Kei

So far I couldn't believe how bad my day had been. First I get captured by the already pissed cheif of police for setting fire to her headquarters and escaping then I'm fored inot answering questions to the avatar and her angry here I am tracking a scent that has nearly gone cold from a severed arm that I probably bit off last night.

"Kid you got anything yet?"

Growling a bit I turn to face an impatiant looking cheif along with Korra and Asami.

"Look tracking isn't as easy as it looks, there are already thousands of smells floating around here and trying to find one old one around here is next to impossible."

She mumbles something about being lazy but I ignore her and get back to business sniffing around. Truthfully I had already located the scent but I was just looking for the right moment to ditch them and track down and finish Amon by myself. The scent flowed like a yellow blood stain all around the back alleys of the city but came to a sudden stop at a rund down bridge.

"The scent stops here but I can sense that he came this way"

Lin shoved me aside before slamming down her foot, I might not be a earthbender but I could hear the sound waves she was emitting flowing throught the ground.

"Looks like there's a old maintance hatch near the riverbed."

All eyes look to the avatar as we waited for her to take the hint.

"Yeah I'm on it."

With two quick sweeps of her hands the water split apart and with another sweep froze holding it into place as we made our way down only to stop at a rusted beyond repair. Wich as it tured out was not going stop the cheif of police from getting Amon. She surprised all of us by grabbing the door with her bending and ripping it right off the hinges before shoveing us in.

"Alright you two make with the light." I hear her say througth the darkness of the maintaince tunnel. Korra instanly summons a small flame in her hand illumaiting the place while I keep my hands planted in my pockets.

"Well you going to help with the light or not?"

"Yeah I'm sure black flames in a black tunnel will really help brighten this place up. Besides I can see in the dark so just stick close to Korra while I try to pick up the scent."

With that setteled I proceded to pick up where I had left off and tracked the scent of Amon through tunnel after tunnerl while looking for the right oppertunity to ditch the girls and finally get revenge. Only problem was the cheif was keeping her eye on me and Asami and Korra kept beside me keeping me from walking ahead.

"Kei can I ask you something?" Korra asks as we turn a corner into a giant room filled with half broken pipes where all the water was flowing into a massive whirlpool.

"I guess I do owe you some answeres."

"Alright then first question if I do change every night will I go beserk if Asami isn't with me like she was last time."

"Hard to say, when I was liveing with the spirit wolves they taught me that within all humans is a primal nature. The wolf spirit is that primal nature made flesh, but in my case all I've felt for years is anger and hatred toward Amon and as such my wolf has become a hate filled animal that tears apart everything that stands in it's way."

She didn't say anything for a while but with my hearing I could tell by the sudden stop of her heart and momentary lack of breathing that she was completly shocked but still she asked me the following question.

"And what about me? What will my wolf be like?"

"The only thing I can say about that is that whatever person you inside will determine what kind of wolf you will be."

"Alright then can you explain why my apperance changed I mean I don't hate it but I'd just like to explain my new apperance to my parents next time I see them."

"Simple the wolf inside you just made some cosmetic changes like how some animals have stripes or spots we werewolves have altered human formes." I was about to continue explaining when a chargeing sound filled my ears before moments later my body erupted in pain as I was blown across the room.

Cheif Bei Fong

"Kid help me raise a wall and Asami you go check on wolf boy."

With the two of us it was easy to raise a giat slab of earth to protoct us from the onslaught of electrical shots that kept raining down from hidden equalists from the pipes above us. When we sure the wall would hold we retreated back to Asami and Kei to see if he was still alive.

"He's out cold but still alive." Asami tells me after feeling for a pulse and checking his breathing.

"Great but with him down where severaly outnumbered and outgunned...We'll retreat for now and return once we have reinforcements."

"But..."

"No buts Korra I want Amon as much as anyone but these pipes all lead to one place so we at least know where he is when we return. Besides it will be nightfall in a few hours and I'd rater you be somewhere containable if you do change every night."

She takes one look back at the now cracking wall and sighs before helping me pick up Kei as we head back down the tunnel we came in and back up the the surface only for two equalists to emerge from the shadows ahead of us and before we could make a fighting stance we chi blocked and knocked out.

When I opened my eyes next I found I was chained up along with the other three and from the light comeing into the cell I could tell we had been out for a few hours.

"You finally awake?" I search for the owner of the voice and find Kei arms arms and legs severly bound to the wall by restraints so that he couldn't move his body."

"How long have we been here?"

"Hard to say but judging from how much the sun has gone down I'd say at least four hours at the least and seven at the most."

I give the chains a good pull only for them to hold firm.

"I take it you tried to melt your way through these?"

"Can't they come in every few minutes and hit me with a chi block. They must really want to make sure that we're helpless."

"Well that's just great anything else you want to tell me?"

"Well not to point out the obvious but the moon will be up pretty soon and you're trapped inside a very small room with a werewolf who's lifelong hated enemies are a few feet of steel away."

If the kid was right then we would have to get out of this room as soon as possible. For the first time in a long time I took a page out of Tenzin's book and took a deep breath as I mediated and waited for the chance to break my bonds. I didn't have to wait long until a guard came in and jabbed his fist into Kei's sides, chest and arms.

"Hey get me a water I'm thirsty"

This gets the guards attention and he makes his way over to me.

"You better shut up you bender scum or else." he says sticking his hand just a little to far into my face.

Seeing my chance I lunge forward and grab his arm with my bound hand and pull him forward knocking him onto his stomach. I keep my hands open and pull the keys from his belt and slide them into the keyhole with my bending. Before he has a chance to get up I pull the earth up and around him burying him in rock before moving to unlock Kei's shackles before moving on to the girls.

I try to shake the girls awake but when that fails I grab the guards glove and set the voltage to it's lowest setting before giving both girls a small shock waking them up with screams of pain.

"Girls you can complain later right now we have to get out of here while we can."

When Korra opened her eyes my heart sank in my chest. For her eyes instead of yellow were now a glowing orange. When I look to Kei I could see his eyes were glowing and he was clutching his heart.

"Chief we don't have much time left."
