughts.
"Hey Neji isn't Naruto Senju the Yondaime's kid," The Girl Tenten asked, the same age as the other konoha rookies Tenten had her brown hair in two buns and dressed in black pants and a simple Chinese dress shirt.
"YOSH NARUTO-KUN'S FLAMES OF YOUTH BURN MOST BRIGHTLY" Shouted Rock Lee a kid with a bowl cut hairstyle and a pair of caterpillar like eyebrows, he was dressed in a greed latex unitard and orange leg warmers, he had his forehead protector fashioned as a belt and his hands were bandaged.
"Lee cut it out" Tenten said bonking Lee on the head. "You know Neji you just disrespected the Hokage's son, not to mention his grandmother is Tsunade-sama" she added looking to her ever-stoic teammate.
"Hn" was all Neji said to that "Tenten, Lee we need to recover our second scroll let's not waste any more time" he said walking away from them. And with that team 9 went on their way just as team 7 woke up.
"Ugh what happen to my head" Sakura said as she woke up the last thing she remembered was cutting her hair to get out of the Oto-Kunoichi's death-grip on her hair. She then remembered that her precious Sasuke-kun was still unconscious "SASUKE-KUN" She screeched as she ran to the sleeping boy cradling him like a newborn. Sai was the next to get up followed by Sasuke, once all the fighting and what not the three teens headed out to get not one but two scrolls seeing as they had their taking. All the while Sasuke rubbing a mark on his neck that looked like the Tomoe of the Sharingan.
-With team 6 at the tower-
It was around midday when team 6 finally arrived at the tower. Once inside they found an inscription which they deciphered as to telling them they had to open the scrolls now. So taking one heaven and one earth they opened them and immediately had to throw them as Karin and Naruto recognized them as some kind of summoning.
They cough as a cloud of smoke enveloped the room only to disperse revealing Arashi,
"Aniki what are you doing here?" Naruto asked seeing his older brother.
"Well I'm here to congratulating you on passing the second exam, also good job making it this earlier you're only an hour behind the team from Suna" Arashi said, team 6 then jumped and whooped in joy. Arashi then told them the real meaning behind the inscription as meaning that to progress as a shinobi you must have balance, if you lack earth you must train your body and if you lack heaven you must train your mind, the physical and spiritual aspects of chakra.
"Okay guys lets go inside and I'll show you to your rooms and then we'll go to the dining area" Arashi said once he finished his explanation.
"Hey aniki did tou-chan get my message?" Naruto asked as they were heading to the diner after finding their rooms.
"Yeah he did, good find little buddy" Arashi said ruffling his younger brother's hair.
"Hey where's Tayuya-sensei, sensei" Ino asked wondering why the red-head was not with them at the moment.
"Well she needed to go to the hospital as Tsunade needed to check her to make sure Tayuya and the baby is doing okay" Arashi said with a face-splitting grin.
"Wait Tayuya is pregnant aniki?" Naruto asked Ino and Karin getting closer.
"Yeah, it's great isn't it that means you're going to be an uncle otōto" Arashi said still smiling.
"Well, I'm happy for your aniki, how's Kā-chan and tou-chan, they must be thrilled to be grandparents." Naruto asked
"Yeah I think my ear-drums nearly burst thanks to Okā-chan and Obā-chan's squealing" Arashi said pretending to try and get something out of his ear. "Anyway she should be here when the second stage is finished to see how you guys are doing"
"Well tell her I said congrats aniki," Naruto said with the girls nodding their agreement.
"Alright you guys, don't forget to get some rest" Arashi said disappearing in a flash of yellow. And with that team 6 retired t their rooms to get some well-deserved sleep.
-Meanwhile at the Senju residence-
Arashi arrived back home to meet Tayuya and Tsunade walking in, the young couple embraced before Arashi turned to Tsunade
"So how does everything look Obā-chan" he asked, looking towards his mate he gave her a warm smile which Tayuya returned with fervor.
"Everything checks out, Tayuya is indeed pregnant but it's still early for things like checking the baby as the fetus is still developing right now so it won't be until the second trimester when we see the signs of a baby bump. Now as for the 'morning' sickness that should stop after the 12th week for most women. Now I think it's understandable that you eat plenty and drink plenty of water, and please stay away from the sake" Tsunade said in 'doctor' mode.
"Hai Obā-chan" the couple said
The three then went into the sitting room to find Kushina sitting with Hitomi on her lap drinking a bottle. Kushina looked up from feeding Hitomi when she heard the footsteps.
"Hello you guys" she said with a smile.
"Hiya Kā-chan" Arashi and Tayuya said with Tsunade saying a quick hello, walking over and joining Kushina on the couch looking over to her granddaughter.
"So Arashi how's my little Naru-chan and his team doing." Kushina asked looking slightly worried about her youngest boy and her little niece aswell as Inochi's daughter.
"Team 6 arrived at the tower at midday today and I saw them with two extra pairs of scrolls" Arashi said with a grin
"YEAH THAT'S MY LITTLE NARU-CHAN TTEBANE" Kushina shouted jumping for joy over her son's victory. Just then Hikari and Honoka walked in just returning from a mission to pick-up medical supplies from Suna and Yu no kuni.
"What's the matter Kā-chan" Hikari said walking into the sitting room.
"Your Otōto has just finished the second part of the chuunin exams three and a half days early with more than enough scrolls" Kushina said with a proud grin on her face
"YEAH GO NARU-CHAN, THAT'S MY OTŌTO TTEBANE" Hikari said in a much similar fashion to her mother. "Can we go see him, make sure he's okay" Hikari asked wanting to see her little brother {her older sister instincts kicking in}
"He's doing fine Hikari, he is an Uzumaki after all" Arashi said "Plus only the team senseis can visit their teams right now otherwise it might count as outside interference" he added, at this Hikari pouted wanting to see her little brother.
"Don't worry Hikari will be able to see him in a few days" Honoka said assuring her cousin.
"Oh Musume, your older brother and Tayuya just got some wonderful news today, Arashi-kun Tayuya-chan, care to share the good news with them? Kushina said changing the subject to cheer up her.
"Well, Tsunade-baa-chan ran some tests today and they revealed that I'm pregnant" Tayuya said smiling warmly at the end as Arashi hugged her. Honoka and Hikari looked like fish out of water.
'In 3… 2… 1' Arashi thought counting down to the inevitable
"OH MY GOD, that's great congratulations you two ttebane/sayo" the two girls squealed making Arashi cover his ears from the sheer volume of their voices. Tayuya however didn't mind as she had gotten used to it hanging out with the girls and their friends like Haku and Anko.
"What the hell is going on in here" came Jiraiya's voice as himself and Minato walked in
Arashi told them what's been going on and then told the two that Naruto just finished the second stage of the exams. The others than began talking about the exams, when the girls went to the kitchen to help Kushina in the kitchen to prepare dinner, Minato and Jiraiya went about doing thing and Arashi went up to his room he shared with Tayuya. It was after a while when Tayuya came into the sitting room to sit down again
"Hey where's Arashi" she asked the men
"I think he went up to your room" Minato answered looking up from his book.
"Huh I wonder what he's doing" Tayuya pondered to herself, excusing herself she went up to the room to find Arashi working away on something,
"Sup Rashi-koi, what you up to?" she asked him, Arashi looked up from his work and over to his mate with a warm smile.
"Hiya babe, just working on some lyrics for a new song, I got some ideas floating around in my head and I wanted to put them on paper before I forget them, it's one of the reason way I don't really practice guitar unless I got a recorder around cause if I start playing I get ideas for rifts or chords that sound great but then I go and forget them looking for a recorder of some sort." Arashi said rubbing the back of his neck, "Anyway, you want to have a look, see if any catch your fancy for a duet or something."
"Sure if you don't mind" Tayuya replied
"No of course not and you did say you'd like to write a song together and this is one of the ways I start" Arashi said, he gave the notepad to Tayuya who looked at the pad and saw some of the lyrics, there was a good number of song ideas here a couple upbeat ones and a couple of relaxed ones, even a couple of ballads but one caught her eye and she thought it would great idea for a duet
"How about this one," she showed him one with lightning bolts encircling the title of the song. "You have it here you need two guitarists and I'd like to learn guitar" Tayuya added looking at the foot notes he had at the bottom of the lyrics.
"Sure if you want I can teach you, during the month interval before the third part of the exams, is that okay with you" he asked her.
"Yeah that's fine, gives us more time together" she smiled seductively.
"Oh is that how it is, well remember after these exams, if the squirts get promoted we can take a couple of missions together before you have to go off duty on maternity leave" Arashi said pulling Tayuya on his lap "Then we'll have a lot of time together when the baby is born" he said holder her tightly.
"Arashi, Tayuya dinner is ready" Kushina said calling from the stairs.
"On our way, let's go Rashi" Tayuya said getting up off his lap. And with that the family had a nice meal for the night.
-Forest of Death three days later-
On the fifth day the second exam came to a close and only 8 teams managed to make it to the end. These were the Six from Konoha, the four rookie teams and Kabuto's team, then the team from Oto managed to make it as well as the Suna team. They were all gathered in front of a statue of hands making the Tiger hand sign.
The Jōnin senseis and the Hokage were all gathered up on the balconies. Naruto was looking around and spotted His older brother and Tayuya, and his Kakashi-Ero-ji-san who gave him a lazy wave and his patented eye smile, with his orange book ever presented, Asuma-ji-san was there as well, Hiruzen always the grandfather figure in Naruto's life Asuma was like an Uncle as he was always nice to him when he was younger and Naruto respected him so much for it. Up beside his father was Jiraiya, Iruka and Anko.
Minato started his speech by congratulating the participants and then went onto explain the true meaning of the exams, Naruto already knew they were a means to promote trade between the five great shinobi villages and the minor ones as well, and a means to showcase their strength as the strength of a village is shown by the shinobi and the villagers, Naruto however drifted of studying his opponents. He needed to be prepared for anything and anyone, even if they could be his fellow konoha-nin. 'let's see the team from Oto I already dealt with so I don't need to worry about them, If I end up facing Gaara I need to take him out quickly and subdue him with my Mokuton, that will handled his Bijū. Sasuke and his team should be no problem, I already fought Sasuke twice and defeated him both times. Sakura is a pushover and that Sai character only has his beast scroll technique, Neji has his Jyūken [Gentle fist] coupled with his Byakugan. Karin says she can't feel any chakra from rock Lee and his sensei is Maito Gai which means more than likely he is a taijutsu specialist. Tenten is a weapon specialist, so if I can dodge her weapons all I have to do is hit after that as she would have exhausted herself. That Temari girl battles with that Fan so she must specialize in Fūton jutsu, her brother Kankuro has that puppet so he is a puppet specialist and probably has more than one. Shino is an Aburame so he will fight with his bugs, Kurama's chakra is poisonous to everyone but me, aniki and aneki, so I just channel Kurama's chakra when he tries to drain me with his Kikaichū beetles. Hinata is in the same as Neji although with her confidence Issue it's hard to say. Kiba and Akamaru will be though with their collaboration attacks but Keitaro and I will dish out twice as much as them, Shikamaru should be easy enough I have more chakra than him so he will find it very hard to keep me trapped in his Kagemane no jutsu [Shadow imitation Technique]. Ino's older Brother will have the same techniques as Ino and won't be able to use his Shintenshin no Jutsu [Mind Body Switch Technique]. Chōji is a powerhouse so I just need to out-power him which shouldn't be too hard. Kabuto and his team I don't know too much about so I'll have to be careful. All in all these preliminaries should be fun and interesting.' Naruto thought to himself.
As he finished his thoughts his dad was about to start the preliminaries but was interrupted by a jōnin by the name of Hayate Gekko. Hayate explained exactly what Naruto figured and that was Preliminaries, after some outcries from the rest of the genin, he also asked if anyone wanted to drop out now, and Kabuto and his team were the only ones to put their hands up to drop out after some hidden signals here made between the team and their jōnin sensei. Then when they disappeared Minato signaled Arashi, Kakashi and Asuma accepted their orders and each disappeared in their own Shunshin. Inomaru who was looking like he just returned from a war with bruises and cuts all over him and an arm and leg in bandages, he forfeited and was carried away by the medics.
When no one else put their hand up Anko spoke into her headset and an electronic board appeared behind the Hokage,
"Alright Maggots take your place with your senseis, your names will be chosen by the board behind me," She shouted, when she was finished the board lit up and started jumbling the names. The first two names it landed on was Sasuke Uchiha and Zaku of the Sound, [This match goes the same as in canon when they fight in the forest] just before the match started Anko told all but the two contestants to head up to the balconies. When going up Naruto went up and hugged his sister in law
"Congrats Tayuya-nee-chan" Naruto said,
"Thanks squirt, and nice job making it here three days earlier, Hikari and your mom were doing cartwheels, and I think your grandpa and grandma won it big with bets on you" Tayuya said ruffling the kid's hair, Karin and Ino also congratulated their sensei,
"Hey nee-chan where did aniki go" Naruto said looking for his older brother
-Meanwhile with Arashi-
Arashi, Kakashi and Asuma were currently following Kabuto and his team in through the forest of death, they were about halfway through the Forest when Arashi decided to head of the team, using the Hiraishin.
Kabuto and his team stopped when they saw a flash of yellow appear in front of them with Arashi appearing out of the flash with his Fusion swords fully combined and poised for battle
"Ahh Arashi-kun so nice to finally meet you" Kabuto said with a smirk on his face
"Sorry buddy I don't swing that way," Arashi said matching Kabuto's smirk
"Oh I know, all about you and Tayuya, congrats on the baby by the way" Kabuto said with his smirk on his face.
"Genin Kabuto Yakushi you under arrest for suspicion of treason and dealing of sensitive information to non-konoha Nin, will you and your team come quietly" Arashi said devoid of all emotion seeing as he was in shinobi mode
"Oh I'm sorry did I hit a nerve" Kabuto said trying to push his buttons, however it wasn't working, Arashi was like his father, cheerful, kind and upbeat, however in the battlefield he is cold ruthless and a killer, nothing Kabuto does besides outright attacking his precious people will push his buttons.
"Hatake, Sarutobi please take care of Yakushi's teammates, I will deal with Yakushi himself." Arashi said still with the cold voice.
"Oh Arashi-kun you shouldn't underestimate me, I'm faster than Hatake there" Kabuto said, Arashi just smirked and flared his Rinnegan, Kabuto was shocked those eyes were supposed to be a myth
"How did you get those eyes" Kabuto said all humor in his voice gone.
"Oh you mean the Rinnegan, you're looking at the Nidaime Rikudō Sennin, Banshō Ten'in [Heavenly Attraction of All of Creation]" he said resealing his sword and performing the jutsu with his other arm pulling Kabuto towards him, Kabuto then felt the pull and was flying through the air. When Arashi had Kabuto in front of him he had gravity double for Kabuto while sealing off his chakra,
"Now Yakushi, you have been charged with treason after attacking a konoha Nin, the punishment for treason in Death, how do you plea" Arashi said his voice still cold and emotionless
"Guilty, my last words is that my only regret is not fulfilling Orochimaru-sama's dreams" Kabuto said just before Arashi placed his hand on Kabuto's Forehead
"Ningendō [Human Path], Kyūkon no jutsu [Absorption Soul Technique]" Arashi said as he pulled out Kabuto's soul, gaining all his memories, once done sorting through the memories he deactivated his Rinnegan and performed a Katon jutsu to incinerate Kabuto's remains. Once done with that he regrouped with Kakashi and Asuma who reported that their targets had also retaliated and attacked them [Kakashi and Asuma] forcing Kakashi and Asuma to eliminate them. They then Shunshined back to the hall where the prelims were being held. Once they got there they just caught the end of Sasuke's match witnessing him tearing of Zaku's arms. Kakashi went to Sasuke seeing the Curse mark spreading, he Shunshined himself and Sasuke to a disclosed location to seal of the curse mark.
Arashi then went up to join his team as the next fighters were being chosen, it was when Arashi reached his team that the board finished choosing.
Ino Yamanaka VS Hinata Hyūga
Ino and Hinata went down to the arena and faced each other,
"Hey Hinata Let's have a good fight, give it your all okay" Ino said looking at her opponent. Hinata just nodded meekly.
"Fighters Ready? FIGHT" Hayate said.
The two started slowly with Ino being the aggressor and Hinata merely defending herself, as this was going on Ino was getting pissed seeing as Hinata was in the mindset that she didn't want to hurt Ino, however Ino getting fed up told Hinata that her enemies won't give the pleasure of being nice to them, and if she really wants to be a shinobi she needs to cut it out and get serious otherwise she's going to get killed, her speech seem to work as Hinata seemed to get another wind and tried to turn the tables. However due to her starting to fight back after being beat around by Ino at the start she wasn't fighting at a hundred percent, so after a dance of punches and kicks from Ino and Hinata, Ino decided to finish it off with a Doryūdan [Earth Dragon Bullet] knocking Hinata out cold. Ino was announced as the winner and rejoined her team up on the balcony.
The next match was Neji vs Sakura which was a short fight once both fighters decided to stop talking and fight. Neji had easily got under Sakura's guard and closed of her tenketsu.
After their match was Kiba vs Kankurō, this match was a bit longer however as Kiba managed to make Kankuro take out all three of his puppets, Crow, Black Ant and Salamander. Crow was a humanoid puppet that shot poisoned senbon from its mouth, Black ant was another humanoid puppet with a bucket shape face and two red horns, both puppets had three eyes and four arms. Salamander stayed true to its name in appearance, it was equipped with a shield that blocked Kiba's Gatsuuga [Fang Passing Fang]. Kankurō won when he managed to hit Kiba with a poisoned senbon telling him to forfeit for the antidote.
The board started again to pick the next contestants, landing on Karin Uzumaki-Senju and Kin Tsuchi.
"Give her hell Karin" her team told her,
Karin and Kaoru went down and faced their opponent who had another sneer on her face
"Great another weak konoha Kunoichi," she said her sneer deepening.
"I'm afraid that Haruno-san does not represent all of Konoha's Kunoichi, you will find the rest of us take this seriously" Karin said adjusting her glasses. Hayate then gave the signal for the match to begin.
The two Kunoichi rushed each other engaging in a taijutsu battle, trading punch for punch and kick for kick. Kin push Karin forward and jumped back to prepare her Illusion bell needles,
"Don't ask for whom the bell tolls as it tolls for you" Kin said
'Hmm for whom the bell tolls eh? Sounds like a good title for a song' Arashi though scribble the idea away in his own little notebook. [Don't own the song, book, or anything with the title For Whom The Bell Tolls, they are owned by their respectful owners]
Using bells attached to her senbon Kin casted a genjutsu that caused Karin to hallucinate making her see more than one however with the help of Kaoru, Karin dispelled the genjutsu and then casted her own one to make Kin think her plan worked. When kin went in for the attack she found herself clutching her stomach after getting a knee to it. Karin followed up with a roundhouse kick to the face and a Water gun jutsu to knock her out,
"Great Job Karin" Arashi said
"That was awesome ttebayo" Naruto said
"Yeah you kicked her ass" Ino said, this was the welcome Karin got when she went up to balcony, Tayuya congratulated her by ruffling her hair and saying good job.
The next match was a disappointment, as the board selected Shikamaru and Chōji to fight however Chōji, wouldn't fight his teammate so he forfeited saying Shikamaru was better suited for chuunin then him and he really didn't want to fight him even after being bribed with BBQ beef.
The Next match was Shino versus Sai, this match was boring and drawn out as seeing as both fighters really didn't have much taijutsu skill they just fired jutsu at each other, Sai would fire off some ink beasts and Shino would counter with his beetles, the match finally ended when Shino managed to catch Sai off guard with an insect clone and planted one of his Kikaichū beetles on Sai which proceeded to suck him of his chakra.
The next match was against Sabuku no Temari and Tenten. [This fight is the same as in the manga/anime] the rest of the genin were shocked when Lee prevented Tenten from being paralyzed by landing on Temari's Fan after Temari had thrown her in the air.
"I'm sorry but I cannot allow you to do such an un-youthful thing such as that Temari-san." Lee said after catching her
"Feh whatever" Temari said walking back up to the balcony.
With only four contestants left it was only a matter of who would face who, as the last to names to be called on the board appeared.
Naruto Uzumaki-Senju vs Rock Lee
"YOSH NARUTO-KUN LET OUR FLAMES OF YOUTH BURN BRIGHTLY" Lee shouted
"THAT'S THE SPIRIT LEE, YOU TWO WOULD BE PERFECT ETERNAL RIVALS IN THE SPRINGTIME OF YOUTH" Maito Gai added giving his nice guy pose
"GAI-SENSEI DO YOU MEAN IT"
"OF COURSE MY BRILLANT STUDENT NO GO AND LET YOU FLAMES OF YOUTH BURN PASSIONATELY WITH YOUR ETERNAL RIVAL AND SHOW WHAT GENIUSES OF HARD WORK CAN DO"
"THANK YOU GAI-SENSEI"
"YOUR WELCOME LEE"
"GAI-SENSEI"
"LEE" the two green cladded makes chanted as they got closer and closer
"QUICK LOOK AWAY BEFORE ITS TOO LATE" Arashi said to his team and the rest of the people gathered, Tayuya, Naruto, Ino and Karin as well as the other rookies, Minato, Kakashi and Asuma managed to look away in time, Kurenai and the others however didn't
"Why would I look away" Kurenai asked before her eyes witnessed something truly horrific and that was the sight of Gai and Lee hugging on a cliff during a sunset as the waves bet of the cliff wall
"OH MY GOD WHAT IS THAT, KAI" she shouted then tried to dispel the genjutsu she thought they were making "OH CRAP IT ISN'T DISPELLING WHAT KIND OF GENJUTSU IS THAT"
"GAI, LEE KNOCK IT OFF ALREADY WE ARE TRYING TO CONDUCT THESE EXAMS REMEMBER" Minato shouted
"HAI HOKAGE-SAMA" The green pair replied.
Naruto threw a tri-prong kunai down to the arena flashing at it as Lee vaulted over the banister of the banister landing and striking a Bruce-Lee like pose.
"Alright fighters get ready… FIGHT" Hayate said starting the fight. Lee made the first move by shooting towards Naruto and aiming a kick for his face which Naruto blocked with his left arm and then aimed a fist towards Lee's midsection, which hit and sent Lee back but Lee recovered landing on his feet however he didn't expect for the next attack
"Suiton: Teppōdama" Naruto shouted firing a ball of water from his mouth towards Lee, however Lee dodged in a show of extreme speed, dodging a kunai from Naruto he went in for the attack again only to miss his mark with a kick when Naruto disappeared in a flash of light.
"Wow Naruto is showing a great deal of skill with that jutsu" Kurenai said
"Well of course he is me and Tou-chan did teach him in it" Arashi answered "That and he is an Uzumaki so of course we rock by default" He added boasting a bit however he was silence quickly by an elbow to the ribs courtesy of Tayuya.
"LEE TAKE THEM OFF" Gai said he was getting giddy at the challenge Naruto would provide his student with
"BUT SENSEI YOU SAID…"
"I KNOW WHAT I SAID, BUT JUST THIS ONCE DO IT AND GIVE IT EVERYTHING YOU GOT" Gai said giving his nice guy pose again.
"YOSH" lee said saluting he then reached down and grabbed something under his leg warmers, everyone was wondering what was going on, when he pulled out weights everyone was confused for a second as Temari demonstrated by saying
"Heh what' taking of a few pounds going to do"
However Minato's Arashi's Tayuya's and Naruto's eyes narrowed as they knew exactly what lee was about to drop, lee dropped the weights and they crashed causing mini craters making small dust clouds.
"Lee how much weight was in those" Naruto asked
"Yosh there was at least 600lbs total" Lee answered and then he vanished again in even greater burst of speed that only the jōnin could see, however Naruto also could see him coming especially after sparring and training with his aniki and Tou-chan. Dodging the kick aimed for his head again Naruto then formed a rasengan and shoved it into lee's gut, however it wasn't full powered so it knocked lee into the wall but wasn't enough to kill him.
Knowing he needed to smarten up lee began with feints, aiming a punch at Naruto who blocked but then Lee would then follow up with a kick the midsection, Naruto then took a beating as lee seemed to get faster now he had the weights off. That was then when lee struck, launching Naruto up in the air, lee got him in a hold and performed the primary lotus, which was like a seismic toss [the move from Pokémon], the move caused a large crater to form, and lee stood up thinking he got his opponent however the Naruto in front of him went up in smoke telling everyone that it as a shadow clone. The real Naruto appeared by the wall
"Okay lee I think I take off my restrictions as well," Naruto replied forming a ram seal "Kai" he said as he released his gravity seals, which at this stage was up to 5x. He then rushed Lee and everyone could see that they were matched in speed. Trading blow for blow, Naruto also tried getting him with a few water and earth jutsu which he managed to hit lee a couple of times. Lee looked to his sensei getting permission for another technique, getting the approval lee smirked.
"Naruto-kun it has been an honor fighting with someone as youthful as you however I must end this fight"
"Kaimon Gate of Opening: Kai, Kyūmon Gate of Healing: Kai Seimon Gate of Life: Kai Shōmon Gate of Pain: Kai Tomon The Gate of Limit: Kai" Lee said as a surge of energy surged through him
"Gai I don't believe you thought him how to utilize the right gates, is that all he can open or can he possible open all eight" Kakashi asked. Ino and Karin and Tayuya had confused looks on their faces
"He can only open the first five" Gai replied.
"The Eight Gates are eight specific points on a person's Chakra Pathway System. They limit the overall flow of chakra within a person's body. The basis for the idea of the chakra gates comes from the body's limits on the functions within it. This makes the body much weaker, but it keeps the body from expiring too soon. By undergoing intense training, one can learn how to open these gates allowing the user to surpass their own physical limits at the cost of extreme damage to their own body." Arashi answered the girls' unvoiced question.
Lee than vanished again rushing Naruto again however the strength in lee's attack was tremendous, even when blocked they still managed to hurt Naruto.
'Fuck better finish this soon otherwise I might end up in hospital, and I definitely don't want that' Naruto thought. Then deciding on it Naruto went with a Hiraishin assault throwing a few at lee who dodged them. However that was what Naruto was expecting flashing towards the kunai closest Naruto began his assault, with low kicks to sweep lee of his feet and then a few mid-section kicks followed with punches to the head, then he grabbed lee by the feet and slammed him onto the floor then going through hand seals and landing on Tiger.
"Mokuton: Jubaku Eisō [Wood Release: Tree bind flourishing Burial]" Naruto shouted slamming his hands to the ground, a tree then erupted from the ground ensnaring Lee in it. Lee awoke to find himself trapped in the tree he tried to struggle however the more he did the more the tree restricted his movement.
"Proctor he can't escape from that jutsu call the match" Naruto said looking at lee with a sorry expression.
"Right, Winner Naruto Uzumaki-Senju" Hayate said, shocked from the use of mokuton jutsu, in fact everyone save for Naruto's team, Kakashi and Minato as well as the Anbu were shocked. The heard Naruto was rumored to have the mokuton as his grandmother is Tsunade, however to actually see it was a different thing altogether.
After being declared the winner Naruto released the jutsu and free lee who had shut off his gates jutsu.
"That was a great Lee-san, sorry to end it like that but I hope we can spar again in the future" Naruto said extending his hand for a handshake. Lee did the same as the shook hands
"Not at all Naruto-kun that was a most youthful match, it has rekindled my flames of youth most brilliantly. And I look forward to our next match and if I cannot win then I will do 500 laps around konoha on my hands and if I cannot do that then I will do 500 leg-squats and if I cannot do that…" lee said starting to drift off towards the end
"Lee enough" Tenten said striking the boy over the head lightly
"Sorry Tenten-chan" lee replied
"You're pretty talented Naruto-san, if you don't mind I'd also like to spar with you sometime" Tenten said.
"Sure I don't see any problem with that, now if you'll excuse me I need to rejoin my team" Naruto said.
When he rejoined with his team he was glomped by both Ino and Karin and the foxes, Arashi and Tayuya sweat dropped at this.
"AH get off me" Naruto whined. The girls got off with blushes on their faces
"You know otōto you could of finished him off before he took of those weights, why didn't you" Arashi said looking at his younger brother
"Yeah but then that wouldn't have been much of a challenge now would it," Naruto replied with a smirk. "I'm just glad these prelims are almost over, I'd kill for some of kā-chan's food right now"
"Yeah well all we have to do is wait for this last match to take place and figure out whose fight who in the finals and we can go home." Tayuya said.
And with that Gaara and Dosu, the last to fighters made their way to the arena. When Hayate gave the signal to start, Dosu rushed Gaara, aiming for the kill however he was stopped by a wall of sand that appeared out of the ground. Jumping back Dosu dodged a spear of sand aimed right for his torso.
When the sand retreated Dosu tried to go for another attack to get in close, using his Resonating echo Drill he managed to manipulate the air waves around him and Gaara to try to disorientate Gaara however it was appearing to have no effect
"Is that everything you have to offer in this battle" Gaara said in a stoic voice that still managed to sound bored.
"I show you" Dosu shouted going in for the attack
"Enough of this" Gaara said holding out his hand
"Sabuku Kyū [Sand Binding Coffin]" Gaara said as the sand gathered around Dosu and trapped him inside. Gaara then rotated his hand
"DIE" he said as the sand then constricted fiercely crushing Dosu instantly, blood stained the sand a crimson red and many a genin there threw up not being used to seeing scenes like that.
Minato and the leaf jōnin all narrowed their eyes, 'this kid has killed before' they all thought.
"*cough* the winner is Gaara *cough* *cough*" Hayate declared.
"Will all the Genin that have won their matches please gather in front of the statue so we may determine who will be fighting who in the finals." Hayate said between coughs, you see Hayate Gekko has been sick now for the longest time however no-one knows from what. His girlfriend Yūgao Uzuki has been trying to get him to go to Tsunade to see what's wrong with him but he just won't go.
Anyway, when all the winners were gathered in front of the statue Anko came forward with a box and placed it on a table in front of the genin.
"Alright Maggots come up here and take a ball out of the box, when we call your name we want you to give us your number." Anko said, the ten winners went up to pick out their ball, Kakashi, who had returned to find out about the rest of his team, picked out Sasuke's ball for him seeing as he was incapacitated at the moment. When everyone had picked out their ball Anko started calling out the names alphabetically
"Gaara of the sand" Anko said

4th match Hyūga Neji vs Aburame Shino
5th match Gaara of the Sand vs Uzumaki-Senju Naruto
"Okay people good fights today, now you have a month's reprieve until the Finals, use this time to heal and train." Minato said "I will see you all in a month's time" he said as he flashed out of the room, all the people then began to filter out, Ino went to go check on her brother and said she would see everyone tomorrow.
Meanwhile Naruto, Karin, Tayuya and Arashi Flashed back home. Once everyone made it into the sitting room Naruto was pulled into a hug by his mother.
"Oh my little Naru-chan, I'm so proud of you, your chichi told me how you gave them hell" Kushina said hugging poor Naruto a little too hard
"Kā-chan c-can't b-breath" Naruto gasped for air,
"Gomen Sochi, I sometimes don't realize my own strength" Kushina said rubbing the back of her neck "Now, are you hungry Naruto, can I fix you something to eat"
Naruto's eyes lit up in excitement
"I'm starving kā-chan" Naruto said with a pleading look on his face
"Okay then, well let's go fix some food up for everyone then." Kushina said.
The rest of the evening pretty much went the same, Tsunade and Hikari both glomped Naruto saying how proud they were. Minato and Jiraiya both ruffled his hair and saying good job kiddo, dinner was quick affair that night with a simple meal had by all. Jiraiya had told how he was going to Train Naruto for the month and how Arashi was going to help, Tayuya and Hikari and Honoka were going to train Karin, with Kushina helping the two with their Fūinjutsu at the weekends. When they all went to bed Naruto went to sleep that night excited about training with his grandpa and most of all excited about the finals that will be taking place in a month. That night he dreamt of being hokage and decreeing Ramen and his mother's cooking the best food in the world and Fridays being crazy hat days.

Omake Tempests and Bamboo Shoots Part 1:
Arashi and Tayuya where enjoying their time at the festival when a fortune teller called out to them, wondering what she wanted the couple went over to her.
"Ah what a lovely couple I can tell you two will live a long and happy life together" the teller told them. Tayuya blushed but she was happy and she could tell the teller was right it felt right being with Arashi.
"Now look into my crystal ball and I will tell you your future." The teller told them.
What Arashi and Tayuya didn't know was that the teller was then possessed by Tobi with his eternal mangekyō sharingan. He then cast a Tsukiyomi on the crystal ball which just happened to be a red crystal ball rather than the normal clear one fortune tellers usually use. Tobi was using this to test out his eternal Tsukiyomi in fact he has been using it on random people however he couldn't go into the world like normal seeing as he was using a proxy rather than catching them himself seeing as he couldn't risk being seen just yet, no not until his plans came to fruition.
Anyway back to Arashi and Tayuya one minute they are standing in front of the teller and next thing they know they are in a playground that was familiar to them,
"What the fuck are we doing back home Rashi" Tayuya asked recognizing their hometown.
"I don't know Tayu-hime but let's get home and find out. This way we can at least tell them that we're home" Arashi said taking her hand the two began to leave the park when three teens who appeared to be no older the fifteen/sixteen it was also clear they were members of the clans of konoha. One was wearing a leather jacket and black shinobi pants, he had brown shag hair and if the large dog beside him didn't give away his identity the fang like marks on his cheeks identified him as an Inuzuka. Beside him was a questionably dressed girl she had a very revealing fishnet shirt with a jacket opened, she had short shorts and high heeled sandals, her blue hair was down and her eyes told the, she was a Hyuuga and once more she had that 'I'm greater than you because I'm a Hyuuga'. The last was a though one though but the kid reminded him of Shibi Aburame. The three kids stopped upon seeing Arashi and Tayuya exiting the park.
"Hey man, who's the chick?" the Inuzuka asked as if he knew Arashi.
"I'm sorry do I know you" Arashi asked
"Oh come on man it's me Kiba, don't tell me you forgot Menma" Kiba said
"Menma who the fuck is Menma" Tayuya asked getting confused
"The boy you're trying to steal from me slut" the Hyuuga said grabbing Tayuya by the shirt
"Hey who the fuck you calling a slut Hyuuga, cause the way I see it bitch, you're the fucking slut round here what with the way you're dressed and get your damn hands off my Fiancé" Arashi said pissed off at this uppity bitch calling his mate a slut. He grabbed her hand and twisted her arm behind her back then pushed her away with his foot to her back, It was so worth seeing the shocked face on the three teenagers "By the way I ain't this Menma you guys are so friendly with, the name's Arashi as in Tempest, now if you excuse me, my fiancé and I need to go see Hokage-sama" and with that Arashi and Tayuya walked off hand-in-hand,
"Did anyone else find that suspicious" Shino said regaining his composure.
"Yeah the dude had a ponytail and looked about three years older than us" Kiba asked Akamaru, Kiba's ninken [ninja hound] bit him in the ass "Ah Akamaru you asshole" the two then argued and Akamaru then ran off, "Good riddance I was always more of a cat guy myself." Kiba finished as team 8 went off.
-Back with Arashi and Tayuya-
Arashi and Tayuya made their way to the Hokage's Office, on the way they met up with a surprisingly hyper Shikamaru Nara, a weight-aware Chōji Akimichi, and a shy Ino Yamanaka and even stranger was they were all older looking. It wasn't until Arashi and Tayuya went into the Office to Find a Smaller chested Tsunade and a Bustier Shizune with Black Hair behind the Hokage's desk that the message finally sunk in. they were trapped in a different dimension
"Fuck me not this Shit again" Arashi muttered to himself.

Okay so a lot happened this chapter, next chapter will be the month off, with some surprises,
Now sorry I didn't do all the fights and then the fights I did do were short, don't worry the finals will be more detailed,
Kabuto is gone, no need to worry about him absorbing Orochimaru's corpse and trying to rule the world.
By the way is it just me or wouldn't Lee and Gai's perfect theme song be Flaming Youth by KISS. I dunno I think it would. But that's just my opinion,
This chapter also marks the end of me bashing Sakura as she will improve drastically from here on in. Sasuke might and might not redeem himself it's hard to say right now without giving anything away so I'll say no more.
One last thing in my Omake, the reason that Arashi and Tayuya don't recognize Team 8 is because they didn't meet team 8 yet, and Arashi's memory of his old friends is hazy at best, he remembers bits and pieces about them but not their names of what they looked like. In fact for all we know everyone could have been different genders in Arashi's old dimension.
